This gives us ammo for any wine and cheese party, as well as the all-important trivia night. Most of all, it feels good to end a lesisurely day with a sense of accomplishment.

Sometimes it's nice to turn off your phone and focus on something that's right in front of you. Looking at a piece of art and letting your thoughts drift can be really therapeutic. Many of our stressors melt away as we try to figure out what Gaudi meant by all of those melting clocks. But if that gets too heady, we're content with just admiring some beauty.

Nuremberg (No. 5)

Neues Museum Nürnberg (NMN) is a museum for modern and contemporary art and design in Nuremberg, Germany.

In 1990 the Bavarian government decided to build a 20th-century museum.

The building in which the museum is located was designed by the architect Volker Staab. Construction started on 11. September 1996 and ended in October 1999. The official opening was on 15. April 2000. On 3000 sq/m contemporary art as well as art and design dating back to the 1950s is being shown.

Since March 2015, the NMN houses bees on its roof. City beekeeper Bernd J. Kobr currently looks after the bees. Their honey "Stadtgold" ("City Gold") can be bought in the museum shop.

Nuremberg (No. 5)

The walls and gate to the Old Town are located opposite the Central Railway Station. Having stood for over 500 years, they are an impressive and powerful sight. The Frauentorturm, rebuilt to its present form in 1558 to guard the Frauentor (gate), is unique due to its arched windows and round, top window. Located in an enchanting area with medieval walls and courtyards, traditional shops & restaurants, etc., Frauentorturm is one of the first things you see if you arrive in Nuremberg by train.
