since I´m the biggest perfume-hoarder I know of, it was just a matter of time when the question „What do Hisoka, Illumi and Chrollo actually smell like?“ crosses my mind. The day night has finally come, so here is my headcanon…

❈ Hisoka Morow:

As for Hisoka, the answer was clear to me right from the start: „Lost Cherry“ by Tom Ford. It just has to be! And here is why: "Lost Cherry“ is a fruity-sweetish scent, but not a childish cheap one. In my opinion this perfume is best described as a boozy-almondy amaretto cherry. It is strong, sexy, bold, extremely seductive and intoxicating and therefore it can be even a bit annoying from time to time - just like our beloved jester. Even though „Lost Cherry“ is labeled by the brand as unisex, I find it quite feminine, but I´m sure, Hisoka wouldn´t mind. The fragrance is very unique and I´ve actually never smelled it on anybody else before … and it´s expensive… something tells me, that Hisoka would never smell like something mainstream and will always go with some kind of niche fragrance. Also I´m pretty sure that this man has quite an expensive taste. Tom Ford itself is a bold and luxury brand which also suits him very well. Not to forget that "Lost Cherry" means something on the lines of "lost innocence/virginity" which makes this fragrance a match made in heaven for a horny clown person.

❈ Chrollo Lucilfer:

Chrollo may have a fable for the gloomy and occult and we all know that he can be extremely cruel, but when it comes to the troupe members there´s no doubt regarding his loyalty. Therefore I can sense some kind of warmth that he carries deep down in his dark soul. For him I would suggest „Herod“ by Parfums de Marly. A woody, slightly sweetish and spicy scent with some smokey chords which make it cozy, sexy and mysterious alike. But buckle up, Ladys and Gentlement, just like „Lost Cherry“, this fragrance is a panty-dropper. Thats for sure!

❈ Illumi Zoldyck:

Illumi keeps me guessing tbh. I can imagine two completely different scents for him. Either, I see him wearing a very very heavy, somber and classic fragrance, such as Memoir Man by Amouage or - since he's an assassin and frequently needs to stay unnoticed on his missions - he would prefer a much more lighter, barely perceptible and synthetic scent, perhaps with a clean and even slightly medicinal note. In this case, I immediately had to think of all kinds of molecule-fragrances, since they are somehow present but not at all tangible. With such a scent, Illumi would be able to sneak up not only against the wind, but also with it. Therefore I would suggest a woody-synthetic-molecule for him, just like ISO-E-Super or Ambroxan.

Aurelian:

Aurelian's heart raced as he held MC's limp body in his arms, the warmth of their blood seeping into his clothes.

He was in shock, screaming for MC and trying to push on the wound to stop the bleeding.

"No, no, no, this is NOT happening! MC! Talk to me!"

He felt like the world was moving too fast, with thoughts and emotions flowing through his mind.

MC's breath came in ragged gasps. "Aurelian," their voice barely a whisper, and Aurelian leaned in closer to hear them. "Thank you..."

Aurelian felt a lump in his throat as he looked at MC's fading eyes. He couldn't help the tears that streamed down his face.

"Don't speak," he whispered, his voice breaking. "You're going to be okay. I won't let you die." But even as he said those words, Aurelian knew they were a lie.

He tried to heal them, but MC's injuries were too severe, and there was nothing he could do to save them.

"Please don't leave me," he begged, his voice quivering in desperation. "I need you, MC. Please come back to me. I can't live without you."

MC's eyes closed for the final time.

Elara:

Elara always knew that this world was dangerous and that great risks lurked in the shadows. But she had never imagined that one day, she would be holding the almost lifeless body of MC.

Tears streamed down Elara's face as she cradled MC in her arms. "Why did you take this mission?" she whispered, her voice filled with anguish. "You knew the risks."

"I wish you had listened to me. I wish I could have protected you better," she continued, her voice cracking with emotion.

MC's eyes fluttered open, their gaze cloudy and unfocused. "Elara," they said weakly, blood flowing out of their mouth. "Don't blame yourself. This was my choice."

"No! It wasn't supposed to end like this. You were supposed to come back with me," she cried, her voice raw and broken.

MC's hand weakly reached up, touching Elara's cheek. "I'm sorry," they whispered.

Elara clutched MC's hand, her tears falling onto their skin. "Don't leave me," she pleaded. "Please, don't go. I love you."

MC smiled weakly, their eyes closing for the final time. Elara held them close, her heart shattering into a million pieces.

Kazuo:

Kazuo lay there as MC was dying in his arms, the blood on his hands and the tears streaming down his face a testament to the pain he felt.

"MC, please, please, it's going to be okay. You're going to be okay," he whispered, his body shaking uncontrollably.

MC's eyes were closed, and their breathing was shallow. Kazuo could feel their life slipping away, and he didn't know how to stop it.

He wanted to make it stop. He wanted the blood to stop flowing. He wanted everything to just stop.

"I'm sorry," MC managed to say between coughs. "I couldn't... protect you."

Kazuo's heart ached at those words. "What do you mean?! You saved me! You saved my life! And now I can't even save yours..." His voice broke and shook from pain.

MC's hand weakly reached up to hold his hand. "I'm glad... I'm..." Their breath grew even more labored, and their hand fell back to their side.

"No, no, no," he cried out. "Don't... don't. Please, speak to me."

But it was too late. MC's breathing stopped, and their hand went limp in Kazuo's grasp.

He let out a scream of agony.

He held MC's lifeless body tightly, not wanting to let go. "I love you," he whispered into MC's ear.

“I’ll always love you.”

Aiden/Ava:

A rushed over to MC and held them in their arms, their heart racing with fear. "Why did this happen? No, everything is going to be okay," A shakily rambled as they tried to stop the bleeding.

Soft, shallow breathing came from MC. They were fading fast. A was trembling with shock and denial. The wound was too severe, they had lost too much blood. They didn't know what to do.

Breaking them from their shock, a bloody hand was on their cheek. MC smiled weakly, their eyes filled with love and tears. "Thank you... for everything."

Tears streamed down A's face non-stop. They tried to speak, but their mouth was dry.

"You can't leave me. I love you. I love you so much," they managed to say.

But it was too late. MC's pulse stopped, and their hand went limp.

A's heart felt like it was being ripped out of their chest. They had never felt this much pain and emptiness.

"Why did you have to die?" A questioned, tears falling onto MC's skin.

They held MC's body tightly, feeling like they were holding onto the only thing left in the world that mattered.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you. I'm sorry that I couldn't save you... I’m so sorry."

I decided while making this that I really like the idea of Renfield being casually familiar with a bunch of ancient/long dead languages? Like, I don’t think he’d actually be able to speak Middle Egyptian or anything like it, but I think he’d be able to recognize the hieroglyphs and maybe a few specific words or symbols or pieces of iconography. Maybe he’d use the glyphs as part of some sort of cipher, and that’s part of why Seward has a hard time understanding his diary when he steals it from him.

I know they're called "rarepairs" for a reason, but it won't stop me from wanting more of them. They're fun, and open your imagination to different dynamics, platonic or romantic. You ever heard of SecBlue? I just found out about it yesterday. I may not ship it but it's not about that. It's for enrichment. or whatever.

Oh you already know. I'm writing a whole fic about it. Red's possession and how it would affect him was what brought me into the fandom in the first place.

Granted, depending on how you read Red's reaction to seeing Herobrine in episode 27 (whether or not they remembered him), the scenarios may be different, but both have good angst potential. I, for one, believe that Red didn't recognize Herobrine, and didn't know he was possessed in episode 0, which would lead him to believe the incident was his fault. Removed was written with the thought that Red did know they weren't in control, and now they're worried Hero will come back and do something bad (and he did).

I definitely stole this from somebody on discord, but Dark still has that little bit of code in him that wants to kill Chosen, so when they were buddies it was a struggle sometimes, dealing with the voice in his head telling him to kill his friend. If they're still alive by now, I'm certain they resent letting their anger get the better of them, but they're still glad they didn't succeed in defeating Chosen.

i’ve been thinking about her cause i’ve seen that head canon post and stuff, and then that other post on whether or not dark’s removed that line of code. like, if it’d been her own free will that she did everything in ava 5. like just. man.

plus, even if she did remove that line of code, i don't think it'd just be over there, y'know? like. dark showed up with a personality and everything once alan made her. suddenly having a innate need fulfilled doesn't make the behaviors for seeking that go away. from my own experience, it can make it feel worse for some time ("my needs are fulfilled, why can't i feel satisfied with it?")

that actually makes a notable argument for why ava 5 might've happened, because if dark did remove said code but still felt that destructive urge, she'd no longer want to destroy chosen (because having removed that code in the first place implies that she didn't want to either) but would instead have to find some other outlet for it. when the line was deleted would change exactly how i interpret the flashbacks in 5, but overall it seems to make sense.

maybe missions can break when a stick goes beyond that mission, like some sort of cutie mark shit or something. i think it's certainly a point that could be seen, though i'm not sure how to word it more seriously atm. it would also make sense, considering if dark's mission was to destroy the chosen one, she likely had plenty of opportunity to do so in their travels throughout the internet.

chosen represses shit! like, whether it's out of a sense of duty or just… because, we actively see chosen ignoring their trauma at the hands of alan to go after the virabot.[1]

we also know that chosen was upset with dark after having come back from ALANSPC (whether that was anger or sense of duty or something is something i haven't decided on yet) because they punch her across the bay. but the thing about all of it is that chosen seemed to legitimately believe that just saying "don't do that" would stop dark from… destroying the internet or whatever she was trying to do. which implies that that's worked before.

they just. seem to have (had?) some close relationship. or maybe i'm just over-reading it. idc. i think they have a close relationship and i think that showdown completely obliterated it (if dark is still alive). i hope she is, because she's my little meow meow but like also there is a lot of angst in her. not being.

also this has nothing to do with angst but while i was rewatching AVA 5 to verify my ideas and i think it's very important that

orange

i’ve gotta write about it more or something but i like to think that there’s a cultural gap between orange and the fighting sticks, and/or purple and king. there’s ALSO this gap between orange and alan because. one is a stick figure and the other is a real human being.

i do believe that it’s part of why orange is so attached to the fighting sticks, not to mention that orange doesn’t know that many others. like, 4 (5 including alan?) close friends is not unusual, or uncommon (or a small number), but to only ever see 4 others is a very small amount of people to be social with if sticks have similar social needs as humans.

so there’s that, and then that orange and the other sticks we see seem to operate very differently. like, being a hollow head at all comes with different physiology.[2][3]

it just makes sense to me that there is that feeling, that they have trouble relating to other sticks AND to alan.

plus, that separation anxiety that orange has. oh man. that terror that their friends will be hurt if they’re not there for them. orange has always been like that, like the “you ended my friends. now i will end you.” or the first nether arc, or ava 5, or parkour. can you imagine the way orange felt when they watched the nether portal disappear in episode 25?

not to mention that orange takes on all this responsibility for their friends, like, electing NOT to go through the other nether portals in season 1, and they probably feel to blame for showdown too! they externalize the blame[4] but while also taking responsibility, like, bad things happen to orange's friends and it's their fault for not going with them but it's ALSO their fault for having gone those places at all. y'know?

world building

good lord i can not contain myself about this. i have a lot of ideas and implications that i've picked up from watching this series like, probably 3 times total with some episodes (V, 22, 25, 29, 30) receiving… a few more rewatches than that.[5]

like… "how" things come to life definitely seems to be kinda… in proximity to the color gang (and then, by extension, alan). it ALSO doesn't seem to be uncommon for things to just. come to life.[6][7][8] i haven't particularly decided on some exact way of how things become alive but i definitely have a soft spot for it being toy story-like.

a lot of the apparent differences between sticks and humans is kinda… frustrating? to me because the reasoning behind it seems inconsistent at times. i also haven't fully fleshed out my ideas to make up for that disconnect and i'm a bit reluctant to like i said because i worry about it being completely bulldozed by future information.

i've said it before and i'll say it another hundred times but how human the stick city sticks are compared to sticks who are on desktops keeps me up at night. like they have festivals and concerts and money. (and also a legal system, because we see king sign a waiver). i suppose the legal system would likely emerge without the festivals and all that because social contracts are generally useful for large groups of people.

in more… solid answers i think there's a great deal of metaphors centered around the fact that they are made of code and (often) drawn. for example, in one of my fics, i use "draws on their emotions" as a saying intended to be similar to "wearing your heart on your sleeve." i'm still skeptical of the sticks having clothes in like… a very "i am taking it literally (autism)" kind of way, since unlike many stick figures in say, hyun's dojo, the sticks in ava/m are literally stick figures. i suppose my art only partially reflects that but it seems just a little too silly for me to paint the sticks being wire thin with my style.

but i'm digressing. the point i was making is that i don't want to talk about sleeves and hearts that might not exist at all for stick figures and so by extension i came to the idea that "drawing" and similar metaphors often mean that someone is being especially clear or obvious. i'm sure that i'll discover more figures of speech to use in the future, since wordplay is something i love very dearly.

absolutely! immediately, baby blue by edwardina comes to mind-- i have no interest in infantilizing sam or in ageplay, but the fic uses those kinks to look at sam and dean's relationship, dean's caretaking, sam's deep and abiding love for dean... all that fun stuff. there's enough humiliation on sam's side that i can buy it-- i can't see him organically enjoying that kind of thing, but his sexual development was so tied up in dean that dean's presence makes it happen. that's my kind of spice ✨ this line, early on, is another reason i like it:

Sam glanced over his big ol' shoulder. He was over in the creepy corner cupboard, more interested in seeing what kind of witchy paraphernalia he could skim from its innards than in cussing out the corpse on the floor.

any fic that begins with baby-stealing witches, dead bodies, and sam's big-ass shoulders gets a 👍 from me, even though i never would have clicked on it without a rec. proof that going outside your comfort zone is worth it!

What’re your favorite kh ships?

If I'm being honest... I really only true ship SoKai these days (my forever OTP). Mainly because I feel like that's the only one I can really ever see actually being canon (well, aside from Yozora and Nameless Star, and I also ship them: a lot of that for Versus XIII reasons. My heart won't let go). And, I mean, not that a ship needs to be canon for me to ship them. Not at all. But I'll admit that I've grown out of some of the KH ships a wee bit, as I've found more adult ones in other fandoms to get invested one.

A lot of people ship Ven and Strelitzia for some reason. And I doubt it'll ever happen, tbh. Who knows if they'll ever even really get a chance to meet and be friends. But I do get why they think it'd be cute.

And while I don't know if I truly ship them anymore, a part of me will always have a soft spot for Ventus and Naminé. Because for some reason, I really used to ship this crack pairing, back in the day.

I also don't really know if I ship them... but despite what I said above, I do get the feeling that Nomura might be doing something with Lauriam/Marluxia and Elrena/Larxene.

honestly just complimenting him in general always surprises and flusters him. Louis has a certain tone of voice he uses on Pyrs to fluster the hell out of him. Flirtatious touches during a conversation really get him too.

Pyrs tries to "do everything right," he tries to "follow the rulebook" so to speak. He courted Louis by nervously asking him out a few times, after the, "right amount of dates," he and Louis kissed for the first time. (Mandatory mention that Louis thought he was so fucking adorable the entire time he acted like this.)

He didnt keep that attitude up for too long. He settled into the natural patterns he found with Louis after only a few months but the first 4 were like that. Pyrs nervously following The Correct Dating Protocol.

Literally ANY genuine and unique compliment. If you notice a little thing he does, that no one ever notices, and you compliment him on it. He will System_Error. He WILL 404_Maelgwyn_Not_Found. Maelgwyn.EXE has stopped responding. etc, etc.

It just surprises him so much and it aims DIRECTLY for his heart and soul, you will kill him if you do this.

As for a more sexual way to fluster him, turn the tables. Take control or be dominant with him and he will become submissive so fast and get SO flustered. (IF youre already in a relationship with him or he trusts you. Hook-Ups cannot usually use this tactic on him.)

💐 : What is their courting style? How would they woo someone?

He invites people out to bars or his VIP room in a local drug smoking den outside of amnoon. He basically treats most relationships the same as he treats his hook-ups. He ends up in relationships by accident, IF, you can get past his feral cat "emotions are scary" phase.

He's more tender and kind with people he wants to have a relationship with. He gets them gifts he thinks they would genuinely like.

It was late. So late in spring that summer was beginning to bully the more temperate season into submission, and it was so late into the afternoon that the trees were tucking the sun deep into their embrace. It was the kind of late where haziness predominated. Slow, quietly rumbling, warm kind of haziness.

Tina felt warm and slow as well at the moment -- hazy. A sense of easing comfort caused by a walk after a filling dinner and the quiet rumble of chatter of friends, both new and old.

It was probably why Tina felt a little disoriented when Kendis' voice jolted from behind her and cut through her staring into the warmth of Nat's panty melting brown eyes.

"Pants." Kendis stated - rather, ordered - suddenly.

Disoriented, but not startled. Tina, after all, was used to Kendis' sing songy voiced guilloting a moment. What did startle her was Felix's hand eagerly stopping her short to draw attention to a scene happening behind them.

Tina would've tripped if not for his quick reflexes. That didn't stop her from glaring, "What?"

"Watch this!", He insisted ... cleary unbothered by the might of said glare.

Following Felix's bright gaze, Tina's landed on the slurlier, quieter agents of Unit Bravo in a hushed conversation. However, surprising part wasn't Mason muttering more than two words at a time -- instead the shock lied in how Kendis' impatiently, affectionately, smacked the back of her hand against Ava's beefy arm and ordered, "No. Other pocket." And Ava followed without flinching.

The way the typically off-putting, cold - but so hot - Commander slid her hands from one pocket in her cargo pants to the other was almost Pavlonian. She didn't even pause her conversation with Mason, either!

At the distance, it was hard to see what she handed over to Kendis. But it was definitely enough to cause Kendis' entire face to brighten --- and that caused the already fond smirk that had lifted Mason's typically bored expression to spread ... slightly.

"What do you say, Detective?" Ava teased.

Tina's heart didn't think she could take much more of this [and Felix's chuckle made it obvious that he could tell].

"Mine!" Kendis chirpped. Tina huffed, because as strange as that entire exchange might have been at least some things would aways stay the same.

58) Who’s more likely to hold a grudge after an argument?

Kendis. Kendis all day and everyday. I don't care what the game stat says. It is Kendis in the morning, Kendis in the night. Kendis in the storms and Kendis in the light. Because, see -- Kendis is not only STUBBORN, Kendis PETTY. Kendis would literally cut off their nose to spite their face. And I mean actually knife carving face literally. Kendis would rather die than say die.

THAT SAID, it really depends on a few things. 1) They type of argument 2) How Ava handles it 3) Anything that happened to Kendis before hand that might damper/uplift mood or mindset.
