Posie Parker came to Belfast today with a bunch of tourists from Britain to incite hatred against the trans community.  Women’s orgs, LGBT orgs and trade unions in Northern Ireland came together to invite Posie and her mates to fuck off.

The Basalt Columns of the Giants Causeway

Good times with my wife along the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland.

We spent a few weeks in her homeland late last year and had a chance to explore all over the country. If you ever get the chance to visit, do so and treat yourself. You won't regret it.

Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis over Ireland

May 2024 saw some of the finest displays of the aurora borealis or Northern Lights over Ireland and lower latitudes ever witnessed.

After a long and busy day photographing in Dublin, word was coming in from all sources of an amazing light show and even in the city I could see and photograph the stronger portions of the celestial display.

But it wasn't until I headed far from the city, into the Irish countryside that I was able to truly enjoy and photograph the unpredictable lightshow.

Still I didn't manage to make to some of my favourite locations over on the west coast of Ireland where the night sky is darker, thus more suited to astrophotography and night sky events.

Shamrocks for Palestine Ireland marches once again in solidarity with Palestine. As Irish politicians from the largest political parties travel to the White House to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Joe Biden, protesters from across Northern Ireland gathered to march to the US Consulate in Belfast, calling for a White House boycott and an immediate ceasefire. When a Councillor from Sinn Féin took the stage she was subjected to intense booing from the crowd throughout her speech for the party's decision to go to the White House with the right wing political parties.
