Okay but an EPIC: The Musical AU where Odysseus brings Astyanax along instead of killing him, and Polites immediately decides to be the fun uncle for this baby. B U T during the whole Cyclops thing, instead of dying, Polites just gets really injured, so Odysseus carries him back to the ship and tries to tend his injuries. (Astyanax is safely with a few other members of the crew, don’t worry). Polites is still hurt too badly to survive for long, so Odysseus begs the gods for help, and Hermes shows up with something (a potion/elixir/whatever you wanna call it) that’ll heal Polites.

It doesn’t immediately make Polites better (I’m a sucker for hurt/comfort, don’t come at me), but he survives and heals, and he and Astyanax are both fine until the events of Thunder Bringer. Except instead of dying with the crew, they both wash up on Calypso’s island with Ody. Calypso finds them after finding Odysseus, but before he wakes up, she turns them into something (idk what, probably plants or something, this idea is just a concept rn).

So events go as they do in canon, but when Calypso has to let Odysseus leave, she’s also forced to free Polites and Astyanax too, so they get turned back to normal and get to leave with Odysseus, who is honestly just BAFFLED by the fact that his best friend and adopted son are still alive, but he’s also so freaking happy to have them back after seven years of torment. (Astyanax is probably like ten now even tho he spent seven years as a plant or something, but idk maybe he’s still a toddler. Haven’t decided)

They get home to Ithaca, Odysseus, Polites, and Telemachus kill the suitors, Ody reunites with Penelope and introduces her to Astyanax who she adopts immediately, and Telemachus and Astyanax get to hang out with their parents and Uncle Polites. Also Ody gets to sleep because that man needs it

just… Goro Miyazaki starting his animation career with having a son kill his father, the king of a kingdom where magic is disappearing, and run away and Hayao (possibly ending) his career with a young boy refusing to take on his family’s powerful legacy over a magical world, knowing the world would die without him in favor of not abandoning his family and choosing to live contentedly in the mundane world…

Charlastor Week - Day 3 - The Deal/Chains

At the top of my wishlist for Hazbin Hotel’s story is Charlie breaking Alastor’s contract with whoever owns his soul. I would love for there to be an angsty betrayal from Alastor, and in the fallout of that, Charlie still comes through for him. As a result, he’s totally bludgeoned by his own feelings and the fact that she still cares about him even after everything he’s done.

That’s unconditional love, baybeee. 😘

Anyway, not-so-friendly reminder that nihilism/doomerism/accelerationism is a conspiracy theory meant to keep people complacent and docile in the event of an authoritarian regime, and the online Left really needs to start shunning these groups with the same vehemence that we shun radfem/terf groups.

The biggest threat to systemic evil is hope, and this nonsense “the world will never get better, so why bother trying to make it better” ideology literally exists to serve those systems. The doomerism movement is pro-capitalist, pro-fascist, pro-authoritarianism, etc. because they accept these systems as inherent to the nature of humanity, unable to be changed… which is exactly what the fascists running the system want. After all, why resist the rise of evil if evil is always inevitable? Why fight to make the world a better place if the world is just going to end soon anyway? Why not just stand aside and let the authoritarians do their thing? It doesn’t even matter anyway, right?

The point is, the Left is far too tolerant of doomerism, and it’s driving me insane.

Thinking about 5'3!Logan borrowing one of Wade's shirts as a substitute for pyjamas after he had moved in with him as he had no other clothes yet.

Logan came out of Wade's room after having rummage through his closet. The shirt he had chosen to wear was definitely too long for him, as were all of Wade's shirts. It reached to the middle of his thighs, it'll have to do for the night.

He felt a pair of eyes burning holes into him as he entered the kitchen.

He turned his gaze to meet Wade's heart-eyed one.

"Looking good, Wolvie," said Wade, pretending to curl his finger around a non-existent lock of hair.

"Shut up," grumbled Logan. He opened the fridge, hoping to find a beer.

Wade ignored him. "You know, there's enough room for two in my bed," he said, "the couch isn't that comfortable and I wouldn't mind having a hot shorty like you in my-"

"Utter one more word and I'll stab you," rasped out Logan, unsheating his claws to drive his threat home.

Wade threw his hands up in faux surrender. "Alright, Wolvie. The invitation is still here if you chose to change your mind, though."

Logan quickly found the beer he was looking for and closed the fridge. He exited the kitchen and made his way into the the living room, grumbling to himself how bad of an idea it was to have had accepted Wade's offer to move in with him.

He sat onto the couch. The poor piece of furniture creaked loudly, threatening to give in under his heavy weight. Logan exhaled through his nose, ignoring how uncomfortable the couch indeed was. He opened his beer and took a big sip, enjoying the cold beverage. Mary Poppins was quick to join him. Logan indulged her with a few scratches behind one of her ears.

He turned on the TV and settled for whatever show was on, not paying much attention to what was actually going on. He took another sip of his beer, Wade's invition to share a bed still scratching the back of his mind. He could feel the tips of his ears turning red as several images of he and Wade sharing a bed popped up into his mind. He shook his head, clearing his mind.

No.

Logan decided that he will be going out tomorrow and actually buying new clothes for himself. As he took a third sip of his beverage, Logan thought of Wade inviting himself to his errands; barging into the changing room and talking on and on and on and on about his bad fashion choices.

He'll definitely be sneaking his way out.

Just so we're clear, Charles left his entire family and estate to his arch nemesis-lover. Instead of the Scott, who was prepared to be leader.

And then the following happened:

Ororo lost her power because Magneto wanted them to go to the UN. She then left

Scott and Madeline’s baby got green shit on him and had to be sent to the future

Bishop left because of above

Gambit got third-wheeled ("they on patrol")

Bunch of mutants on Genosha die

Magneto “died”

Gambit died

And all while Charles was just getting a boo

Like, what did Charles think would happen?
