#OC: Mack

im sooo curious about mack can you tell more about her character and the setting/context.. she's a stupid dumb idiot!! (affectionate)

I can tell you some, not much because that would be spoilers (that would also not exist because I make a lot of stuff as I go). So some stuff about the stupid dumb idiot:

She's half-Spirit, a human/incubus hybrid for whump and for smut reasons;

I don't know how obvious it is that Mack & Violet are the same person, I just really like the living weapon who's dehumanized to the point she kinda has two personalities trope;

The story has three "eras". I'll be more detailed about it when I make the series masterlist;

General context is: the Elders of the coven tested toddlers' magical potential and Mack's was off the charts. So her stepmother made a deal with her dad and got the rights to train Mack. Adults pretend they don't know the "coven's weapon" is just a kid/teenager trained to be a killing machine. Terrible whumpy life happens blah blah blah. After she leaves the coven, she's found injured by Jace. He goes "injured baby, she's my baby now". Jace brings her into the agency thingy he works at, she accepts to be basically an unofficial agent to help her control the more violent urges. Still whumpy life but now with comfort and parental figures act like parents. Third era is more of a "caretaker Mack" and the one I currently have the least knowledge about;

It takes place in your regular "normal world but paranormal shit and magic happens", I suck at worldbuilding;

There'll be more explicit whump coming on, reminder she's half sex demon (kinda), but it'll have all the warnings. This is not a character who manages to escape the dead dove corner;

In the third era, she's eventually in a romantic relationship and has a lot of doubts about it. Just constantly wondering if she's being accidentally abusive;

Definitely in the "hall of characters that have PTSD and other disorders and how the fuck are you minimally functional?";

Also in the "hall of characters that are actually pretty complex if you think about it but I talk about them as if they're just a wet cat who needs someone to pick them up from the cat distribution system".

A bonus fact: she's a variation of an older OC. I still have two whumpees with the "living weapon backstory" but made Mack have it a little worse.

thinking about my oc's that ive had since 2018/2019 ish and about the little story idea that my mind came up with and has since then evolved in a story about losing the most important person in the world and trying to continue living. and about losing your old home and realizing you won't be able to get it back and having to make a new one but the people around you will help you, they will wait until you are ready. and about finding yourself in the stars or in a thunder storm. and about finding a sense of belonging while staring at your best friend for what seems like an eternity. and about realizing that maybe life is gonna be OK. you're just a teenager and it will get better eventually. the hurt might not disappear completely but it will ease in time. and maybe these aren't your stars and maybe you can't get your sister back but you're alive and you're here and that's all you can do right now and that's OK too

he's been around since 2020 when i started digging in and plotting out my project i call the "sequel fic". i have returned to rework this story in 2024.

roger is the team 95's new crew chief, handpicked by tex dinoco's staff. all he has to do is mesh superstar lightning mcqueen with his new crew and win the piston cup... easier said than done! good luck, and dont get fired, idiot!

he is a 2012 ford f250 LWB supercab. lifted, custom black rims+tires, clearance lights, toolbox, wears bed cap in the cold. 35ish, father of four, married, previous crew chief experience in smaller leagues.

Close ups + Full Ya'll I love this so much dshbfredahbrefd, I'm really proud of it he he Have some Bandit Max lore to go along with it-

He steals for his sick and injured little sister Riddylon/Riddy. Its just them, both orphaned at a young age, and since Max is older he feels like he should take all the responsibility for them. Riddy helps around the place too, although in pain and going against Max's wishes of her staying put. She doesn't like feeling useless all the time. How he acts when he's in Bandit mode is very different to how he is normally. When he's Max or Klint (his fake name he tells people), He's collective, nice, caring, optimistic and looks really tired all the time while as Bandit Max, He's moody, impatient, apathetic and looks so done with everything. Along with being focused on the task at hand, he doesn't really care who dies or what happens during a heist as long as he gets what he needs for him and his sister.
