this is just me screaming but absolutely are these in my favorite korra episodes

honorable mention - “remembrances” the clip show. not that bad all things considering and gives us that much needed and very deliberate korrasami moment

10 - i have to watch them again but the calling, when the airbender kids are shown to be trusted to be on their own and their own characters and the rescuing of korra who feels ready to go back to the avatar role, and beyond the wilds as showing korra reconnect with raava and be willing to to crack open her most vulnerable self to do so

9 - The Sting- i honestly want to rate this higher because ASAMI IN A SPEED BOAT CHASE SCENE IS MY SEXUALITY and this episode is a bit messy with how much is going on but i love it it has so much needed story with asami bolin and mako 

8 - The Aftermath - still one of the most important moments in the whole series with Asami deciding to reject her father and be willing to go full ham for the just cause with ragtag street pals she just met ALSO POOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL SCENEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE AND CARRRRRRRRRRRR RACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SCENEEEEEEEEEEE (THERE IS A FULL MOCK UP OF SWIMSUIT ASAMI IN THE FUCKIN ARTBOOK I BLACKED OUT WHEN I BOUGHT THE BOOK AND SAW THAT)

7 (you know what the numbers don’t matter that much) - A Leaf in the Wind - this is just such cute book 1 fun. this is one of the only episodes you could argue feels like the direct continuation of ATLA’s fun/filler. also like i dont hate makorra like i think we can all agree the cheesy-ass end to this episode is cute and bolin is cute and cute stuff. 

6 - The Spirit of Competition - BOLIN IN THE DEEEEPPP and old fandom times and i fuckin love this episode to death still i loved it so much i wrote my first korra fanfic as like a midquel in this episode

5 - Korra Alone - its hard to see Korra struggle through this but it makes it that much more rewarding when we see start putting herself together again and i think we’ve all heard how important this episode is

4 - The Terror Within - the precursor to stakeout. fantastic action with korra almost being kidnapped and the dramatic battle with the red lotus. the building tension about something awry in zaofu and the exciting, thriller-like reveal. also i think this is the episode where korra does that cocky little show off thing when metalbending? AND PAJAMA TIME ASAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

3 - Long Live the Queen - AIRSHIP KORRASAMI. AIRSHIP KORRASAMI. also mako and bolin steal an airship and fly their whole family to republic city
