Soooo ....I bought ELDEN RING!

And ...I'm a Fromsoft Rookie, so any sort of advice on builds, how to level, tips and tricks, ...would be appreciated. I'm planning on re-watching Jacksepticeye's playthrough of ELDEN RING again as well, so I can get some pointers from the Master ...or rather, the One True Irish Elden Lord, OTIEL.

What type of build would be fun for a rookie first-timer such as myself?

I'll also take bets on how long it'll take before I completely lose my sanity playing this.

Demioutherine

Having a gender identity that is partially a given outherine, atrinary anthrogender and partially another gender or genders.

Etymology

From Latin, “dimidius“ to “demi-”, meaning “half” +“Outherine”, of unclear etymological origin, coined by user Otiel in 2019. Demioutherine coined by Gent (Gender-Jargon), 2021.

Flag

The Demioutherine flag is a combination of the typical grey/white Demigender flag and the Outherine flag made by user IMOGA-pride. The flag consists of fourteen horizontal, solid-colored stripes, with the innermost eight stripes being 1/4th the size of the outer stripes. From top to bottom, the stripes a re dark grey, light grey, white, grey-plum, teal, green, yellow, light brown, orange, red, burgundy, white, light grey and dark grey. Flag by Gent (Gender-Jargon), 2021.

Between Lesh and Dead: Grateful Contrasts in Revisiting the Catalog

On June 12, while Phil Lesh was playing with his Friends at one of the Grateful Dead's old haunts in New York, his Dead brothers were working with the Company in an Indiana shed where the latter-day band had some of its finest moments.

Single-song examples from each show - Phil Lesh and Friends featuring Jorma Kaukonen on "Dancing in the Street" (here) at the Capitol Theatre and Dead & Company's rendition of "Fire on the Mountain" at the former Deer Creek (above) - illustrate the differing approaches taken by Lesh on one hand, and Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann on the other.

With little regard to the way either the Pigpen- or Godchaux-era versions of the Dead played it, Lesh and company do "Dancing" their own way, close to neither Martha and the Vandellas' Motown sound nor the Dead's disco rendition. With Kaukonen playing grimy leads and Dark Star Orchestra's Rob Barraco singing, this unique band plays the song in a way that will likely have nothing to do with the way the next incarnation of Friends might do it.

And that's what makes Lesh's after-Dead life so much fun.

For their part, Weir, Hart, Kreutzman and their friends are, as the song says, Dead to the core. Guitarist John Mayer mimics Jerry Garcia's effects-laden solos; bassist Otiel Burbridge plays more like Lesh used to than Lesh does on the aforementioned "Dancing" and utilized Garcia's phrasing on vocals; and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti sounds much like his Grateful predecessors as he adds color and utilizes Brent Mydland's old B3 among his array of instruments. And if for some reason, Weir and company get another group of players to join them in some other band down the road, it's quite likely "Fire" will sound much as it did last night.

And that's what makes their after-Dead life so much fun.

Vive la différence and savor what's left of the long, strange trip for as long as it might continue. Because you know what they say - nothing lasts.

My new baby !

My partner is making a dnd oneshot and me, and a select few of our friends, had to whip up a new character STAT for our new 8th level characters.

For Imrae, I soon found I was making a rogue without the rogue lmao- so while making her, I had the personal task of seeing how much of a rogue stereotype she’d end up as I make a blood hunter. I’d say I did pretty well lmao
