Charley Miller (left), a famous Maine guide and his pal, Joe Pialates, sit by the fire in their camp in Central Park and wait for their savory Maine dinner to cook, March 2, 1923. Both came to New York to attend the National Sportsmen's show which was held the following week. Before this, Miller trekked from Bangor, ME, to Boston, MA, on snow shoes, a distance of 225 miles.
