long story short I saw a cool bag on pinterest while I was looking for crochet patterns but there was no fucking pattern but one of my friends found a pattern for a similar but not quite bag so I watched an hour long video, transcribed it into text, and am now gonna make a wholeass backpack just because Sunflower Vibe

Raph Is A Great Strategist

Numerous times in the show Raph has shown to have a preference for straightforwardly punching his problems away rather than think up a more complex solution. Like how his immediate fix to getting Mayhem out of the mirror in Mystic Library was to punch everything in the bathroom but the mirror. However, when Raph understands the situation requires more in depth strategy, he’s shown to be an incredibly capable tactician.

In nearly all the plot heavy episodes like Shadow of Evil, Many Unhappy Returns, and the season finales, Raph gets moments where he’s highlighted for his strategic thinking. In Insane in the Mama Train, he’s the one who figures out which eyeball-button goes to the front car with the dark armor, because “‘it was the only button [the Foot Clan] didn’t want me to press!’” [21:05]. He’s also the one who came up with the scheme to defeat all the (known) combatants in the train, with Leo specifically attributing Raph as the deviser during their mind meld [19:46]. In Many Unhappy Returns, after spending a single night waylaying the Shredder, Raph formulated a plan using all the tricks the team learned, seamlessly transitioning the mystic collar Leo acquired into it [19:53], to defeating the Shredder. Additionally, he’s repeatedly called for a retreat during fights, like in Shadow of Evil, Shreddy or Not (Finale pt 2), and the movie, when he can tactically recognize that a battle couldn’t be won. Each time, the show/movie implied that that was the right call, for the family to lose the fight but win the war.

And it’s not just that Raph is good at strategy when he’s pushed to be more serious; the show characterizes him as passionate about creating plans, he enjoys doing it. Literally in the first episode, Mystic Mayhem, after the turtles’ initial plan failed of getting Splinter out of the living room to touch his Do-Not-Touch Cabinet, Raph immediately started devising a new plan that involved “ten chickens [and] a gallon of rubber cement” [9:35]. It was convoluted, sure, and they didn’t end up using it, but it was inventive and the opposite of reluctant. This is also shown in Bug Busters, where Raph planned out dousing Mikey in honey to attract the oozequitoes [2:52]; Snow Day, with the idea to freeze Ghost Bear like in Jupiter Jim Pluto Vacation 4; and Raph’s Ride-Along (and also Bad Hair Day), where Mind Raph created multiple schemes to get the criminals arrested. The show wouldn’t have made Raph be so creative with his plans if they were trying to characterize him as someone who didn’t like strategizing.

So does why Raph do stupid shit sometimes where he doesn’t think things through at all? Well, even though Raph is good at strategy and enjoys doing it, it’s clear his immediate impulse is still “punch the problem in the face”. In fact, all the turtle boys contain the fascinating dichotomy of being incredibly smart in some areas, and the dumbest teenagers alive in others. Just look at Donnie. It’s also how Raph is a loving protective older brother, and the guy who shoved Leo into a wall so hard he disappeared in one frame for shits and giggles (The Mutant Menace x). None of this means that Raph is bad at strategy though.

tldr: Yeah, Raph has a lot of dumb and, frankly, insane moments in the show, but he’s still an incredible tactician who’s plans consistently saved his family and sometimes the world. He's a great strategist.

i am so charmed by a lumax wedding because it’s not even something max thought would happen. like she assumed weddings were something the girl makes happen and the guy puts up with. and because she had no desire for one, so there’s no reason it would happen.

among other things weddings are an exorbitant and performative show of love, max loves lucas and she doesn’t care whether or not other people know or believe this. at it’s best marriage to her has been a representation of failed dreams and at it’s worst it’s been a tool to manipulate people who need to get away to stay. maybe they will get married for the tax benefits, she thinks.

this is until max and lucas are older and living together, they’re chilling on the couch and lucas mentions his family has been asking when he’s planning to propose and if that’s something max even wants? max doesn’t care, she doesn’t plan on going anywhere, a certificate won’t change anything and she's not crazy about parties. she doesn’t ask how he feels, he brings it up, that “actually i want a wedding.”

that is saying the least, lucas wants a wedding more than anything. he loves max and he doesn’t need to prove that to anyone, but he’s happy and he wants to share that with others! he wants to work with max to make marriage a positive thing to them, he wants to celebrate their love, everything they’ve been through. also, hell, he’s only human, he wants to show off! he wants to dress really cool and go to a really cool place and show the world know how awesome he and his girlfriend are. HIS WIFE!!!

most of all, lucas wants the moment near the end of the night, where the party’s getting loud and everybody wants his attention, but max asks if he wants to get out of there and he says yes. not out out, just outside the venue. it’s dark and the once booming music is now faint, they sit and catch up, complain about their families, laugh about their friends. max holds lucas’s hand and plays with his wedding ring, she whispers something sweet before asking him to dance. it’s the best part of the night and nobody will know about it but them.

suddenly max decides she wants a wedding.

Thinking on what made it click for me with this movie, it was always the simple scene of Mandy chasing Uglydog with the hairdryer. The interaction... the way they one-up each other so comfortably despite only knowing each other for a day... it just pulled out my heart! It made me love everything that all the characters and their universe could show me, only to find out that talk of a second movie and TV show fell to the wayside💔 And so my mission to draw all my thoughts for this silly movie began! I'm only at 25% in completing said mission, ouch. But I don't think anyone minds that :9 I'm drawing fanart for the long-run!

Cette année j’ai décidé de faire un bullet journal plus minimaliste. Je n’ai plus beaucoup de temps pour faire des pages très travaillées et plus l’envie non plus…

J’ai décidé également d’y mettre plus de souvenirs.

On commence l’année avec la page de garde (évidemment), mes objectifs et le calendrier de l’année.

Ayo, Beta-Readers Discord??

Idk if there's already something like this, but I had an idea.

What if we had a Beta-Readers Discord to better help find available beta-readers for our fanfics and stuff?

Some things I had in mind:

a mod chat room for mods (moderators) & having mods to help keep the server safe for everyone

A ticket channel for any sort of help needed relating to if someone is harassing someone or the like

The tag things to indicate pronouns, if you're a writer or a beta-reader or both, if you're available or not to beta-read, which fandoms you're in, if you're a minor or a major (only so people uncomfy with adults can see who's an adult and who's not; same thing for people uncomfy with kids n stuff), etc.

Different channels for each fandom to seek out Beta-Readers or look for writers who need some help

Channels just to gush about your fics or WIPs because a lot of us are nd and I want to have a space where people can infodump (sorted by fandom or misc. for crossover fics)

I'd encourage writers and beta-readers to dm each other to sort out their agreement details (like when they need it done by, if it's for an event, what they need help with, etc.)

Some channels to share/promote your fics for anyone interested (sorted by fandom and/or tags depending on the trigger/content warnings)

An ideas/prompts channel for each fandom and such to help people with ideas or plot

A beta-readers chat room so beta-readers who can't do it or have to abandon a project for whatever reason can find people to help instead (remember to keep the writers in the loop if ya need to tap out or if beta-readers need to change)

A general chat room so everyone can chill with each other :D

An introductions channel to help everyone meet each other (includes name/pseudo, pronouns, little intro things)

Music/song suggestions channel to help fellow writers with writing to music and stuff

A lil help channel for people who just have a small question and not exactly need a beta-reader, so they can get questions answered by fellow writers and beta-readers

A channel for those who manage the writing events so y'all have help organizing events or just to talk about them with fellow event planners of

Maybe some "study buddy" voice channels/text channels for body doubling (basically like parallel play or companionable silence but for writing and/or beta-reading, in this case)

A suggestions channel for any sort of server suggestions like channels that may help or something

And anything else y'all think would be helpful!

I'd own the server cause I'd make it, but I wanted to make something to help my fellow writers & beta-readers. If I ever actually do this, I'll also make a side blog for the discord's updates and stuff.

Let me know if there's already a server like this, or if y'all have anything else to add to this list!

Just a lil idea because of all the events coming up :D
