Pocahontas dumping John smith for John Rolfe is literally the Disney equivalent of Elizabeth Bennett dumping Mr.Darcy for Mr.Collins

I unironically like watching sequels without having watched the original first ("if i had a coin for every time this happened" look it's about what's available at the cinema when my folks have money for a family outing). Really forces one to consider the movie on its own merits (and whether it's coherent enough for those not in the know). But obviously, to judge its merits AS a sequel you must watch the first one. And I can absolutely see how that initial opinion might change.

Surely John Rolfe (Pocahontas II) does not appear in Disneystrology (Disney Wiki)
No, he doesn't. But this whole list is completely different from the Zodiac signs that Disneystrology assigns to each Prince. Obviously, different people have different headcanons about this subject.
As for John Rolfe, anything goes, because we don't know the real John Rolfe's date of birth, just like we don't know Pocahontas's date of birth. But it's interesting that while the real John Smith was definitely a Capricorn (he was baptized on January 6th, so he must have been born between December 30th and January 2nd), no one seems to think Disney's John Smith is a Capricorn. I guess Disney's Smith is just too different from the real man.

236th edit and combined the suitors in Halloween costumes for Chel, if by John Rolfe as a knight (I ship him with her) VS Marina as a pirate (shipped with Chel by @little-bloodied-angel ). Who will win the princess love?! And yes I had to make Chel very busty and thick peach for this edit because Princess Daphne surprisingly has a different body type.

A still to try out colour correcting for “the twins”. Based on a crossover video idea that I would love to make one day. About a pirate who infiltrates the royal castle in order to woo the princess, but things don't go according to plan.

I saw your recent addition to the Bi MEP and you used John R, and made me want to ask, even if he is dating Anastasia, is he your AU bi?
Not sure what you mean by "even if he is dating Anastasia"? That sounds like you think that DESPITE him dating Anastasia he's bisexual? But being bisexual means being attracted to more than one gender so him dating a woman doesn't make him less bisexual 😅
I know you didn't mean it that way, but as someone who's bisexual, I can't count how many times I was told: "Oh, you're bi? Even if you're dating a man?" Well, yeah, I can do that cause, you know, I'm attracted to men AS WELL 😂
Again, I know you didn't mean it that way, it just sounded a bit too close like something bisexual people hear a lot as a way to undermine our sexuality, even though that obviously wasn't your intention ❤️
But to answer your actual question, I suppose he is. Part of the reason is probably due to his reaction when he first sees Uti, which is also why I used that scene in the video 😂 I know the developers didn't intend that, but his reaction has always given a "How you doing?" vibe from me, like Joey from F.R.I.E.N.D.S 🤣

Looking back on it, both of Pocahontas' romances stand out from the typical Disney princess
Tumblr media Tumblr media
John Smith and Pocahontas are MUCH more passionate and intimate than the typical Disney couple (likely because Disney was going for a PG-13 vibe), while John Rolfe and Pocahontas was much sweeter, more of a slow burn, something shy and new--moreso than Beauty and the Beast, imo.
