jason: only buys stuff for himself, alfred, duke and cass. duke and cass get a max of two personal requests each, alfred gets everything he asks for (steph is allowed ONE request but only every other trip)

tim: asks the family group chat for requests and makes a list, orders from amazon fresh

cass: will accompany other people on grocery trips but doesn’t go on her own

steph: is over at the manor so much she practically lives there, always texts to request stuff from whoever is currently shopping

trying to find diplomatic but firm ways to articulate 'hey man this is really fucked up, please reconsider' about wan/derhome--or whether to make a post about it at all--because its creators seem like the types to approach it in good faith, but i have no idea how it would go over or if they'd even see it at all. but i finally decided to take a look at it after getting it in a charity bundle last year, and as a disabled mentally ill trauma survivor god that was incredibly hurtful and upsetting, holy shit. days later i'm still not super okay over it, let alone that it won awards and is considered a masterpiece in the medium

Size difference

my favorite part about meeting new people is when i inevitably get to tell them the story of this fucked up christian summer camp i was forced to go to where one of the nights they woke us up and made us go on this… scavenger hunt? except also they had hired people to chase us down and also i don’t even know what we were scavenging for because i was too busy army crawling under thorn bushes and swimming through a fucking river in the dead of night to get away from the christian hitmen to pay attention to the actual objective of the game

I just really don't trust man-hating as personality trait. Every time I see arguments that essentially paint women as victims and men as oppressors wholesale that shit ends up sounding exactly like the shit terfs spew outside their transphobia. Women as a group is just way too broad to put solely within a category of victims and doing so just ends up feeding into a divide rather than into any meaningful attempt at progress or improvement. Way too women are actively taking part in sanitising movements of hate for it to be useful to label us victims as a whole group when so many are using their position (generally as white cis women) to oppress poorer people and other vulnerable minorities. If one isn't gonna view sexism and oppression as a whole with nuance rather than as a black and white thing, one could maybe just focus passions on something easier, like watching movies. Until more willing to reflect thoroughly and openly on the state of things.
