I drew these guys not too long ago but I wanted to update the art a little and make their profiles match the format of the others.

A trailer has aired for that live action series, it's due out Oct19 in Japan. (As neat as it is to have a live-action Pokemon series now, I wish the premise was a little more interesting. I think most of us had envisioned something a little like the Detective Pikachu movie. Like, having it take place in the actual Pokémon world with Pokémon by your side.)

For our next Project Voltage song, it will be titled Electrical Forecast (by inabakumori)! Here's the promo art!

These figures will be available in Japan in November via Takara Tomy. 👀 at the Floragato. (It might still be a little too early for Liko's Sprigatito to evolve, but imo, it should eventually. It doesn't really have the excuse of being a mascot Pokémon like Pikachu did.)

Too Many All-Rounders in Pokemon Unite?

It's been a little over two years since Pokemon Unite came out, and in that time, over 40 new Pokemon have been added to the game, 13 of which came out as All-Rounders. Now, say what you will about the All-Rounder archetype as a whole, but they do their job well in managing multiple roles in one battle, playing as either a Speedster, Defender, or even as an Attacker through certain choice Moves.

However, nowadays you'll find that there's a bit of discourse surrounding All-Rounders as a whole. More specifically, about how the All-Rounder moniker is thoughtlessly slapped onto any pokemon that lacks a defining role when they get into Pokemon Unite.

Now, I get it. When a pokemon comes along with a broad spread of stats and moves and an ability that can either lean into offense or defense or even support, it can be hard to pin down the specific role it can take in Pokemon Unite. Some of them could've been Speedsters, others could've been Defenders. But to land on 'All-Rounder' when a pokemon could've been something different, it can make fans of the pokemon itself feel cheated.

But let's not forget what the point of an All-Rounder is, and that is to cover different roles in battle when the team needs it. The need for a Defender or high powered Speedster eases when you've got a team packing two All-Rounders to cover both halves of the map. They've got a job to do, and they can do it well.

I understand how skewed the roster for Pokemon Unite is at the moment, with nearly as many All-Rounders as there are Attackers, which is why I've been trying to keep things balanced in my own posts. Even so, some pokemon are simply destined to fill the role of an All-Rounder, so Season 3 of my Pokemon Unite movesets will see more All-Rounders than normal. I will make sure that each one is unique and varied in their versatility.

Like my old Falinks post. I think I did a pretty good job with this one. Though I have a funny feeling that this post will become obsolete very soon...

While here ill say I like buzzwole's shiny :] it is like a cheesy superhero to me. It could be better or cooler yeah, but I am endeared nonetheless

The Holowear tuxedo style for Buzzwole is a year old now, but they've added color variations for it in Unite.

Pokemon Card of the Day #2859: Unit Energy FDY (Forbidden Light)

The third Unit Energy took an extra set before it was released, but it did the same for the remaining types as the previous ones did for theirs. Unit Energy FDY, when attached to a Pokemon, provided 1 Energy that could work as Fighting, Darkness, and Fairy Energy. Typically this meant Fighting and Darkness, fitting the requirements of 2 different Pokemon in a deck at once. Maybe it was Lycanroc-GX and Weavile. Or it could be Garchomp & Giratina-GX and the Psychic-type Blacephalon, or possibly Spiritomb and Buzzwole. If your deck was using multiple of these types, including the lesser used for this purpose Fairy, Unit Energy FDY was worth including in your deck.

im currently Ultra Class 5 in competitive (might change soon) and my best pokemon are garchomp, buzzwole, scizor, zeraora, and absol. i try hoopa too but supporters require a lot of coordination to do well
