Additionally, individual rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan and Porsche Carrera Cup Asia also continue as part of the Formula 1 support programme. For the 2023 season, the international one-make cup contest will see 28 permanent spots available for registered competitors, racing with the 375 kW (510 PS) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machine. Depending on the capacity of the racetracks, additional guest drivers may also enrol. “For more than 30 years Porsche has been an important part of the Formula 1 weekend. Thoughts on being Porsche's racer and 20XX team's boss Kris: It's my first time doing this so I felt pressured. I aim to promote and preserve racing culture even more. I have dreams to join more international competitions in future! I'll work hard in establishing myself and my team as racers.

Kris: Everyone knows my main profession is not a racer but rather an artist and an actor, so I'll make time every month especially when it's near racing season and my team's situation to practice. It's better if I maintain it this way.

Thoughts on starting a new racing team Kris: I myself enjoy racing. It's like a dream to me. Secondly, I'd like to cultivate a team of experienced drivers and show China's potential in racing. Whether it's joining personally/as a boss, I hope we can join more competitions. In future, I hope to hold more racing events and activities such as welcoming others to experience a taste of racing. I haven't plan this throughly yet, but I'll definitely welcome everyone here to join. I'll be participating in the GT Super Spin Challenge, I'll be representing my team for that. As for the Cup series, I personally have no experience driving it at all and I'm looking forward to sampling it this afternoon.

Porsche Supercup to continue as F1 support series until 2030 under new deal

Porsche’s support series will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2030, after the two parties signed an eight-year extension of their collaboration. Porsche Supercup, which first appeared on the F1 schedule back in 1993, will feature at eight European rounds through 2023 – the season kicking off in May as a support to the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and concluding at September’s Italian Grand Prix. 53 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Start at Le Mans

Porsche’s one-make cups are well represented by a packed grid at Le Mans. As part of the support program of the legendary 24-hour race, the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and the Porsche Carrera Cup France deploy 53 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup on the racetrack. Michael Fassbender contests the race as a guest driver and gains valuable experience for his personal “Road to Le Mans” project. The German-Irish actor is eager to contest next year’s classic in a Porsche 911 RSR. Porsche AG also fields a second VIP vehicle helmed by Max van Splunteren (Netherlands) – as a reward for the rookie title winner’s strong performance in the 2020 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

The unwavering appeal of Porsche’s one-make cups lies in the principle of equal opportunities: Identical vehicles, control tires and restricted set-up options put the drivers’ performance in the foreground. In the past, many drivers from the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) had taken this path on their way to professional motor racing. In 2011, Kévin Estre won the French Carrera Cup before going on to claim the title in the German equivalent two years later. The Frenchman has been a member of Porsche’s factory driver squad since 2016. Estre won the GTE-Pro class at the 2018 Le Mans endurance classic. A year later, the 31-year-old was crowned world champion of the WEC there.

Estre and other top drivers serve as role models for the young pilots contesting the Carrera Cup Le Mans. Using the Sarthe circuit as a stage on which to showcase the 485-hp vehicles is another weekend highlight. However, it will not only be the “young guns”, including Porsche Juniors Jaxon Evans (New Zealand) and Ayhancan Güven (Turkey), who head into the battle for points, prize money and prestige at 9.15 am local time on Saturday. Seasoned Porsche racing drivers are also keen to savour the Le Mans flair and are determined to bring home victory in the Pro-Am or amateur classification. Also joining the international field of competitors from 14 countries are Loek Hartog (Netherlands) from the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and Alessio Picariello (Belgium) representing Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

“With its large international grid line-up, the Porsche Carrera Cup Le Mans clearly underscores how the Porsche one-make cups serve as a springboard into professional motorsport worldwide. The event held as support to the Le Mans 24 Hours is an absolute highlight for everyone involved. The two Dutchmen Larry ten Voorde and Max van Splunteren have a busy schedule this weekend. Both have already underlined their talent in this year’s Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, with van Splunteren securing the rookie title and ten Voorde as the newly crowned champion of the international racing series. At Le Mans, the pair contests not only the Porsche Carrera Cup Le Mans but also tackles the 24-hour race in the cockpit of a Porsche 911 RSR fielded by Porsche customer teams. Ten Voorde competes for the 2019 GTE-Am class winners, Project 1. Van Splunteren tackles the 24-hour race for Proton Competition.

Đường đua Hà Nội dài hơn 5,6 km với 23 khúc cua đã hoàn thành, đạt tiêu chuẩn cho các tay đua F1 tranh tài vào tháng 4 Vietnam Grand Prix (VGPC) – đơn vị tổ chức chặng đua Formula 1 VinFast Vietnam Grand Prix 2020 vừa chính thức công bố Đường đua Hà Nội đã hoàn tất thi công toàn bộ 5,6 km đường đua và các hạng mục cố định đi kèm sau hơn 11 tháng thi công. Đây là đường đua do đơn vị Motorsports trực thuộc F1 phối hợp cùng các kỹ sư công ty Tilke (Đức) thiết kế với chiều dài tổng cộng là 5,607 km với 23 khúc cua được thiết kế kết hợp giữa những đoạn đường đua được xây dựng chuyên biệt với các đoạn đường phố hiện hữu.Đường đua Hà Nội là đường đua theo tiêu chuẩn Grade 1, tiêu chuẩn cao nhất của giải đua xe Công thức 1 với yêu cầu cao và khắt khe về kỹ thuật. Các đoạn đường được trải ba lớp nhựa asphalt đặc chủng được sản xuất chuyên biệt. Mẫu của lớp nhựa này được gửi tới các phòng thí nghiệm tại Singapore và Đức để thử nghiệm, đảm bảo đáp ứng các yêu cầu về độ ma sát và độ mịn để khi những chiếc xe đua đạt tốc độ 335 km/h mặt đường sẽ không bị bắn đất đá lên. Đặc biệt, việc thi công đường đua công thức 1 Hà Nội luôn đặt việc ưu tiên sử dụng nguyên vật liệu trong nước. Các kỹ sư của đường đua đã rà soát từ Bắc vào Nam và thử nghiệm ở nhiều mỏ khác nhau để tìm ra vật liệu có chất lượng tốt nhất. Đá sử dụng để tạo thành lớp cuối cùng của mặt đường được tập hợp từ các mỏ đá ở Quảng Ninh, xử lý qua các công đoạn và trộn tại trạm xây riêng phục vụ đường đua.
