Yuuki: Down Boy! HEEL!
Idia: He's a chimera not a puppy!
Yuuki: Chimera, Puppy, what's the difference, he's still a danger floof who needs pets and love!
Idia: ... we're all gonna die.
a common misconception that i have been seeing in the fandom is that malleus chose how the dreams are
malleus didn’t choose anyones dreams
we have to remember that THE ENTIRE ISLAND is under his um, how would he choose everyones dreams when he doesn’t know 1/10 of these peoples?
also, lilia’s dream was set in a time malleus didn’t knew and showed a fact completely different from what malleus was told. he was just as shocked with the reveal that lilia was the one that hatched him as any of us, if malleus would choose he definitely wouldn’t make lilia go through the pain of losing maleonor and raverne again
that doesn’t mean he CANT control the dreams, he was offering lilia a new dream based on what he believe that would be a better reality for lilia, himself couldn’t accept that true happiness for lilia still included losing his loved ones, the war, his magic and his lifespan, just for the joy of seeing malleus being born.
that also doesn’t change that malleus concept of happiness IS messed up, but i’ll talk more about this in another post
how his um works exactly is up to debate, but it doesn’t make any sense for him to have chosen theses dreams, these are the character deepest desires, is what THEY think will make them happy, not what malleus think that will make them happy.
yes, lizard boi is wrong for thinking that sleeping for eternity dreaming about a perfect world is what everyone would wish for, but what that “perfect world” looks like is not something he decided.
No because Lawrence and Adam will forever drive me insane. Like, all romantic possibilities aside… did Lawrence actually care at all? Did he think about Adam while he was being nursed back to health by John?? Did he ask John to free Adam? Does the guilt haunt him, knowing he lost and still made it out while Adam won and died?? When he went back to that bathroom and saw Adam’s corpse did he feel anything??? Or was that expression on his face when he looked at the hacksaw selfish, just thinking about all HE lost? Did he tenderly remove the shackle from Adam’s rotting ankle and wish he’d gotten to do so when the flesh was alive, or did he pop it off without much thought? Was he lying to Adam when he promised to bring back help?? If so, was it malicious or just an effort to comfort him in what Lawrence thought might’ve been both of their final moments? Did he mean to kill Adam when he shot him??? I NEED ANSWERS.
I know we’ll never get the full story as to why Silver’s kingdom fell, but the story it paints is so interesting.
What happened to Henrick that made Leah Queen? What happened to their father, was he cured of his illness or was he poisoned by Henrick as an excuse to attack Maleanor for her gem? Who were these other groups of people who fought over the territory to the point that Silver’s short-lived kingdom completely fell apart?
The visual of Dawn Knight being killed defending the castle that held his wife and baby is so strong in my head
Leah making herself a distraction and getting killed while escaping the castle so that Silver can be spelled and kept safe
Dawn’s guardian fairies preventing Silver from being found for over 400 years
Did Dawn die slowly, bleeding out as invaders stormed in to kill his family? Did he think about how this is what Maleanor must have felt when he killed her?
Did Leah ever manage to escape but was never able to come back for her baby? Or was she killed as soon as she left?
Who betrayed them? What happened to the attackers after the kingdom fell. We’ll literally never know but I’m obsessed with these details.
got distracted again and wrote like 3k words of a fic that's like Goemon's Unhinged Physical Therapy That Is Also Psychological Therapy. this one's even more sad and wet than my last one, oh boy. this is the title card
