Brazil Whey Market Share, Size, Trends, Revenue, Growth Strategy, Challenges, Business Opportunities and Forecast 2033: SPER Market Research
Whey protein is a high-quality protein that is separated from milk during the cheese-making process. It contains a lot of necessary amino acids, particularly BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids), which are important for the development and maintenance of muscle. Additionally, it has lactoferrin and immunoglobulins, which can strengthen the body's immune system. Due to its quick absorption and easy digestion, many people prefer using it as a supplement for post-workout recovery. It's well known for helping with weight management by encouraging sensations of fullness and supporting the maintenance of lean muscle mass. It can offer a ready-to-use supply of amino acids to build stronger muscles during exercise.
According to SPER market research, ‘Brazil Whey Protein Market Size- By Product Type, By Application- Regional Outlook, Competitive Strategies and Segment Forecast to 2033’ state that the Brazil Whey Protein Market is predicted to reach USD XX billion by 2033 with a CAGR of 8.24%.
The growing influence of e-commerce platforms, growing number of fitness centres, growing health and fitness consciousness, changing lifestyles, and sports nutrition are the main factors driving the Brazil whey protein market. Higher protein diets are becoming more popular among consumers as a way to promote weight loss, muscular growth, and general wellbeing. These dietary habits are well-suited for whey protein, which is well-known for its high-quality protein content. Further broadening the market's reach and accessibility is the development of e-commerce platforms, which make it simple for customers to obtain a range of whey protein brands and products. Furthermore, celebrity, fitness influencer, and athlete endorsements from Brazil increase the legitimacy of whey protein products and promote consumer uptake.
Tumblr media
Growing consumer awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy diet and living an active lifestyle is driving the global demand for plant proteins. Furthermore, a huge market for plant proteins is being created by manufacturers' increasing advancements in producing proteins with a wide variety of amino acids and specific purposes, such as energy balancing, weight loss, muscle repair, and satiety. As a result, it immediately replaces animal protein products, impeding the expansion of the protein market. Plant-based proteins have gained a lot of popularity in recent years. A few examples of these include soy, pea, wheat, rice, algae, and hemp.

The COVID-19 pandemic has a broad impact on the market for whey protein in Brazil. Early in the pandemic, people were looking to maintain their workout routines and boost their immune systems, which led to a spike in demand for health and wellness products, particularly whey protein. As a result, the industry's revenues briefly increased. But as the disease spread and the severity of the economic problems increased, many customers ran into financial difficulties, which reduced their discretionary purchasing. This thus reduced prospective customers' purchasing power and slowed demand for whey protein.
Brazil Whey Protein Market Key Players:
Due to its higher level of urbanization, which frequently equates to a greater knowledge and acceptance of fitness and health trends, South America has the greatest revenue share geographically. This region's urban lifestyle has increased demand for fitness-related items like whey protein and placed a higher priority on wellness. Furthermore, because of its economic importance and growing infrastructure, the South area frequently has access to a greater range of health and nutrition items as well as improved distribution networks. Furthermore, Arla Foods Ingredients, Carbery Group, Fonterra Co-Operative Group, Friesland Campina, and other significant firms are some of the market leaders.

Collagen craze drives deforestation and rights abuses
For the first time an investigation has linked collagen powder to violence against Indigenous peoples in Brazilian forests
Tumblr media
The stench arrives before the lorries do. They are carrying skins that were stripped from cattle carcasses days ago. Flies are everywhere.
The lorries’ destination is Amparo, a small industrial town in São Paulo state, southeastern Brazil. Here, Rousselot, a company owned by the Texan business Darling Ingredients, extracts collagen – the active ingredient in health supplements at the centre of a global wellness craze.
But while collagen’s most evangelical users claim the protein can improve hair, skin, nails and joints, slowing the ageing process, it has a dubious effect on the health of the planet. Collagen can be extracted from fish, pig and cattle skin, but behind the wildly popular “bovine” variety in particular lies an opaque industry driving the destruction of tropical forests and fuelling violence and human rights abuses in the Brazilian Amazon.
An investigation by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, the Guardian, ITV and O Joio e O Trigo has found that tens of thousands of cattle raised on farms damaging tropical forests were processed at abattoirs connected to international collagen supply chains.
Some of this collagen can be traced all the way to Nestlé-owned Vital Proteins, a major producer of collagen supplements championed by the actress Jennifer Aniston. Vital Proteins is sold globally – including online on Amazon, in Walmart stores in the US, in Holland & Barrett and Boots in the UK and in Costco in both countries.
The investigation – the first to connect bovine collagen with tropical forest loss and violence against Indigenous peoples – found at least 2,600 sq km of deforestation linked to the supply chains of two Brazil-based collagen operations with connections to Darling: Rousselot and Gelnex, which is in the process of being acquired by Darling for $1.2bn. It is unclear how much of this deforestation, which was calculated by the Center for Climate Crime Analysis, is linked to Vital Proteins.

PSA: the vast majority of commercial dog food is terrible for your dog, and you cannot feed a dog a "vegan" (or vegetarian) diet.
Dogs are what is called facultative carnivores, meaning they can and will eat food that is not part of their typical, ideal diet if circumstances call for it. This is why they are often called omnivores (the line between facultative carnivores and omnivores is debated). Comparatively, obligate carnivores, like cats, cannot process non-carnivorous food at all.
This means that although the primary and default diet of domesticated dogs is other animals, dogs' digestive systems are capable of digesting other food sources like plants if a carnivorous option is not available: in other words, if they're hungry enough, they can "get by" on less ideal food sources.
Although dogs' systems can tolerate some plant material in their diet, they will not thrive on a long-term diet high in carbohydrates. This is because while dogs' pancreases do produce amylase (the enzyme that breaks down carbs), it's not nearly as much as true omnivores like humans, and can even vary quite a bit from dog-to-dog. They also don't produce cellulase at all. So a diet high in plant material for too long can be hard on their systems and lead to long-term serious health affects that will shorten their lifespan, such as early organ failure and heart disease - yes, even if they "seem great" on the day-to-day.
Ideally, a dog's diet should not be more than 15% plant material. However, the vast majority of commercial dog food is only 30% animal-derived ingredients, because 30% is the industry required minimum in order to be commercially sold. Even a lot of brands that boast about having "high animal protein" are often only hitting the 60% benchmark. Why? Because plant foods like legumes, sweet potatoes, and grains are a much, much cheaper way to "bulk up" the dog food than using 85-95% animal products. And then they artificially add in a ton of vitamins and nutrients to make them "nutritionally complete" (because plant nutrients are less bioavailable to carnivores), whereas a dog would easily get them from a diet with correctly proportioned inclusions of organs and bones.
Don't even get me started on ""vegan"" dog foods. A diet that is 100% plant based is straight up animal cruelty for a facultative carnivore like dogs and you cannot change my mind. You're literally taking years off your pet's lifespan in the name of your ideology. If you want a pet you can feed a completely plant-based diet without consequence, get a rabbit.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an easy or cheap pet, and dogs aren't an exception. I understand that feeding a dog a proper diet is an expensive venture. The best dog food you can buy at the pet store will still be below the ideal, and it will cost $$$. Just do the best you can for your circumstances. Even occasionally swapping commercial food for a little raw animal supplementation can help. Avoid kibble with legumes or potatoes.
And if you're thinking of getting a dog... I mean this gently, but you need to seriously consider whether you can actually afford to feed them. Don't get pets unless you can afford all the care they require.

There's this one joke I see often mentioned, this one is specific to white people, and honestly it was a bit funny the first time. "White people colonised the word to get spices, only to not do anything with them." Like I said, it was a bit funny the first time. But it kinda became more eyebrow raising when I noticed how many people unironically said it, and apparently have genuinely no clue why "white people" suddenly stopped focusing on spices. I mean, we better not look at any part of southern Europe, but moving on.
You know. Why did white people colonised the world for spices, but then people stopped using them? It's almost like there's a reason for it. A very specific reason. A very important HISTORICAL reason. An important reason why spices became less used, especially by the peasantry. A reason that could explain why food would suddenly be less about indulging in flavor, and more about just being able to eat at all. Something like a food scarcity suddenly reaching an all time high and trade becoming a lot more dangerous. A VERY significant thing that happened in WORLD history. Something that became even deadlier with the industrial revolution. Something that made it so that most modes of transportation which previously had been used to get food from one place to the other became a lot less accessible and also a lot more dangerous. Anyone? Got some answers? And honestly, I find that anyone who judges food in such a way to be incredibly obnoxious. Different countries, cultures, and people have different flavor profiles. Some rely on spices, some on herbs, some on fats, some on vegetables, or even just on bringing out each ingredients own flavor, some are even just more focused on survival. Food is dependent on geography and what's available, and some palates prefer certain tastes. The closer you get to the arctic circle the less you will be able to add to the food because the most available food is literary animal protein, with import prices being absolutely insane.
Making a bit of light fun of different foods isn't the issue, it's the stupid maliciousness about it that's obnoxious. Putting your culinary culture above others boorish and just insanely childish in a globalized world. I honestly have a huge dislike for anyone who needs to mock and act all snooty about other cultural foods. Just because you are too afraid to widen your culinary horizons, doesn't mean you have to show everyone what a little baby you are.
Signed -A foodie.

Frankly, people are also stupid af about the basic principles of aesthetics and showing off. The pendulum swings between "I can get bling and you can't" and "Everyone can get everything, but no one can buy taste"/"Quality of the materials is what matters, not fanciness of preparation".
On one end, we have Medieval European food and gem-encrusted things, on the other, the French culinary revolution and all beige homes.
Ancient Rome has aesthetics treatises on this. China has experienced this back and forth. Heian Japan was into modern tacky bling, while zen shit is firmly Team Greige.
It's a basic feature of how aesthetic trends work.

In August 1963, the Dutchveterinarian Dan (E.H.) Kampelmacher stepped on a plane to Lima, the capital of Peru. His destination: smelly factories in Lima’s port city which ground up tiny anchovy fish from the Pacific Ocean into huge amounts of animal feed. Peru exported one fifth of this ‘fishmeal’ to the Netherlands, where farmers used it to feed their quickly rising numbers of chickens and pigs in new intensive livestock or ‘factory’ farms. [...]
The ports of Lima and Rotterdam connected the ecosystems of Peruvian fishmeal plants and Dutch farms. [...] [H]ardly anyone showed any interest in what the stuff was made of. Although Dutch farmers had started to refer to their new industrial poultry and pig farms as ‘landless’ at this point in time, they did not intend this phrase to mean their growing dependence on oceans rather than land. Rather, it characterized a fundamental change in livestock farming: in the postwar era farmers could increase their numbers of animals independently of the area of land they had for growing feed. The phrase ‘landless’ erased from view that these farms in fact depended on places elsewhere on the planet. [...] [T]he fish, called “anchoveta” [were] from the Humboldt Current ecosystem [...].
Fishmeal was invisible, despite its crucial importance for two interrelated major changes in the Netherlands and the global north in general: the rise of intensive livestock farming, and the unprecedented increase in the consumption of meat and eggs. [...] How did fishmeal and its environmental impacts connect industrial livestock farming in the global north to its production places in the global south [...]? [...]
---
Shadow places are ‘all those places that produce or are affected by the commodities you consume, places consumers don’t know about, don’t want to know about, and in a commodity regime don’t ever need to know about or take responsibility for’. It is very similar to the ‘ghost acres’ concept used by environmental and global historians: the acres of land countries used elsewhere on the planet [...]. Cushman analyses the rise of the Peruvian fishmeal industry as another case of what he calls ‘neo-ecological imperialism’: the ‘Blue Revolution’ [...], to stress the connection between fishmeal production in the Pacific World and the rise of industrial livestock farming in the global north. [...]
Fishmeal fed the twentieth-century shift to industrial livestock farming – the Netherlands was among the top three fishmeal importers internationally from 1954 to 1972. [...] Animal proteins – and fishmeal in particular – played an essential role in this shift to industrial livestock farming [...]. But for poultry and pigs, animal proteins were an ‘indispensable ingredient’ [...]. Internationally, fishery landings tripled in the period 1950–1973 due to the rise in fishmeal production for animal feed. [...] During the Peruvian fishmeal boom from 1958 until 1970, [...] [t]he livestock sector started to refer to it explicitly as ‘Peru fishmeal’ [...]. The Netherlands was the second-largest importer after the USA in 1955 [...].
---
According to Cushman and Wintersteen, the spectacular rise of the Peruvian fishmeal industry was the result of [...] international interest in the Peruvian stocks of small fish suitable for fishmeal production, interest from the USA in particular.
After the collapse of the Californian fishmeal industry shortly after the Second World War, industrial fishmeal plants in Peru were realised with American marine expertise, investments by American industrialists, subsidiaries of American companies like Cargill and Ralston Purina, and second-hand American fishmeal equipment and technology. [...]
As a result, the Peruvian fishery industry changed radically during the 1950s. Rather than a being a by-product of fish canneries, fishmeal became its core focus. [...] [A]nd industrialists moved in entire fishmeal plants from the USA and Scandinavia. These plants could turn 5.4 tons of fish into a ton of fishmeal at the peak of the industry [...].
---
Angola exported fishmeal under Portuguese colonial rule (until 1975), and South Africa exported fishmeal during Apartheid (until 1994). In Chile the neoliberal dictatorship of general Augusto Pinochet (1973–1990) gave fishmeal industrialists free rein again from 1973 onwards, and Chile had replaced Peru as the major fishmeal exporter by 1980.
Social inequality was exacerbated [...]. Fishmeal industrialists made enormous amounts of money, and stock exchanges in the global north enabled speculation on fishmeal. Simultaneously, workers in the fishmeal plants were poorly paid and lived in slums with no paved roads, running water or electricity, unhealthy conditions and polluted air. Fishmeal’s volatile market resulted in labour unrest during the 1960s in Peru, and during the 1980s in Chile. [...] Many factories were moved to less-regulated places along the coast, taking the air pollution and resulting public health problems with them. One of these places was the city of Chimbote, which quickly grew into the largest fishmeal city of Peru, and became ‘one of the nation’s … most polluted cities’. [...] One place impacted by the feeding of fish to farm animals was in particular in shadows: the marine ecosystems from which the tiny fish were taken, like the Pacific Humboldt Current along the coast of Peru and Chile. [...]
The ocean ecosystems in the global south exploited to feed the industrial livestock sector in the north remained largely invisible. [...] The disappearance of the Peruvian anchoveta also made the ‘protein crisis’ move north. The Dutch livestock sector referred to the ‘true emergency situation’ of the Peruvian fishmeal crisis as the ‘protein crisis’ (‘de eiwit-crisis’). [...] But in 1972–1973 the Humboldt Current marine ecosystem created its own shadow places in both the north and the south. The extraordinary strong El Niño led to the sudden disappearance of the anchovy population [...].

Intermediate Kitchen Witchcraft: Nutrition
The ideas of nutrition and healthy eating have been corrupted by the diet industry. Auntie says fuck that. Think of nutrition as a matter of nutrients. Don’t take, don’t deprive. Add to your body!
For intermediate witchcraft, think of things as macronutrients (big) and micronutrients (small). A macronutrient is what your body uses the most of, while a micronutrient is what your body uses a smaller amount of.
Macronutrients are: protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Your body needs all three of them - yes, even fat and carbs. Fuck what the diet industry told you and listen to Auntie: it is not only ok to eat fat and carbs, it is actively a good thing.
Micronutrients are: vitamins and minerals. Your body is a gloriously complex, divine structure that requires a steady supply of the Earth’s bounty to thrive. You can use these amazing things She has given us to improve your body and your mind. Use what She gives you!
Let’s take a look at some common magical ingredients and the micronutrients they give you! This will help provide you with a greater understanding of how to use them to craft your kitchen spells. Magical properties are purple, practical are pink.
Cinnamon: Healing, protection, warmth, love, prosperity. Vitamins A, B, C, K; calcium; magnesium; potassium; phosphorus. Useful in lowering blood pressure, high in antioxidants, can improve insulin sensitivity, protects against heart disease, powerful anti-inflammatory. Connect the practical value to the magical value. What do you think corresponds? The one that jumps out to me is love corresponding to heart health.
Lemons: Purification, cleansing, joy. Extremely high in Vitamin C; fiber; B6; potassium. Lowers your risk of kidney stones, antiseptic properties, big immune booster. Once again, compare the practical and magical uses. I see vitamin B6 connecting to joy - B vitamins are known to improve stress responses.
Arugula: Attraction, abundance, sex magic, psychic powers. Potassium, calcium, folate; vitamins B, C, D, K, and A. Calcium & vitamin D work together for bone health; eye health; high in antioxidants; improves iron absorption; contains many elements shown to reduce cancer risks. I see a connection in iron absorption and sex magic.
Now, while these are a very direct nutrient-to-association correlation, we do also need to remember that there are other factors. Taste is a huge factor in kitchen magic! Cinnamon associates to a warm disposition; cinnamon is a hot food. Lemons are a sunny food. Arugula is easy to grow, therefore it is abundant.
Homework:
Comment below with your connections on the ingredients listed above. OR
Choose your favorite magical ingredient and reblog it with an analysis of how its magical properties correlate to its practical properties. Feel free to delve into some of the other connections too!

Lover | Kim Mingyu
Stronger Than Ever
Lover Series🖤🌼
Tumblr media
Pairing: Idol!Mingyu x FashionEditor!reader (ft. NonBiologicalBrother!Joshua)
Genre: series, angst, fluff, established relationship, humour
____________________________________
The thrill of meeting Mingyu's family for the first time was an unparalleled experience. You had always sensed that he was a mere reflection of the love and warmth within his family, and that notion came to life when you stood face-to-face with his mother. It was an impromptu decision to surprise Mingyu with a homemade dinner, using the bounty he kept stocked in his fridge. The plan was to create a wholesome hotpot teeming with vibrant vegetables and nourishing proteins.
As the clock struck 5, you left your office behind and ventured into the world of culinary creation, armed with fresh ingredients. The rhythmic sounds of chopping and sizzling filled the air. However, an unexpected knock disrupted the symphony—the distinct sound of the door password being tapped. Curiosity and caution merged as you paused, realizing it wasn't yet Mingyu's expected arrival time.
In perfect sync with your intuition, it wasn't Mingyu who entered but his mother, arms laden with bags containing her lovingly prepared side dishes. Surprise danced across both your faces, mutual strangers drawn together by shared affection for the same man. Moving quickly, you greeted her with utmost politeness, rushing to assist with her bags. With a calm demeanor, she observed as you navigated the bustling kitchen, though a momentary panic struck as you forgot to turn off the stove. Swiftly remedying the situation, you deftly silenced the hissing flames.
"You're Mingyu's girlfriend, aren't you?" she inquired, her eyes seeking confirmation. A nod from you affirmed the connection. The organized chaos of your kitchen did little to daunt her; instead, she offered a gentle smile and a heartwarming promise to help with the side dishes. As you two worked in harmony, the conversation flowed freely, centering on Mingyu and his endearing eating habits, which both of you agreed could rival an Olympic feat.
The scene that unfolded when Mingyu returned was nothing short of amusing. Flustered by the intimacy you had forged with his mother, his astonishment peeked through as he entered the kitchen. The sight of his mother feeding you kimchi, a gesture that would typically be considered too intimate for a first meeting, filled him with a complex mixture of surprise, amusement, and undeniable affection. His heart swelled at the sight of his loved ones embracing you, bridging the gap between his worlds.
The family dinner that followed revealed more layers of his family's dynamic. His father, a man of few words, observed and absorbed, letting his wife take the reins of conversation. A revelation awaited as well: Mingyu's sister, an aspiring fashion designer, unveiled a shared history between you two from college days. With her burgeoning brand, your offer to promote her collection through your team emerged as an unexpected bridge, fostering a bond that transcended blood. The connection you were forming with his sister awakened a sense of pride and joy, knowing that the woman he cherished was seamlessly integrating into his family circle.
The challenge of introducing you to his fans, however, stirred a contrasting torrent of emotions within both of you. As you navigated the influx of attention and opinions from the Seventeen fandom, you maintained your composed demeanor, unshaken by the praise or criticism that streamed through your digital world. The unwavering focus on fashion trends and global concerns that defined your perspective acted as a shield against the storm of opinions, protecting you from the emotional onslaught.
Mingyu, on the other hand, found himself grappling with profound vulnerability. The industry in which he thrived had trained him to handle public scrutiny and maintain an enigmatic allure, but introducing his personal life had stripped away that veneer. The nervousness that gripped him as he faced cameras and fans was not merely a product of fame; it was a testament to the depths of his emotions for you. Your unwavering presence beside him, your steadfastness through the tumultuous period, became an anchor that he clung to in the midst of the storm. The newfound realization that his career was interwoven with his identity showcased the depth of his investment, both professionally and personally.
In the midst of the public gaze, you were his sanctuary, the constant amidst the chaos. The empathy you shared for his challenges forged a deeper bond between you, reaffirming your role as partners in this journey. While your world revolved around fashion and global issues, you found yourself stepping into the spotlight of his life, offering him solace and understanding as he navigated uncharted emotional waters.
"It's okay, Mingyu. I don't really mind what people say about me. What you think of me is what matters," you assured Mingyu, your voice filled with calm determination as you talked about dealing with public opinions.
Over the passing years, your relationship grew alongside the recognition it received from fans. The journey got smoother, a far cry from the unsure beginnings. Mingyu still kept parts of your relationship private, but the secrecy felt more like a cozy shield than a burden. The understanding had set in that there was no need to hide your connection anymore. His fans were already aware of you, rendering any attempt at secrecy unnecessary.
Mingyu took joy in openly spending time with you, cherishing those moments when you could just be yourselves without hiding. He was fascinated by how easily you engaged with his fans, turning every public moment into a genuine interaction. There was one time that showcased this wonderfully. A fan came up, a mix of excitement and nervousness in their eyes, asking for a photo. Mingyu declined with kindness, explaining he was on a date with you. Before the fan's disappointment could settle, you stepped in, offering to take the photo. The fan's face lit up, and Mingyu couldn't hold back a chuckle as he watched you guide them for the perfect pose.
In those unplanned, unscripted moments, Mingyu fell even more in love with you. Your natural ability to connect his private and public life amazed him. Your kindness, your genuine interest in his fans, and your down-to-earth demeanor made everyone feel comfortable around you. Each interaction, every shared smile, turned fame's challenges into distant background noise.
Amid this evolving journey, Mingyu understood you were his anchor. With you there, he could navigate the stormy waters of public attention gracefully. The opinions and judgments swirling around were powerless against the connection you shared. Your unwavering support gave him the strength to face anything that came his way.
As time passed, your bond deepened, intertwining your lives beyond the public's gaze. Your story wasn't only about glitzy outings or the limelight; it was about quiet moments, shared laughter, and your profound understanding of each other. Together, you wove a tale of resilience, love, and togetherness—an original narrative that continued to unfold with every step of your journey. Each experience, whether it was in the cozy haven of his family's home or in the harsh glare of the public eye, contributed to the symphony of feelings that underscored your story. And in this symphony, the melody of your emotions intertwined, harmonizing to create a narrative uniquely your own.
In the present day, the way people perceive idols had transformed into a true blessing. The past was marked by challenges, where the slightest error, gossip, scandal, or even dating was akin to committing a crime in the public eye. The shift in mindset was a gradual process for Mingyu, with people now distinguishing between professionalism and personal lives, and his fans evolving as well. Although not all his fans readily embraced the idea of idols having personal lives beyond their idol status, a change was taking place. Slowly, the concept that "idols are humans too" gained traction, and the focus shifted from the individuals themselves to their music.
This new perspective brought Mingyu, Jeonghan, Joshua, and Vernon to stand as groomsmen at their leader's special day. The ceremony had concluded, leaving Mingyu feeling a sense of emptiness in your absence. You were due to arrive after a client meeting. Unexpectedly, Jeonghan joined him, clinking his glass against Mingyu's.
"Seungcheol might think you're unhappy for him, if you wear that expression," Jeonghan teased. Mingyu sighed, replacing his expression with a smile, determined not to disappoint Seungcheol on his wedding day.
Their attention shifted to the stage where Seungkwan, Hoshi, and Dokyeom were entertaining the newlyweds with their music, providing a comical spectacle as they momentarily forgot their maturity. Mingyu and Jeonghan exchanged amused glances, acknowledging that they wouldn't have been so carefree.
"Where's y/n?" Jeonghan asked, prompting Mingyu to look at his watch. "She should be here soon. Her meeting isn't far."
Jeonghan continued, "Are you nervous?" Mingyu admitted, "A little. But I'm more concerned about Seungcheol hyung's reaction." Jeonghan chuckled in response. "He hates having the spotlight stolen."
Before their conversation could continue, your entrance captured Mingyu's gaze. You appeared in a graceful gray lace dress, exuding elegance. Your usual messy bun highlighted your beauty, leaving Mingyu captivated. If he weren't part of the wedding party, he would have whisked you away, protecting you from the attention of other men present.
After mingling with Joshua and his fiancee, you made your way over to Mingyu and Jeonghan. "I'm sorry I'm late," you apologized. Jeonghan embraced you, and Mingyu kissed your forehead before letting his hand rest on your waist.
"Don't worry, we haven't taken photos yet," Mingyu assured you. Curious about Jeonghan's sister, you inquired about her whereabouts, and he gestured toward the dessert buffet, where she was indulging.
Jeonghan then asked Mingyu about the ring. Mingyu confirmed its presence and admitted to feeling nervous. Jeonghan comforted him with a reassuring pat on the back. Seungcheol and Joshua, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, joined the conversation, sensing Mingyu's unease.
"I was almost about to lose it when Jeonghan mentioned it," Seungcheol remarked. "But I'm on your side, bro." He offered his support for Mingyu's plan to propose.
Joshua, with his deep understanding of you, expressed dissent toward the proposal occurring at Seungcheol's wedding. He pointed out your aversion to attention and your respect for others' moments. While Seungcheol was agreeable, Joshua's words held sway. Mingyu didn't listen.
As the time for photos arrived, you stood before Mingyu, towering over the room. Then, in an unexpected turn, you stepped away from him as people cleared a path. Jeonghan's sister pointed to your back, signaling Mingyu, who dropped to one knee, a ring in his hand. Gasps resonated through the room as Mingyu spoke words that melted hearts. The scene was almost cinematic, culminating in your heartfelt acceptance. The moment became unforgettable for everyone present.
Later on, as you both drove home, Mingyu playfully threw a tantrum, pouting about your response. You chuckled, glancing at the ring on your finger, your smile unwavering.
"You can have this ring if you want to marry me," Mingyu had said earlier. Your amusing response during the proposal garnered laughs, especially Seungcheol's, who was supposed to be the center of attention. Your reply, "Oh, isn't this the ring I lost last week? Thanks, babe," left Mingyu somewhat embarrassed. You remembered the lightheartedness of the moment as you slipped the ring onto your finger, knowing it wasn't the real proposal.
Your hand found its way to Mingyu's cheek, your palm soothingly caressing it. "I know you love attention, but we shouldn't take it from Seungcheol oppa today," you told him. Mingyu's cuteness overwhelmed you, and you reassured him of your feelings.
"Did you expect that?" you playfully asked, and he nodded, admitting he wanted to seize the chance, even if your rejection was anticipated. Your presence at the event restored his confidence, allowing him to make his proposal.
As you reached your apartment building, Mingyu mentioned needing to buy something from the convenience store. As you waited, he texted if you'd head to his apartment first, as the line was long. You entered the code on his door, chuckling at the date-based password, today's date — as he loves changing his password according to an important event. Inside, you found a trail of roses leading you to a beautifully set dining table overlooking the Han River. Mingyu stood there, holding roses and asters, your favorite flowers, as well as a display of ice cream and your favorite flavor home run ball on the table.
"Hi," he greeted you warmly, a confident smile gracing his face, causing you to burst into laughter and sink to your knees. Never did you expect such a surprise. Swiftly, he closed the distance between you, extending a hand to help you back onto your feet. Handing you the bouquet of flowers, he retrieved the ring box from earlier. He knelt down once more, adopting the same position as before, but this time, the atmosphere was different—intimate and genuine. You were the sole witness to this enchanting moment.
"I apologize for proposing earlier," he admitted. "I'm not upset about the technical rejection. Deep down, I understand that this is what you truly desire. I've always known your heart's desires, babe. You had the ring earlier, so I thought I had nothing left to propose with. But please, recognize the effort I put into this moment. I asked my sister to help me prepare all of this. Will you marry me and spend forever with me?"
Your eyes welled up with tears as you let the flower drop from your hand, and you tugged at his arm, urging him to rise. Without hesitation, your arms wound around his neck, and you captured his lips in a deep kiss, your actions answering his question more profoundly than words ever could. He smiled through the kiss, deepening the connection. When your lips finally parted, his hand rested on your waist, pulling you into an embrace.
"Thank you, baby. I love you so much," Mingyu murmured against your ear. Rising on your tiptoes, you pressed another tender kiss to his lips.
"Just make sure you actually tell the other members this time that you've accepted my proposal," he teased, and the two of you shared a hearty laugh.
As the echoes of your laughter danced in the air, the world around you seemed to glow with the promise of the future. Mingyu's proposal had taken an unexpected turn, transforming a playful moment into a profoundly intimate memory. You both stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, basking in the warmth of your love and the certainty of your shared journey ahead.
With a contented sigh, you leaned against Mingyu's chest, your heart syncing with the rhythm of his. The Han River flowed tranquilly beyond the window, mirroring the serenity you felt within. Every worry and doubt that had lingered had dissolved, leaving behind a resolute conviction that this was where you were meant to be.
"I can't wait to see you as my wife," Mingyu whispered, his breath tickling your ear. You tilted your head, meeting his gaze with a tender smile.
"And I can't wait to see you as my husband," you replied, your fingers intertwining with his.
Hand in hand, you walked towards the future—a future illuminated by the love that had brought you both here. As you stood at the threshold of new beginnings, you were filled with the knowledge that the story you were crafting together was one of laughter, adventure, and unwavering companionship.
With each step you took, you left behind the echoes of the past and embraced the uncharted territory of the future. And in the years to come, whenever you looked back on that day—the day when Mingyu proposed twice and your hearts converged in a symphony of laughter and love—you would smile, knowing that your journey had only just begun.
The end.

Global Animal Feed Protein Ingredients New Technology 2022–2028.
Tumblr media
In animal’s proteins perform many vital activities in the form of enzymes, hormones, and antibodies. Proteins in animal feed mainly come from plant-based sources or animal-based sources. Furthermore, animal-based sources are byproducts or leftovers after an animal is rendered for its meat whereas plant-based sources are different crops that are cultivated for human consumption as well as for animal feed. The soybean crop is the most cultivated crop for animal feed protein.

When you’re told there’s a simple solution to a very complex problem, you’re probably not getting the whole story.
Today’s meat consumption is a good example. Meat and dairy are increasingly under the world’s microscope as livestock—which rely on huge quantities of feed crops and occupy nearly 80 percent of global farmland—accounts for between 14 percent and 30 percent of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It’s also the source of more frequent antimicrobial-resistant pathogens, and much of the global livestock and seafood industries have been exposed for unsafe and abusive working conditions.
This complex web of problems requires more than one answer. And yet “alternative proteins”—from plant-based to lab-grown “fake” meat and dairy—are being promoted as a simple solution. Products like the Impossible Burger, with its 15-plus ingredients, are now in supermarkets and fast food establishments worldwide. Lab-grown chicken has been on the market in Singapore since late 2020 and will likely soon be approved in the U.S. and elsewhere. These products are being sold as a “win-win-win” for animals, people, and the planet. According to Patrick Brown, the outspoken CEO of Impossible Foods, livestock is “the most destructive technology on earth,” and meat substitutes are “the last chance to save the planet.”
Dramatic claims about plant-based meat, lab-grown meat, and “cellular agriculture” have already succeeded in drawing billions of dollars to the sector, including from big-name investors like Bill Gates and Richard Branson. Governments are now paying attention as well. China is readying major investment in lab-grown meat as part of its latest Five-Year Agricultural Plan, and the U.S. government is ploughing $10 million into a National Institute for Cellular Agriculture. Denmark is also backing alternative proteins through a $98 million plant-based food fund.
But these products and their sustainability credentials rest on shaky ground, as I show in a new report out today, “The Politics of Protein,” from the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems (IPES-Food).
