I have all the weapons/codes/outfits from the DLC (save for one, fucker) finally! Ymir's evasion frostcore does not exist I swear to god. I've given up on it, I don't exactly use the focus gauge the way it's intended anyways so it's no big loss for me.

Now I can finally get started on a ng+3 file that'll get me the ending I'm missing for the achievement, as well as get some insp for more of my fic(s). I'm currently trying to write the Cathedral events in RF, which is. Well it's going. Hopefully experiencing that sequence again will help.

As for the actual dlc. Thank fucking god I got it on sale -- it's uh. Not great for the price they put it at. A depths map and artificial longevity of the bosses via challenge A and B? No thank you. Man not even the weapons are even that snazzy. The elemental effects are nice, and I like the unique stats they give in some places, but like??? Not even unique models?

I do like the depths area though, they're pretty places for some reused assets!

The actual story for the dlc was kinda... I didn't mind the idea that Jack had a previous partner, that was cool to learn about. But it was only a memory echo that was stretched across all three dlcs to get the whole story? That kinda blows. I also can't go back and watch it via the hotspring either, because none of the memory echoes are replayable.

Also I'm still not sure how I feel about all the bosses being reskins from God Eater. I know, I know, CV takes place in the same universe, that's what the Horrors are, etc, but ... I dunno. It just feels kinda lazy? Not that that's news either, I saw a lot of people saying similar as the dlc was coming out.

Eh, I don't have to touch it again unless I really hate myself and want to go after the elemental pipes.
