Idk, but when I was thinking of this I thought of him just being Milo thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire if he was an imp (and maybe looking like him with a human disguise).

Loona would tease you. Brutally, in fact. But she does it all out of love. She just doesn't really know how to show people that she cares about them, so she resorts to teasing to hide the fact that she does. She doesn't want to seem vulnerable, after all. Look where that's gotten her in the past.

With that said, that doesn't mean she lets anybody else makes fun of you. No, only SHE'S allowed to do that. Girlfriend privileges, she calls them. Even before you're actually dating.

But the second someone else tries? Ohhhh dear, be prepared for tears. And not hers (or yours).

She'd of course comfort you afterwards, in her own Loona way. Telling you how that person was a loser, anyway. How they didn't understand your "weird, shitty hobbies", but that that only made them a little bitch.

Loona will act like she doesn't care about what you're suggesting to her, but in reality... well, her Mammazon cart is full of her gift ideas for you for special occasions. Comic books, manga, movies, costumes, you name it.

And y'know what? She'll never tell you that she actually paid attention to what you told her.

That's code for "I've been listening a lot, actually, and I know these are things you like, so I wanted to get you something that lets you know I paid attention", by the way.

Honestly, I feel like she'd prefer a nerdy S/O for a guy, though?? Someone she can be playful and fun with without having to maintain her stone-cold persona.

She'd still have those momentary slip-ups where she says something she normally wouldn't, though, although they're much more welcome when you're actually her boyfriend.

Honestly? Octavia seems pretty nerdy, too. Probably has a secret comic book hobby. So she doesn't see anything wrong with your hobbies. She even finds them endearing.

Likes to hear your little hot takes, whether or not she really agrees with them. It opens the floor for some productive discussion and banter.

"Oh yeah? And what happens if I do something like this?"

And she proceeds to either do it, if it's a physical thing she can do, or explain the idea, eager to hear your take on it or if it's something you'd suggest in that scenario.

Due to that, she really isn't hard to make conversation with at all, since she can relate pretty well to your more geeky interests, and even be persuaded to get into the same fandoms. Or have fandom battles, like Marvel vs. D.C..

She'll always side with D.C., though.

And of course, she'll happily come with you to those types of movies, since she usually really enjoys them, herself.

She's more of a music nerd, though, and she'll definitely try to get you to listen to some of her favorite artists. The music is pretty angsty, but it's not bad, either. And you love her, so you bear with it for her.

Definitely the type to take you to one of those geek stores for your birthday and just let you pick whatever you want.

• The man himself. I see you guys kind of being like the moon and the sun in a way. You have very similar ideals, though that comes with the me of you being more monotonous and the other willing to take the upper end.

• Gives very much "he asked for no pickles" vibes.

• You’re quite taller then him. He doesn’t really pay attention to his height or let it get in his way, so it’s up to you if you want to provoke him or not cause he won’t care.

• As for how you look, he likes someone who’s more mature, as you’re described as. He thinks you’re beautiful in the way you dress, and when (if ever) he’s off duty for a special event he asks you to style his outfits. He’s mostly into dark academia, so do what you will.

• Appreciates that you don’t take things from anyone. Levi doesn’t like to just sit around and wait, and appreciates that your the same.

• Sure, maybe you can be a bit bossy to where it’s annoying, but if you do ever come that far he’d call you out on it.

• I don’t think he’s much of a music guy, (mostly because of the time period) but if possible he’d listen to some tunes around the village with you.

• He adores your style. He kind of just throws on the first thing he sees in his draws in the morning, so maybe you can pick an outfit out for him once in awhile.

• He LOVES debating with you! He could go on for hours about a random topic, so the two of you can often keep conversation and get each other out of your shells.

• You’re pretty smart. Most often times I can see you keeping up with his science and supernatural talk. Perhaps make conversation out of it too.

• He listens to the same music as you! Mostly gives chill rock/pop vibes like Michael Jackson and Prince.

oh boy where do i even start. this is like a dream come true for me honestly. i'm going to try to stick to whats actually canon as much as possible, so i wont be getting into my own headcanons here.

i know for a fact im gonna end up typing some parapgraphs so here, i made a table of contents.

spencer is one of the youngest venturiantale characters. the wiki states that he is 17, but when he is first introduced he says that he is 12 years old, so i'm not really sure where the fandom wiki got 17 from. he IS characterized as a young teenaged boy so really his age can be anywhere inbetween those 2 in the present day of canon (which is like... vaguely 2010s.) obviously if you're doing like timeskip aus or whatever he can be an adult.

he is very easily annoyed especially when it comes to stupid people, of which there are an abundance in the gmod roleplay cast. whenever someone ticks him off he tends to call them an "absolute nerd!!!" something which i struggle to incorporate into my own depictions because i can never seem to get it to sound natural. i mean, he himself is portrayed to be this geeky insufferable know-it-all, so it's strange that he would call other people "nerd"s, especially when theyre being dumb. but i digress. short paragraph compared to the other ones but as he's presented in canon, he really does have a simple composition. he's a nerdy kid who hates people and loves to be alone and gets angry easily.

it's hard to discern what spencer likes, but it's easy to tell what he dislikes because he'll make it known. pokemon, power rangers, barbies, really anything pink and girly (with some glaring exceptions such as being a brony and having no issue with sailor moon) and more probably. he's always looking for faults in anything people like. with pokemon, it was that it's a ripoff of digimon; with power rangers, it was that it's just a localization of super sentai, and for this reason he actually likes sailor moon because it isnt derivative. not sure what his feelings are on g4 mlp being a reboot. maybe he prefers the older gens? g3 mlp is really girly and pink though even more than g4 is so maybe he would just be a gen 1 fan and also watch mlpfim. (speculation) the wiki lists his occupation(s) as "brony, hacker, weeb" which is a really good list of things to be into and none of them are jobs. and he HAS had a job at least once is the funny part. he worked at the front desk of a random hotel. anyways from this we can conclude that he probably likes certain anime, likely the more obscure and plot-heavy ones. and he also is really apeshit bananas at computers. he knows ALL THE CODES. all of them. he spends most of his time on the computer or in bed watching anime. the shelves inbetween? i like to imagine he keeps his figures and toys there. i think he's a dc comics fan, but i can't remember if its canon or not.

he's a troglodyte dwelling almost exclusively in the basement of the acachalla house, or sometimes even in lower, secret basements. one time the acachallas moved and they left him there, and when they came back to get some stuff he rose out of the front lawn like a zombie and was like nuh uh uh this is my house now. at least once he was eaten by giant dirt worms under the house. in canon it is stated that he is not allowed to leave the basement, which seems abusive to me. i like to headcanon that spencer only THINKS he's not allowed to leave the basement because that's how it used to be in his original family that he ran away from. but thats not canon; the canon is that he's basically a captive of the acachalla household. he digs tunnels and becomes allied with the mole people but overall it doesnt seem like he minds living underground. anyways.

content warning: cult. also child death and suicide? i guess. before being adopted by the acachallas, spencer was the leader of a cult worshipping an entity known as the spence. the spence was an extremely powerful god who died or something and the mission of the cult was to resurrect him. little spencer, only 12 years old at most, killed himself in an act of ritual sacrifice. he became the mighty spence incarnate, and after gaining new life, he immediately started killing the members of his cult (because they couldnt correctly answer his trivia questions or something), and ordering them to kill one another. then he flew away on the back of a giant seagull all the way across dimensions to little butts north carolina. and then presumably his debut video happened (he goes to gamestop where gertrude is working and annoys her so much with his questions that she beats him to death with a crowbar).

O.K. now some random things. starting with the one i never shut up about: he's definitely bisexual and/or nonbinary BASED ON the situation that occurs in the killer teletubby video when he meets mabeline, a girl cosplaying as johnny ghost. he expresses interest or perhaps attraction to her (??) based on her appearing almost exactly like johnny ghost but having a girl's voice. he says, and i quote, "am i seeing... someone as hot as johnny ghost, but yet also with a feminine voice? that's like the best of both worlds, i dont know where i sign up" like there is no cishet way to interpret that i fear. anyways he also canonically has ocd and at one point, a fear of grass. a lot of this information you can just get from reading the fandom wiki but im so so so glad you asked me instead. he has a level 67 warlock in world of warcraft. he is literally the joker. his braces are so rusty they can be used as magical bullets. he's such an enigma i cant help but be obsessed with him. anyways thats the official spencer guide by me the spence enthusiast. also i have a little doll of him hes awesome

Favorite Instrument: Trombone represent, babey!!!! Great to play, fun to watch, and I love people who do arrangements of whole songs all on trombone! (I want a trombone with an f attachment SO BAD oh my god there are so many lines that would be so easy if I didn’t have to go from sixth to first or seventh to second)

Aesthetic: A three-way split between ‘idk just comfy’, ‘geeky’, and ‘Hello I Am Queer’. ‘idk just comfy’ and ‘geeky’ kind of smoosh together in that most of my comfy t-shirts have a fandom design, but ‘Hello I Am Queer’ consists of a few colors of George polos paired with ties, a rainbow belt, and ball caps worn backwards.

Favorite authors: Diane Duane! I’ve only really read the first few books of Young Wizards and most of Rihansuu but she gets to always stay on the list for namesake reasons. Also Neil Gaiman and Tamora Pierce (I think Circle of Magic has gone out of print which is devastating to me tbh, between the ADHD & several moves I don’t think we have a complete set anymore)

Random fun fact: Hmmm....I’ve made two cross-country (USA) moves, altho I was 2 for the first one XD I went to the 5-5-05 Serenity premiere despite still being in single digits, and there’s a picture of me talking to Adam Baldwin. There’s also a picture of a younger-than-9yo me meeting Mary Pope Osbourne and I believe I also gave her some handwritten Harry Potter/Magic Tree House fanfiction? :P

Starfall Street

At first I didn’t think I’d care much for this route, because it bothered me that we were getting yet another discount Team Skull as an evil team lol(And I hope they stop now and we get something new next gen) BUT. I really loved the Team Star Leaders and their backstories... Just a bunch of  quirky outcast kids who stood up to bullying.... and their designs are all really cool... My favorite is Ortega because I love a superpowered haughty kid, but they’re all very charming

I loved the boss battles, the music(def my favorite boss music out of the 3 routes), the atmosphere, the leaders’ animations, it all worked really well. Didn’t care much about the let’s go battles tho, they felt a bit more clunky than they looked in the trailers

Also it took me an embarrassing long time to realize their Starmobiles were not in fact normal Revavrooms but rather monotypes with custom movesets. I was so confused why my fire moves weren’t super effective lmaooo

I LOVE Penny so much, she is peak character design, her dialogue's really fun and I just Relate to her. She feels like someone I'd be friends with in middle school and share my pokemon OCs with and she would show me her angsty emo Umbreon fursona. I love the fact she is an Eevee stan, it reminds me of my deviantart pokemon fandom days when eeveelutions were everywhere. am i making sense. do you think Penny ever gets in internet arguments with people that say they hate eevelutions because they’re overrated. she calls them her “veevees” i love her so much

Idk shy characters can often be written in a very one-note “precious cinnamon roll who is so fragile and pwecious” way and Penny feels like a much more genuine portrayal of that kind of socially awkward geeky girl. Also she is a literal criminal so good for her

Victory Road

I liked the gym leaders of this gen but there’s not much to say about them in terms of plot lol, they’re just random bosses that you beat and that’s it. The gym leaders usually function mostly as celebrities/important people to provide more worldbuilding and their characterization is more subtle. I liked how they show how Grusha has become cold(ha) and detached because he had to abandon his snowboarding career, little things like that. It would have been nice to see these characters been developed slightly more, maybe through some sidequests or even the Gym Tests. For example, I love that the Gym Test tells us that Tulip and Dendra are childhood friends but it would have been nice to see them interact or maybe have some more exposition dialogue about that somewhere else idk

Nemona as a rival IS a bit boring but i feel that’s because the Victory Road “storyline” really doesn’t have any "plot" for her to shine, it’s just basically has her repeat the exact same dialogue every time you challenge a gym. But it sucks because they could definitely have worked that better, because you see the potential of her character in the final storyline when she’s bantering with the other two and in her post-game dialogue.

Like, I love that she's actually just a huge dumbass with a hyperfixation for battles that wants to be able to share her passion with others but everyone else is too intimidated by her and thinks she’s just some “gifted” champion that they can’t measure to, and meanwhile she’s frustrated that people feel this way because she’s not special at all, she just worked hard for something she loved and she loves seeing others doing the same, but now all of a sudden because she has this title everyone treats her like she’s too good for them

And THAT is the reason why she is so ectastic to find someone like the Player who doesn’t back down from her. But they don’t show this side of her AT ALL until the post-game pretty much. So she just comes across as generic cheerful rival and it gets repetitive.

Also love how in the beginning of the game we see that she lives in a big ass mansion full of servants and the game just never makes any mention of that and then in the very end they just casually mention that she’s the daughter of Pokemon Steve Jobs

ARVEN..... MY BOY ARVEN.....

ok uh I’m tired now so this will be short. Like pretty much everyone else the minute Arven said his dog was sick I was immediately 100% more invested in this story. That final cutscene when Mabosstiff is fully healed got me genuinely teary-eyed. He was just so happy......

I don’t have much to say except Arven is the best character in the game and I loved him so much more than I expected. Titan battles were fine tho I wish there was more to them than basically just running around after them, like some more elaborate puzzles to find them and all.

Anyways, by the end of the game I really loved all 3 rivals and was sold on their lil friend group. And this game has definitely become one of my top favorites up there with B/W and Su/Mo. In general this game gives me some similar vibes to Sun&Moon, specially in regards to the subtle character writing which I love

 Ok SO I made something here. It’s an Ask game/list of Geeky fandom questions, (Stuff like Star Wars, Star Trek, some cartoons etc). I made it with a friend of mine for us to circulate on FB. Even though I’m not sure if I have any Geeky Fandom friends or followers I thought I would share it here. I mean I know some of yall are into a few of these but still.

Avatar: Pick an Element to Bend and Why? Earth Bender. Be able to Blind bending but not metal bending. Star Wars: Jedi, Sith, Or Grey Order, (fan made)? Grey Order. Both Jedi and Sith are too rigid. The Grey Order is about Balancing the Dark and Light sides of the Force. Star Wars: Light Saber color? Green. Star Trek: Pick and Alien Race to be. Bajoran. They always seemed cool. I liked the spiritual aspect of their culture. Though being a Founder could be cool. Harry Potter: Hogwarts/Illvermorny House? Hufflepuff and Pukwudgie. Video Game/Movie/Book universe to inhabit? VG – Skyrim, Orc Dragonborn. M. Avatar, Na’vi B. Lord of the Rings, Hobbit. Mythical Creature to have as a companion? Dragon. But like a small one, Chihuahua size. Pokémon to have as a companion? Alolan Raichu. Electric and Psychic are two of my favorite types and Raichu has always been my favorite. Dr. Who: Doctor or Companion? Companion. Super Power you'd love to have but couldn't be trusted with? Professor X/Jean Grey style telepathy. I’d start out using to help mental patients or people with PTSS or other TBI. Hope this doesn't seem annoying, netfic :'p but I kinda need some fandom advice. What could I do, when I'm starting to feel like there's no drive to *be* in fandom? Like, I could like the fan art, watch a few meme clips of the show and move on, and the media IS interesting by my standards, but I've stopped feeling like "oh, maybe I could write tons of fic about this!" And the general hyperfixation that happens when I like something. Now it's just... Drifting away from fandom. It just doesn't do the same for me. I still love the community and the very, very few people I interact on the regular, but I'm kinda sad that I don't really want to write fanfic, or that I don't really get what people are liking (I've pretty much stopped consuming media due to college, and it's so tiring these days that I can barely sit down and watch without sleeping halfway through). There's also this big *need* to write my own fiction, and it's making me a bit sad because I know it's not to the taste of anyone but me. There's also the fact that I'm VERY weird with the lore so I'm sure no one will get what I'm talking about, so there's that. It feels weird and kinda lonely, not gonna lie.

It kinda feels like I'm outgrowing fandom, for some reason, and it's... Well, I know it makes no sense, because there's people in their 60s doing it, still, it's just that I've recently felt like I'm wasting my time creating stuff. If it's fanfic, then I feel I waste my time with frivolous shit, and if it's original fic, then I feel I waste my time creating stuff no one cares about.

I'm doubting if I should send this as anon or on my main account. Sorry if this seems long-winded, I wanted to vent and I'm sure there's someone out there that may want to have this question answered. Hope you're okay!

No, for real. That’s the only answer that works.

This is a common thing that happens to people in fandom, and they tend to wander away for a while when it does. Only a very few of those people who’ve been in fandom forever were here absolutely consistently. My suggestion is to try to make some geeky friends you can maintain the friendship with even when your specific geek interests diverge.

A lot of my actual fandom activity is with a group of offline people who didn’t share any fandoms with me until we started watching c-dramas together. Solitary pursuits like fandom stats and vidding of random stuff have kept me “in fandom” in long periods where I had no one great love and/or no one shared mine.

This pattern often happens when you have a big and time-consuming life change like going to a new type of school or having a kid or moving and changing jobs. It’s normal. A lot of people randomly find a new great fannish love a few years down the line and are sucked back in.

Warnings: Fluff? Crack? A dramatic fanfic within a fanfic that I got carried away with haha.

A/N: This is kind of ridiculous, but I had fun with it! Also, I’ve never actually seen GoT but it seemed like a reasonable reference from what I’ve heard about it.

“Hey, look who I found!” Sam’s voice echoed through the War Room.

Dean glanced at you from across the table in the library, sharing your surprised expression as you both pushed your chairs away and stood. 

“‘Sup, bitches?” Charlie grinned, making her way up the steps toward you.

“Hey! We were expecting you guys to come in through the main door. We’ve been keeping an ear out.”

Charlie stepped into your outstretched arms and pulled you into a tight hug. “It was a spur of the moment decision, but I decided to stick around a day or two longer than planned! Sam said I could go ahead and park in the garage.”

She let go of you and turned to give Dean a hug too. He smiled softly with a look that was uniquely reserved for her, cradling the back of her head while she pressed her cheek against his.

“Good to see you, Charlie. You know you’re always welcome to stay as long as you want.”

An involuntary smile crept onto your face as you watched them. You couldn’t help the way your heart swelled at the low rumble in his voice when he said her name. There was an undeniable protectiveness in his tone when he spoke to her--the sister he’d never wanted, as he affectionately called her.

When you shifted your attention to her, you noticed she was watching you. Before you could decipher the knowing glint in her eye, she suddenly twisted out of his arms and glanced back and forth between you and Dean. She began swinging her arms awkwardly before opting to cross them over her chest.

“You okay?” Dean asked, furrowing his brow.

“Yeah! Of course...Totes chill...cooler than a pack of peppermints.” She bobbed her head and flashed a nervous smile, twisting her hair around her finger as she struggled to act nonchalant. “It’s just that I remembered something. A story I read a while back--completely random. Totally unrelated to anything--I mean, now I’m starting to ramble. Hah! So how’ve you guys been? Still saving the world from evil sons-of-bitches?” 

“Uh, yeah…” Sam answered, scrunching his eyebrows together. “We stay busy.”

“So what’s on the agenda tonight?” you piped up, changing the subject.

You were hoping to avoid swapping monster stories for a night. Charlie typically assumed the role of introducing you to popular and noteworthy fandoms during her visits to the bunker and, even if the boys weren’t as vocal, the three of you appreciated her knowledge of all things geeky and nerdy. 

“I was thinking Marvel. Y/N, you’re obviously well-versed in the MCU because of your obsession with Steve Rogers--and, you know, clearly you’ve got a thing for the strong, righteous, self-sacrificing hero type. Dean, you could stand to branch out from the Batman references and, Sam, you’ve got this whole Thor kind of vibe going on.”

While Sam and Dean began teasing each other and arguing over “Batman versus Thor,” you gaped at Charlie, wondering what she’d meant by her remark about you having a “type.” You couldn’t help feeling like she was trying to insinuate something, but you shrugged it off and decided maybe it was all in your head.

After getting Charlie settled into one of the extra bedrooms, the four of you settled into the Dean Cave and agreed to start with the first Captain America movie. 

Last Christmas, you and Sam had teamed up to surprise Dean with a couch for the Dean Cave. He had originally only had two La-Z-boy recliners and you’d found him fast asleep in the stiff old chairs on more than one occasion. Dean had been over the moon about the extra seating and the three of you had rearranged the furniture so the recliners were angled toward the tv on either side of the couch.

“Dibs on this side of the couch!” Charlie said, diving toward the furthest end from the door.

Although it was subtle, you knew there was still something off about the way Charlie studied all of you. There was definitely something on her mind she was trying to keep hidden from all of you.

“You know, we should probably have some snacks,” you said slowly. “Charlie, you want to come help me grab some stuff from the kitchen?”

“But I’m already comfy in my spot.” She frowned, wiggling her hips to make a point of sinking deeper into the spot she’d claimed on the couch. “Why don’t you have Dean help you?”

When you narrowed your eyes suspiciously, Sam cleared his throat. “Dean, why don’t I help you grab some snacks while Y/N and Charlie...catch up, er, whatever…”

You heard the boys leave the room and waited until their footsteps faded down the hall before you started interrogating her.

“Alright, Charlie--what the hell is going on with you?”

“I don’t know what you're talking about,” she muttered, scrolling through her phone.

“Bull. We lie for a living and I know there’s something you’re not telling us. So spill.”

“Fine,” she sighed. “Okay, so remember the Supernatural books by Carver Edlund?”

“Yeah…”

“The series obviously kind of had a cult following when it was in print, right? Well ever since the unpublished works got uploaded, the following has really taken off. Every once in a while a new one still pops up and the fans love them. And you’re in them now too!”

“I’m...what?”

“I mean it’s just insane and totally got sucked into it too. It’s brought on this whole new wave of fanfiction--”

“What’s fanfiction?” you cut in, struggling to keep up.

“It’s fiction made by the fans about the series. Sometimes they put themselves in the stories and write about working cases and fighting monsters with you guys--”

“Why would anyone want to pretend to do this crap with their lives?”

She stared at you for a moment and frowned. “Because you guys are heroes. I mean, yeah, there’s the whole depressing side of monsters and death and trauma and world-ending apocalypses--but you guys save people. You go on these exciting adventures of good versus evil and a lot of times you win. You save people. The fans really look up to all of you.”

Your gaze fell to the floor as you let her words sink in, but she didn’t give you long before she was rambling again.

“But that’s not even the best part! Everyone ships different OTPs--” she paused, noticing your puzzled expression “--uh, one true pairing… So everyone has a favorite couple they think are soulmates and belong together. There’s stories about Sam with Eileen or Jess, Dean with different people--you get the gist. Sometimes they even make up characters or do these ‘reader inserts’ and imagine themselves with the boys or you but, hands down, everyone’s favorite couple they want to end up together is you and Dean.”

“...what?” 

Your eyes grew wide. It was hard enough to wrap your mind around the fact that strangers who didn’t know you were a real person were reading about your life, but learning they imagined you in different relationships? You’d never admit it out loud, but had it bad for Dean. And hearing you weren’t the only one that wanted the two of you together...

“I’ve gone deep into the fic and I can’t believe I didn’t see it sooner!” Charlie shook you from your thoughts. “You and Dean are perfect for each other. For serious. I usually stick to the fluffy stuff because, you know, your entire life is kind of angsty and I don’t like to read about you guys being in pain or, like, dying...again. Although I definitely have to admit I kind of stumbled into some of the smutty stuff and, wow, that was something else.”

You opened your mouth to ask more questions, but she kept rolling.

“Right, you probably don’t know what that means either. Fluff is the cute stuff that gives us all feels, angst is kind of just what it sounds like, and smut is, well...the sexy stuff.”

“You mean people out there in the world write about me and Dean…”

“Going at it like an episode of Game of Thrones? Oh yeah,” she responded, unlocking her phone. “Here. Here’s an example.”

Swallowing audibly, you took a seat next to her on the couch as she extended her phone toward you. Gnawing your bottom lip, you began reading the words on the screen:

Y/N took a deep breath, holding it in briefly before she exhaled and began walking toward Dean’s room. Ever since they returned from the hunt, Dean had hidden himself away in his room--no doubt blaming himself for everything that had gone wrong.

When she arrived at his door, she raised her hand to knock. She hesitated, almost retreating at the thought of him turning her away, but she had to try. She had to get through to him somehow.

She rapped her knuckles on the raw umber barrier and opened the door of Room 11 before he could tell her to go away. 

She spotted him leaning over the sink, staring at his reflection in the medicine cabinet on the wall. His jade eyes flickered to where she stood in the doorway, their reflection somewhat distorted by cracks that spiderwebbed from where he had struck the mirror.

Her heart seemed to drop into her stomach as she imagined him lashing out, knowing he punched the mirror because he hated the reflection staring back at him. Knowing he always carried the weight of the world on his shoulders when he didn’t need to.

Y/N carefully shut the door and locked it behind her--the click of the deadbolt deafening in the silence. Her eyes never left Dean, who refused to turn and face her. She inched toward him, closing the distance until she could reach out and touch him. Gently placing her hand on his shoulder, she guided him to turn away from the mirror. Still, he refused to meet her eyes.

“Dean…” she breathed, voice barely above a whisper as she cupped his face in her hands. “It’s not your fault.”

He squeezed his eyes closed, face contorting with grief and guilt. The ghosts of his past refused to let him go, but she was determined to make him believe that he was worthy, no matter the cost.

Curling a finger beneath his chin, she tilted his head up, waiting patiently for him to meet her gaze. When his dark green orbs finally met hers, she was surprised to see that they were full of longing and desire. They flickered to her lips, making her breath tremble under the intensity of his gaze. Time seemed to slow until it froze altogether.

Anticipation hung heavy in the air as they both struggled against their desire to maintain the friendship they’d always had and the desperate need to finally cross that line. To succumb to the magnetic pull that had always been evident between the two of them.

Dean swallowed thickly before suddenly rushing forward, crashing his lips to Y/N’s as he pulled her into a searing kiss. He wrapped his strong arms around her, trapping her to his chest, afraid it was all a dream and she would soon disappear. But she gladly melted into his embrace, feeling like she was finally returning home, to a place she’d spent her life searching for.

A moan slipped past her lips as he walked her backward, pressing her up against the wall. She gasped, feeling his--

“The snacks have arrived!”

You jumped in surprise, a small gasp of surprise escaping as the boys appeared with armloads of snacks. Confusion and worry painted Dean’s face as he surveyed your flustered expression. Between his scrutinizing gaze and the content you’d practically been caught reading, your cheeks grew warm. 

“Did I miss something?” Dean asked.

“Nope,” you responded much too quickly.

Charlie’s phone had fallen into your lap and, when she began cackling, you whipped your head in her direction and flung the phone at her thigh. You grimaced and the two of you had your own silent conversation as the boys spread the food across the bar Dean had built on the far wall.

“I was just telling Y/N how pumped I am about seeing my favorite OTP tonight,” she giggled.

“Your...what?”

Dean’s arm brushed yours as he plopped down on the other side of you. The accidental contact sent a wave of chills over your skin, making you shudder. You could feel his eyes on you again, but you refused to look at him.

“Oh, I’m so going down with this ship,” Charlie whispered under her breath before continuing in a louder voice. “Nothing--nevermind! Don’t mind me, just thinking out loud...”

“It says here an OTP means...one true pairing?” Your eyes grew wide as you looked to where Sam was reading his phone from where he sat in one of the recliners. “So, uh, ‘in the fandom realm, OTP refers to the coupling of characters--usually from the sci-fi or fantasy genres--by fans who think they make a great romantic duo and envision their lives together and share their imaginings with other fans.’”*

Charlie doubled over, beside herself with laughter. With your lips pressed into a firm line, you glanced at the boys to gauge their reactions. You knew there was no way they could possibly know what you and Charlie had been talking about, but that didn’t stop you from worrying about what Dean might think if he ever found out about the feelings you harbored for him. 

“So...you’re looking forward to Cap and his girl in the movie? I’m so freaking confused,” Dean grumbled.

“Yeah…” Sam agreed, making his way to the tv. “I’m just, uh...I’m gonna start the movie now.” 

“Good idea.” Charlie peered at you out of the corner of her eye. “Plenty of time to read and talk about all those ships later.”

Although you glared at her, trying to hide your amusement, nothing could deter the smug smile etched upon her face. As Sam turned the lights off and you settled in for another relaxing night with your favorite people, one thing was certain:

You were definitely going to have to take another look at that fanfiction.

Shadowhunters

Most YA lovers know The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. It came in the late 2000s which was basically the time of the YA revolution, featured a host of interesting characters, and was set in an urban fantasy world with warlocks, vampires, werewolves, seelies, demons, and Shadowhunters. Cassandra launched a whole universe with this first series. She later wrote The Infernal Devices trilogy, The Last Hours trilogy, The Eldest Curses trilogy, The Dark Artifices, and a few random spin off novellas/anthologies all set in the Shadowhunters universe.

I think I read the entirety of TMI when I was eleven, maybe ten, and I remember little else besides the fact that I loved it. I have so many books on my TBR list that when I tried to read the series again to fully comprehend it I only got to City of Ashes before Carry On caught my attention. I had watched the movie with my mother in maybe 2017 and started the tv show in 2018. However I similarly got drawn away from the Shadowhunters show. Recently I returned to it and I. LOVE. IT. I know it’s very different from the books, but I love it so much.

Katherine McNamara is fantastic as Clary. I love Kat, she seems like an amazing person and I love her in everything I’ve seen her in. Dominic Sherwood is a great Jace and besides his very unnatural looking blond hair, he is exactly as I imagined Jace Wayland-Lightwood-Morgenstern-Herondale to look like. Alberto Rosende’s Simon may turn into a vampire prematurely but his geeky ways are accurate as all hell and he delivers every line to comedic perfection. Emeraude Toubia looks just like I imagined Izzy! She smart as hell, kicks ass, and does it all in heels. Isaiah Mustafa is not at all like I initially imagined Luke. I knew right off the bat that Luke was going to be a wolf so I imagined him as a more scraggily and lanky Remus Lupin esque figure, but now I can’t picture him any other way. I knew Harry Shum Jr from Glee but he absolutely slayed it as Magnus! And Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood is my favorite casting. Alec is my favorite character and I love Matthew’s portrayal so freaking much!!!

I’m on episode two of season three and am in that spot all fangirls know where I want to carry on with the story so bad, but I also don’t want to finish it so I’m procrastinating. I’m devastated that the #saveshadowhunters petition didn’t work especially since even when I wasn’t watching the show I knew of it. The fandom was so clearly still invested in seeing the story progress and crushed by the fact that the show was canceled despite their best efforts.

Jaskier studied for four years at Oxenfurt University, a renowned higher education facility, and graduated with the highest honors and a job as a professor which he held for a year before heading out into the world. So even though it might not seem like it with his witty and almost childlike personality, he is extremely intelligent.

He’s a bard who writes songs about the adventures he has the pleasure of tagging along to, as well as a lot of poems, so he’s bound to have an interest in reading, and culture and languages, as well, which is why I think you would go so well together.

I can’t think of anyone in the Witcher universe who doesn’t like to drink, but speaking of culture, I feel like Jaskier is more cultured in general and would therefore enjoy learning about the production-process and get involved in your interest of wine-making.

He’s very outgoing and flirtatious so you would never have to worry about taking the first step, seeing as he most definitely would be the one to do so, but he’s also kind and respectful and wouldn’t make you do anything in public that you’re not comfortable with.

Jaskier is the literal embodiment of everything geeky and nerdy and I feel like opening up to him would be really easy and comfortable because he just has such a light, unproblematic and welcoming energy. He’s accepting of people of all kinds and he loves to have fun and make the people he’s in company of join in, so you wouldn’t be left alone with your worrying thoughts for as much as a minute if you were with him. You wouldn’t know how to do anything other than laugh.

Moving on from his good qualities to his bad ones, the first thing on the list would be that he sometimes talks a bit too much, and close in second the fact that he’s not a very strong fighter. He gets himself into sticky situations but can rarely get himself out of them without the assistance of Geralt, so the fact that you have a bit of spunk and experience in the kickboxing-area would be useful when Geralt isn’t around as I think you’d have a much bigger chance of taking someone on than Jaskier.

He’s a lover (granted, an annoying one, but still), not a fighter.

He would definitely encourage you rather than hold you back if you wanted to make a fashionable statement in protest after being critiqued (Not before attempting to stand up for you. Bill is a high academic achiever, very knowledgeable in many areas and always happy to learn more, so he’d take much interest in learning about the muggle cultures and languages you know, as well as together discovering and learning about completely new ones.

He’s a family man, just very domestic in general, so cooking together would be a very big and intimate quality time thing for the two of you. He’d really put in the time and work for it and seriously talk about trying new recipes.

He, just like Jaskier, would not hold you back or be bothered if you showed yourself off, whether it be to protest after someone critiqued you, or just because you want to. He’s very secure in himself. He knows where the two of you stand and would support you no matter what rather than try to control you and hold you back.

Knowing him, he wouldn’t even try to step in to defend you because he would know more than well that you’re capable of taking care of yourself. If it got violent or if someone badmouthed you when you weren’t present, however, that would be a completely different story.

He’s a man that appreciates passion so seeing his partner get passionate about something they love would be one of the greatest things to him. Watching you participate in heated debates as well as read would be two of his favourite things. He’d just smile while watching you, and he’d be so supportive about your kickboxing, too. Not to mention impressed and proud.

He’s very caring, understanding and respectful, and being the oldest of seven children, he’s built up a really strong patience. He would have no problem with you taking a bit of time to open up to him and/or to feel comfortable showing physical affection, whether it be behind closed doors or in public. He would, however, make sure that you knew that he was okay with public displays of affection and that the only thing that matters are the two of you, not anyone else, in an attempt to ease your worry about what he or other people would think.

Bill is a great dancer and would jump at any chance he got to dance with you, not only because it’s something you really enjoy, but also because dancing is so intimate and personal. Couples who frequently dance together have an entirely different level of love, in my opinion, and it would really be something that would strengthen your connection a lot.

Out of the entire Weasley bunch, he’s definitely the most cultured and laid-back sibling. Going out to learn about wines would be a perfect date-activity and he’d be super interested in every single detail. Not only because he would want to learn about your interest, but also because he’d be interested in general. But like I already mentioned, he would just love seeing you in your passionate state so watching you enjoy yourself would be his favourite part of the whole experience.

She’s been through a lot and with trauma - understanding and patience toward other people almost always comes naturally. So she would be really supportive of you wanting to take things slow, but welcome you with open arms when you were ready to make progress in your relationship.

She doesn’t find PDA to be super important, anyway. She cares more about what happens behind closed doors, between the two of you, and not the two of you and the rest of the world.

When it comes to opening up, she wouldn’t be able to open up all at once, either. Like I already mentioned, she’s been through hell and back and has a lot of baggage. For a lot of things, she would need a lot of time before feeling ready to tell, and some things, she wouldn’t want to tell you or anyone else at all. Ever. So she would be very understanding.

She definitely doesn’t seem like the type to dance and she’d probably directly protest to the idea if the subject was brought up by someone else, but with the right person I don’t think she’d mind at all. She wouldn’t love it to a start, but it would grow on her because she does find interest in her loved ones’ interests and it would make her happy to see you having fun. 

It’s no mystery that she likes to drink. She usually just gulps down anything she can get her hands on, but she would be very interested in seeing how it’s made. Knowing her, she’d probably take notes to be able to build her own wine-making-cellar and eventually get more into it than you are.

You seem like a very bright and positive person judging by your exciting interests and some of that energy would do Valkyrie good!

Number of followers: Damn I have like 460. I truly don’t know how I accumulated that many people over time. Then again I’m sure I have a lot of ghost followers.

Amount of sleep I got: Oof, probably... 7 or 8 hours? Which is good but I go to bed late and wake up at around 10 or 11, so it isn’t the best pattern.
