Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

random and new interesting detail from the Rapture novel, from a conversation between Simon Wales and Sofia Lamb when he finds a way to visit her after her arrest in 1955:

Given the connotations that "conditioning" has in BioShock, you'd think this was a plot hiccup referring to Little Sister conditioning, but Little Sisters aren't quite a thing yet in 1955 and hasn't much to do with "her true mission deep inside her" (yet). So what are they referring to?

School.

Ryan only gives a thought for Eleanor after Lamb's arrest in that she might be useful against Lamb, and since Lamb has been trying to isolate and protect Eleanor's mind from Rapture beyond the cult, the anything and everything taught to Eleanor that isn't part of her collectivist ideals is conditioning. He's probably forcing Grace to let Eleanor go to school to learn how to be a good objectivist so he can rub it in Lamb's face that her child is now part of HIS cult. It's like when Hook was trying to brainwash Peter's children into being pirates in the movie Hook (1991).

So, while in Grace's care for 2 years, Eleanor had to go to school and learn from Ryan the Lion videos she didn't understand and her participation in class was at most asking if Rapture's self-interest rules meant she was allowed to say "fuck" probably.

I wasn't originally interested in going to see the movie (I'm not a big fan of sequels) but after seeing the trailer for it on Facebook reels one time too many I decided to check it out, and I'm glad I did! 😊 My parents and I went to see it a couple of days ago and it's the first time I've been to a theater in about 7 years or so - my health never really allowed it. But even though I still wasn't feeling the best it was a great experience, if not a bit nostalgic. The theater reminded me a bit of the theater I always went to growing up and it just made me long for that time. The screen area itself was great! The seats were really big and leather and they reclined back, so I got to lay back and watch the movie, which I loved. It's probably the first time I liked a sequel more than the first movie. I actually got a bit teary eyed. It definitely made me take a bit of a step back and consider my own emotions.
