Also, hekcin inspired to drop some ROTBTD fanart and comic since i’ve seen some art of it floating around, I think its currently one or two artists that are posting stuff regularly, but its reviving the flame of this fandom in my heart. So if you know who you are (cuz i’m bad at remembering names) I thank you with ever fiber of my soul.

So I have loved the whole ROTBTD since high school, but as I have mentioned before, I'm more of a lurker in fandoms than a participant. 

anyway, this little twist came about when I saw the end of HTTYD 3 and how cute the kids are! I was so happy that Astrid and Hiccup became parents it got me wondering about how they’d handle the plot of ROTBTD with no dragons and kids! 

then the idea went further and I was like “awe, what if Jack, Raps and Mari are all between 16 and 18.” Having the interactions of the dragon riders and this group of misfits would be comedic in itself. 

I then thought, would Hiccup and Astrid, while trying help aid the kids in the plot, be accidentally parenting them also? It made me laugh to think about, but it also gave me so many wholesome family moments. 

I then went “how would they all come together? how they know where to go?” and who better than to add some extra spiritual mumbo-jumbo than Elsa herself, I figured her having a very vivid nightmare about a darkness taking over, and having the people in the dream defeating the evil would be a great start. kinda of like the spirits gave her a warning. 

it would be funny for a good while, having adventures and wholesome bonding moments. this whole story is about being friends and having a bond that makes you part of the family. The darker side of things I haven’t really thought about since I’ve been too hyper focused on humor.
