Atelier Manassé (1922–1938) ~ Actress Thyra Winge, ca. 1925 | src Ostlicht
Although the reverse labels the sitter as “Thyra Winge” this is most likely a pseudonym for the Hungarian actress and dancer Bea Egerváry (b. 1916, date of death unknown). Egerváry had studied ballet under Emília Nirschy (1889-1976) in 1926, before starting her prolific career dancing and acting in Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Paris and Rome throughout the late 1920s and 1930s. In 1946, she moved permanently to Berlin, after which little is known about her life. (text quoted from sisters of the lens)
