I cannot believe I picked up a het ship from this YS game. Het ships are usually so bland and boring I can't stand them. But to be fair it's just Ike/Soren taken to exciting new heights. Like what if Elincia was evil and burned Ike at the stake after the war and Soren went "oh hell naw" and proceeded to pick up alchemy and act out a real-life fix-it fic straight out of the Elrics' dreams.

So, this is Rosvita.

I will write a little about her and, in principle, about the plot of the "hospital" that I have at the moment.

Rosvita is the head physician of the hospital, and also, due to the lack of employees, performs the duties of a midwife. Calm, responsible and attentive to her subordinates, she tries to listen to their problems and desires. To everyone except William, whom she hired at the hospital only because of her husband Henry. He had been friends with him since high school and, not wanting to stop communicating with him (Wil was Henry's only friend), offered William a job at a hospital.

At the time of the employment of these two, the young Rosvita, who had only recently completed her studies, was put in charge of the hospital. At first, the girl didn't pay attention to the guys, but then, after a while, she started dating Henry. However, seeing William's not entirely normal behavior, the girl began to make attempts to fire her beloved's friend, thereby trying to protect herself and Henry from his antics. But Henry stopped her every time, convincing her that everything was fine with William.

After Charlie was born, all the strength and attention were already given to her, so for a while she left Henry's friend alone and stopped noticing him.

Invido la gente che sa spegnere il cervello

Mi è stato detto più volte che sto troppo tempo con le cuffiette, e probabilmente è vero. Praticamente, se non sto su internet o a leggere qualcosa, ho sempre qualcosa da ascoltare, tipicamente podcast o audiolibri.

Questo perché se faccio qualcosa di manuale, che non lascia la mente attiva come la lettura, ad esempio, preferisco stare con le cuffie. Perché il mio cervello non si spegne.

So di gente che dice di non pensare a niente in certi momenti, e io li invidio tantissimo. So di gente che pensa in continuazione a questo o a quel problema, alla soluzione migliore per un dato compito, a come organizzare la cena, a cosa c'è intorno a lei... insomma, pensa. Pensa normalmente, dico.

Io no. Io canto. E purtroppo canto canzoni

che spesso non conosco per intero

Ad esempio, stamattina ho fatto la prova di un percorso di Nordic per un'uscita che abbiamo in programma domenica della settimana prossima. Non ho messo le cuffiette perché volevo sentire il telefono che mi dava indicazioni su dove andare, seguendo un percorso già segnato, e perché dubitavo che la batteria delle cuffiette sarebbe durata abbastanza da reggere per tutto il giro.

Quindi stavo facendo Nordic, l'ho fatto per circa due ore e mezza, e intorno a me avevo qualche rara persona, alberi, fiumi, montagne, insetti, rumore di bosco per la maggior parte del tempo. Bellissimo.

E invece no

La prima canzone che ricordo di aver cantato (sempre nella mia mente, mai a voce alta, non mi serve) è I Watussi. E non dall'inizio alla fine, ma per almeno 40 minuti il mio cervello è andato in loop su noi siamo quelli che all'equatore vediamo per primi la luce del sole noi siamo i Watussi. QUARANTA MINUTI DI QUELLA FRASE. Perché i Watussi e perché quella frase? Non lo so. Forse ho letto wafer su un incarto gettato a terra. Quando me ne sono accorto (sì, me ne devo accorgere) ho cercato di scacciare la canzone pensando a qualcos'altro, magari un filino più moderno. Ho pensato Pausini, Baglioni e poi... BAM, di nuovo i Watussi. E di nuovo loop, stavolta almeno cantavo un po' di più e non solo quella riga.

Poi sono arrivati i Backstreet Boys. Eh già. You are my fire... e basta, perché conosco davvero poche parole di quella canzone! E anche qui, loop finché... boh, è arrivata

Due ore e mezza di camminata dopo, arrivo alla macchina stanco fisicamente e devastato mentalmente, con un repertorio completo di cinque o sei canzoni. Cinque o sei pezzi di canzoni ripetuti all'infinito.

E la mia vita è sempre così. Se monto un mobile d'Ikea fischietto o canto, e saranno sempre le stesse note e le stesse parole finché non ho finito. Se sto facendo un lavoro in cui la testa non è impegnata ho la radio che parte e non la posso fermare.

Quindi, come da titolo, invido la gente che sa spegnere il cervello.

Hanna. Best most loyal friend ever. In a series full of bitches with hangups about their births, their families, and their legacies, she's the commoner daughter of an innkeeper here to do her job without bitching or moaning or getting unjustifiably maudlin about hardship. Dare I say best girl

high tier:

Liath. I like the tension between how everyone else sees her which is "wicked sorceress whose name is a curse" and her own internal narrative which is "woman who has not gotten a break since her 16th birthday." I've genuinely found her story about recovering from trauma and reclaiming her life from her abuser very compelling even if book 1 could get terribly difficult to listen to because of it.

Alain. Yeah he's kind of the world's most average guy in his thought process, maybe kinder and more open minded than average, but that plays well when he's routinely getting put in the weirdest situations imaginable.

mid tier:

Zacharias. He's got a unique outlook and I find his drive to examine the fantastic world around him critically very interesting as well as the very human shortcomings he possesses, but it just hasn't fully manifested into a compelling arc yet. Kansi-a-lari ditched him and he hasn't had an interesting chapter since.

Strongarm. I dunno man it's cool to see the stone children's culture through his point of view but his chapters are so emotionally dry and their pace has been glacial.

Anna. Sort of like Zacharias, her character arc just hasn't quite crystallized into something really compelling yet.

low tier:

Rosvita. Frustrating because at times she's a scholar who feels drawn to the occult, who wants to puzzle out the mysteries she encounters, while at (most) other times she's a scholar stuck with the boring-to-read work of travelling with the court and writing a history.

Sanglant. Brother I get you have abandonment issues but it seems like that's all you can think about some days. Like you saw your wife get raptured! she didn't leave you and you know it! consider perhaps that someone who last appeared to you as a frantic spirit may perhaps be dealing with some shit right now! and who names a baby Blessing???

trash tier:

Ivar. repressor bisexual who's too stuck up on a girl who admitted she couldn't love him back and only ever considered eloping if it offered her safety to appreciate the fact that the guy everyone agrees is the pretties boy in the land loves you and is dtf nightly... stumbling unconscientiously through a burgenoning heretical movement kicked off by an insane woman... kys my man

Continuando con su objetivo inicial, de presentarlo como un proyecto integral en el que, además de mostrar películas que ayuden a concientizar sobre nuestro papel frente a los animales, también se provea de espacios para otras actividades relacionadas, con el cuidado y respeto a los animales, el Pet Film Festival Tepoztlán inicia su nueva etapa y se transforma en Fauna Tepoztlán Animal Festival. Como una manera de cerrar esta primera etapa, desde el 23 y hasta el 29 de agosto, en la plataforma filminlatino.mx se exhiben los largometrajes ganadores del Premio Domingo, que otorga el festival; además de hacer lo propio con los cortometrajes nacionales que fueron proyectados en la reciente edición, realizada en el municipio del festival, Tepoztlán, Morelos. “Así estamos concluyendo una primera etapa del proyecto y ahora tendremos una transformación, que va más allá de cambiar el nombre al festival; sino que ahora seremos más integrales”, dijo Michael Ramos-Araizaga, director del Pet Film Festival Tepoztlán, ahora llamado Fauna Tepoztlán Animal Festival. “Además de cine, seremos contaremos con más actividades, entre ellas conversatorios, talleres y la realización de actividades que involucren a todo el reino animal, para generar una cultura de valorización y respeto para todos los animales en general, quitando el estigma de verlos sólo como mascotas”, agregó. La convocatoria para recibir materiales y propuestas para el Fauna Tepoztlán Animal Festival, que estará dedicado a la vida marina, se abrirá en septiembre próximo y el festival se llevará a cabo en el mes de marzo de 2022; y recibiremos cortos y largometrajes, además de documentales y demás propuestas que tengan como finalidad la promoción del respeto a los animales. En su tiempo de existencia, el Pet Film Festival Tepoztlán se consolidó como un escaparate único en su tipo. En México no existe otro festival de cine dedicado en exclusiva al tema, logrando llamar la atención de muchas personas de México y el extranjero; por lo que ahora, como Fauna Tepoztlán Animal Festival, las expectativas de impacto son muy intensas. Para la realización de esta nueva etapa, el Fauna Tepoztlán Animal Festival seguirá contando con el apoyo del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE); además del H. Ayuntamiento de Tepoztlán, que han sido más que benéficos para la realización del festival. De igual manera, se están buscando empresas y amigos del festival, para unir causas y obtener patrocinios para una mejor realización del Fauna Tepoztlán Animal Festival.
