Lonely by Pete Rowbottom, Wigan, UK Via Flickr: One from the back end of last year, another sunrise trip to the Lakes, 0730 in the morning (far better than current sunrise time...) sunrise as such didn't happen but this location was just about perfect weather wise, glow of the first light illuminating the dense fog/mist and seperating the lone tree from its background in the still lake, this was about the last of the Autumn colours. I was there again last week and the tree is looking pretty gnarly and sparse... hello saw ur ask for help about oscar characters for 50s-80s and just my thoughts. for one, the list is genuinely kind of short, and really what i have complied for your options is:

peter malkin (operation finale) (50s/60s)

llewyn davis (inside llewyn davis) (60s)

abel morales (a most violent year) (80s)

rydal keener (two faces of january) (60s)

bud cooper (suburbicon) (50s)

nick wasicsko (show me a hero) (late 80s/early 90s)

i know you have done quite a few llewyn, abel, and rydal ones, but imo they are your safest bets. bud might be hard because he’s in maybe like 5-10 minutes of that long and quite frankly boring film. nick i feel like is murky waters because he was very much a real person who in retrospect, did not die that long ago. so that depends on your feelings about it plus he is pushing the bounds of your ask. personally, i would absolutely *not* recommend peter considering what is currently going on in the world. if you haven’t seen the movie, long story short he plays an isr*eli m*ssad agent and i just feel like that is in poor taste. others might disagree with me but that is my opinion.

a bit of a stretch is you might be able to do blue jones from sucker punch since he kind of exists outside of time in a way, but i feel like that’s cheating + there’s only so many variations of what to do with that character.

does this help you choose one? probably not. but i thought it might help to show you what the options might be; and just looking at each to see who might fit best for whatever scenario that anon asked you for. anyways, hope i at least helped a little, have a nice day :3

I’m gonna pick Abel, he suits this list, but again so does Rydal but my heart is choosing Abel, my sugar pie. 🤫

Also for Peter, not related to this topic but damn, I forgot that he was one. I had so many ideas for him but crossing that out of the list, for that solid reason and differently not adding him to this list
