to me it makes perfect sense that when buck comes out to him, eddie doesn’t hesitate for a moment to be supportive. because he loves buck (to the core). so of course he’s gonna be supportive and he’s gonna make sure buck knows that everything is ok.
eddie is a little overwhelmed, he’s taking in a lot of information. he just learned something very important and unexpected about buck and that’s already enough to have him stop and think “oh, really?”. but buck didn’t go on a date with just some guy, did he? he went out with someone who he was also getting close to, and he had no idea. and let’s not forget that eddie was already going through a crisis of his own, which made buck’s confession hit even harder.
out of all these emotions, he choses to focus on the most important one: making sure buck feels safe and loved. accepted. and so he reassures him, he jokes around as he always does and then hugs him. that’s exactly what buck needs and so that’s what he does.
but what happens after that? what happens when eddie actually takes a moment to sit with this information? is he gonna start rethinking his relationship with buck (or even his interactions with tommy)? is he gonna realise that what he and buck have isn’t just a normal friendship? is he gonna wonder if he never saw buck that way because he didn’t think (or he didn’t know) he was an option? what then?
that’s what i wanna know.

the speedrunning of certain arcs this season is certainly an issue (and I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt on this one based on strikes, shortened seasons and the cruise plot taking up like 40% of their resources probably). but I dont necessarily mind them "speedrunning" the bi buck story like the set up was poor for sure but I dont mind the approach of "btw he likes boys too" especially in the context of an ensemble show with so few episodes and also I certainly prefer it to a story that would have made buck a more central focus of this season. I think the issue here is more they speedran bucktommy to the point where Im just like ?? how am I supposed to feel about separate from bi buck. the set up for the first kiss was poor and since then theyve been dating for a month maybe but also he was buck's date to his sisters wedding but also the narrative suggests tommy and buck probably wont last so ??? and really I just want buck to have a bit of romantic development past "im not dating people from calls" (which they didnt even flesh out why dating people from calls is problematic and i think it would be really fun for them to explore how meeting someone on a call can lead to them developing a hero complex about you and sets unfair expectations on a relationship) and "im bi" but to this point they've failed to develop bucktommy to a point where I feel like buck will learn anything from it besides that. I'm willing to wait until the end of the season to see where that ends up but as far as I'm concerned now the only reason tommy is more interesting than marisol is because of how theyre constantly framing the bucktommy narrative around eddie and lou is actually a semi likeable person 😂 also even if this season clearly isnt thoroughly planned out, if it is to get the characters to a starting point for s8 I'm willing to be optimistic then because I think tim has shown with proper planning he can execute really thorough character arcs with satisfying conclusions (maddie and eddie in s2, buck in s4, a lot of the s1 arcs)
(okay now that Ive all typed that Im actually thinking how a really interesting angle for them to take on bucktommy would be to focus on the idealized version of tommy that buck had a crush on (hes so cool / flew them into a hurricane to save their family) and how that + first guy hes dated probably set unfair expectations on their relationship that arent met in reality (and then coming to the conclusion they should break up). basically Im asking 911 to please have buck reflect on his romanticization of his own relationships/love interests. also sorry to buck tommy spec in your inbox Im just waiting for this relationship to be a tiny bit relevant lmaoo)
ok so actually yeah you're so right about how speedrunning bi buck is fine - i think for me it's that in my head the bi buck thing and the bucktommy thing are like, completely entwined in my head so i'm kind of having a hard time separating the speedrun of buck realizing he likes men from buck falling into a relationship with a man. so yes i don't think the realization necessarily needed more but (as always lol) it comes back down to me expecting more out of buck and tommy specifically especially considering the emphasis on how tommy's going to help him like... disentangle his New Identity. which is clearly not happening lmao.
but yes i actually 100% agree with your bucktommy spec actually and as much as i resent buck's cycle of self-improving through various relationships i do think that would be VERY interesting for buck to start thinking about. well. all the things he needs to think about

2016 Snapshots
I went through my laptop and browsed through a series of photos that I have per year. Whenever my phone gets too full (too cheap to buy cloud memory), I upload the meaningful ones on my laptop.
So here are some snapshots from 2016 when I was still working in Japan.

I used a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that time when taking these photos and the quality is really nice.
I'm planning on getting the S23+ this year and the reviews on the phone are quite convincing. Finger-crossed that I can get my hands on it.

SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SMART SCROLL SKIN
SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SMART SCROLL ANDROID
SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SMART SCROLL SERIES
It coincided with a change in Samsung’s hardware strategy as well. The entire look and feel were overhauled to appear more minimal with consistent iconography. The company made substantial changes to its UI with this iteration. The very first version was actually called Samsung Experience 8.0.
SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SMART SCROLL ANDROID
In 2017, Samsung quietly rebranded TouchWiz to Samsung Experience through an Android 7.0 Nougat beta that was released for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The colors were overhauled, a new notification shade was added, new customization options and other features were also provided. TouchWiz 6.0 came out the following year. New UI elements were added for the curved displays introduced with the Galaxy S6 edge. It removed many duplicate features, further cleaned up the UI, added icon shows and used simpler colors for the icons. Samsung went on a cleaning spree with this version. “Nature UX” was dropped when TouchWiz 5.0 was released in 2015 with the Galaxy S6. They brought new features, reduced clutter from the UI and leaned more towards minimalism. In the following years, Samsung would release TouchWiz Nature UX versions 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. It added features like Smart Scroll and made further tweaks to the UI elements. TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 came in 2013 with the Galaxy S4. The color palette was updated to reflect the colors of nature which prominently feature green and blue. S Voice, Samsung’s first voice assistant, was also included in this iteration. It brought several new features like the water ripple effect on the lock screen and Smart Stay.
SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SMART SCROLL SKIN
The custom skin was first rebranded to TouchWiz Nature UX in 2012. TouchWiz 4.0 came in 2011 with the Galaxy S II and featured improved hardware acceleration and multi-touch gestures. Samsung continued to make improvements in subsequent iterations. It retained many of its characteristic interface elements such as the colorful icons and widgets. Some of Samsung’s earliest smartphones, like the 2009 Samsung Solstice, used TouchWiz as their interface.Īndroid support came with TouchWiz 3.0 in 2010 when Samsung launched the first Galaxy S smartphone. It’s often incorrectly deemed to be an operating system even though in reality it was a custom skin. TouchWiz was the first branding that Samsung chose for its custom user interface. Each major change has coincided with a major shift in the company’s smartphone strategy. Samsung has overhauled and rebranded its custom UI multiple times over the past decade. It’s also a great way for Samsung to ensure that its smartphones stand out from the crowd. It enables the company to provide more features to users. Samsung now makes Android-powered smartphones only but it has launched devices in the past that ran on Windows Phone and Symbian operating systems.Ī custom user interface has always been a defining feature of Samsung’s smartphones. It offered flip phones and feature phones but 2010 was when it seriously started competing in the flagship segment.
SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SMART SCROLL SERIES
The company used to make mobile phones before the Galaxy S series as well. After releasing the first Galaxy S smartphone in 2010, it took Samsung less than a decade to establish its dominance in the market. Its flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series have seen an incredible amount of success in a relatively short period of time. Samsung is the largest vendor of Android-powered smartphones in the world.

#Samsung s7 edge smart scroll password
Otherwise it detected everything and I was able to transfer all my data over w/o issue.
#Samsung s7 edge smart scroll password
I had to change my alphanumeric device password on my blackberry before I could continue. Also the smart switch app is limited to numeric phone passwords only. The OTG cable adapter needs to the on the samsung side, not the blackberry side. I couldn't get the wireless method to work, even when I used your method.Īlthough, I found out though that the OTG method does work. Posted via the CrackBerry App for AndroidI tried to migrate my blackberry SE to my s6 using smart switch but had issues.
#Samsung s7 edge smart scroll for android
Posted via the CrackBerry App for Android It's possible the cable could work with a Z30, Leap, Classic, or Passport (all of which do support USB OTG). Although I'm coming from a Q10 which does not support USB OTG. This only works over WiFi for BB10 devices. Update: The images don't appear in this post where they should be.ĪND: Don't use the USB cable. They promised to call me back within 48 hours a week and a half ago! They just basically read from a script and when it didn't work, opened an escalated support ticket for me. NOTE: I had called Samsung when I first tried this and couldn't get past the WiFi connection screen from within the BlackBerry Smart Switch app. But I think this covers the important parts of what you need to get this going. I'm typing this from memory because I forget all the choices of types of data to import. Your tasks will end up in the Galaxy 's Calendar app as Tasks (tap hamburger button in the top left of the app and select tasks). I had a problem with SMS/MMS only showing my side of the conversations I brought over. You'll have some of your BlackBerry settings (including WiFi profiles). What finally worked for me was not checking these off for the Smart Switch run and just moving these manually from my folderson my laptop I had used to sync via BlackBerry Link prior to the switch.Ħ.Run the switch. The process hung when it got to my pictures, videos, and music (I have a lot). This can take a long time! In my case it took over 40 minutes.īut then you'll see the list of items that can be moved over. My initial mistake at this point was quitting after 5 or 10 minutes of waiting. Your BlackBerry is locating all the data that can be transferred. You'll see a screen with a spinning circle. Now that the WiFi connection has been established, open the Smart Switch app on your BlackBerry. NOTE: If you follow their instructions and open the app on your BlackBerry before making the WiFi connection, the app will fail once it tries to create that connection for you.Īt this point, your S7 should show that it's connected to your BlackBerry.ĥ. Once your BlackBerry is connected to that SSID, then open the Smart Switch app on your BlackBerry. Before opening the app on your BlackBerry, open settings / WiFi on your BlackBerry.įind that SSID, select it, and enter the password shown on your S7. You'll see a wireless network SSID on the bottom of the next screen. Select BlackBerry from the options and tap Start.Ĥ. Start Smart Switch on your Galaxy S7 by going into Settings / Backup and Reset / Start Smart Switchģ. Once it is installed, you'll see an icon on your BB10 device for the app.Ģ. Scroll down and look for the BB10 Attachment 396565 section and expand it and follow the directions to sideload Smart Switch to your BB10 device.

Thinking about Cuddy.
House is a genius. I’ve written about how Wilson is equally talented.
But Cuddy is, too.
One of three(?) female deans of medicine in the country. One of the youngest. And every time the spotlight turns onto her, she does things no one else can do.
She has a kid by herself. Wilson points out that a man in her position would have a wife, two nannies AND two assistants. (She tries to hire an assistant and the job is so demanding they quit regularly.)
She consistently gets things for the hospital no one else can get and is the trump card only she can play. In 5 to 9, she gets (I think) 7%, which is far and away better than her opponent, her board, or anyone else but her thought she could get.
In season 1, iirc it’s implied SHE brings in Vogler, and she’s the only person who can stop him when he starts tearing the entire hospital apart to get at House.
In season 3, she ends the nonsense with Tritter.
She’s also the only person who can and will keep House on her team (no one will hire House or Foreman, other than her). And she’s the only person who can wrangle him, canonically (I disagree with canon, but Cameron does hand the reigns back to Cuddy with this exact statement). Moreover, she makes House an ASSET. In 5 to 9, she explains that PPTH is on the cutting edge, which includes their world famous ddx department.
And! Despite the fact that House routinely accuses her of being an administrator and not a doctor anymore, she still successfully treats patients from time to time. She helps ddx the babies in Maternity. She saves her patient’s baby in Fetal Position. In s5 Joy, she clocks that something is wrong with the mom when no one else does, and pushes until the diagnosis is made and saves both their lives. She figures out the diagnosis in Joy to the World at the same time as House, and is so kind and respectful to the folks caring for the baby, yet still makes sure she gives the baby what she needs.
I have to admit that I don’t remember s7-8 well enough to go through those, but it’s clear to everyone that Cuddy is a great doctor. Much like Wilson, she gets dismissed in part bc she gets too emotionally involved. And it’s also clear that no one really understands her work or how good she is at it. Everyone only sees their part, and she has to see all of it and make it all fit together, making sure everyone gets what they need. Her ability to flip between caring and hardass undermines her ability to seem tough, but it’s also necessary. If she couldn’t care, she wouldn’t take such good care of her people or patients. If she couldn’t toughen up, she’d let people walk all over her. It’s a unique style, and not without its pitfalls, but it’s all hers.
And like Wilson, she doesn’t get seen as a genius. In fact, she barely gets acknowledged as smart at all. A lot of her successes come from charisma and social intelligence. And those things often get dismissed in women, especially women who care as deeply and obviously as Cuddy does. The ability to juggle so many things gets dismissed as “basically being well-organized,” and also, no one really SEES what she does. It sometimes takes her a minute, but she reads people like THAT. She figures out and outwits that sociopathic drug dealer. She sees through most of House’s lies. She often settles with plaintiffs because of guilt, but she also often talks them out of suing the hospital in the first place.
Cuddy is just as good, and just as brilliant, at her job as House and Wilson. But she doesn’t get seen as a genius anymore than Wilson does.

Imagine Buddie singing “Under Pressure” as the 706 karaoke song.
1. It’s from the 80s (which fits with their costumes and thinking they’re at an 80s party…though based on the promos, not sure anyone else got that memo lol)
2. It’s a duet (by Freddie Mercury from Queen and David Bowie aka queer icons)
3. Under Pressure is the title of 2x01 aka Eddie’s first episode. It’s also a song used in Buck’s first episode 1x01 (when Bobby gives Buck his job back). Tim Minear also wrote 2x01 and per Oliver interview, Tim chose the karaoke song for 7x06
4. The song was written by Mercury and Bowie after a hectic day of partying….
5. The lyrics are about how the pressure in our lives make us nearly crumble (*cough* Eddie currently *cough*)
6.
“Because love’s such an old-fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves under pressure
Under pressure”
7.
Tumblr media
Can we talk about these knowing troll grins Ryan and Oliver gave when Ryan incorrectly guessed that Under Pressure was a s7 episode….
Just a cracked theory!

what's been bugging me is how some people, especially steddyhands shippers, seem to ignore Stede's complete blind spot that is Ed. I've been rereading some post s1 fix-its, and it's amazing how almost every one of their reunions had Stede blaming Ed for marooning the crew and attempting to kill Lucius (same with ppl's expectation that there would be some sort of physical fight). And then he just. Doesn't.
Stede obviously cares for the crew. A lot. But the moment Ed's well being is in the picture, he becomes hyperfocused on Ed and Ed only. Obviously the crew told him about being marooned, but we don't see him mention that once in his letters. They reunite with Lucius, and yet all Stede talks about is Ed (and his poor portrayal on his wanted posters)- Lucius confesses about Ed throwing him overboard, and all Stede does is question 'why?', because he knows Ed wouldn't just randomly attempt to murder Lucius. The moment Lucius tells him Stede broke Ed, Stede is back to blaming himself, never Ed. He clearly cares about Lucius, because later in the ep, he tries to reconcile with him by giving him 'dating advice' and trying to save him from what happened to him and Ed, but Ed comes first.
We actually see it in s1 too, if only briefly, in s7 when Stede desperately tries to keep Ed abroad and becomes oblivious to the crew's concerns and problems and we get the iconic line "Eat and apple, for God's sake!" Stede cares, but Ed is at the front of his mind and it's hard for him to understand what could be more important.
In s02e03, he gets his ship and the rest of his crew back, but Ed is nowhere. Izzy is literally missing a leg and Stede just tells him to piss off.
And I've seen people questioning why Stede never questioned that, why he never bothered to ask about Izzy's missing toe or back scars or why he didn't care about the leg more. Izzy clearly lies again and tells Stede Ed shot it off because he told Ed he loves him, and yet stede just. Doesn't care.
And i mean, that question is valid. Because people see Stede as someone who's much more caring, more hero-coded. But Stede is far more a romantic hero to Ed than he is your general hero to the rest of the characters. Stede is selfish. Stede is blind-sided. Stede is willing to abandon his morals when it comes to Ed.
I think there are two reasons Stede doesn't question Izzy's Ed-inflicted-injuries, or any other, for that matter. First one is, Stede's blind spot for Ed. Yeah, Izzy got his leg shot off by Ed (not entirely true, but I digress), but there must have been a reason why. Yeah, Izzy got his toes cut off and hand-fed, but Ed had a reason. Stede knows Ed is not violent by default, so he knows something must have prompted him to do that. Is it completely justified? That's a differenr convo about people trying to portray Izzy as a victim rather than someone who kept pushing Ed over the edge until they were both too far.
The second is... Yeah, Stede just doesn't care. Especially about Izzy. Lie it's been pointed out, Stede just thinks izzy is a dick. He misnames him. He's rightuflly mad at him for selling them out to the english. He literally dreams about killing Izzy for that. Stede blames himself for abandoning Ed and everything that happened after (and yes, Ed's actions are Ed's actions, but that's how Stede sees it), but he clearly also blames Izzy for setting them up.
So, Stede sees Izzy's missing leg? Probably deserved that. Back scars, missing toe? Eh, probably deserved that, too, Ed would look absolutely lovely in a braid. Is that morally correct? No, but Stede isn't written to be a moral character. That's what makes him so real, and that's why so many other actors than Rhys would struggle making Stede sympathetic and likeable to the audiences.
That's not to say Stede doesn't see Ed's wrongs. He absolutely does. He just. Doesn't care that much in the end, because his love for all of Ed is that bright, to the point of being absolutely, utterly selfish. DJenkins said it from the beginning; this show is about Ed and Stede's relationship. Stede doesn't question Izzy's injuries bc in the end, it just doesn't matter to him when Ed is in the picture
