It may seem obvious that everyone in the country knows that Donald Trump tried to overturn the election results in 2020 because we all watched him do it live as it was happening. His campaign filed more than 60 lawsuits in various states — as was his right — none of which were found to be meritorious. His minions and accomplices in the Republican Party, both in Washington and around the country, actively tried to help him pressure election officials and persuade local officials to sign on as "alternate electors." I think you'd have to have been in a coma not to know that he aggressively tried to bully Mike Pence, his vice president, into refusing to count the electoral votes on January 6.

you got me hyper fixated on kingdom hearts and I don't know where to go from here. Can you maybe give advice for how to expand on the basics?
I've gotten a few requests to share videos and such, so consider this my answer: Best place is to play the games! And be sure to read the journal! After that, there's a lot to sink your teeth into if you want to know more, like reading the Ultimania's, Character Files, and Novels.
The Manga's are also cute, but generally considered less canon than the novels, for example.
Plus there are DECADES worth of interviews, I recommend using KHInsider as they are a great source :https://www.khinsider.com/dark-seeker-saga (You can click on the game you want to know more about and then look at Interviews, but they also have promo art on there and just a bunch of stuff)
There's also this great playlist made by GamerSpice of CHOICE KH videos, you'll find all my videos there but also all of Howler's vids and SRT vids as well as others: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLROrAtfTLrh6njOkpzREkZXXvCcINa8iO SuperButterBuns has made fantastic KH videos in her "For Beginners" series, RegularPat makes great content all around discussing the games, Damo279 has great videos covering the mobile games, BioRoxas has great videos breaking down the combat of the games, PlayFrame has a couple of great videos talking about how great the animation in KH is ( https://youtu.be/Z8aygr-1xAA), and of course I gotta recommend hanging out in Niku's streams where they talk about KH on the reg: https://www.twitch.tv/nikutsune (You can also watch their vods here: https://www.youtube.com/@nikustreamarchive ) There's so many people I could also recommend following for their art or metas like @blowingoffsteam2, Kipper on twitter (https://twitter.com/kicktwine), @smovs, @nicedracula, jiji on twitter (https://twitter.com/isleofji), aaannd damn there's just so many...
you can also follow my KH-blog @khllentxene, where I reblog a lot of stuff so that's a good way to start following other cool people.
IT'S A LOT! And also doesn't include everything and everyone I could mention, but I think it'll at least give you a good jumping in point!

Whenever people try to persuade me to engage with current Disney Star Wars material, I keep having to explain that the only thing that could even remotely 'tempt' me at this point is if Disney somehow miraculously declared their sequel movies un-canon. Since that's never going to happen, it's pointless for me to even bother. The problem I've had from the start is that I cannot sit back and enjoy Disney SW content while I'm simultaneously aware that it's meant to be taking place in a version of the story where the sequels supposedly 'happen'. If the sequels are considered an intrinsic part of Disney's universe—aka, something that 'must' eventually happen in it—then, within that context, the Star Wars I know and love loses all its meaning. That's the inescapable implication. And why would I want to watch something that's been drained of everything that made me care about it in the first place? It could be the most well-made piece of media in the world and I would still end up detesting it simply because it's taking place amidst a version of events I can never accept as canon.
Back when I watched Rebels and Rogue One, I was still processing my feelings and hadn't fully come to the conclusions I've come to now. At the time, I still had a faint hope that maybe I'd be ok with the rest of the Disney material as long as I just ignored the sequels. And while I thought Rogue One was actually an excellent film, and that Rebels had some decent moments (if also some highly disappointing ones), I realised that, for me, it's not really 'about' how good or bad the Disney material actually is. Rather, it's about the world in which these stories are supposedly taking place. Over the years, I've come to understand that I can only enjoy supplementary Star Wars material if it has been created with the Lucas saga in mind as the only primary canon. That's why I've always loved Lucas-era Clone Wars, but why I now refuse to engage with the more recent content released under Disney. I just cannot deal with it because ultimately said material has been created in relation to the entire 'new canon', not just the PT x OT films. I often find myself wishing that Disney would just de-canonise all their SW material and file it back under 'Expanded Universe' (aka, how how things used to be!) instead of insisting we have to view it all as ‘canon’ on the same level of importance as the original saga.
Alas, that will never happen, so for my own sanity I have to just ignore all of it.

BALITANG SPORTS: Japanese Manga Creator 'Captain Tsubasa' ends serialization for more than 4 decades, adapting before the TV Anime
Tumblr media
TOKYO, JAPAN -- It is with great saddened development as Mr. Youichi Takahashi, the unfortunate and beloved Japanese creator of Captain Tsubasa, announcing the end of the manga's serialization after an incredible journey for 43 years. Within the few days after the new year of 2024, the upsetting decision has finally been made due to the author's ongoing health issues in relation to aging, forcing to end of an era for fans of this most beloved sports manga series.
Tumblr media
(FILE PHOTO COURTESY: Niccolò Caranti via Wikipedia PHOTO)
It was created by Mr. Takahashi in the late-March 1981, burst onto the scene and instantly captivated manga readers with its thrilling depiction of soccer and the incredible journey of its main fictional anime character, Capt. Oozora Tsubasa. The manga's gripping storytelling and exciting soccer matches received immense praise, paving the way for its transformation into a hugely popular TV anime series during the 1980s. The franchise's enduring popularity led to a modern sports anime reboot in April 2018, reigniting the passion of both longtime fans and a new generation of the Japanese viewers (which later expanded into a global scene in the online world).
As reported exclusively from a Japanese national newspaper outlet 'The Asahi Shimbum', his decision is to retire from serializing 'Captain Tsubasa' stems from his health condition, which has impacted his ability to continue creating new chapters of the iconic manga. The author's dedication to his craft has been evident throughout his career, but the toll on his health has necessitated this difficult decision to bring the manga to a close. Takahashi's contributions to the realm of manga and sports entertainment have garnered immense full support and effort of appreciation from both fans and colleagues at Weekly Shonen Jump.

Looking a bright future ahead, the retirement of Takahashi has sparked a lot of curiosity about the future of Captain Tsubasa. Even though the manga has come to an end, the beloved soccer franchise readies to start a new chapter with the highly anticipated final season of the aforementioned TV anime series. This season is scheduled to air on JOTX-TV 7's TV Tokyo and other affiliates of the TXN Network across Japan. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Oozora Tsubasa's soccer journey reach its climax on screen.
With the departure of its original manga creator before the anime scene, the Captain Tsubasa saga is getting ready to say goodbye. However, the remarkable influence of Mr. Takahashi's masterpiece continues on to captivate people all over the globe. The impact of 'Captain Tsubasa' on sports anime and manga culture cannot be measured, and although the manga's conclusion signifies the end of an era, it also symbolizes the everlasting spirit of Oozora Tsubasa, and the unforgettable impression he has made on the hearts of anime sports enthusiasts.

Scenario 004 - A Machine Connor Saga (Pt.4)(Full Saga)
Listen, I'm tired of you talkin' back to me. You're a machine, so shut the fuck up and do what I say.
All I want is to accomplish my mission. I'm sorry if that upsets you.
You wanna see the end of your mission? Stop bustin' my fuckin' balls.
On the basis of all the evidence at my own personal disposal, it’s difficult to see the practical purpose of assigning Lt. Anderson to any case. His assignment as my partner suggests that our joint case is considered to be of minimal importance. I can’t help but disagree with Captain Fowler’s judgment here, both in my partner assignment and his general dismissal of my unique skills and the importance of the investigation. My handler, Amanda, supports that perception. The issue seems to be out of CyberLife’s control, to my detriment. I encouraged her that I would do my best to adapt to Lt. Anderson’s mentality and work with him effectively, but Amanda still appeared dissatisfied. Perhaps she believes that I should cease trying to accommodate his wishes at all and focus on completing the mission without regard for Lt. Anderson’s inclinations, but that is misguided.
Working with Lt. Anderson has not become any less difficult as time goes on. Worse still, I perceive that his attitude towards me has become progressively more hostile.
Today I met him at the police station for the first time; I had been optimistic that he might be more focused and agreeable while sober and following a good night’s rest. When I first arrived, he hadn’t yet come in, so I waited at his desk for several minutes. I made a brief search of its messy surface for any files relevant to the investigation, but mostly only located further evidence of his self-destructive tendencies and apparent hatred of androids. He’s held on to a few mementoes of his golden era as well. Evidently, Captain Fowler and Lt. Anderson have worked together for many years, which may explain his indulgent patience with Lt. Anderson’s antics and constant misbehavior.
When Lt. Anderson finally arrived, I joined him for a briefing in Captain Fowler’s office. His dissatisfaction with our assignment was evident. He insisted that he lacked the technical expertise or motivation to find it fulfilling, and acquiesced to Fowler’s command to pursue the case only when threatened with a write-up if he continued to push back against it. I attempted to reassure Lt. Anderson by reiterating my own commitment to our mission. I also made some efforts to pose personal questions in a friendly manner, as suitable for any android in my position working alongside humans, but these efforts were decisively rebuffed.
I relented and resolved to begin research on my own. Lt. Anderson was, at least, kind enough to assign me a desk and authorize my use of the terminal. Filtering through the list of missing deviants, an alarming pattern emerged. Although Captain Fowler had hinted at this during our briefing, my own analysis confirmed that the number of deviancy instances had been increasing exponentially over the past few months, expanding both in number and geographical area. I determined a good starting point lead, and brought up my suggestion to Lt. Anderson.
This was the moment when things escalated. Lt. Anderson refused to respond to my communication, so I resolved to make it a point to indicate that his behavior was unacceptable. After all, his complacency could be endangering hundreds of lives. While I knew that the authority to challenge him could not come directly from me, my efforts were aligned with the organizations which Lt. Anderson was employed by, namely the Detroit Police Department and their immediate client, CyberLife and its customers in the city of Detroit.
Lt. Anderson physically lashed out, fortunately not causing any lasting damage. He pinned me against a wall and told me in a harsh tone: “Listen, asshole. If it was up to me I’d throw the lot of you in a dumpster and set a match to it. So stop pissing me off, or things are going to get nasty.”
I conclude from this that, in the future, I must not only be wary of threats to my mission from external sources, but of Lt. Anderson’s aggression as well. His point holds validity that utilizing an android to address an epidemic of mass android malfunction may be unwise. Destroying all androids also seems prudent. However, economic incentives preclude that option in the immediate future; thus, his outburst struck me as extreme. His statements also appeared motivated by emotional factors rather than logic.

Gaming Across Generations: A Chronological Odyssey of Video Game Evolution
Video games have undergone a remarkable journey of transformation and evolution over the years. From the pixelated pioneers of the early arcade era to the cutting-edge virtual experiences of today, gaming has continuously redefined itself. In this article, we embark on a chronological odyssey, exploring the pivotal moments and defining characteristics that have shaped the ever-evolving landscape of video games generations.
The Birth of Pixels: The 1970s and 1980s
The story of video games begins in the 1970s with the birth of arcade gaming. Atari's Pong, the simple yet addictive table tennis simulation, captivated players and set the stage for the industry's growth. The late '70s and early '80s saw the emergence of iconic games like Space Invaders and Pac-Man, ushering in the era of pixelated graphics and catchy chiptune soundtracks. These early games laid the foundation for an industry that would soon become a cultural phenomenon.
The Rise of Home Consoles: The 1980s and 1990s
As the '80s rolled on, home video game consoles took center stage. Companies like Atari, Nintendo, and Sega vied for supremacy. Nintendo's release of the NES in 1985 marked a turning point. It introduced gamers to beloved characters like Mario and Zelda, setting a high standard for game design and storytelling. The concept of save files brought depth to gameplay experiences, making players emotionally invested in their virtual adventures.
The Era of 3D Gaming: The Late 1990s and Early 2000s
The late '90s and early 2000s brought the advent of 3D graphics, revolutionizing the gaming landscape. Titles like Wolfenstein 3D and Doom paved the way for the first-person shooter genre. Sony's PlayStation, released in 1994, was a game-changer with advanced graphics and groundbreaking titles such as Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid. This era shifted towards more mature storytelling, cinematic experiences, and expanding gaming demographics.
The Dawn of Online Multiplayer: The Late 1990s to 2000s
The late '90s and early 2000s saw the rise of online multiplayer gaming, transforming video games into a social experience. Games like Quake and Unreal Tournament popularized competitive online play, laying the foundation for esports. Massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) like World of Warcraft connected millions of players in vast virtual worlds, creating communities and friendships that transcended geographical boundaries.
Mobile Gaming Takes Center Stage: The 2010s
The 2010s witnessed the disruptive rise of mobile gaming. Games like Angry Birds and Candy Crush Saga became cultural phenomena, accessible to players on the go through smartphones and tablets. The launch of the Apple App Store in 2008 opened the floodgates for a vast array of mobile titles, making gaming a ubiquitous part of daily life for people of all ages. The simplicity and accessibility of mobile games broadened the gaming demographic further.
Esports Ascends: The 2010s
The 2010s marked the explosion of esports onto the global stage. Competitive gaming became a mainstream phenomenon with professional leagues, multi-million-dollar prize pools, and legions of passionate fans. Games like League of Legends, Dota 2, and Overwatch captured the imaginations of millions, and esports athletes achieved celebrity status. Esports not only challenged traditional sports but also demonstrated the potential for video games as a spectator sport.
The Emergence of VR and AR: The Future
As we look to the future, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are poised to redefine how we experience video games. VR headsets like the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR offer immersive, three-dimensional experiences that were once the stuff of science fiction. AR games like Pokémon blend virtual and real worlds, encouraging exploration and social interaction. These technologies promise to push the boundaries of gaming even further, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
The journey of video game evolution has been a remarkable one, from the early days of Pong to the boundless possibilities of VR and AR. Gaming has not only entertained but also influenced culture, technology, and storytelling. As we move forward, the world of video games will continue to evolve, offering new horizons of innovation and creativity. Whether you're a veteran gamer or a newcomer, the rich tapestry of gaming history ensures that there's always an exciting adventure awaiting you in the world of pixels and play.

X Files Season 2
Alright, my husband and I are pretty solidly into season 3 by now and I've just been tired and haven't felt up to writing my thoughts about season 2.
I'm still very tired but I'm going to give it a shot before I forget about 90% of season 2. I can tell you that the success of the first season is very apparent in the production value. The special effects, the make up, even the quality of the film seemed to improve drastically between seasons. I also feel like the writers felt like they could get away with a bit more now. It feels a lot edgier, there's a bit more gore than before, despite being restrained by the boundaries of what's allowed on television.
I feel like there are a lot more memorable episodes this season as well. The first time I watched this season I remember being very surprised at some of the plot points and revelations, particularly about Mulder's sister. Not surprised by them but rather how early they appeared in the lifetime of the show. I thought for sure that we wouldn't see Samantha Mulder until much later in the series but as it turns out (Spoiler: she wasn't really his sister, she was an alien/human hybrid clone).
Again, I don't have time to talk about every episode but I do want to talk about a few notable ones for me. Most of the episodes in this season were exceptionally good.
Best Episodes: S2 E5 / E6 / E8 - Duane Barry / Ascension / One Breath
Tumblr media
An absolute knockout trilogy of episodes. The saga of Duane Barry and Scully's abduction is not just one of the best stories in the series but a watershed moment for the show. While season one had some defining plot points, Scully's kidnapping feels like it really shaped the show and affected everything to come.
Great Episodes:
S2 E13 - Irresistible An incredible episode. It dealt with a lot of really heavy topics I won't get into but the moment at the end where Mulder and Scully hug after she finally breaks and shows her own vulnerability. Pfaster is such a terrifying villain as well.
S2 E3 - Blood A classic episode. Though it feels like the idea of rogue technology and conspiracies of the public being drugged with mind altering substances are themes that pop up sort of frequently. Not complaining too much since those are often really good episodes.
S2 S22 - F. Emasculata An episode that almost feels less like the X Files and more like a suspense contagion movie. One of those race-against-time episodes that keep you engaged all the way to the end. It was also particularly graphic with pulsating boils and some rather stomach churning moments.
S2 S20 - Humbug A rather lighthearted and silly episode despite the looming murders that grip a town of side show performers.
S2 E16 / E17 - Colony / End Game A good two parter that expands on the alien/human hybrid and clone mythos and introduces one of the most intimidating villains of the show, the alien bounty hunter.
Bad Episodes:
S2 E11 - Excelsis Dei An interesting but disturbing episode. I don't want to go too much into the rather triggering matters but I like the idea of an episode about astral projecting and if I remember correctly, there are other episodes about that but done a little better.
S2 E18 - Fearful Symmetry Not the worst episode but not very memorable. I'd completely forgotten about it until it came on and I was like, 'Oh yeah, this is the one about the zoo animals that turn invisible.'
S2 E12 - Aubrey Just kind of a dull episode. Terry O'Quinn from lost is in this episode and is really good! It's just a shame that the episode overall was nap inducing.
The Worst Episode: S2 E7 - 3 A boring, moody mess. I do think an episode solely about Mulder or Scully is a great idea but it doesn't work here. I do think they're both great working together but the melancholy that looms over the whole episode, and the fact that it's trying hard to be some kind of erotic vampire thriller, just turns it into a brooding, mumbling mess.
Overall a great season!

Grayscale initiated Ethereum ETF conversion, potentially expanding crypto accessibility for mainstream investors. Whale interest in ETH decreased despite ETF hype. Grayscale Investments, one of world’s largest crypto asset managers, recently made a significant move in the ongoing Ethereum [ETH] ETF saga. They announced that NYSE Arca filed with the SEC to convert Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) into a spot Ethereum ETF. Is your portfolio green? Check out the ETH Profit Calculator This development follows the recent SEC clearance of the first Ethereum futures ETFs, marking a crucial step in expanding Ethereum’s presence in the U.S. regulatory framework. Grayscale makes it moves, but whales shy away Michael Sonnenshein, the CEO of Grayscale, emphasized their commitment to providing investors with transparent and regulated access to crypto through familiar product structures. Converting ETHE to an ETF is seen as a natural progression in this endeavor, bringing Ethereum further within the purview of U.S. regulatory authorities. This significant move could potentially have a positive impact on Ethereum by increasing accessibility and acceptance among mainstream investors. However, data from Glassnode revealed that whale interest in Ethereum was waning. The number of addresses holding 10 or more coins recently hit a three-month low, with only 347,343 such addresses remaining. Source: glassnode Development activity continues Despite the price fluctuations experienced by Ethereum, its developer community remained actively engaged in advancing the protocol. In a recent developer meeting, various crucial topics were discussed. One highlight was the progress of testing for the upcoming Dencun upgrade. Although the goal was to launch Devnet-9, a testnet for this upgrade, it encountered some delays. This particular testnet is pivotal as it activates all nine code changes related to Dencun, ensuring a seamless transition when implemented. Another critical discussion revolved around the audit results for EIP 4788. This proposal entailed changes related to the beacon block root in the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Multiple audits were conducted, uncovering important findings. Notably, there were concerns regarding users’ ability to query the smart contract address using specific timestamps, which could potentially lead to vulnerabilities. Realistic or not, here’s ETH’s market cap in BTC terms Furthermore, recommendations were made to address a particular part of the code that exhibited behavior changes based on certain parameters. At the time of reporting, Ethereum was trading at $1,675. Despite the price surge, there had been a noticeable decline in network growth. This implied that the new addresses were starting to lose interest in ETH. Source: Santiment

I’ve just been catching up on your latest Sokkla Saturday stories, and I was pleasantly surprised that you’ve done sequels to some of your earlier stories. I was curious if you plan to do something similar for older stories that you’ve hinted at possible having sequel potential (eg. Shapeshifter AU, It Had to Be you). Keep up the great work!!
Okay well... haha. Hehe. Oops. IHTBY already has a sequel in the works but you seeeeeeeeeeee... I'm a bit of an annoying person who can't seem to finish that one x'D I've already posted a pretty lengthy "preview" of the sequel like... 3 years ago? 4 years ago? I have no idea how many ages ago I wrote that sequel and it's honestly kinda sad that I haven't finished, it's like every year I write a teeny tiny bit more... and then I stop and forget and then remember ten months later, feel awful, forget again, then get back to it 3 months later...
... It's a very weird cycle xD
As for Shapeshifter, though...?
Yeah that one's got some issues going on. Issue being...
... I may just file off the serial numbers for that one and expand it into my first shot at publication one day :'D I'll probably rewrite the whole thing xD there will be certain elements in common of course, but this one would most likely become a full saga if I commit to it and find the proper way to expand it. Admittedly, while borrowing plenty from ATLA, it didn't borrow remotely as much as other settings I've written (... such as Gladiator), hence why I think spinning it off ATLA completely would actually work. It does have a lot of potential and I'd seriously love doing it, sooooo...
Maybe someday I'll announce it's really going to happen, be expanded upon, turn into a novel and hopefully more than just one novel? :'D time will tell, but I'm absolutely hoping to do that with Shapeshifter AU. It does have a lot of potential, and it could end up being lifechanging if things pay off with it xD so... wish me luck, I guess? xD
It's possible I could do this with other stories (the wicked friend who put the Antarctica idea in my head is also pretty eager to see it turned into a full-scale novel and, yet again, it would work pretty smoothly in a setting like that, so...), but I do think Shapeshifter would, ideally, be the first one. Anyway, sorry that I don't have sequels at the ready just yet, but they're happening in their own ways xD maybe in about 4 years I'll finally stop being such a mess and finish IHTBY's sequel? xD oh, I sure hope so...

DCeased became a smash horror hit in 2019 by offering a twisted version of the DC Universe infected by the Anti-Life Equation, transforming heroes and villains alike into mindless monsters. DCeased: Hope at World’s End, previously only available digitally, expands the world of that original DCeased series by filling in that story’s time jump and focusing on characters including Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Stephanie Brown, Wally West, and Jimmy Olsen. In DCeased: Hope at World’s End, the Anti-Life Equation has infected over a billion people on Earth. Heroes and villains have fallen. In the immediate aftermath of the destruction of Metropolis, Superman and Wonder Woman spearhead an effort to stem the tide of infection, preserve and protect survivors, and plan for what’s next. In the Earth’s darkest hour, heroes will bring hope! The war for Earth has only just begun! This volume collects DCeased: Hope at World’s End Digital Chapters 1-15.
