me and my friend were discussing our favorite Luz's outfit/design and why we like them, and we made rankings with the top 3 🌷
I decided to share it here and if you guys want tell me which one is your favorite too :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
mine!!!!!
Luz with Azura cosplay without the wig in the first place 'cause I love the detail that she has a fanny pack, I like the color palette and the witch style, boots are the BEST, the star on chest that gives me good memories of Steven Universe, she looks SO cool and AAAAAAAAA
epilogue's Luz is second 'cause she is very stylish and maintains the essence of the good old Luz, more mature and full of references in her clothes, THE COLAAAAAR and the boots are also very pretty
poor sick Luz is cute, memorable, wins me over with her simplicity and at the same time details, messy hair and socks on her hands and mushrooms on her hair, I love her sm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he said that in first place was the classical Luz, precisely 'cause she's classic
in second place was the emo Luz, 'cause he said "she gives off a vibe that she would throw gasoline on Belos and set him on fire 'cause the jacket didn't warm her up enough, she needs the heat of justice", I don't understand what's going on in his mind
and thirdly he placed what he called "mafia Luz" (just Luz in her second Grom suit, in canon we don't have the full look so he took a fanart), because she is the boss and rules all the other Luzs in the Luzverse
oh and we both agreed that this Luz would beat all the others effortlessly 👇

The honey-coloured gown. It first appears in episode 13, and it alerts us immediately that something important has changed in the character's state of mind, several episodes before he works it out himself. Because the scheme of colour and texture is so totally different it's pretty hard not to notice, even in this light.
Tumblr media
It is worn for the "why didn't you kill me?" converation with Shangque, in which he learns key information.
Tumblr media
It's also worn for this moment where he decides to experience a positive emotion on purpose. We're looking at a river of dark honey, pale honey, soft reds, and shades of gold. All the textures are soft, and so is the shape and construction. The double collar wraps and yields, rather than standing tight around the neck. The pattern echos the flowers he has just spontaneously caused to fall like snow.
Tumblr media
The hunting dress is also velvet, but it's a very stiff shape, like armour. The black-and-gold battle dresses we've seen him wear are made of crispy-crackly brocades and chiffons that float and fly and stand up straight, taking up space without actually filling it. This feels totally different to look at.
He reads a little book, trying to make sense of things. Here we can see that it really is the loose wrap-around shape it appears to be, and that there must be a dark underlayer, otherwise invisible, which perhaps also belongs to the long straight sleeves we can just see a corner of.
Tumblr media
Look how gorgeous this is! The huge textured sunburst embroidery on the over-gown, the two different layers of facings on the mid-layer collar.
Tumblr media
I'm pretty sure this headpiece is the same one he wears with the hunting dress, the one that looks like a present from an Ent. Like the roots of a small but ancient tree.
In Episode 14, the honey gown is worn for the explanation of the hellfire.
Tumblr media
After this he returns to the green hunting dress to chase down the kidnapper, but the honey gown comes back in episode 16 for the discovery of Jieli's shenanigans. The cream-coloured robe with the red and gold belt seems almost as though it might be straight-cut, so the belt is actually doing work rather than just decoration. The black and gold robes all look very sharply tailored to the waist, even the one he wears in the dream.
Tumblr media
There's also a gold layer we can't see from the front - it might be a lining of the outer gown? Anyway, the effect of this looser shape is to make it look cosy and comfortable, as well as warm in colour and soft in texture, and unusually like a real garment that a real person could plausibly put on or take off. The hunting dress looks like it would bite and then throttle you if you tried to get it off him. This doesn't.
Look at this fantastic texture (of embroidery over cord?), the variety of colour, and the subtle touches of pale green, the green of early Spring and Arwen Undomiel's wedding dress:
Tumblr media
This outfit is a sensual feast.
Then, it's worn for the transformation sequence in Episode 17:
Tumblr media
Briefly with bare feet! which is a hell of a visual message.
Tumblr media
As sunlight falls on the tree, we get a view of the beautiful embroidery that looks almost representational, but not quite - it's a stylised design of branches or clouds or both, and it's gorgeous.
Tumblr media
This look stays while he panics and tries to reverse the process, which doesn't work.
For the confrontations with father and brother, it's changed for one of the black-and-gold styles I'll come back to later.
Then in episode 18, he decides to roll with it, so it's worn for the smiling lesson, and the attempt at reconciliation with Xunfeng.
Tumblr media
And this epic comedy moment
Tumblr media
And the cave scene, which reinforces the idea that it is super warm and cosy: and in which he is comforting Xiao Lanhua with the best reasoning he can think of. "Of course you are an orchid, I took care of you according to the book, and it worked."
Tumblr media
And for the scene where he thanks Xiao Lanhua and explicitly accepts the situation.
Tumblr media
So: this gown is worn for the entire restoration process, from the initial moments of questioning, through exploration, confusion, bafflment, denial, agony, panic, resistance, despair, more confusion, acceptance, determined attempts at difficult things, unselfconscious sweetness, murderous sweetness, continued confusion, and gratitude. He switches to the green hunting dress for the chase interlude in Episode 15.
This is followed by much funnier confusion and exploration in the Human Realm, and after that the consequences start to hit, and I don't think this delicious outfit ever comes back.
It looks warm, soft, unrestricting, cosy, generous and comfortable while still being big, dramatic, and protective. It's visually telling us the direction his personality wants to go - not necessarily where it will end up, but the direction it's being pulled in, and I think it does a lot to bring us along, subconsciously, with this arc. I call it the honey-coloured gown, but its message is sun melting ice, warmth of feeling, and the possibility of happiness.
The DFQC costumes master post is here.

Live action Yu Yu Hakusho liveblog (ep 2)
Okay listen. Whoever wrote and whoever is voicing the little kid Yusuke saves has never heard an actual six year old talk in their lives
Also forgot to say last ep but liked the move to age yusuke up a bit. Also Botan's digital file of Yusuke talking back at her is hilarious
Botan's voice (Eng dub) isn't quiiiite as expressive as would hit the mark for me compared to the anime but whatever she's adorable I forgive her
Also forgot to say last ep "Maybe it's better you're dead" BOTAN STOP ASDLKFJADS I love her your honor
Fights and vfx on Goki are actually kind of shockingly good, esp given how much I Did Not like him in the anime
VERY annoying and unfortunately typical that the darkest-skinned guy we've seen so far is. very specifically. the demon that eats children and that the anime makes uh iirc a lot more directly than I ever wanted to watch into a Certain Allegory
Interested that Reikai doesn't seem to know who Kurama actually is. Was that the case in the anime/manga?? I feel like no, they knew who he used to be from the initial briefing on the thieves but idk season 1 wasn't exactly my favorite to go back and rewatch literally ever
My favorite was 2 and 4. If you even care. lol
Kurama standing there during the fight like a creeper go
Actually fight with Goki is very epic. Again super creative and impressively believable way for Yusuke to survive and fight back against a guy with WAYYYY superior strength
Also wow is Yusuke underqualified for these fights rn lol. I mean we knew that but he's lucky he pulled that one out in the end. And esp lucky that Kurama won't want to fight, obv
YUKINA
Her wig is sadly Not as impressive as Botan's, and I'm not a fan of what looks like her contacts. Did they make her eyes green??? Bc her eyes being red is kind of narratively. you know. Relevant
Wait is that guy helping Yukina Hiei???!!! Human-form Hiei??!!!
Wait no of course not Hiei would've just killed everyone and gotten her out
(Listen we don't have any good shots of his face yet okay. That little sister line made me think!)
Interesting new jagan origin + (presumably?) moving up Yukina as Hiei's motivation. Makes sense given how everything about Hiei's first manga/anime appearance was ignored afterward lol when he was too popular to kill off
I hope they got rid of his original plan/motivation, anyway. I hated the mind control arc thing with him esp on Keiko. Dickhead
Well. Eyehead. Technically. But yknow
Pfft Kurama 100% staging that entire encounter and stalking ep meaning Yusuke thinks he's being sooo sneaky
Kurama's outfit is really pretty actually btw. I like it better than his anime outfit by a lot. The pink always clashed with his hair sooo bad
Also the pink in the preview images made me think/hope he was a girl (who actually got to fight in a shounen anime!!!!) and you have no idea how disappointed I was when I realized that wasn't true
Pfft Kurama using his demon powers to?? Pull a quickchange?? Amazing
His hair continues to not work nearly as well as in the anime but that was a lost battle from the beginning let's be real. At least it's better than Hiei's
(Which is so actively bad what was that shadow with his hair in the knife scene what)
Shiori benefits a lot from being played by like. an actually human person who also is older and has visibly aged. Gives her Character, makes her less of Just An Archetype
Momma's boy Kurama excellent as always. Meanwhile Yusuke's just flat out not replying to a single thing Shiori is literally saying to him lol
Wait does the quickchange imply that Kurama only uses that outfit on demon business. Bc in the show it's just his (ugly) school uniform but here it's clearly not. I really desperately want that to be his On Demon Business outfit in this show lol
Also makes the fact that he had Yusuke stalk him in that outfit funnier. then. boom. quickchange. Mom can't see the Demon Business Outfit
Hmm something about Kurama and his delivery isn't rly landing for me here. But to be fair he is being super Performative and Deliberate about all of this so that may be on purpose
I hope it's on purpose. Bc Kurama's great and I'd REALLY like to buy him/his lines as a character in this
He does successfully pull off "casually menacing" (you know, without murdering someone first) much more easily than his anime counterpart tho so that's cool
Meanwhile, Yusuke's face. Great face-acting there. Also great face
The scrapes on Yusuke's face really are v aesthetically arranged lol. but still look legit enough. I'm a fan
Okay I'm buying Kurama now. Excellent
"I've been deceiving that woman for many years" genuinely love that he put it that way. He's come to care about her so much but he's not trying to make himself sound better or lying to himself about the situation
It is killing me that he used the phrase "fertilized egg" in this explanation. It's killing me. It's also raising Fucking Questions. (But does at least give an explanation for how Kurama didn't like. Kill the original Shuichi's soul when he took the body.)
Oh the pattern on Kurama's outfit is roses!!! love it
Kurama: Sees Kuwabara following them
Kurama: ...Anyway.
The mirror of darkness looks like a fucking ipad. I can't take it seriously why does the mirror of darkness look like an ipad!!!
IT DOESN'T EVEN REFLECT ANYTHING
What's with the weird scifi aesthetics here and on the other artifacts? This is a fantasy show, fantasy aesthetics would fit better
The mirror-realm life-taking sequence is just. so much. lol it's so much once again I am unable to take it seriously!
Wait Shiori! You don't know there was magic saving you!! Don't take off your oxygen mask without a doctor's permission!!! Practice self-care!!!
Okay Kuwabara looks super different from his anime/manga self-from the front, but from the back he has the EXACT same silhouette as anime!Kuwabara, so much it's EERIE. I'm learning lots of things about what pompadours look like in real life-
hsb, ig???
HIEI HAS BLUE EYES?!!??!?!?!!!!
I mean at least they didn't only change Yukina's
But this is WEIRD
Also making the jagan not purple anymore, just an actual third eye, was the correct choice
Hmm I don't like how they translated Hiei's outfit as much as I do the others. (I like how they translated literally everyone else's outfits. This is so disappointing, esp since Hiei's aesthetics go off. There's too much white and too much detail in his outfits. Give me his cloak!!! Also changing the scarf into a turtleneck is highkey Not Working For Me
Anime!Hiei would literally never wear a turtleneck
Why is he wearing a turtleneck, he's a FIRE DEMON, it's not like he can get cold
The scarf is okay because it was clearly not primarily for keeping him warm
Give him the cloak I want the cloak!!
And he should be wearing all black underneath it! I mean I know he wears other color shirts under it in the dark tournament arc iirc. But live action won't have the control over the cloak for that lol
At least give him something all black (except the scarf or something similar) (NOT a turtleneck) with a similar silhouette to the cloak
And idk compared to the others I think his costume looks kinda cheap
OOF effects on the Toguros are NOT convincing. Oof. I admire their commitment to taking their physicalities literally but uh. They should've been less ambitious and focused more on translating the vibe. Imho
Okay! Time for episode 3!

EPIC HEROES
Who they are:
The Epic Heroes are a group of heroes who go from dimension to dimension to solve the problem and save the day!
Meet the Main Five:
Virre (Ben 10 Reboot):
Virre is the newest and youngest (but also technically the oldest) member of the Epic Heroes! Hailing from planet Soldracoa, this curious alien is always ready to have some fun and join the others on an adventure! Falling from the stars and onto Earth, it couldn't remember much about its past. But it did know that it didn't like being alone, so when the Tennysons found it and invited it to join their road trip, it just couldn't say no! Besides, you never know what fun you might have with an extraterrestrial!
Starry (Sonic the Hedgehog):
Starry the Fox loves making art with almost any medium. Photography, chalk, paint, and even baking! She loves working on all sorts of big and little crafts to give to the others whenever she's got a minute or two to spare. She's also the resident fashionista and clothing designer, styling outfits that save and slay the day!
Katie (Pac-Man & The Ghostly Adventures):
Danger is Katie's middle name! He lives for adventure and isn't afraid to dive in head first, although that can sometimes lead her to getting herself into trouble. Balancing the duties of saving the city from ghost attacks and the chore of high school isn't a problem for this teen. Well, mostly; he's not a big fan of math. She may act prideful, but she's not afraid to be a real hero when the world needs it from her!
Archer Woman (Mega Man)
Archer is the brains of the team's operation. As Doctor Shyne's first creation, she had many other robots come after her. She was built to research the flora and fauna of the forests. From protecting endangered species to studying the biology of rare flowers, she never gets tired of her job! The only thing that can pull her out of her lab in the woods is her motherly instinct to the other Heroes. She's technically the oldest of the heroes (not counting Virre's true age).
Zena (Super Mario)
From unexpected interdimensional guest to one of the top knights in the kingdom, Zena is no stranger to battle. Despite being on Bowser's side, she acts for the greater good and enjoys hanging out with the Koopalings, which eventually leads to her becoming the unofficial eldest sister of Bowser's children. She's even managed to influence the King of Koopas himself to quit his habit of kidnapping Princess Peach! She may be the muscle of the Epic Heroes, but she's a great person once you thaw her icy exterior.
And with that, this is the conclusion of my first main post of the...
EPIC HEROES!
Thanks for viewing!

What would I do for Sugar Rush Madness: B3 Remixed? It'll be much like the original Sugar Rush Madness V2, but with noticable differences such as Horror Zoey being the main standoff for B3. And all characters would be much different with their redesigns. No, it will not be all fortnite characters entirely, go home. But Zoey will still be included here only.
Tumblr media
Here is the story:
It was some point around in May 1, 2018, the fortnite Zoey skin has been released after she was introduced for Season 4. Her rarity is epic, and her set is a Sweet Tooth outfit. There were about 19,732 wishlists and somehow she became popular as rumors to say that Zoey is a trap but it's not what you expect, it's neither a rant or discussion. it's just a silly meme series type of video made by cogstok from YouTube. But by the time until October 29th 2018, Zoey was officially disabled due to reasons of players using the outfit could use an exploit to become invisible, and most likely "partying issue". The item that is available for a limited time and will most likely "NEVER" come back. But the devolopers who worked on Fortnite don't realize that Zoey became a hellbent, vengeful, sentient character after being disabled as the copy of the game itself became altered. Herself, as well as the environment, is changed heavily, and Zoey's personality contrasts greatly from how she behaves in canon. Zoey has been disabled for over 3 decades until finding out that not only she found out she was replaced with a new Zoey skin, but also found out she has her own fan, a known rapper who was attracted to a known vampire. Finding out about this, Her console disk was shipped by a strange mailwoman to his house, then she drags them into the game, then challenges Bartholomew as a way to act on revenge on those for what happened years ago to accomplish one thing; killing a player who is unfortunately responsible enough for her deletion. Prepare for Zoey's revenge...she's coming for you.
Characters:
Candy Land Kingdom (Story Mode):
• Sweet Horror Zoey, aka Horror Zoey or simply Z, is the main antagonist of this story as as a replacement for Horror Vanellope from Sugar Rush Madness. While her original counterpart originates from the original Zoey skin, this one appears to be an amalgam between the aforementioned design and Nina the Killer. In Sugar Rush Madness B3 Remixed; Zoey is a vengeful, disabled, sentient fortnite character based on the events that happened before she became a sentient serial killer after one copy game has been altered into a horrific, harsh state. After 30 years disabled, Horror Zoey discovered a rapper and his vampire girlfriend and she went to get revenge on those who disabled her by locking them into her world of her very own hell she created to those unfortunate enough to be dragged in. She is the main opponent for It's-A-Me (Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed), Starpower Slaughter (Speedway Slaughter; B3 Remixed), and Battle-Stars (All-Stars; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed)
• B3 Carol is a police officer who is a victim of Horror Zoey. She appears in Starpower Slaughter in which it is implied that she refused to be her slave, and most likely trapped inside the game along with the others.
• Sweet Horror Frostine is a horrific version of Queen Frostine originating from Candy Land, serving as a replacement for Super Horror Wanda. She appears in the middle of Starpower Slaughter alongside Jolly.EXE, temporarily taking Horror Zoey's place. In Sugar Rush Madness: B3 Remixed, Horror Frostine was one of the many victims that inhabit the hacked Fortnite game disk. Along Jolly.EXE, she sabotaged and freezes Horror Zoey to death to warn Bartholomew and Shyaya to escape from this place just to protect them, both of whom are killed after a few turns of singing by a crazed victim. Horror Frostine's soul was absorbed to form Ultra Z.
• Jolly.EXE is a creepy version of Jolly who originates from Candy Land and inspired by the short horror game Yoshi.EXE. He appears alongside Horror Frostine during the middle of Starpower Slaughter, hitting the ground with a big "THUMP" to knock Horror Zoey off the cliff. In Sugar Rush Madness: B3 Remixed, Jolly.EXE is one of the many victims that inhabit the hacked Fortnite game disk. Jolly.EXE allied with Horror Frostine, rising against Horror Zoey by throwing her in a freezing lake to protect Bartholomew, however they were killed by a crazed lunatic of a victim. Lolly.EXE's soul was used to form Ultra Z.
• After their death, instead of Horror Zoey, a Third Victim is shown with a mutilated body, damaged clothes, his right arm missing, and a crazed anger expression on his face. He is the last opponent for the final part of Starpower Slaughter. In Sugar Rush Madness, a Third Victim has been trapped in the game for 20 years and yet these years of insanity is getting to him to the point where he loses it after being tortured by Horror Zoey. Which comes to the point where he confronted Bartholomew telling him to get the fuck out of here as possible, cause there ain't no way anyone would stand in his way trying to find the escape route.
Irregularity Ice Cream Island:
• Ellen Kennedy is a voice actor known for voicing Kyoko Ontonashi, Mane-iac, and Kaburu-kun/Cappy. She's also a voice actor for Grandma Nut. Take a visual walk through their career and see 142 images of the characters they've voiced and listen to 30 clips that showcase performance at behindthevoicesactors.com/Ellen-Kennedy/. She is the opponent for the song So Unique.
• Suzy Snacktime is a major character in the 2024 animated horror web series Kandyland. She's actually an animatronic clown wearing a clown outfit. One of Kandlyland's proprietary animatronics, she is a sentient robot well known for her kindness towards guests. Her speech and appearance are reminiscent of the 1960s waitresses. There was nothing controversial about her, but the show itself is controversial for the usage of NFTs. Suzy is the most prominent character in the show's advertising, to the point where the official YT channel was originally just making shorts for her. She's ultimately an amicable animatronic that gets brainwashed into malice by a virus, which she is conscious of and tries to stop. In the episode she stars in, she encounters a crying child. The implication is that she'll try to kill them, but instead comforts them. When the virus tries to make her attack them, she resists and cries for help. She is the opponent for the song Nurturing Innocence (Nourishing Blood; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Ms. Pinkie Mint is a combination of Mr. Mint and Pinkie Pie who starred in the infamously good crossover game of Candy Land. She is the opponent of the song Pinkie Fun and Dance Boogie 10 (Citrusella Sing and Game Rhythm 9; B3 Remixed).
Lollipop Woodland of Lies:
• Alpha Firehead is B3 Candlehead's appearance in the Game Over screen for the alpha version of Firehead's Castle, where he fails to save Markus (B3 Cakehead) and falls into a depressive episode and eventually slowly goes insane and snaps from her own frustration before committing suicide. She is the opponent for Suicide (Alone; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remix) referencing to Dejection and Unknown Suffering from Wednesday's Infidelity.
• Alpha Markus is a depiction of B3 Mark Papa (B3 Cakehead), after his fate was sealed by The Devil. He is a tormented soul of Alpha Firehead's brother, being a cry for help and dramatization of the his own deal of misfortune caused by The Devil himself. His appearance is strongly based from a child where he gets dragged down to hell like the opening from Drag Me To Hell, as well as simulating a tormented soul with his eyes are missing and his flesh burns.
• I LOATHE YOU Vanellope is a B3 swap replacement for I HATE YOU Tafftyta. In the alternate universe, Vanellope found out a revenge plan and she sent her murder guards to kill off Lord Licorice and his minions in order to confront her. Taffyta however feels so many regrets her revenge has failed, she then ends up defending herself by fighting each other in a sword battle, and eventually she accidently knocked her into Red Licorice lava, turning her into an undead living corpse. She is the opponent of the songs Oh Hell No (Oh Code No; B3 Remixed), and I Loathe You (I Hate You; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• The King is Watching You is a character based on a short lost episode creepypasta surrounding the unaired movie of Candy Land. This version of King Kandy rumors center mainly around the red text messages which many interpreted "After this, you're next." or "The king is watching you." This lead many to believe there was a bootleg version of a copy in some fashion. With the rise of popularity of VHS creepypasta rumors, more horrific versions of The King is Watching You were since created. He is the opponent of the song Vasiliaphobia. (Xocolactophobia; B3 Remixed)
• The Wazooigi Apparition is a floating painting of a Pastry Baker & Candy Maker, Wazooigi Von Warhead. It initially appeared during TobiKomi's Demo version of "Firehead's Castle" secret boss segment in E3 2001, chasing after Firehead for the impossible boss battle. Many years later, it was popularized by Firehead's Castle horror community due to a creepypasta that every copy of Firehead's Mansion is personalized, and there exists a cursed alpha version of the game in October 29, 2001. Allegedly, The Wazooigi Apparition materialized in not only Firehead's Mansion as well out of people's desires to see Wazooigi in the game, and it caused a horrific mental trauma upon those who saw it. He is the opponent in the song Apparition (Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Leatherfellope Von Massacre is an EXE as a B3 replacement of King Turmoil. She used to be a normal princess until she accidentally ingested the meat containing Leatherface's code. She has since turned into a cannibalistic serial killer who feeds upon her friends and enemies. She is the opponent for the song Final Course (Last Course; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Birthday Night Crumbilina is B3's main antagonist of the popular Skullgirls ROM Hack 'Squigly's, also known as "Birthday Night". One day, Crumbilina was invited to Squigly's birthday, only to be killed by Black Dahlia and her goons or she might've disappeared into a graveyard and was eaten alive by a mysterious zombie. She, or an undead zombie of the unknown origin, now inhabits the candycoated graveyard.
Content Cupcake Cosmos:
• Cute Cat Vanellope is a version of Vanellope from a YouTube video of the Sad Cat Dance meme by pi geon. In which Vanellope is animated over a Sad Cat Dance meme to make seem like she's making a cute dance. She is the opponent of the song Cute Cat. (Annoying Day; B3 Remixed)
• The Pasta Girls Trio are the 3 main characters based on the original Pasta Night comic dubs, from Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby and upcoming to my series, Bitches Night Out. For this series, King SS, a varient of Lord XX is a king of cards, a card dealer and poker expert, while JBX, A B3 varient of JB-BX is a sassy, punkass, rebellious woman who smokes weed while playing poker while being a bully and a bitch to B3 Gold just for the laughs, and Hypnasis, a B3 varient of Hypna is just an annoyed lady who broke up with his ex-boyfriend B3 Gold who is a whiny dipshit and a 35 year old manchild and is forced by B3 Gold's mother to take her ex, B3 Gold to go to the bar where she can hang out and play poker with her friends, however, she was rather late to the party because someone, such as B3 Gold wanted an "Ice water" instead of a beer and wouldn't stop whining about it and then poker started, however, the game ended early and calling it for the night, after B3 Gold to get bullied and fall to the ground after the lights went out after JBX used the POW block MX left behind. They appear for the song Night Out (Day Out; Pasta Night Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Secret Ending Vanellope is a version of Vanellope originating from a fanfiction If Vanellope Hasn't Been Kidding Around. She is a cold-hearted, ruthless princess who rules the Sugar Rush Kingdom with an iron fist, having to execute those whoever are mean to her, throwing Wreck-It-Ralph in the Fungeon for trying to stop her, and watch the racers that are executed suffer with her own amusement...Of course, The spirits of the dead racers always comes back. In Sugar Rush Madness: B3 Remixed, she presumably captured Bartholomew and Shaya to throw them in a Fungeon to be imprisoned for at least awile to avoid any screw-ups for her execution of the racers, but decides to execute them when she finds out that Bartholomew and his girlfriend are supposed to die in the name of Z. She is the opponent in the song Executioner (Dictator; Sugar Rush Mix: B3 Remixed).
• Evil Vanellope is the titular villain of the YouTube videos of Evil Vanellope gets Grounded series by GoAnimate. In Sugar Rush Madness: B3 Remixed, she has grown sick and tired of everyone around her grounding her for their excuses "stupid reasons" or "doing something very bad", and tries to murder Vanellope (and eventually everybody else) out of irrational hatred comparable to an actual evil villain. She is the opponent for
• Domination Vanellope is a "retake" based from Vanellope Von Schweetz from "Wreck-It-Ralph: Safe Mode" by SB99, and B3's main antagonist of the "Trojan Virus" series for the Domination Domain AU, which she is possessed by a trojan virus dragon, leading her to become hungry for the legion of evil and take over the entire world, stopping at nothing to eliminate those who attempt to defeat the dragon overlord, even if it means taking a bunch of lives of other ladies along the way. She is the opponent of the song Lost Hope (No Hope; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
Hellish Mountain Pass:
• GP is an EXE as a B3 varient of GV. She is based off of Vanette's appearance from a DeviantArt picture created by RavenEvert. She is specifically from a bootleg copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but her true origins are unknown. She likes to taunt with her victims who dare to play as her in the game, and use the secret dangerous power-ups to destroy the entirety of Mario Kart cast in order to be in 1st place. She can even manifest in the game itself and come into the real world. However, she choses not to kill the player, as she believes that would be a lesson to those who race against her. She is the opponent of the song Golden Road (Golden Rush; B3 Remixed).
• Lord Blackliquor is the B3 varient of DJ Hallyboo, a B3 replacement for BJ Harpyboo and the main antagonist of Candy Land DVD game Anti-Piracy series. As the normally unseen villain of Candy Land DVD game (and strange offshoot of Lord Licorice from Candy Land: The Great Lollipop Adventure), he resides in pirated copies of the game as a secret impossible boss in order to replace King Kandy teach pirates a painful lesson. He is the opponent of the song No Party (Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Ms. Xbox or Ms. X is a horrorbrew of a B3 varient of Mr. Virtual, and a B3 replacement for King Virtual inspired by Hotdiggedydemon's Brain Dump character known as Burnbot, and the antagonist of the upcoming horror series The Evil Eye of the Green Poltergeist. Once a female, human serial killer simply known as X, she was gunned down by Officer Michael Kawasaki near a display stand for the Xbox Console at E3 1995. Her spirit now haunts the Xbox after she died after using voodoo as her soul transfer; waiting for unsupervised victims to play the console so she can mentally torture them and use their skin as a vessel with which to kill Officer Michael Kawasaki. She is the opponent of Monomania (Paranoia; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Ms. P is the main antagonist of Candy Land: Too Late, an EXE game inspired by Too Late.EXE and a B3 replacement for Ms. L. After Ms. Pepper was accidentally killed by Mr. Mint with a peppermint axe, she became a horrific, demented spirit and tormented and tormented his brother with creepy, strange and grotesque visions, eventually killing him into the same peppermint axe Pepper died long ago. She is the opponent of the song Pastdue (Overdue; Sugar Rush Mix: B3 Remixed).
• C.L.A.W. is the B3 varient and replacement of JB-BX, and the main antagonist of Wreck-It-Ralph '112 a new take on the concept of Anti-Piracy heavily inspired by Anti-Piracy Screens. Sitting with an abandoned pirated bootleg copy of the first Wreck-It-Ralph movie, The movie starts out just like the original just before Ralph is met with Vanellope Von Schweetz, the glitch who wants to win the race, but things are about to escalate quickly later on after Officer C.L.A.W was introduced. C.L.A.W. scares the viewers who dare to play the movie and shockingly she killed off Vanellope after she got caught up with them and impaled her with a pike so she can never be allowed to race ever again, simply following the execution orders from King Candy himself, then she handcuffed Ralph for helping her bake a kart and lock him up in the Fungeon for the rest of eternity before it ended with not only with a bad ending, but Fix-it-Felix Jr. has been unplugged which makes the nicelanders and even Fix-it Felix himself homeless without Ralph around, but eventually they found out Ralph is actually locked up for all eternity, then it ended with the end credits, after the end credits rolled, they'll end up with a shocking Anti-Piracy Screen that can break the 4th wall talking the viewer menacingly. As an Anti-Piracy officer, she takes things personally to those who try to watch for free. She would call the authorities knowing what the piracy viewers have done. She is the opponent of the songs Piracydown (Powerdown; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed), and Termination (Demise; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
Classified Licorice Castle:
• King Candy, also known as Announcement King Candy, is the host of a supposedly cancelled video game "Sugar Rush Kart: Ultimate Circuit" in The SECRETS of Sugar Rush Speedway universe. He is the first opponent of the song Announcement (Promotion; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• The artificial intelligence of the Sugar Rush Speedway VHS, created under the name auto_sentient, also known as Stanford, is the main villain of "The SECRETS of Sugar Rush Speedway" series, a series of videos based on the Mario Kart creepypastas. He is the second opponent for the song Announcement (Promotion; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Secret Snowanna is a B3 replacement of Classified Adorabeezle for the "The SECRETS of Sugar Rush Speedway" horror web series. She only appears in "08.03.96" where she is hardly missed by a lot of people due to appearing for awile. She appears from the Candy Castle Circuit in the abandoned "city hall" area where she crawls like a zombie in front of the central fountain.
• VANELLOPE is an anomalous Disneyland costume with a mysterious backstory. Just when Bartholomew and Shaya think they've reached the end of the road stopping there where Disneyland is located on the final destination on the map, they have fun on the rides, watch the parades, and they took a small picture to celebrate! However...is that a Disneyland costume moving on its own?! Is it really haunted...? Have they reached "The End?" She is the opponent of the song The End (Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
Mega City (Finale):
• Ultra Z is mostly just Sweet Horror Zoey fused with the other characters because she absorbs them into her final form. None of the characters die, but they're still slaves to Zoey. But eventually her revenge won't even last long without a long confrontation. She appears in Act 1 & Act 4 of Battle-Stars (All-Stars; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Delta is an EXE based on Sugarsweet Zoey, and a B3 version of Omega and replacement for Rambo, Delta is possibly a demon, as it was revealed that she is an "offshoot" belonging to Horror Zoey, a sentient, demonic entity. Delta has more "Harley Quinn-like" personality, with them citing Harley Quinn from DC Superhero Girls as an example. She's also stated that Delta can be a little silly some times. She was created by Ultra Z to distract Bartholomew. She appears in Act 2 of Battle-Stars (All-Stars; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed).
• Mr. M is a minor B3 antagonist in Battle-Stars (All-Stars; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed). He is the minion of Delta, created to distract Bartholomew while Ultra Z staked Shaya to the heart.
• L0RD is the minor B3 antagonist in Battle-Stars (All-Stars; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed). He is the minion of Delta, created to distract Bartholomew while Ultra Z staked Shaya to the heart.
• JO77Y is a minor antagonist in Battle-Stars (All-Stars; Sugar Rush Mix; B3 Remixed). He is the minion of Delta, created to distract Bartholomew while Ultra Z staked Shaya to the heart.
• After Battle-Stars Act 2, Shyaya then is the opponent in Act 3 after being killed and reanimated as CS by Ultra Z.

Omega Quintet first impressions and a rant about it's character Takt
Tumblr media
So I just started playing Omega Quintet and I've got about 5 hours into the game. I'm enjoying it so far, so I'd like to give my first impressions. It's a game I've been thinking about getting into for a while and a recent sale finally persuaded me. I was really interested by the premise of it, it sounds very similar to Symphogear, an obscure anime I really like.
Omega Quintet is a half jrpg, half visual novel game. The world is thrown into chaos by an entity known as Blare (or Beep in the JP ver.) Blare produces monsters called MAD that cause mass destruction. Blare can be destroyed by a special girl known as a Verse Maiden, one who can use the power of song to defeat them. Otoha is a young girl who always dreamed of becoming a Verse Maiden like her idol Momoka. Her dream finally comes true when a certain incident gives her a chance to step up to the plate.
Other than this I won't go into much detail about the story since I'm not that far in yet, but it's a good premise so far! I'd mostly like to give my thoughts about the gameplay itself and a certain critique I have about the game so far.
Tumblr media
Early thoughts about the gameplay:
The battle system feels very complex and they throw a lot of information at you that you won't digest right away. I don't fully understand how it all works yet, but it's at least fun so far! I'll explain what I do understand for now. The game features the same combo type system that other Compile Heart games like Death End re;Quest and Neptunia have. You can pick multiple skills to chain together in a combo and it feels pretty satisfying. The animations are decent too! The battlefield seems to have different layers/rows to it that make certain attacks effective at a particular range. There are many different weapon and element skills, some having different effects like knockback.
There's a character named Takt that I'll talk more about later. He's basically like this game’s Jack if you've played Mary Skelter. He supports the Verse Maidens in combat by adding an extra attack in the girl's combo chains and can also block an attack for a party member. He also has other supportive abilities that I don't quite understand yet.
Now this wouldn't be a Compile Heart game without some kind of fan service. I don't quite fully understand this mechanic yet either, but Omega Quintet features an outfit break system. If a party member receives too much damage, their clothes will start to tear off and you'll lose any buffs you had applied to that particular outfit. I know it's really silly, but I honestly love it. I've always personally thought that battle damage in stuff like Dragon Ball Z or Senran Kagura was the coolest most epic thing. It just adds an extra sense of drama and intensity to fights, despite the intent to show off some panties.
These are the main points I wanted to mention, but there's so much more to the battle system, including Voltage. Like I said, it's very complex. I hope to get a better understanding of it as I progress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd briefly like to mention the game's art. This Compile Heart game has a different artist that I'm not familiar with, but I really like the style! It's all really cute and pretty and I think it really fits the characters. It's hard to describe, but everything just feels super girly and I love it. The character designs are so good! It's cuteness overload for me! There's also a few visual novel illustrations too!
The rant about this game's negative:
Sadly though there is one negative I have about this game so far that I feel the need to criticize. Do you ever consume a piece of media that has a character so badly written and integrated that it almost ruins the experience of the whole thing for you? Well for me that character is Takt. Takt is this game's male secondary protagonist support character that Compile Heart games commonly have. Takt and Otoha are childhood friends who grew up together. They're the closest thing each other has to family since they both had no parents.
Tumblr media
I have a couple problems with Takt. Firstly is his personality, or lack thereof. Really his only personality trait is being cold and disinterested and he really doesn't contribute anything significant. It feels like he only stays friends with Otoha out of obligation, again always acting cold and disinterested when interacting with her, even being a little mean to her at times. The story wants you to think that deep down he genuinely cares for her, but they haven't shown much to make it convincing. Aside from that, he has his moments where he acts recklessly heroic, but only because the plot needs him to be. I'm curious to see if maybe Takt will have any character development that will make me think better of him, but I have my doubts about that due to my secondary reason for not liking him. We're really off to a rocky start for this one.
My second reason for hating Takt is how the game needlessly pushes him as being a self insert character. A lot of the game's story feels like it is viewed through Takt’s perspective. He also doesn't have a visual novel portrait in cutscenes, I assume because he's supposed to represent you viewing the story. You also control Takt instead of Otoha when exploring the Verse Maiden headquarters before accepting a mission. I just feel like a self insert for this kind of story was really forced and unnecessary. The game would've been so much better without him. Takt has no likable qualities and doesn't contribute much to anything. He just feels shoehorned into the game because the developers wanted the game to be more appealing to the male audience I assume. He literally just has no reason for being present, once again he barely contributes anything to the plot. Even some of the actual characters in game make comments about his useless presence, almost as if the game is self aware. The game's excuse is that Otoha gets nervous without him being there, so he always has to be following her around. This eventually leads to Takt becoming the Verse Maiden’s manager and he supports their team in combat. The worst part about it is how uninspired and indifferent he is about everything. He's not even interested in helping the girls, he's only there to keep Otoha company because he's got nothing else better to do I guess.
Speaking of him helping in combat, I've got another thing to rant about! For the gameplay he just gets a big ass anime sword and powers for literally no reason. I kid you not, the game gives absolutely no explanation as to how he obtained all that. I don't know if it'll get explained later, but so far the game hasn't acknowledged it. His abilities have no story relevance so far. The characters just comment on having an uplifting energy when being supported by him.
That one fish from SpongeBob: “Oh brother, this guy stinks!” I'm so sorry reader, but the rant doesn't end here I'm afraid. Sadly there’s still more! So I'm not too far in to really see where this goes, but there's also a relationship mechanic. You can increase your affection with certain characters. Not sure what this does yet though. I'm just mad because of course the writers have to make all the girls like him too, because he totally deserves it (sarcasm).
To top it all off, let's talk about his design. He's even got that cookie cutter boring protagonist anime boy look to him. His design feels very uninspired compared to the rest of the game's characters. Takt just feels like an insult to an otherwise good game, which is why I felt the need to criticize his unnecessary inclusion. The only redeeming quality about him is his role in the gameplay is a neat mechanic, but this easily could've been replaced by a different supporting character instead of forcing a self insert.
Tumblr media
Alright so that's all my thoughts for now. If I continue to put a lot of time into the game I may give an update to how I'm enjoying it. Thanks for reading and I'm sorry this turned into a big rant. I didn't originally plan for that lol, but Takt was just too insufferable for me. But when I criticize something, it's because I like that thing and think it deserves better. Omega Quintet is so cool so far, it really didn't deserve to be held back by this character. Takt’s existence is negatively affecting the experience for me.

OC's Outfit and Sword:
Information about my OC:
°Full Name: Lilith Ombretta Cheronobog
°Aliases: Lily, Etta, Little Darkling, The Sinner's Bane, Umbra Insulae (the shadow of the island), Vindex (punisher), Diabolique, Discordia...
°Gender: Female
°Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
°Species: Demon/Demigod hybrid

°Status: Immortal
°Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (leaning towards evil)
°Hair Colour: black as her soul (sometimes dyed as dark blue ombre)
°Eye Colour: chartreuse (but when she uses magic it turns an eerie yellow)
°Complexion: deathly pale
°Personality: Lilith is a chaotic pessimist made out of sarcasm. She's so very unapologetic with what she says and she uses dark humour as a coping mechanism. She gets aggressive around some villains (like Gaston and Frollo) but turns docile around some of the villainesses (cough... Maleficent... cough... Helga Sinclair). But besides that she's surprisingly very helpful (but only when it suits her😏)...
°Family: Chernabog (father, estranged, dead), Eris (mother, estranged, alive)...
°Love Partnership Interest: ☠️ (Flirt and flounce but when they want to settle down... bounce...)
°Friends Allies: The Core Four, The Sea Three, (sighs) Yen Sid, The Anti-Heroes Club, Dizzy Tremaine, Hadie, Hades, Dr. Facilier, Celia Facilier, Freddy Facilier, Diego DeVil, Harriet Hook, CJ Hook...
°Enemies: Most of the adults on the Isle, King Beast, Queen Leah, basically all the Vk haters...
°Hobbies: Beating the shit out of the sinners of the Isle (mostly Gaston and Frollo...), Protecting the younger Vks from their abusive parents, Annoying Yen Sid, Hanging out at Dragon Hall (because you're never too cool for school), Flirting with the MILFs of the Isle 😏...
°Occupations: Substitute Teacher (at Dragon Hall), Babysitter (for younger Vks), Manager (at the Bargain Castle shop)
°Pet: a fruit bat (named Alucard🦇)
°Powers & Abilities: Umbrakinesis, Chaos Magic, Dark Magic, Demon Summoning, Bloodbending, Flying (with wings or when she turns into a swarm of bats), Shape Shifting, Allspeak, Super Strength, Fast Reflexes, Heightened Senses, Super Intelligence...
°How she ended up on the Isle: Well... she volunteered to go with Yen Sid to the Isle, so that they could teach the children of the Isle how to live without magic (and to also make sure that the villains don't tear him apart)...
°How her life was before the Isle: Lilith grew up isolated, in a cave at the Bald Mountain, so she immediately left for adventure when she was old enough to take care of herself. She travelled many realms and had many romances and misadventures, meeting strange people along the way... one of them was Yen Sid.
They didn't get along at first but eventually they became frenemies of sorts (more like civilised enemies) that engage in friendly banter whilst fighting each other (kinda like the Merlin and Mim dynamic). They only became true friends when Lilith helped Yen Sid and Mickey Mouse defeat Chernabog in an epic final battle on Bald Mountain. After the battle, Chernabog's remains was buried beneath the Island that would later be known as "The Isle of the Lost"...
"Death is inevitable, suffering is optional..."

Miraculous Team Trope Page
A list of tropes that apply to the Miraculous Team au created by SonicPossible00 on Deviantart.
Adaptational Expansion (when a work expands on the original story it was based on): Unlike the original series, which revels things little by little, The M Team series reveals it's worldbuilding all at once. It also expands on the Miraculous lore and characters' personal lives.
Adaptational Sexuality: At least five characters so far have come out as gay, while in the original series, they were Ambiguously Bi at the most.
Alpha B*^ch: Chloe Bourgeois aka Queen Bee used to be this, but during the Origins volume she resolve to change for the better. That title is later taken up by her mother Audrey and the original character Jeanne Gagne.
An Ice Person (someone with ice powers) : Sabrina Raincomprix aka Louve Gris has ice breath, a reference to wolf howls.
Art Attacker (someone who uses art as a weapon) : Nathanal Katzinburg aka Panda Roux has the power to bring drawings to life, which he uses to make weapons and tools.
Badass Normal (a non-super person whose still a competent fighter): The Parisian Police force are portrayed as this. They protect people from Akuma attack and hold off said Akuma until the Team arrives. Ladybug makes a point of praising them whenever she and her team mates are interviewed.
Bespectacled Cutie: The M Team gives us 4 examples of this: Confident Alya, sweet Sabrina, Nerdy Max and Laidback Nino.
Beware the Nice Ones: Applies to the M Team. They're all sweet kids. But they're also well-trained living weapons who will clobber the heck out of wrongdoers. Also applies to most Akuma victims; otherwise normal people who've been pushed over the edge by one too many a-holes.
Big Brother Instinct (protective siblings): Marinette Dupain-Cheng has this for her friend Manon. Nino Lahiffe has this for his brother Chris. Alya Cesaire has it for her three sisters. And the Couffaine siblings Luka and Juleka have it for each other.
Brainwashed and Crazy: This is the simplest way to describe Akumazation.
Broken Ace (an otherwise successful person who harbors a secret agony) This applies to Adriens' father Gabriel Agreste. He's a rich fashion designer, he's raising a remarkable son, and he's got super loyal employees. But he's also deeply paranoid and in constant morning for his late wife Emilie. If it wasn't for said son and employees supporting him, he might be worse off than in canon.
"BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!" (a battle cry to activate a superhero's transformation, named after He-Man's famous battle cry): To turn into their superhero selves, The team members must say their kwami's name followed by "Transform Moi!" The transformation also fuses them with their kwami and brings out hidden parts of their personality.
Color - Animal Codename: Corbie Noir, Panda Roux, Louve Gris, etcetera.
Costume Porn - SonicPossible gives very detailed descriptions of characters' outfits, especially the hero and akuma costumes.
Creepy Good: Juleka Couffaine aka Corbie Noir looks like a steriotypical goth but is very kind-hearted and life affirming.
Defrosting The Ice Queen (when an cold aloof character becomes friendlier over time) : This is a big part of Chloe's and Kagami's character arcs.
Eldritch Location - The Garden of Ancients is a benevolent example of this, being a bubble universe that runs on Narnia Time, which the heroes use as a training ground.
Epic Speeches: Ladybug often gives these to her teammates right before a big fight. They often contain multiple pop-culture references.
Expy: A new character based on an existing character of a real person. SonicPossible00 has a lot of oc's like this. For example, jerky M Team-hating blogger Amboise Delay is an expy of real-life jerky businessman Donald Trump.
Fanservice: As the series progresses, there are more and more intimant moments between couples. AND BEFORE ANYONE GETS MAD; number 1, nobody has gone past second base, and number 2, the age of consent in France is 15, so everything is legal.
Heart Is a Great Power (when a seemingly useless power ends up saving the day) : Ladybug doesn't have her Lucky Charm in this AU, so her Sixth Sense isn't as flashy as the others' powers. She still figures out genus battle plans with knowledge gained not only from the environment, but from her childhood memories. Likewise Queen Bee was initially disappointed with her "lame" shrinking power, until Sabrina points out it's many benefits.
Karma Houdini (a character who isn't punished for their bad behavior) : Chloe and her mother Audrey are this, which makes their redemption arcs kind of hard to root for. You have to dig deep into your religious teaching to forgive them.
Lonely Rich Kid: Adrien Agreste and Kagami Tsuragi are this. As is Chloe to a lesser extant.
Magical Girls; And Magical Boys. Both this and canon have a lot of Mahou Shoujo elements.
Maniacal Laughter - Almost every villain does this. It's actual surprising when they don't.
Manipulative Bastard: Hawk Moth is this to a T. They way he talks to potential victims is eerily reminesent of a p%&0phile talking to children.
Mentor Mascot: The Kwamis. On top of being cute, these animal spirits have 4000 years' worth of knowledge to impart on their holders.
Meta Humor - References to canon are often made in the form of a joke or hypothetical "what if" discussion, usually to point out differences between the two series.
Mythical Motif - Many of Hawk Moth's akumas are based on mythical of fantastical figures; Ra, Aphrodite, The Leprechaun, Ifrits, etc.
Nice To The Waiter (a high-ranking person treating a server as an equal): Chloe Bourgeois, of all people is this. She frequently reminds her butler Jean to call her Chloe instead of 'Miss Chloe'. Adrien Agreste and rock star Jagged Stone are this too.
No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: The team often combine their powers to deliver this to the Akumas they fight, justified since the best way to deakumatize someone is to knock them unconscious.
Non-Human Mascot: The Kwamis count as this, although neither they nor their holders see them as 'sidekicks'.
Oblivious To Love: Everyone knows about Marinette's and Adrien's secret crushes on each other, except Marinette and Adrien. Then there's Kim Le Chien and Alix Kubdel, who aren't even aware of their own feelings.
Older Than They Look - Master Fu looks 80 at the most, but he's really over 150. Hawk Moth looks middle aged, but is over 200 years old.
Personality Powers (when superpowers match your personality) : Artsy Nathanael can bring drawings to life, goth Juleka can control shadows, big tough Ivan has super strength, timid Mylene has invisibility, Athletes Kim and Alix have giant leaps and super speed respectively.
Power of Teamwork: Combined with the powers of Love and Friendship. The kids plan things out as a team, fight the bad guys as a team, and protect each other as a team.
Protective Kids : All the M Team members are protective of their parents. This is most noticeable in the volume Haute Couture where Chat Noir goes out of his way to protect his dad from the title villain. And in Valentine Lovers where Ladybug does the same with her parents.
Purple is Powerful: There a villainous example in Hawk Moth, who wear all purple, and two heroic examples in Max Kante aka Arachnid and Corbie Noire.
Red is Heroic: Team Leader Ladybug wear all red, as does team member Panda Roux.
Rich B*^ch: Chloe was this before deciding to be a better person. Original Character Jeanne Gagne and her "diamond dogs" still are.
Running Gag (a joke that's repeated throughout a narrative): Aside from the meta humor, there are many scenes of characters spacing out, making a bad pun or 'blushing like a tomato'.
Scenery Porn: Whenever a scene takes place in a certain area of Paris, SP will take a few paragraphs to explain the area's history and significance.
Slasher Smile - Goes with the Maniacal Laughter.
Shipper On Deck (when a character in-universe roots for two characters to get together) : Everyone (even Chloe eventually) ship Adrien and Marinette, and later, they all ship Kim and Alix. Not to mention the team is shipped every every which way by their fans.
Shock and Awe (lightning powers): Hawk Moth has a cattle prod built into his cane, which he uses to torture his lieutenants whenever they fail.
Slinging Shadows (shadow powers): Juleka Couffaine aka Corbie Noir has this power.
Social Darwinist (someone who thinks "Survival of the Fittest" is the same as "Might Makes Right"): Hawk Moth and his lieutenants are this; constantly making speeches about power and the strong ruling the weak.
Stereotype Flip (when a character subverts whatever stereotype is associated with their race, gender, religion, ect.): Chloe and Rose both subvert the Dumb Blonde stereotype, Marinette and Kim, both subvert Asian stereotypes, Max Alya and Nino all subvert Black stereotypes, Miss Caline Bustier subverts the "Teachers are Useless" stereotype, and almost everyone subverts the "Snooty French" stereotype.
Superpowered Evil Side: Being Akumatized is a lot like having a split personality: you black out, go on a magical rampage, and wake up with no memory of what happened.
Taken For Granite (being turned to stone): This version of Hawk Moth spent 200 years as a marble statue before being freed at the beginning of the series.
Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: If it weren't for Hawk Moth, all the teammates would have to worry about is grades, growing up, and romance.
Violently Protective Girlfriend: All the female teammates fight tooth and nail to protect their love interests.
Well-Intentioned Extremist: The villain known as The Collector started out as this. He went downhill very quickly.
World Half-Full (a world with lots of problems but also hopeful): Paris, and the Earth in general, are portrayed as this. Yes, there's a lot of awful, unredeemable people and tragic events, but there's also lots of good people worth protecting.
More tropes to be added as the series progresses.

Watching me some ninja turtles! Rottmnt is soo good man! Love the character design, love the animation, love how fun and colourful it is!
Seeing Leo in his Lou Jitsu outfit made me think of Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Has no one done this yet? I feel like someone else would've made this connection already. Especially with the whole bit surrounding Donnie's drill. 100% believe the rise boys would be super into Gurren Lagann too. It's got everything they love, giant robots, epic battles, space adventures, drills and so forth! :)

Im a bit late but for the ship ask earlier, yariyumi or lancer/archer?
Thank you!!! That's ok, I don't mind. I am glad you asked. also epic Sakura pfp btw!
Yariyumi/ Lancer x Archer (rotating them in my brain like a microwave fr!)
What made you ship it?
This is a good question. To be honest, from the very first fight they had I thought they were really cool; but didn't quite understand the parallels between them or the nuances to their rivalry (I even initially came into Fate by mistaking Cu and Archer for Tohsaka Rin's parallel boyfriends...yes I used to think Cu and Archer were 2 versions of the same guy from different timelines). But one thing that struck me was the symbolism of Cu's spear that pierced the heart, and Rin's Pendant, that brought Emiya back to life...and somehow gave the two guys a rematch as servants within the same timeline that he dies as a teenage guy... (I am confused now XD)
To understand the rivalry between them a little better, I read many posts online and I just love how they interact! The way how they clash over ideals concerning heroism, how Archer goes full sass mode (and stops holding back) whenever he hangs out with Cu; and overall...it is always a joy to watch these two interact. (And being obsessed with both of them helps!)
2. What are your favourite things about the ship?
EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, I am not sure. Maybe their battles and banter. I love how Archer goes out of his way to compliment Cu during the heat of battle, and how he gets under his skin; I greatly enjoy watching the sparks fly between them. In other words, it's all about the inherent eroticism of battle for me. Also the whole red/blue, fated rivals, bi4bi etc etc stuff surrounding them...even their outfits look a bit similar. And there is something EPIC AF about how if one of them is in a holy grail war, the other will be bound to follow soon (most of the time).
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
There are probably many, yes... But there have been things I've misunderstood about Yariyumi as well. I do think the biggest unpopular opinion would just be me believing that actually, these two guys do not hate one another in canon, and get along incredibly well (this can sometimes be a hotly debated facet of the Archer/Lancer debacle). The other things that come to mind was ancient tumblr discourse on who would top and bottom, I personally think I don't mind either way.
Also this may be a super unpopular opinion, but sometimes I wonder if Archer purposely seeks Lancer's attention at times (like when in HA he goes out of his way to acquire a higher quality fishing rod than Lancer, and gloat about his superiority the entire time; even challenging him to a fishing match). I dunno, it just feels to me like Archer has a strong admiration for this guy- probably a mutual one as well, with how Lancer gets frustrated that a bowman as skilled as Archer is completely lacking in a sense of pride.

Digimon Adventure V-Tamer 01 - Disc 9
Finally reached the final volume! Really the only things I got out of this was the art and maybe the omake bits. Didn't care about the characters/plot at all lol. I guess this is a parallel universe so it doesn't contribute much to canon...It was cute though, so no regrets.
Ch. 52
-These "final battle" chapters have been a breeze to get through since it's mostly just action. I'm glad they threw a little bit of strategy in there with Taichi's explanation of the dot matrix though. Makes it feel more well thought out.
-In the previous volume I had complained about the lack of a team, but they did explain how Hideto's previous battle was crucial to winning this one, so I guess that's something. (But Zero and Taichi still have to be number one...)
-The mangaka confirmed my suspicions about Neo being an anagram for One. I guess that was pretty obvious...
Ch. 53
-So we finally see the "super ultimate" form of Arkadimon which I guess is stronger than the mega form? IDK...shit's confusing. The design kind of reminds me of the witches from Madoka. Sort of eldritch looking. I don't understand if his appendages are supposed to be like hair or tentacles...
-Sort of want to see an alternate ending where Neo achieves his goal, just so he can then fall into loneliness and despair when he's all alone in his new world (or would he be OP enough to create fake people? IDK...)
-"God Matrix" was pretty epic, but I feel like it didn't seem all that destructive despite looking like a nuke went off. We lost, what, one digimon? (One named digimon anyway)
Ch. 54
-More deus ex machina stuff. Apparently most overwrites shorten digimon's lifespan, but OH! There's a super-special-secret overwrite, the Alforce, that makes digimon power up through sunshine and rainbows! Riiiight.
-I don't like Zero's Alforce form because he looks kinda soulless now, almost like a bad guy. His "outfit" gives super sentai vibes. It's just kinda all over the place. Also, Mari said "he doesn't look like a dog anymore!" This manga keeps tryna gaslight me into thinking Zero looks like a dog when he never did lol.
-I thought the whole "Neo is doing this because of his sister's accident" thing was already established? I know Rei didn't know, but Sigma?
-Lol at Rei INSTANTLY jumping off a cliff. She didn't even hesitate for a second.
Ch. 55
-Okay, I'm going to say something hypocritical. First I was annoyed that Neo was a flat, evil-for-the-sake-of-it, villain, but now I'm annoyed that he gets to be insta-redeemed for "secretly having his heart in the right place." How are they going to pretend he still cares about his sister at this point? I feel like I could go back and find a bunch of evidence of Neo not giving a shit about Rei anymore (in fact 2 seconds ago he was carelessly tossing nukes in her direction), but oh well. I get the vibe that this franchise really likes redemption arcs.
-Lol guess Demon is the final boss after all! What a twist! I like his super ultimate look, very Go Nagai looking. Too bad his name is kinda stupid. Will Neo help fight him? (Somehow...without a partner...)
Ch. 56
-Ugh, they're doing that really tedious shounen power escalation thing. Every other chapter it's like "yes, we've powered up, no one could possibly beat us!" and then "What's this? An even STRONGER digimon!? And they know that legendary, ultra powerful technique!? This is our toughest battle yet!" and then a stronger mon/ability shows up and so on and so forth. I think the digi-formula is to drag the battle on a liiiiiittle past the point of annoying the audience to make things feel more climactic.
-They tried to give Demon some nuance by pulling the whole "liberation from tamers" schtick. I feel like there's not a ton of merit to it since it's the digimon that called the humans into their world in the first place.
-Demon says "humans created us!" I guess in this version of digimon the v-pets exist, so true (but then some just came outta nowhere like Zero?)
Ch. 57
-Okay, I'm glad they used the already established digimental's power instead of introducing more new, innate ancient digimon powers. Super ultimate Zero doesn't look super different from his prior form. It's maybe a slight improvement, but not very noticeable...
-We get a redeemed!Neo moment. I still kinda wish he'd answer for his crimes more, but maybe that comes later. They're kinda busy right now lol
-The digimental looks pretty different from the ones in the anime. Reminds me of an exsphere (from Tales of Symphonia)
Ch. 58
-This was a pretty paint-by-numbers ending. The day is saved, everyone celebrates and then the kids have to go back to their world. One element that set this apart from the anime is that there's still the v-pet element so Taichi is technically still acting as Zero's tamer. How things look from Zero's POV we'll never know.
-The ending reveal of everyone's human world counterparts threw me back to Dot Hack, especially with Rei in her wheelchair. Sigma without a mask was cute, I like how there's some subtle shipping with him and Mari in the background.
Omake - A New Courage
-Lol Taichi and Taichi, now we're getting REALLY meta! They did a good job of visually distinguishing the two Taichi's while still making them nearly identical. The art was definitely the most fun part about this omake.
-Agumon looked soooo cute in this ;w; so tiny next to Zero! And he gets to ride on his shoulders <3
-Why did Zero devolve (de-digivolve?) in this? I thought in the manga universe that wasn't a thing...
-The excuse for the plot this time was pretty lame "oh, the humans are making viruses and stuff so that manifested in our world," yeah whatever. Again, it kind of annoys me how anime!Taichi just instantly agrees to help with a battle that could take ages when he should be more concerned if he'll ever see his friends again.
Overall this was like a C+ experience. Perfectly serviceable, but not super memorable. In MAL terms I give it like a 5 outta 10. What do you call shounen for younger kids anyways? Super shounen? Baby shounen? There's gotta be a term out there...

GameInfoX 🥳 Super Cool Animation Effects & Hero Customization Well, a game that uses anime and game popular motifs and is filled with beautiful heroines is even better! During this game, these heroines have super cool animation effects! The two heroes also bring with them their form of fighting and some of them have a special animation that makes the game very interesting. Furthermore, it also has different ambient background music according to each fight that brings out the mood for the battle. 🎶 By the way, there are still hero bathing suits to buy which are unlocked by gaming the game for a certain number of hours. This simply raises the level of intimacy with a heroine which in return allows the favorite girls to have an even more tailored appearance by making figure acquirement of special costumes and other features. Yet, when you build a relationship with them they have more in store for you. Interested in the top heroines in the game? This determines the Girls War Tier List which will help you know the characters that are considered to be strong. 💖 Bond with Your Favorite Heroines Thus, the sequence of characteristics in Girl Wars is quite meaningful: the relationships are important. You are going to meet many warm-hearted and sometimes humorous events in the course of the happenings. The series is full of adorable scenes, involving ice beauties becoming hyperactive after consuming energy drinks to maids dressed cutely in their servant costumes. 🌸 If you want to know how to gain more awards just read on further. Things I read/watched/listened to this year:
Books:
When the Angels left the Old Country by Sacha Lamb—loved this so much! I read it in one sitting
The Raven Cycle & Dreamer Trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater—read these as fast as I could get them from the library & then read tons of posts about them. I’m a little sad I didn’t read them when they were coming out, it might have been fun to be in the fandom
His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik—kind of bored me. I don’t like battle scenes 😔
Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones—I forgot how much I love her books. This one was not my favorite but it was still good
Reread In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan and liked it much better than the first time. I actually started at the end and kind of read backwards scene by scene
Reread The Blue Castle for tumblr book club—still one of my favorite books & I loved seeing all the posts
Finished Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation—lived up to my expectations & I don’t know what people were on thinking the extra stories were problematic
Reading List:
System Collapse by Martha Wells as soon as it comes in from the library
The Phantom of the Opera
The Code of the Woosters—it’s in my backpack right now. I’ll probably read it on the train
Annihilation—my sister has a big omnibus of the whole trilogy—I could read this on the train too
I might read The Witch King by Martha Wells but maybe not
Webcomics:
Tiger, Tiger—amazing! Sooo many great characters. I love them all
Go Get a Roomie—loved it
Inhibit—really love these characters too & interesting premise
Long Exposure—amazingly the first time I’ve read it
Recoil by Spire Eaton—way darker than it seems at first
Phantomarine—wonderful art style with beautiful colors
Vainglorious—very funny
The Less than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal
Ride or Die—really good with again, great characters
This is Not Fiction—I’ve been following this since 2013. It’s actually the thing that first cured me of homophobia
Reading List:
Sakana—read it in 2016 and need to get caught up
Goth Western
Paranatural—my littlest brothers insist—I actually read it in 2015 but I need to get caught up
Demons Mirror—recommendation from my little brother
Watching:
Filmed production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall—over and over and over ten million times—this is the first time I’ve ever watched it and I love it so so much. I’m constantly singing the songs
The Phantom of the Opera 2005–Christine’s outfits were beautiful
The Phantom of the Opera 1925–silent film—it was fun but phantom really wants to be a musical
Rewatched Annie 1982–I love Carol Burnett so much
Annie 2014–it was meh. They took out way too many songs
Started watching a filmed production of Annie but I haven’t finished it yet
Buster Keaton’s Steamboat Bill jr.—super funny & I was laughing out loud the whole time, then I showed it to my family & they loved it too
Started watching Revolutionary Girl Utena & I’m really liking it so far. I was very surprised when Utena had a ‘protagonist’ voice instead of a ‘cool girl’ voice 😄
Started watching My Fair Lady in the car on the way to thanksgiving & haven’t finished it. Mr Higgins is so infuriating!—I read the play when I was a teenager & it’s so interesting to notice all the lines I remember
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes—it was fine. “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” was pretty good. Jane Russell is so hot
Watched a bit of Bocchi the rock but I don’t think I’ll finish it
Watch list:
Fiona and Cake
Cats
I might watch Love Never Dies just for the songs
Once Upon a Mattress—I love Carol Burnett
Listened to:
Jesus Christ Superstar—favorite
The Phantom of the Opera—many different versions many different times
Various ballets by Tchaikovsky
I’m bad at finding music I like 😔
