top 5 supergirl episodes?
full disclosure i haven't seen the entirety of supergirl (ive literally only seen like 7 eps & its all season 1) so this list will probably change over time (bc im starting to painstakingly watch the show - imagine slowburn but watching a series) however ive watched like a ridiculous amount of supercorp edits so im going to base my choices on the parts where supercorp exist ha!
5. Season 1 - Red Faced
Tumblr media
this would probably be the only none supercorp related yet still somehow my personal fave for a few reasons. i love this scene in particular bc it shows that cat grant cares for kara and what cat says here is very relatable. no matter how harsh cat can be at times, cat was a girl's girl here. she gave an advice which was helpful to both supergirl and kara. she had every right to rip kara viciously apart but instead she took a completely different route. i like the line she says here.
"You really need to figure out what's really bothering you." "You really need to find that anger behind the anger. And you really need to figure out what's really making you mad."
i think this was also the ep where kara acknowledged where some of the anger was coming from. even with zero dialogue and with mel's incredible acting skills she was able to convey so much emotions during that scene where she releases all her anger towards the red tornato. From losing her parents, losing her planet —her home, for losing everything and maybe even angry with her parents for the choices they made for her. it was such an incredible and very emotional scene.
im putting the rest in read more bc of how unnecessarily long this post has become
4. Season 2 - "The Adventures of Supergirl"
Tumblr media
this should be easy. this was the first time kara met lena and changed the trajectory of every queer person watching this show and lena first delivered the first of many many questionably fruity (gay) lines fjlkajdla
"You couldn't have fooled me."
Tumblr media
also bc of this scene thank you very much
3. Season 2 - "Luthors"
Tumblr media
if there is one particular scene that convinced me to even give supergirl the time of day its obvs this one and lena "suspiciously straight" luthor delivered one of the most iconic lines on television in my opinion and now forever engraved in my mind. let's not forget lcorp CEO lena luthor took the time of day to fill catco employee kara danver's office with flowers like it's a regular tuesday but oh well
"now you'll have someone to stand up for you. always" "supergirl might have saved me but kara danvers, you are my hero."
screaming, crying, throwing up
2. Season 2 - "Exodus"
Tumblr media
tada! i mean, look at it! how heroic! i also find it funny how grateful and confused lena was that kara danvers was having coffee with supergirl late at night but still
Season 2 - Ace Reporter
so this isnt at all groundbreaking bc honestly, 5 isn't enough and anything that has supercorp will be my favorite even though again i havent seen the rest of supergirl yet but we're ignoring canon so we're ignoring that fact too. i think this was the ep where kara was comforting lean about jack's death. i personally have a love and hate relationship towards this scene for many reasons but im a sucker for supercorp and there was a clip where kara hesitated and looked like she was about to plant a kiss on lena's head but then hugged her instead and i think its beautiful and im a sucker for kara leaning in towards lena
Tumblr media
BONUS:
im too lazy to figure out where these clips are from which episode but this. i love every scene and its more like these below are my reasons for watching supergirl and has nothing to do with being my top 5 bwahaha
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh did i mention i also happen to have a weird obsession with superrojas i will not rest until i reach the ep where andrea rojas exist

It’s called agony, honestly.
Part 3 of T is for Trauma - The Series
Supercorp, Kara Danvers x Daughter!Reader, Lena Luthor x Daughter!Reader
Word count: 2510.
Warnings: All aboard the angst train.
Notes: This is happening at the same time of part 2, but from a different perspective.
Previously on the series – part 1, part 2
“Guys, I brought dinner!” Kara yells going into the kitchen and Lena walks in a while later. Kara is setting the table and already has a potsticker in her mouth, she looks behind Lena. “Where’s our little moody teenager?”
“I don’t know. I just got home.” Lena goes to Kara and they kiss, lovingly. “She’s probably in her room, on her phone, trying to ignore us. Is it weird that exactly when she turned 16, she started being moody?”
“It took her long enough.” Kara smiles, then kisses Lena one more time. “I’ll go check on her, don’t touch my potstickers.” She points at Lena with a smile, who rolls her eyes in response. Kara runs to your bedroom, and knocks on the door. “Hey, kid. Food is here.” No answer. “Kid! Come on!”
When she doesn’t hear anything back, and doesn’t see you inside with her x-ray vision, she opens the door unceremoniously to investigate inside.
“Kid, that’s not funny. Where are you?”
When she finally realizes you’re not in your room, she comes back to the kitchen, looking confused with her furrowed brows. Lena looks back at her.
“She’s not home.” Kara announces it. She used her x-ray vision; she is sure you’re not around.
“What do you mean she’s not home? It’s really late.” Lena points at the clock, like Kara doesn’t know it’s way past your time to be home. She then goes to the refrigerator to look at the calendar on the door. “Was there something at school? It’s not on the calendar.”
“Not that I know of. She doesn’t have training today either. Did you see her at L Corp today?”
“No. I had to ask them to stop letting me know when she was there, remember?” Lena looks back at Kara who looks like it’s seconds away from panicking. “Just call her. Maybe she’s distracted with something.”
Kara takes her phone out of her pocket and tries calling you. No answer.
“She’s not picking up.” Kara is now on the verge of a breakdown, and Lena knows it, just by how her eyebrows look.
“Keep trying. Let me call Jamie.” Lena goes to the living room where her phone is, and Kara follows her closely, phone still on her ear, as she is trying to call you again. “Jamie.”
“Hey, aunt Lena.”
“Hey hun, is your cousin with you?”
“uh…No?”
“When was the last time you saw her?”
“When we left school. Why? Is everything alright?”
“Did she tell you where she was heading to?”
“Yeah, she was going to L Corp to talk to you. Why? What happened? Did you two talk?”
“No. But do you know the reason for the conversation?”
“I mean, yeah, but… I think it’s best if you and aunt Kara talk to her first.”
“Ok. Well, thank you, Jamie.” Lena hangs up and looks at Kara ready to pass the information along, but Kara already heard everything.
“I’m going to L Corp. Keep trying her phone.” Kara flies out the window and Lena tries to call you and texting you a few times.
It doesn’t take long, maybe a little more than five minutes, for Kara to call Lena again with news.
“She’s not at her lab, and I asked around L Corp and she hasn’t stepped foot in here today.” Kara's heart is beating incredibly fast, and her hands shake so much she almost drops her phone a few times. Lena sits on the couch at home, her own heart going crazy, and she allows herself to have the same reaction Kara is having. Something is wrong. She was trying to ignore her mother's sense, but now she can’t anymore. They don’t talk for a full minute. “Lena. What do we do?”
“The watch.” It’s like they even forgot about all of that. Lena runs to her laptop, while Kara looks at her own watch to see your location in it. She doesn’t even take the phone out of her ear. “She’s close.”
“Yeah, I’m tracking her on the necklace’s GPS and it seems she’s around L Corp.” Lena agrees, and Kara uses her super speed to get to you. But, it’s not you.
“Lena…” Kara bends down to grab both the watch and the necklace from the ground. “It’s on the sidewalk, both watch and necklace together.”
“What? She never takes off the necklace.”
“I don’t think she took it off.” Kara flies high, phone still in her hand and glued to her ear. “Call Alex, go to the DEO, I’m going to fly around to see if I can locate her. I’ll see you there in a few.”
When they talk again, it’s already on the DEO. Alex, Brainy and Lena are all there. As soon as Kara lands and Lena doesn’t see you with her, she starts crying. Kara goes to her and hugs her, trying to calm her down, but it’s hard when she is fighting her own tears.
“We’ll find her.” She whispers on Lena’s head and turns to Alex, waiting for good news.
“Maybe you should try flying around the planet?” It’s Alex's suggestion and Kara breaths heavily, knowing there’s no good news yet.
“I did. Twice.” She looks at Brainy. “Any portals to different dimensions were open today? Any readings on fifth dimension magic?” Brainy has already denied both options. “If someone took her, they have kryptonite. Any luck on that lead?”
“Still looking into that.” Brainy says and goes back to the computer. Alex gives a couple of steps towards your moms, holds Kara’s arm, squeezing it lightly.
“We’re going to find her.” Alex says reassuringly. She then goes to where Brainy is, leaving Kara and Lena alone to talk.
“Do you think she-she…” Lena’s lips are trembling, her hands are shaking so much, and there are so many tears her entire face is wet. “She ran away from us?”
“No! Lena, no!” Kara says, grabbing each side of Lena’s arms, and she shakes her head in denial. “No! She wouldn’t have left everything in the middle of the sidewalk like that. Not the necklace.”
“But she was so upset yesterday, and it’s our fault. Kara! Kara, it’s our fault. We let our baby down.” Lena sobs desperately. “What if she wanted to leave? What if she doesn’t want us to find her?”
“Hey, hey. That didn’t happen. I know she was mad, but she wouldn’t ditch everything on the sidewalk like that, she would’ve left it home or… Lena, love. It was just a stupid fight; she wouldn’t run away from us.” Kara says, but it’s not how she really feels, she is just saying that to reassure your mom. In her heart she knows they let you down. “And you heard Jamie, she wanted to go to L Corp to talk to you. So she couldn’t be that mad-”
“She might have changed her mind.” Lena says before she’s finished. Kara looks down, and then around. She breaths deep a couple of times knowing that if the two of them get desperate at the same time, nothing will get done.
“Lena.” Kara holds her tight. “I think I would rather have her run away from us and be safe, than the scenario I’m playing in my mind right now.”
“You don’t think I have that scenario too?” Lena tries to let go of her embrace, but Kara keeps her in, protectively. “I have every scenario playing in my head. I have everyone who could harm her listed in my head, and I-I should’ve figured out a way to put a microchip inside her. This is all my fault.”
“Love, we’re going to find her.” Kara kisses her forehead, and that makes Lena cry even harder thinking that’s how they sooth you. “I’m going to fly around again. Maybe I missed something.”
“Please. Kara, please, find our baby. Please.” Lena asks desperately and Kara’s heart shrinks even more.
“I’ll do whatever I can, love.” She kisses Lena, and yells at Alex on the other side of the room. “Find every building made out of lead. I’ll burst into every single one of them if I have to.”
“We’ll cross data with readings of Kryptonite.” Alex answers and Kara leaves right after.
“Tell me how I can help.” Lena asks both of the DEO agents, aggressively wiping her tears away. They both look at her with pity in their eyes.
“Lena-” Alex starts, but your mom doesn’t let her finish.
“Alex, don’t. Your daughter is home, safe and sound. You’re not allowed to do that, to look at me like that!”
“Little boxes, comrade.” Brainy jumps in, trying to help. Her eyes are filled with tears instantly.
“No offense Brainy, but there isn’t a box big enough for this. Just-Just please. I can’t sit around and do nothing. Please, tell me what to do.” She pleads in so much agony, Alex can’t ignore it.
“Come here.” Alex sits her in front of a big screen. “Kryptonite usually leaves a signature, but it disappears after a few hours. Jamie was the last one to see her, and that was after school. So, we’re having a hard time scanning for kryptonite. Brainy is looking at lead covered buildings, I’m looking into surveillance cameras on the way to L Corp. Can you keep scanning for kryptonite?”
“Yes. I’ll do it.” Lena goes back to the computer. Hearts jumping in her chest in anticipation.
She has to find you. She has to tell you that you were right. She promised she would be at your science fair, and she should’ve left everything and everyone behind, and kept her word. You’re the most important person in her life. No business deal is worth having you disappointed at her. And you were right, she was being selfish. She gave you a lab at L Corp to have you around her, while she could work at the same time. That wasn’t fair to you, it wasn’t quality time, since her mind wasn’t there with you. She has to find you. She has to apologize; she has to hug you and tell you she loves you. She has to.
“Alex, tell me you found something.” Kara comes back to the DEO after a few more rounds around the planet. It didn’t take her long to do so, but lucky for her, Alex has new leads.
“Surveillance camera.” Alex points at the big screen in front of them. Kara sees someone throwing you inside a van, and dropping your belongings on the floor. “You can try to find the van, there’s too many places with lead around here.”
“I’ll try that first, but keep going on the lead hiding spots.” Kara looks at Lena before flying away again. She is not crying anymore, but her eyes and face are still red and puffy. Kara wants to stop and comfort her, but she can’t, not unless she finds you. Until you’re back in their arms, there’s nothing she can say or do to comfort your mom, or herself.
Kara flies out again, knowing what to look for now. It takes her a while but she finds the van dumped on the side of a dark road. She opens the van with so much anger, the door comes out in her hand, leaving a hole where it used to be its place.
You’re not inside. There’s no one inside. Kara grunts in frustration and holds the bottom of the van, flipping it over in agony.
She can’t believe she hasn’t found you yet. She feels her heart squeezing in her chest and tears falling without her consent. It’s her fault you’re missing, that’s the only thing in her mind right now. If she wasn’t Supergirl, if she hadn’t pissed off so many people in this life, you wouldn’t be in this situation. She knows, by looking at your face in the video, that you were in so much pain because of kryptonite. There you were, in pain, and where was she when you needed her again? Why does this keep happening? Why can’t she ever protect you? This is all her fault, it’s all her fault. Kara’s heat vision explodes the van, while her mind plays tricks on her.
She flies high in the sky to look around. There is no place around where you could be, they ditched the van to trick her.
“Kara, get back to the DEO now.” She hears on her earpiece and she sure never flew so fast in her life before.
“What is it?” She asks appearing before them, out of the blue, making all three of them jump in surprise.
“The van?” Lena asks and Kara’s response is a head shake in denial.
“Dumped on the side of the road.” She looks at Brainy who’s currently looking for a way to focus on something in his tablet. “What is it?”
“Caught a message.” He says mysteriously. He puts whatever is in his tablet on the TVs in front of them. “It could be from anyone. It’s morse code.”
“Does she know morse code?” Kara looks at Lena who shrugs her response.
“It says. G-O-T. L-I-L-1.” Brainy looks back at them. “Does any of that means something to you?”
“It’s her.” Kara says, feeling her heart jumping in her chest. “Little one. It’s her.” She looks back at Lena. “Lena. It’s her!”
“What does G-O-T mean? Any idea?” Alex asks, going to her own tablet.
“I don’t know.” Lena sits in front of the computer again, typing furiously to find out. Everyone is silent for a few minutes, until Kara opens her mouth. “KARA, if you say Game of Thrones, I swear to GOD-”
“The van.” Kara looks at Alex, and then back at the message. “The van was on the road to Gotham.”
“Gotham.” Lena stands up fast. “Our baby is in Gotham.”
“Kara, wait!” Alex manages to hold her hand just in time before she flies away. “If they took her, they have Kryptonite, you said it yourself. You can’t go alone. You need a team.”
“Alex, the more she is exposed to Kryptonite, the less chance she has to survive.”
“I know. Brainy call J’onn! Kara, let me get some heavy armory. Supergirl doesn’t kill, but Agent Danvers sure does when someone messes with her family.” Alex says leaving everyone behind. Brainy is already talking to J’onn. Kara looks back at Lena, hearing both of their hearts jumping in anticipation.
“Supergirl might kill.” Kara mumbles with so much anger, it sends a shiver through Lena’s spine.
“Honey, listen to me.” Lena holds her arms. “I hate them just as much as you do, but don’t do it. Get our daughter, bring her home. That’s it. That’s the only thing you have to do. Let everyone else care about whoever did this to her.” Kara reluctantly agrees with her head. “This is your only mission. Bring our baby home.”
“I promise.” Kara brings Lena’s hand to her mouth and kisses it, gently. “I’ll bring our baby home if it’s the last thing I do.”

From the prompt-list: 28. things you said in the dark for supercorp If you wanna, all the best 💛
The first time Kara spends the night it's a movie in Lena's apartment, which turns into two movies, which turns into a conversation soft and quiet on the couch until the evening has stretched on for so long that it's technically morning. Lena's cheeks have taken on a lingering rose color, perhaps from the wine or perhaps from Kara's fingers absently stroking her hip where her shirt's ridden up. Kara isn't drunk - Lena isn't sure Krpytonians can get drunk on Earth - but she is tired. Her voice is thick, her train of thought somewhat difficult to follow when she speaks, and Lena is delighed but not surprised to learn that her best friend becomes even more physically affectionate when she's sleepy.
"Stay here tonight," Lena murmurs when Kara trails off, eyes fluttering closed, in the middle of a sentence. "I don't think you should fly."
Kara shifts against Lena's shoulder. "I don't think I should leave you," she mumbles. "Never leave you. Just. Just moving in right here where it's warm, just. You smell nice."
Lena runs her hands through Kara's hair and luxuriates in the way she shifts and sighs into Lena's neck. "I think," Lena whispers, "That you should leave me long enough to change out of that bra because I know for a fact you've got popcorn stuck down there, and then I think you should come to bed. You can fly home in the morning."
Kara peers down her own shirt with a frown and then pouts. "There is popcorn down there, how did that happen?"
They both know how that happened, so Lena doesn't comment. Instead she tugs her best friend unsteadily to her feet and chuckles as Kara leans into her, pretending she isn't the most powerful being on the planet just for a moment, just for comedic effect, or perhaps just because she wants an excuse to wrap Lena up in her arms again. And then they make their way to the bedroom and Kara hesitates in the doorway because in all their time together she's never been here, in this space.
"The entire super team could sleep here comfortably," Kara comments, some of the drowsiness gone from her voice.
Lena laughs. "You are the only member of the super team allowed in that bed. Here, this will probably fit you." She tosses an old MIT shirt at Kara and then has to turn around quickly when Kara begins to strip directly in front of her like it's no big deal. Well, maybe it is no big deal for friends who don't secretly want to put their mouths on friends, but Lena doesn't fall into that camp, so she digs out a clean sleep shirt for herself too even though she's already in pajamas and she's not the one with popcorn boobs.
"I'm not the only one," Kara says.
"Hmm?"
"You said I'm the only member of the super team allowed in your bed." Kara flops down, hands behind her head, ankles crossed, and fixes Lena with a stare. Lena doesn't quite meet her eyes, distracted by the way her MIT shirt is just a half size too small for Kara, the way she can count every one of those abs through the fabric, the way those arms are outlined through the- "But you forgot you're a member of the super team too," Kara continues. "So that's two of us."
Lena is pretty sure even the tips of her ears are red. She's going to pretend that's about Kara reminding her that she's included and not at all about the way Kara looks in her clothes. She hesitates before stripping her own shirt off, her back to Kara. It would seem strange to step into the bathroom to change now and she doesn't want to make Kara uncomfortable by displaying her own discomfort, so she pulls the clean shirt on quickly, turns off all but the bedside lamp, and scoots under the covers before she can entertain any more vaguely inappropriate thoughts.
There is plenty of room for the two of them to spread out and never come close to touching one another. That's always been important for Lena: a bed big enough to share without having to  touch anyone, because Lena has never been able to fall asleep in the presence of another but it's rude to throw a partner out after sex. Still, maybe in this moment she wishes she'd opted for a smaller, more reasonably sized mattress. Maybe she wants to spend a sleepless night with her back just touching Kara's, feeling her presence, feeling her breath rise and fall peacefully in the dark.
What a stupid, sappy thought. Lena abruptly turns out the bedside lamp, plunging the room into near perfect darkness, and covers her huff with a "Goodnight, Kara."
"Goodnight," Kara mumbles.
If Kara sounds a little stiff, Lena chalks it up to exhaustion.
///
The clock reads 3:58 AM when Lena wakes to what she first thinks is a long, gentle earthquake. The bed is shaking but nothing on the walls is rattling so Lena stays where she is until she hears a distinct sniffle in the dark. Kara. This isn't an earthquake; it's a Kryptonian crying.
Lena fumbles awkwardly across the bed in the dark until her fingers brush Kara's shoulder. Kara is curled up small, her arms closed across her chest.
"Nightmares?" Lena asks. She slides a hand across Kara's forearm to soothe her and then, when Kara doesn't resist, presses herself close against her back. Kara snuggles back into her immediately, threads their fingers together, tangles their ankles.
"I'm okay," Kara whispers.
"Yes, that's why you're crying at 4am: because you're okay."
"I'm sorry I woke you. I didn't mean to."
Lena hums and presses a kiss to the back of Kara's head. As if she could ever be angry with this warm sleepy goof for waking her. Please.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Lena asks.
Kara takes a deep, trembling breath. "You have to promise not to laugh at me," she says.
"I promise," Lena replies, steeling herself. If Kara is crying about something like puppies or potstickers in the middle of the night, it's going to be a difficult promise to keep.
But then Kara whispers, "I'm scared of the dark" so softly that Lena might have missed it if she weren't holding her so close, and her heart breaks a little at the sound of those words tumbling out. She pulls Kara a little closer.
"Oh, darling. You should have said so."
"I didn't want you to think- I didn't want to be a bother."
"You didn't want me to think you were a coward," Lena fills in. "Do you want me to turn the light on?" And then, when Kara's grip tightens around her, she asks, "Have you always been scared of the dark?"
"No," Kara mumbles. She rolls over and buries her face in Lena's shoulder, fingers grasping Lena's shirt. "I know it's stupid; I'm not a little kid. Please don't laugh at me."
"I'm not laughing. Are you sure you don't want me to get the light?"
"I don't want you to let me go."
They lay together that way for a long time, until the bed stops shaking, until Kara's breath becomes even and soft again, until Lena feels comfortable enough to start stroking Kara's hair in the silence. Kara sighs into her the way she did on the couch, and Lena thinks that perhaps this should be a regular part of their friendship.
"Twenty four years," Kara whispers. "I was in the dark, alone, for twenty four years. And I-" She shudders. "I sleep with a nightlight. It's childish, but-"
"It's not," Lena interrupts. "It's not. Especially after what you've been through. I'm sorry I didn't know."
Kara half shrugs in her arms. "I'm sorry I never told you." And then, after a long silence, she says, "I don't need you to turn the light on."
"No?"
"No. It's not so bad when you're with me." Kara leans up to press a gentle kiss to Lena's jaw, and Lena thinks that if that is going to be a regular part of their friendship, she and Kara are going to have to have a talk about the meaning of the word.
But she puts that thought aside to stroke soothing patterns across Kara's back. "I'll always be with you," she whispers. "You never have to be alone in the dark again."
Lena is surprised when she wakes. Surprised because she fell asleep so easily with Kara in her arms that she doesn't remember falling asleep at all, and surprised because Kara is still tangled up in her when morning breaks, snoring softly, one arm draped across Lena's waist.
Lena orders a nightlight after breakfast. Just in case.
///
Thank you for the ask!

Can you do a little supercorp one-shot based on the song Classy Girl from The Lumineers please?
“Don’t even think about it,” Winn mutters to Kara before taking a swig of his beer. They were leaning against the bar counter. It was a crowded night, Kara had never been at this side of the city before,  the air thick with that usual smell of sweat and cigar smoke.
“W-what? I wasn’t even doing anything, what are you talking about?” Kara protests although her face screams guilty, as if she and Winn had had this conversation a million times before and she had been caught a million times before.
“You’ve been staring at her like you wanna devour her. Trust me she’s not the girl you want on your list of conquests.”
“Lists of conquest?! Wha-?! I. Do. Not. Have. A list of conquests, Winslow,” Kara scoffs out, irritated that, yes,  they are indeed having this conversation again.
“Lucy, Siobhan, Imr-”
“Shut up, Winn.”
“Thought so,” Winn retorts, but Kara is still pointedly staring not even trying at subtlety,
“But I’m serious, Kara. Not her.”
“Why not? Who is she, anyway?”
“Lena.”
“Mm. Pretty name for a pretty face, who is she, Winn?”
“She’s a Luthor, Kara.”
At that, Kara’s eyes snap back at her and Winn feels a bit of relief at the slightest sign of interest in his warning.
“She’s Lex’s precious sister, if Lex doesn’t skin you alive himself, Lois probably will.”
“Lois? As in Lois Lane? As in Kal’s Lois Lois? What’s she got to do with it?”
“What do you mean what’s she got to do with it? Kara, Lex almost got Clark killed. You do know that, right?” Winn says in disbelief at Kara’s obliviousness.
All of a sudden flashes of frantic phone calls from Lois and Martha appear in her mind, Kal bruised and battered, the Danvers immediately taking her away, Eliza mumbling about El’s and Lu-
Luthor.
Oh. Luthors. Lex, Lena. They’re The Luthors.
“Oh,” Kara says dumbly.
“Yes, ‘oh’, now you know. So, don’t even think about it Kara.”
Winn turns around to face the bartender, signaling for another pint while continuing to talk Kara out of a potential disaster.
“How about that waitress earlier? The one who called you hand-”
When he turns around his friend is nowhere to be found and his eyes search the bar in alarm.
And there, in the far side of the bar—the one spot Kara has been eyeing all night—is his friend slowly sauntering her way through. Headed for one Lena Luthor no doubt. Winn fights the urge to clap a hand to his forehead in frustration.
***
“Finally found the courage to talk to me?”
Are the first words tossed at Kara as she comes face to face with Lena Luthor.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Kara says, a charming smile in place.
“If you don’t pretend as if you haven't been eyeing me all night, I won’t pretend as if I didn’t enjoy having your eyes on me all night.”
Lena raises a perfect brow at Kara and it’s a miracle that her knees haven’t given out.
She parts her lips to respond but no words come out and her mind blanks. No lady has ever rendered her speechless before, it was always the other way around.
“Cat got your tongue, Miss?” Lena purrs, smug smirk growing
“Danvers. Kara Danvers.”
Kara manages to choke out, Lena makes a face at the name as if in recognition.
“Any relation to Alexandra Danvers?”
Kara tries to hide her shock and fails spectacularly so, of course Lena would know about the Danvers.
“Sister,” She answers to which Lena says, “I didn’t know Alex has a sister.”
Kara loosens up at that, if Lena knew her as Danvers that means she has no idea she’s Kal’s cousin, no idea Lena’s brother almost killed the only biological family she has left. She doesn’t want the burden of that hanging over them at their first meeting.
“Adopted,” She clarifies and for a moment she wonders if she should be concerned that all her brain is capable of at the moment are one word answers.
“Hmm. Well, tell your sister to be more discreet about her,” Lena pauses as if searching for the right word as Kara waits in confusion.
“-late night activities, especially if she’s going to involve Samantha Arias.”
Kara feels panic when Lena’s words finally click into place, Alex hasn’t even told Eliza about that, she certainly hasn't told Kara. Kara only knew because she made the mistake of passing Alex’s room in the middle of the night, back in Midvale and moans reached her ears, too breathy and too feminine to be a boyfriend.
“How did you know about that?” Kara asks a bit hostile, when it comes to Alex and she’d do anything even if it means not getting the girl for once, if it meant keeping Alex’s sexuality quiet till she’s ready to tell.
“No need to be so feisty, darling, Sam is my best friend. And let’s just say Luthors don’t like it when the people they care about are put in complicated situations,” Lena explains and she doesn’t miss the implications of the name ‘Luthor’ next to the phrase, ‘don’t like’.
Kara feels like she should be more concerned about Lena knowing these things especially if they just met, especially with the history between Lex and Clark but she called her ‘darling’ and Kara couldn’t care less about any of that.
“Now, that we got that over with, would you care for a dance?”
She extends a hand out as her confidence surges again, only for Lena to stare at it, promptly ignore it and throw Kara off her game all over again.
“Start small, Kara. How about a drink?” she smoothly evades as she hands Kara a bottle of beer, a Kangaroo on the label.
Kara’s hand wraps around the neck of the bottle firmly, to fight off the longing of Lena’s hands in hers.
And so, Kara takes her advice and she starts small. Asking Lena all the right questions and successfully avoiding any talk related to their familial background and Lena had never been more grateful. She learns that Lena doesn’t have a favorite constellation, how she writes her name on the first page of all of her books, how she doesn’t do breakfast and Kara realizes she never wants to know a person more than she does with Lena. Maybe, Winn was right. Maybe she really doesn’t want Lena to be just another name in her list of conquests.
***
Either Kara had never heard of the Luthors before or she simply did not care, Lena did not know what to make of that,  but what matters is that she has never felt this open with another human being before.
There was a pull when it came to Kara. She felt it the first moment her eyes landed on the blonde only to find her staring back at her. She watched her all night talk to a man, half-afraid that they were something more. But when she caught Kara staring again for the nth time that night—clear intent behind her eyes—Lena’s doubts fell away.
“Enough about me, how about you? How come this is the first time I’m hearing of another Danvers in town?”
Kara knew they would eventually reach that. When she was thirteen she was whisked off to the Danvers, her family was gone, pain was all she knew, Clark was too caught up in his life and Metropolis was the least safest place to be for Kara. But when things finally quieted down and the Danvers decided to move back to Metropolis, she didn’t come. Deciding to stay in Midvale for college instead. And then finally moving to National City to pursue Journalism. She spent almost 5 years in the glory of being CatCo’s top reporter, only to be called back to Metropolis because of Jeremiah’s frail health.
“A journalist. I should be wary of you, you know,” Lena whispers their lips a breadth apart, her hands scratching the blonde baby hairs at Kara’s nape, Kara’s hands finding their place on Lena’s hips. Kara finally got her dance and she knows if she leaned in she’d taste the beer on Lena’s lips.
“There’s nothing to be wary about. I’d never hurt you, Lena.”
It was such a heavy statement to say considering they’ve only known each other for 4 hours. But there was something inside Kara that says this was right.
Whatever is happening or is going to happen between them, it’s right.
That instinct had never failed her as a reporter before, even got her a Pulitzer so, why should she stop listening to it now?
She stares into Lena’s emerald eyes and slowly closes the gap…
Only for her lips to land on Lena’s cheek.
She turned her face in the last minute! Kara feels the vibrations of laughter roll off Lena.
Lena slowly tilts her head towards Kara again and Kara doesn’t bother hiding the confusion on her face.
“What? I’m sorry did I read things wrong? I totally should’ve asked for con-”
Lena removes one hand from the back of her head to press a finger to Kara’s lips.
“Classy girls don’t kiss in bars, you fool.”
***
“Do you remember the night we met?”
“Mm. Yes, you abandoned Winn for me, he’s still holding a grudge against you for that, did you know? He told me himself.”
Kara laughs and Lena feels more than hears as she presses herself closer to Kara; naked skin to naked skin, sheets sliding and hair messy.
“Remember what you did that night?”
“No, what?”
“You denied me a kiss because according to you, ‘Classy girls don’t kiss in bars, you fool’.”
It was Lena’s turn to laugh this time.
“Did I really say that? God, what a pretentious line, I should’ve let you kiss me instead.”
“You know what was running through my head even though you did that?”
“Mmno, what?”
“I thought, the hardest part is over. Like even if I don’t get a kiss tonight, it would be fine. Because I had already met you, I’ve found you and the hardest part is over.”
“That was as pretentious as my line, darling.”
“You love it.”
“I do.”
“Kiss me, Kara.”

hi again whores I’m back with another oneshot
Its supercorp this time, as suggested by @unbestedmartell
I went back in my notes and found the first supercorp fic I wrote after the season 5 finale, so it’s kinda meh.
***********
"Hey, how's it going in here?" Kara enters Lena's lab, just like she has for the past week. Loudly, and slightly impatient.
"I've almost got it. I don't know where in hell Lex got this technology. The language on it is so complex I can barely grasp what it's saying, much less figure out how to open it." Lena responds, never looking up from the triangular piece of tech they manage to take from Lex.
"Maybe I could help? I'm fluent in multiple alien languages." Lena's eyes snap up to meet Kara's.
"Well it couldn't hurt." Kara's eyes light up, exited to be able to help. "But be careful." Lena emphasizes.
"When am I not?" Kara asks, trying to play coy.
"I have a list, actually.
"Oh shut it."
They work in the lab for hours, translating, Lena slightly staring at Kara when she isn't looking.
She furrows her eyes brows and bites her lip when she's focused on something important, Lena notes.
********
At 4 in the morning, Kara gets to be whiny.
"Lee, I'm tired." Kara complains.
"I know, but your the only one who can translate this with me. We only have 1 side of the triangle left to translate." Lena says, irritated, but also softly because she really doesn't need Kara for this. It's mostly Kryptonian, which is one of the many languages Lena was required to learn by her mother and her brother.
“Can't Nia help or something? I need sleep! How can I help people if I don't get any sleep?" Kara pouts.
Kara Danvers is going to be the death of her.
"Fine. You go home, I'll stay. I can manage."  Lena turns to Kara, who (last time she checked) was sitting on a chair, with her head on the table in exhaustion. But she was now standing, shaking her head.
"No. You need sleep too, Lee. You aren't a machine." Kara says softly, walking to stand next to Lena, who was still working.
"I have to be. This could be the key to defeating my monster of a brother. I need to keep working." Lena starts to move her hands around the tech, but Kara grabs her hands and turns Lena to face her.
"That doesn't mean you have to get 45 minutes of sleep every night until it's finished. It's okay, Lena. Rest." Lena takes a breath, realizing Kara's hands are still tangled with her own.
"Why do you care so much?" Lena asks quietly.
"What do you mean?" Kara responds, mimicking Lena's vocal levels.
"I mean... don't you just want my help? So after everything is said and done, you can go and be with your friends and family. Celebrate. 'The Evil Witch is Dead' sort of thing." Lena is looking down at the floor, but it's impossible without noticing their hands. And how close they are. And how oddly intimate the moment is.
"God, no. Lena, I want you back in my life. For good. I need you." Kara whispers the last part so quietly Lena almost didn't here her. But she did.
"You lied to me to protect me. Why only me? It seems like everyone knew but me." Lena asks suddenly.
Kara bites her lip, like she does when she's focusing on something. Lena remembers that.
"It... I..."
"Why, Kara?" Lena whispers. She finds the power to move her eyes back up to meet Kara's bright blue gaze. Specks of gray and gold. How has Lena never noticed that before?
"I couldn't lose you. You... you're my everything." Lena's breath gets caught in her throat.
"You're..." Lena starts to repeat, to make sure she heard Kara correctly.
"My everything."  Kara confirms.
"Can I kiss you?" Is all Lena responds with.
"Please."
Lena reaches up and removes Kara's glasses, the arm of the glasses fiddling between her fingers as she reached to put Kara's neck in the crook of her elbow. Lena's other hand rests on Kara's waist.
The kiss is slow, sweet. Perfect is the only word Lena can think of to describe this.
When they pull apart, they press their foreheads together.
"Hi." Kara whispers. Lena laughs lightly.
"Hi."

Prompt: Supercorp (friends to more maybe?) + Kara invites Lena to spend Christmas at Midvale for the first time.
“Do you really think it’s such a great idea to spend winter break alone with your quote “best friend” whom you’ve had a giant gay crush on for the last three years?”
Lena shoots Sam an exasperated look and continues to throw clothes into a small weekender bag on her bed. “It’s not all of winter break.”
“A week. Over Christmas.”
“And?”
“And what’s your game plan? Are you going to finally tell her?”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Lena scoffs.
“You guys are going to be alone, in Midvale, with her family, drinking schnapps and snuggling under blankets while it snows outside and you’re abso-fucking-lutely going to tell her.”
Irritated at the certainty in Sam’s voice, Lena throws a sweater a tad violently into her bag and glares at her friend. “I’ve lasted three years in silence, haven’t I?”
“Because she was dating what’s-her-name half the time and the other half you were dating Veronica.”
“So?”
“So it’s the first time you guys have both been single and alone at the same time,” Sam argues far too logically as if Lena hasn’t been thinking the same thing for the past two months since Kara invited her to Midvale.
“We’ll be fine,” Lena dismisses, rummaging through her underwear drawer.
“I doubt you’ll need anything in there,” Sam deadpans and Lena tries to chuck a pair of lace panties at Sam’s face, but it just floats in the air between them, buoyed by the sound of Sam’s laughter.
Lena realizes how right Sam was about five minutes into their journey, when Kara’s talking delightedly about what she’s going to make for Christmas dinner and her cheeks are rosy from the chill in the air, her hair tumbling down beneath a thick grey beanie. It’s cute and so Kara and oh god Lena’s not going to need any schnapps to tell her.
“Are you excited?” Kara asks, practically bouncing as they wait for their Uber to take them to the airport.
Lena nods, warming when Kara grabs at her hand and holds it. “Very,” she says, fighting the flips in her stomach.
They’ve kissed before. Once.
Well, twice, really.
They’re freshman, and really only just becoming friends. Lena is on a break with Veronica, upset and feeling vengeful at a house party one Saturday night. Kara is the consummate supportive friend, listening to Lena rant about all of Veronica’s wrongdoings and pouring her drink after drink every time she asked.
Kara looks good. Attractive in a way Lena’d never really let herself notice before. The soft flannel shirt she has on hangs open at the sides, the grey t-shirt underneath clinging tightly against the plane of her stomach. The sleeves are rolled up to reveal strong forearms and Lena realizes she’s spent far too long staring at Kara’s belt buckle and wondering if she could undo it with just a finger.
It doesn’t help that Kara’s body is solid and firm when Lena sags against it, the vodka swirling in her gut making her feel warm and loose.
“You okay?” Kara asks so sweetly, eyes a perfect blue as they try to catch Lena’s.
Lena nods, straightens a little, but licks her lips when Kara’s fingers wrap around her bicep to keep her upright. Kara’s face is so earnest and her hair is coming out of her ponytail so attractively and gosh Lena just wants to feel something.
She’ll have her excuses in the morning - a long list of things like the vodka grapefruits she’d consumed or those butterscotch shots or being upset over Veronica. It’ll be settled and dismissed by the time her hangover is fading midafternoon tomorrow, but for now, Lena just steps up into Kara’s body and kisses her.
Full on, lips against lips, hips against hips, kisses her.
The drink she has in one hand sloshes a bit against her fingers when she moves and her other hand wraps soundly around Kara’s neck and everything else at the party fades out. Kara takes a beat to react, but react she does. Her arm sliding across Lena’s back and bringing them together, lips slanting easily and taking over the kiss.
It feels good and perfect and lasts a solid thirty seconds until a loud crash interrupts them and they’re pulled away by a fight breaking out in the living room.
When they address it the next afternoon and Lena’s head is muffled by a throbbing embarrassment, Kara accepts Lena’s excuses easily enough and offers to bring over her famous hangover remedy.
Lena’s still, two years later, not certain if she’s grateful or disappointed.
Midvale is small, but charming. Just like Kara’s always described it. There’s snow everywhere and lights already hanging around all the trees. The giant welcome sign is draped with garland and there are snowmen built haphazardly across every other front yard. They even pass a few children having a snowball fight as they run down the sidewalk.
It’s idyllic in a way Lena’s never really experienced.
“This is fun,” Kara says as they drive further into town. “I’ve never gotten to bring anyone from school home before.”
Lena quirks a brow at that. “Really?”
“Really,” Kara confirms, reaching across the center console of their rental car and patting Lena on the thigh. “I’m glad it’s you.”
And that’s definitely not going to help Lena stay close-lipped about the entire thing. Nor is the way Kara is grinning at her or the warmth bleeding out from her palm up Lena’s leg. It feels significant and inevitable and Lena tries to do a mental calculation of how long she has to last before she leaves.
It’s like she can hear Sam laughing all the way back at school.
The second time they kiss is the end of sophomore year when Lena’s finally ended things once and for all with Veronica, and Kara decides that’s a great time to tell Lena she’s started to seriously see that little brunette floozy she shares a chem lab with.
To this day Lena refuses to remember her name.
Lena has this whole speech prepared about how she’s finally done being off and on again with Veronica and how it’s really always been Kara she’s wanted to date and even if it means risking their friendship Lena thinks it’s worth it to try. There’s this whole part about how she can’t stop thinking about that one time they shared a drunken kiss and sometimes when Kara holds her hand late at night, Lena thinks about doing it again.
It’s a good speech. She practices it with Sam and everything.
And then Kara goes and ruins it with her big dumb mouth.
“So [redacted] said she’d be my girlfriend,” Kara tells her as they lounge about Kara’s dorm room pointedly not studying for finals.
It halts Lena’s entire being, stuttering all functioning to a dead stop for several moments.
This was not part of her master plan. There’s a party this Friday at Nia’s house and they’re supposed to go together and then she’ll pull Kara out onto the porch and sit her down, maybe take a few extra sips of her tequila sunrise for courage and then - in this stunning ensemble she’d bought with Sam last week - she’ll start her speech.
Kara announcing she’s got a girlfriend a few days prior isn’t exactly on the menu.
“She did?”
“Yeah,” Kara replies, sounding nervous as she fiddles with the television remote, sliding the battery door open and closed over and over again. “Sorry, I’m sure you don’t really want to talk about this after everything with you and Veronica and -”
“You’re right, I don’t,” Lena interrupts, her chest feeling icy and stomach twisted. She stands and paces to Kara’s minifridge, bending to peer inside and pulling out a bottle of beer stored there. “Do you want to get drunk?”
“Lena, it’s Wednesday,” Kara says, but the exasperation in her voice is fond and she stands up to take the offered drink from Lena’s hand.
They drink all the beer in Kara’s fridge and watch reruns of The Office until late that night, curled up on Kara’s tiny futon. It’s soft and warm and lets Lena forget that Kara’s officially off the market just when she’d been ready to snatch her up.
Maybe they really are destined to be just be friends. Maybe the universe is just saving her from ruining the best friendship she’s ever had.
She’s sure it’s that passing thought that has her staring at Kara’s lips for far too long when Kara laughs at something ridiculous on the television. There’s enough beer in her system to make her feel risky and there’s a chance she’ll never get this opportunity again. Kara’s going to have a girlfriend next year and probably won’t have any time for her anyway and Lena’s going to be alone forever and -
Kara’s turned toward her, that furrow in her brow that always makes Lena want to kiss her, and so she does.
It’s quick, but powerful. Lena surges forward and startles Kara back into the couch, their lips crashing together solidly enough that Kara lets out a little yelp into the kiss.
But Kara doesn’t push her away. Not immediately and not even after Lena shifts enough that she’s almost in Kara’s lap, her fingers pulling Kara in by her cheeks.
It ends softly, slowly, as Kara pulls Lena’s hands away from her face and looks at her quizzically, an uncertainty in her blue eyes that makes Lena’s chest go tight. “What are you doing?”
The words are whispered between their lips, still hovered near enough that Lena’d only have to move a fraction and they’d be kissing again. She could do it too. Could press forward and straddle Kara, kiss the confusion off her face and slip down into her lap until Kara’s moaning and forgetting about anyone else except Lena.
Kara’d let her.
But it’s not right. And Lena’s not about to make a cheater out of her best friend. Her perfect, innocent, never does anything wrong, best friend.
“Sorry,” Lena whispers back, her cheeks flush as she sits back on the futon, a considerable distance between her and Kara.
“Uh -” Kara’s touching her lips gingerly like she can’t believe it’s happened again and thinks that’s about her cue to leave.
“I should go,” Lena announces, standing up from the futon and making her exit as quickly as possibly while Kara’s still dumbfounded.
Nothing comes of the kiss. Just like the first one. Kara dates she-who-must-not-be-named for most of the summer, but by the time they return for their junior year, there’s no girlfriend to speak of. “Didn’t work out,” is Kara’s only explanation.
Their friendship doesn’t miss a beat. Kara seems to move past the incident just as easily as before and Lena can’t deny she’s at least somewhat grateful for Kara’s ability to just roll with the punches. Especially because Lena seems to be incapable of not throwing them.
“We were drinking,” Kara says when they finally talk about it and Lena nods. “And you were sad.” Lena just nods again. “You do crazy stuff when that happens,” Kara whispers like it’s a secret, eyes searching Lena’s face. Lena rolls her eyes, but acknowledges the truth with another nod. Kara smiles. “Good thing I love you anyway.”
Lena nods, but her throat gets caught just the slightest when she laughs. “Good thing.”
Kara’s childhood home is such a contrast from the one Lena grew up in that she knows her jaw is dropped as she takes it all in.
It’s small, but inviting. Large trees line the front covered in glistening lights and the windowboxes all have ornamental arrangements in them. The yard is coated in fresh snow just like most of the town and Kara’s adoptive mother Eliza greets them on the front porch wrapped in a warm sweater with a smile so much like Kara’s they almost look related.
“Hey, girls,” Eliza greets, hugging them both and ushering them out from the cold.
It’s warm inside and smells like something delicious is cooking. Kara perks up immediately, hoisting her duffel up on her shoulder and carrying Lena’s bag inside as well despite Lena’s insistence she didn’t need to.
They settle up in Kara’s bedroom and Lena takes the time wandering around the small space inspecting everything and enjoying the way Kara blushes at Lena’s inquisitiveness.
“You had short hair in high school?” Lena asks, picking up a picture of a younger Kara and Alex and wondering how she’d never seen it before. It’s not an unattractive style, the swoop of Kara’s blonde hair looks disheveled from the wind of the beach they’re standing on and it’s tossed atop her head in a way that makes Lena’s fingers itch to run through it.
Kara snatches the picture out of her hand. “Alex got gum in my hair,” she grumbles, setting the picture down on her desk. “I had to chop it all off.”
Lena laughs, strides over to the small bed against the corner and flops down onto it, testing its feel. “So this is where all the magic happened, huh?”
Kara crosses her arms across her chest and rolls her eyes. “Oh yeah, you know me. Big stud in high school,” she jokes, but as Lena looks at her leaned up against her desk and smiling at Lena, she’d believe it.
“Ah yes,” Lena teases, leaning back on the mattress. “I can sense all the heartbreak.”
Kara smiles at her, but doesn’t respond, just regards her for long enough that Lena sits up, feeling self conscious under the observation. “What?”
Shrugging a shoulder, Kara looks away, standing up from where she’s leaning. “Nothing,” she says, walking over to her bag and unzipping it. “It’s just nice having you here.”
Lena’d have a much easier time with things if Kara would just stop saying stuff like that all the time.
Kara’s sister Alex arrives from out of town much later and though Lena’s only met her a few times, hugs Lena as if she’s family.
They eat a home cooked meal together and catch up. It’s nice and easy and Lena can see why Kara is the way she is. There’s a familiarity and warmth that pervades every interaction and Lena sees so much of Kara in the way Eliza keeps offering her more food or drink or the way Alex tells ridiculous stories from their childhood just to make Lena laugh.
Lena didn’t even know this was something she could miss without having ever had it, but she finds she already aches knowing it’ll be gone in just a short week.
It’s far more difficult than Lena had ever anticipated. Kara in her family home is somehow a softer, more attractive version of the one Lena gets at school all the time. She didn’t even think that was possible. It so effectively beats past all her we’re just not meant to be justifications and complicated compartmentalizing that she’s worried she’ll just blurt something out at any moment.
They spend their time watching trashy holiday movies in the living room with Alex, or braving the snow so Kara can show Lena her favorite watering hole on the other side of town, or baking and decorating cookies with Eliza. Simple, uninteresting activities that seem to wrap around Lena’s soul in a way she’s always associated with Kara.
She won’t make it until Christmas, she can sense it, and all her extremely logical reasons for keeping her feelings under lock and key seem to break down every second she spends with Kara and her family.
It’s Christmas Eve that ends up being the tipping point. Kara tugs Lena inside the tiny dive bar they’ve been frequenting and Lena knows she’s in trouble the moment Kara smiles at her as she shakes the snow off her head and shoulders like an overgrown puppy. They’re greeted enthusiastically by the bartender and a few other patrons that seem to know Kara and the worst of it all is the way Kara’s mittened-covered hand stays wrapped around Lena’s as they make their way to two empty bar stools.
Forgoing the strong stuff, Lena lets Kara order them a pitcher of beer and sips on it slowly lest the alcohol get to her head and she pull Kara into the sketchy bathroom stall down the dark back hallway.
“We should go sledding later,” Kara suggests as she’s draining the last of the pitcher into her glass and nodding at the bartender in some kind of silent communication for another round.
“That sounds cold,” Lena replies, chuckling warmly at the glint in Kara’s eyes. The strings of christmas lights hung across the ceiling twinkle in the reflection of Kara’s glasses and Lena reaches for her empty glass just for something to do with her hands.
“Nah, it’ll be fun,” Kara dismisses, murmuring a thanks when the bartender sets down their second pitcher. “Plus, that’s what beer jackets are for.”
Lena makes a face with that, thinking she’s maybe had all the shitty local beer her stomach can handle, but doesn’t stop Kara from refilling her glass.
“If you say so,” Lena says, nearly choking on her drink when Kara’s hand lands heavily on her knee.
“I’ll be fun,” Kara repeats, bending slightly to make the kind of eye contact that warms Lena’s cheeks. “I promise.”
The sledding hill is another hike through thick snow, but Kara passes the time explaining to Lena all the different hijinks she and Alex got up to on the hill when they were kids. Lena focuses on keeping her feet under her as she matches the large footsteps Kara’s leaving in the snowfall.
“You good?” Kara asks, reaching behind her to grab for Lena’s hand.
“Yeah,” Lena says softly, taking Kara’s hand and letting herself get tugged forward. “Are we there yet?”
Kara laughs, a warm rich sound that drips over Lena’s chest. “Almost,” she says, pulling Lena in close. “Do you want to get on my back?”
At the offer, Kara turns and bends a bit, but Lena shoves her playfully. “No,” she chuckles, but when she tries to keep walking, Kara moves in front of her, still offering her back and shuffling whenever Lena tries to get past.
They dance around each other, laughing, until Lena manages to push Kara full on into a snowbank. It’d be hilarious if Kara didn’t grab at Lena on her way down until she’s falling on top of Kara bodily.
It arrests the laughter in her throat and she feels the warmth of Kara’s length all the way up her front, their faces hovering near each other as their breath manifests in the air between them. Lena’s suddenly aware of far too many things, from the snow falling quietly over them to the way she can feel Kara’s heartbeat thud between their thick jackets.
She hasn’t had nearly enough to drink to make her drop forward and kiss Kara, but god does she want to.
“Sorry,” Kara says when Lena fails to say anything. Blue eyes dart across Lena’s face, drop down to her mouth and back up. “Are you okay?”
It’s enough to shake Lena out of the sudden rush of desire and she scrambles to get up off Kara’s body as quickly and gracefully as she can. She’s only half successful, slipping on a patch of ice on the sidewalk part of the way up and relying on Kara’s quick reflexes to catch her, but then they’re standing again and Lena’s able to put some distance between them.
“Yeah, of course,” Lena says, laughing it off and brushing snow of Kara’s shoulders. “You’re so snowy now.”
Kara laughs again, shrugs. “We’re almost there anyway,” she says, shaking off the snow as much as she can and reaching out to grab Lena’s hand again. “Come on.”
It’s only when they get to the hill that Lena realizes they don’t have a sled. Kara seems largely unconcerned with this reality when Lena mentions as much and she realizes why fairly quickly when Kara jogs towards a small ramshackle shed tucked away in the thicket of trees at the bottom of the hill.
It’s quieter out here and devoid of people - Lena’s pretty surprised considering the recent snowfall has created ideal sledding conditions - but grateful there aren’t any witnesses. She can just imagine what her mother would say if she could see Lena now.
There are a small collection of community sleds that Kara rifles through until she picks one she likes. “Perfect,” Kara says, holding it up with a triumphant smile.
Lena thinks the entire endeavor is ridiculous, but Kara’s excitement is contagious and the snow is pretty and there are worse things Lena can imagine doing. At least out here she’s less liable to blurt her feelings out than curled up under blankets in Kara’s room watching a movie.
Or so she thinks.
She’s wholly unprepared for the fact that Kara intends to get on the sled together and she perhaps could have anticipated such an event, but she’d been too distracted with the way Kara looks with a beanie pulled down low and cheeks pink from the chill in the air.
“This is a terrible idea,” Lena says, resisting the slightest when Kara scoots back on the sled and spreads her legs in indication of just where Lena’s supposed to sit.
“I promised fun and I never break a promise,” Kara says with a cute little lift of her chin. “So come over here.”
Lena relents, stepping over Kara’s leg to drop down between them. Her stomach swoops dramatically when Kara curls an arm across her midsection and tugs her in tightly. It puts Lena’s back up against Kara’s front and her cheek warms when Kara’s chin plants on her shoulder and her breath floats hotly across her skin. Lena licks her lips against the feeling. “If I end up in some small town hospital tonight because you crash us, I swear to -”
Kara’s laugh interrupts her and her arm tightens around Lena enough that the words get lost in her throat. It feels so good Lena closes her eyes just a moment to enjoy it, to imagine she doesn’t have to resist the liquid heat dropping down her chest at the feeling of Kara so close.
And then the sled is lurching forward and Lena’s eyes fly open as they crest the hill and start flying down. Cold wind and snow whip past them and Kara’s excited laughter is infectious enough that Lena joins her as they go barreling towards the bottom. Kara’s hands stay locked tightly across Lena’s stomach, keeping them locked in close together as they go flying off a makeshift jump.
“Oh, shi-” Kara lets out as they go careening sideways, but Lena’s laughing through their crash as they slide across the snow and tumble together the rest of the way.
“You did that on purpose,” Lena accuses, but there’s no bite in it, tempered by her smile and fond chuckle as Kara starts making a snow angel where she’s lying on the ground.
“I didn’t,” Kara laughs, standing and jogging to where the sled is. “I swear.”
“Sure,” Lena draws out, trudging after Kara back up the hill.
“Come on, we won’t crash this time.”
“I’m not going again.”
Kara looks back at her. “Yes you are,” she says with a wink and a smirk like she knows Lena will do whatever Kara wants.
“You’re the worst sometimes,” Lena complains, huffing as they start the long trek back up to the top.
“I know, I know,” Kara says, pausing for Lena to catch up and wrapping her free arm around Lena’s shoulders. “But it’s Christmas Eve and you love me.”
“Hmmm,” Lena hums, enjoying the strong way Kara pulls Lena into her side. “I suppose.”
They get back to the top of the hill and Kara brushes snow off the sled before setting it at their feet, keeping it there with a touch of her heel
“Actually,” Kara says, not getting back on the sled like Lena expects. Instead, she looks out to the side, hands tucking into the pockets of her jacket.
They can see a lot of town from here, Lena realizes. Not that there’s all that much to see. But the spattering of Christmas lights and homes are visible from where they stand. Lena takes it in a moment with a quiet smile for Kara’s hometown.
“I’ve been meaning to tell you something,” Kara says, pulling Lena’s attention back in front of her.
It drops something heavy in Lena’s gut. She’s heard this before. It’s usually what precedes Kara telling her something devastating like [redacted] and I are back together or you’re such a good friend, Lena. And frankly, Lena doesn’t want to hear it. It’s Christmas Eve and she doesn’t have to deal with this today. If Kara wants to tell her later, fine, but right now, Lena’s going to live in her fantasy world for a little longer.
So she does what any rational person would do when they don’t want to hear bad news from their best friend. She puts both her hands on Kara’s shoulders and shoves her hard enough that she falls onto the sled and starts careening down the hill.
It occurs to her seconds after Kara yelps and starts flying backward what exactly she’s done. Her hands fly to her mouth in mortification, but it’s done now. No taking that one back.
Kara tumbles gracelessly down the hill with her sled farther and farther away from where Lena’s still standing at the top and she watches as her best friend faceplants in the snow at the end.
“Oops,” Lena thinks to murmur, allowing herself a soft laugh at the way Kara comes up from the ground with a face full of white powder.
“What the heck?!” Kara yells up at her.
“Sorry,” Lena calls back, feeling her cheeks heat up.
Kara looks adorably upset, stomping through the snow towards her sled and ripping it up from the ground as she starts her ascent yet again. It’s hard to feel truly guilty with the cute way Kara swipes snow off her face. As she nears, Lena can make out the expression on her face, brow furrowed and the slightest pout of her lips. Whatever Kara’s got to tell her, maybe Lena should kiss her first one last time just in case.
“You pushed me!” Kara says, sounding as if she can’t believe it herself. “I was just trying to tell you -”
Kara pauses, grabs her sled with both hands and holds it in front of her like a shield. “Don’t push me again, I have to tell you something.”
“Sorry,” Lena says again, arms crossing over her chest and biting her lip against a laugh. “I thought it’d be funny.”
“Not when I’m trying to tell you something important.”
“Kara, it’s Christmas Eve,” Lena sighs, thinking maybe there’s something unspoken between them that Kara will pick up and spare Lena the pain of having to hear something she doesn’t want to.
“I know,” Kara says, dropping the sled enough that Lena can see the serious expression on her face, the red in her cheeks from more than just the cold and snow. “That’s why I want to tell you this.”
“If you’re back together with you know who, I don’t want to hear it,” Lena says, unable to stop her defense mechanisms from ratcheting up no matter how it sounds.
Kara drops the sled to the side, looking a bit indignant. “She has a name, you know,” Kara says, almost stomping her foot in the snow. “I don’t know what it is you have against her.”
Against better judgement, Lena replies on instinct. “Yes you do.”
They’re silent a moment, gazes locked on each other and Lena can barely hear the sound of falling snow over the heavy staccato of her heart.
“Yeah,” Kara says, so softly Lena barely catches it. Then, louder, “So the thing is, I like you.”
It’s such an absurd set up for a let down, Lena rolls her eyes. “I know you like me, Kara, don’t -”
“No,” Kara interrupts, taking a step forward and looking more serious than Lena’s ever seen her. “I like you.”
The significance of what Kara’s saying slams into Lena so forcefully she has to take a deep breath, her eyes widening in bewilderment.
“No you don’t,” Lena says when she can’t think of any other way to convey her shock. Honestly, she thought that if she ever confessed to Kara, it’d take some convincing to get her best friend to see her in a romantic way, and then after that she’d reconciled with the fact that Kara would only ever see them as friends.
Kara looks taken aback by her reply, looking around as if she’s being pranked by a hidden camera crew. “Yes, I do,” she retorts.
“That’s not possible,” Lena says, her voice going a little shrill at the end as her brain starts to spiral into hysterics. Is Kara really saying what she thinks she’s saying? She’s regretting the alleged beer jacket Kara had foisted upon her.
“Okay, not exactly the reaction I was hoping for.”
“But you - I mean - and when I - you can’t -” Lena scrambles for a complete sentence, but falls short, incapable of expressing three years of repressed feelings in one solitary moment, but Kara cuts through it all and takes another step forward.
“I wanted to tell you here, in my hometown, because it’s away from all that stuff at school and because I guess you always remind me of home, so it just felt like the place to tell you that I like you and you’re my best friend and I’m not trying to ruin anything between us, but I just think about those times we kissed way too often and I think I’d be a good girlfriend for you and if maybe you’d just consider -”
Lena finally catches up to the moment, lets herself believe in what’s happening and presses so swiftly forward into Kara’s physical space that the sled drops from her hand and goes gliding down the hill at a rapid pace.
“Yeah, okay,” Lena breathes out, looking up into Kara’s eyes. Her heart feels heavy against her rib cage and her brain can barely understand that this is really happening, but she’s pretty sure it means she can kiss Kara and not feel guilty about it in the morning.
“Really?” Kara’s smile is so bright and genuine that Lena wishes she had said something the moment they got in the car to the airport together.
In lieu of answering, Lena just grips her fingers into Kara’s jacket and pulls them together until they’re kissing, soft and sweetly at first until Kara seems to get with the program, arms around Lena’s waist and deepening the kiss into something much hotter. It’s like that for long moments, the world dropping away around them, until they pull away and blink dreamily at each other.
“Wow,” Kara says softly and Lena laughs.
“Can I confess something?” Lena asks, feeling an unstoppable urge to even the playing field.
“Of course.”
“I’ve been meaning to say the same thing for a long time,” she says, feeling embarrassed by the confession regardless of circumstance.
“How long?” Kara asks, the softness of her expression making Lena want to press back in again.
“Too long,” Lena admits and Kara smiles.
“I’m glad I said something then,” Kara says, the curve of her lips turning into something more teasing. “You’d have been too stubborn to ever do anything about it.”
Lena tsks indignantly, pushing ineptly at Kara’s shoulder. Even though Lena’s pretty sure she doesn’t shove that hard, Kara stumbles back and pulls Lena with her. It’s not so bad this time; Lena ducks her head to kiss her. They stay at the top of the hill for a long while, their sled abandoned at the bottom.
Sam gives Lena the biggest I told you so when they get back on campus and stroll into the welcome back party hand in hand, but Lena just rolls her eyes at her friend and stays glued to Kara’s side, rewarding her with a kiss when she hands her a drink.
She can’t even bring herself to mind when Sam sends her about forty texts in regards to Kara’s Instagram post - the one with her arm slung around Lena’s shoulders and her lips pressed to Lena’s cheek, with a very cheesy caption: The best Christmas gift of all.
Sam can say as many I told you sos as she wants. Lena spends the latter half of her winter break wrapped up in Kara’s arms, plenty surprised and absurdly joyful. It was the best Christmas gift of all.

KINKTOBER DAY 1: BLINDFOLD
Kinktober Prompt List
Ship: Kara Danvers/ Lena Luthor
---
A/N: I wanted to do a little writing exercise and this seemed the right opportunity for it. I’ll be doing a mix of different ships for kinktober: supercorp, superrojas, jack/lena etc etc but there will be some days when I’ll be doing prompts specifically from supercorptober.
Anyway, let’s have some fun of the fluffy and smutty variety! Though there will be some angst somewhere along the way when the prompt calls for it. I hope y’all will enjoy the ride with me.
---
A shaky breath whispers through her lips as fingers trail delicately down her neck and over her collarbones.
Her head tips back, landing soft on the pillow. “Lena,” she sighs, whining when those same fingers drag right down her belly, making her hips jump.
Her heart jolts at the chuckle that husks in her ear. “What is it, love?” she asks, slowly grazing the rough, calloused pads of her fingers along Kara’s inner thighs. Her words are soft, tender but Kara can still hear the edge of teasing in them. Kara can easily picture the wolfish smirk on Lena's face, burns to see it for herself.
And though she made a promise, she sighs, “I really want to see your face.”
The lead-laced blindfold is another one of Lena’s brilliant idea, another one of her own creations. A silky, dark red thing—as red as Kara’s favorite lipstick on Lena—tied snugly around Kara’s head. She should have known that it would actually work, that her world would darken into nothing but a sunset landscape. It is after all, a thing of Lena’s making. There never should have been any doubt at all.
She feels Lena shift against her, waiting patiently for what happens next when she is suddenly surrounded by the familiar scent of Lena's shampoo. Lena has obviously let loose her ponytail as a waterfall of her lovely hair curtains around them. Somehow Kara’s already small and limited world becomes even smaller, even more limited. Her heart races a little faster and she must be breathing a heavier too when the warmth of Lena’s hand is on her waist, reassuring.
Kara’s breath hitches, her heart jolting in response to Lena’s voice murmuring right next to her ear as her hands moves up and down Kara’s waist. “It's just you and me, Kara.”
She breathes in deeply, taking in all that she can through the rest of her senses. Lena’s half-naked body on top of her own with her folded legs on either side of Kara's hips. The heat in between Lena’s legs is slick, scorching hot. Her breathing is slow and calm and steady. Lena’s hands are wandering ever so slowly and carefully over Kara’s flushed skin while her own hands are gripping lightly over Lena's thighs, thick and toned under her palms. Lena’s familiar scent fills her lungs.
Kara’s heart settles.
“You and me,” she repeats finally, shakily as she nods her head.
Lena’s cheek nuzzles gently against hers. “I won't ever let anything happen that you don't want,” she promises. “Do you believe me?”
“Yes,” she replies, quick and confident.
Lena’s hum of delight is hard to miss. “Do you want me to go on?”
She turns her head slowly, her nose brushing over the smooth of Lena’s cheek. “Kiss me first.”
Her eyes close at the touch of Lena’s mouth lightly brushing over hers, playful, before Lena finally presses into her. The first taste of Lena's lipstick is dark, red extravagance and Kara thinks of how the color itself complements the pale green of Lena’s eyes. She thinks of that color making a map of her body. Kara moans at the teeth that nip at her bottom lip, the cool tongue that sweeps and soothes over the barely-there ache.
Lena kisses her like she means to devour her piece by piece and rebuild her anew, whole again, and Kara will let her, always.
When Lena eventually pulls away, Kara attempts to follow but stops when she feels Lena’s palm on her shoulder, keeping her in place. But Kara doesn't protest when this is a part of what she want, what they both want.
Kara licks her kiss-swollen lips, breathless. “I’m ready.”

Okay okay okay lemme have the brain cell for a sec y’all. I’m gonna come at Supercorp mess as queer woman of color, begrudgingly watcing this damn show. In my 23 years of life all I can scream is representation matters. I can’t understand on what planet writers would vehemently argue against something that would bring so much joy to so many people. Here’s just a short list of things in the past two or so years that made me feel seen:
1. SHE-RA. Oh bitch, this show. This show right here was an experience. Married lesbian and gay couples? Huntra flirting!? NON-BINARY DOUBLE TROUBLE!? They do all these things without making them a big deal, it's just a part of the world. Because guess what, you can have multiple LGBT characters in a show! Who knew!?
2. I don’t know if y'all can understand how much black people lost their minds when Black Panther came out. We LOST. OUR.  MINDS. It was one of the best feelings ever to watch that movie with other POC and just flip shit because wow wow wow this is a first. Black people in a film where we are technologically advanced and thriving!? WHAT?
3. Watching The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (yes yes I know this show ain’t perfect)  and seeing how Theo got to play out in the show. HOLY SHIT?! Right? There’s trans people watching that and seeing themselves in him. The support he got from his friends? Ugh, sensational.  Another part of that is when Zelda kissed Mambo Marie. Like I rocketed out of my chair, screaming and running around my house. How could writers want to deny that experience to someone?! Pure pure joy,. A bitch was out of breath from running and screaming.
4. Kipo! When Benson said he was gay after Kipo confessed to him, then they hugged because it was perefctly fine?!  A black kid who is gay and meets another boy that they let him have heart eyes over while playing adroble lovey dovey music, in a cartoon!? What? 10 year old me would never believe such a thing happened. We almost cried watching it because coming out is ROUGH. Seeing something like that could literally change lives.
When it comes to Supercorp, it’s not just because I’m a dumb dumb lesbian who wants this ship to happen. It's because I want other people to have these experiences. I can just imagine the people this would touch if they let Supercorp be canon. (And adressed their other queer charcters like they acually exist) CW has legit laid out a red carpet for this relationship but they’re acting like we’re the crazy people for even THINKING it’s possible Kara and Lena could be together. We’ve just been labeled these man hating toxic fools who want to watch the world burn. When they are the one who wrote the relationship like this and keep sticking Kara with other characters that have nowhere near the connection she and Lena do. Like if they tried to build this same type of relationship with a man, then that would have been fine, but they didn’t and are baffled when we don't like a new love interest. The world will not implode if you let your main character date a woman. Y'all said it yourself, Lena and Kara were an UNSTOPPABLE DUO.
In the end, representation matters.  Anyone who wants to argue can eat my ass. I’m too old, too black, too tired to be fighting with y’all when I know I can’t convince you otherwise.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I know many people don't like kara and mon-el love story. But I like it, for reason I am gonna list below. And yes I am aware that he was a dude bro, and a slave owner.
But I think it was important for kara's journey in a way that made her a more mature person.
In season 1 we see kara pining over james. It was a crush initially but then it became a thing which she couldn't have as he was with Lucy, something unobtainable. And I guess she was more in love with the idea of a relationship than she was in love with james, which she herself admits.
Kara never had any serious relationship in all her life and then came mon-el. He was this dude who was also an alien. She thought he could understand her on that level and they could be together without hurting each other physically. We see her idealizing their relationship, overlooking his faults and giving him second chances because it was her chance at having everything. She wasn't in even love with him as he was but the idea of what he could be .
She herself admits all this to mon-el in season 3.
Kara always thought love as something people write poetry about , she imagined mon-el and her as star crossed lover ,modern romeo and Juliet. For her, love was like rom com on steroids. And while part of it is true but real love is so much more that, it's complicated and grounded. It helps you became more true to yourself.Sometimes it hurts. Sometimes you say mean things to each other just to hurt other person. But in the end the love is still there.(😬 supercorp)
And then before she could really see their relationship as it was ,he was gone.
After that she spends months crying over her loss. I guess people could argue that he was her love of life(I completely disagree) because I saw that as her mourning her chance at being normal. Having it all.
Then he comes back, this time more mature and as a man she could truly love but he is married. We again see her devasted as she clings to the idea of being normal.
I love this arc parallel to season 3 arc of kara who is trying to find her true self. Can she be just supergirl without being kara? Could she just be kara zorel ,leave earth and be normal.
And I am going to ignore that one episode where she was almost going to kiss mon-el, because I cannot fathom the idea of Supergirl kissing a married man. Also I hate love triangles.
But in the end kara does realize that she can never be normal again, that chance was lost when she was put into that pod,but that doesn't mean it was a bad thing. Her life has changed completely. She can never be just kara zor el anymore. She is kara danvers ,Supergirl and kara zorel all three persona.
Same way she realises that what she had with mon-el was special because it made both of them a better person. They can never be together again but that doesn't mean their relationship was bad. Her outlook on love has changed for better.
She has matured in a way that now she can be with someone who can truly love her.(again 😜😜 lena)
P.S- ignore my grammatical mistakes as english is not my first language.

Supergirl Reveal Fics
I thought I'd put together a list of my fluffy reveal fics after the most recent episode. Feel free to add your own.
---
A perfect beginning
Based on the prompt: "First date/first kiss plus identity reveal that's fluffy and wonderful."
They're kissing when Lena slips her hand under Kara's shirt and she expects to find soft skin, what she doesn't expect to find is a super suit.
Link
---
A part of me is missing, when you're not here
Based on an anon prompt from tumblr:
"If it inspires you, could you write a fic with Lena having to move away for a while to run the business and they are all mopey and sad and even more clingy because they’re not going to be in the same city anymore and after a couple of insufferable weeks Kara caves in and risks it all by telling her best friend that she’s Supergirl just so she can fly over whenever? I just love the combo reveal + friends to lovers and you do it so forking well."
Link
---
Lena Nose Best
Based on an anon prompt from tumblr:
"Could you maybe write a Supercorp story with Lena connecting the dots Kara is Supergirl because of her perfume? Bonus points if it's a getting together kind of story."
Link
---
In your arms, where I belong
Based on an anon prompt from tumblr:
"Hi, beautiful writer! If you’re accepting prompts, could you write a story with Kara not being able to sleep and so she texts Lena to see if she’s up, and then she tells Lena she’s having trouble sleeping and they talk until Kara falls asleep. Then it happens again, and again… So it becomes a deal between them – if either of them has trouble sleeping, they’ll call each other. Until it becomes a dropping-by-late-at-night-because-I can’t-sleep deal and soft, drowsy talks over the phone become sleep overs as they grow closer and closer due to their late night confessional calls?"
Link
---
Out of the shadows and into the light
Soulmates au where you have a black mark on your skin that turns to colour where/when your soulmate touches you for the first time.
Link
---
Something's not right
Based on an anon prompt from tumblr:
"In spirit of Chyler wanting to play Lena can you do a body switch au, where they just go with it thinking it's a dream bc they had too much to drink so they don't tell Kara at first AKA Alex gets to witness just how flirty her sister is with Lena and then calls her out on it while Lena finds out about the sg secret when Kara rips her shirt open in front her thinking she's just Alex."
Link
---
Wrong place, right time
Based on an anon prompt from tumblr:
"psst. prompt, if you want it. Supergirl accidentally breaks into Lena's apartment and goes to sleep on the couch (She thought it was Alex's and she was exhausted)."
Link
---
Caught Out
Based on a tumblr post by laoisepotter:
"Headcanon that Lena realizes Kara is Supergirl slowly over a period of time simply because she keeps throwing stuff at her and it just escalates to the point of there’s no other explanation as to why she can catch all these things.
Like it starts off innocent enough with like pens and keys but after a couple weeks she’s chucking three staplers at a time and watching Kara catch all of them at once and she knows, she knows her theory is right. If Kara doesn’t fess up by the end of the week the desk chair is next"
Link
---
It's better together
Dealing with someone who's drunk is hard enough but dealing with a drunk alien with superpowers is something else entirely.
Or Alex needs to call in Maggie for help when she finds a very drunk Kara and Lena at Kara's apartment.
Link
---
Friends
Supergirl goes to thank Lena for her help after they finally take down Cadmus.
Link
---
Don't give alcohol to aliens
Lena is surprised when a drunk Supergirl lands on her balcony late one night.
Link
---
Light in the dark
After rescuing Lena from her mother, Supergirl flies Lena back to her apartment because Lena wants to see Kara.
Link
---
What's On Your Mind?
Thanks to a new form of Kryptonite, Kara temporarily gains the ability to read minds.
Link
---
All In A Day's Work
Kara's hurt and Lena's not going to leave her side, not for a moment.
Link
---
Revelation
Lena finds out Kara's secret, by finding Supergirl in Kara's bed.
Link
---
Crush
Kara becomes jealous when she thinks Lena is flirting with Supergirl.
Link
---
Oops there's more of these than I thought but I hope you enjoy.

A Day in the Life of Alex and Elly
[note: As promised, this is a Supercorp baby fanfic mainly dedicated to Director Alex Danvers and how I think she would be as a mom. I wanted to post this on AO3 but I'm still on the waiting list. this is my first fanfic everrrr so pls bear w/ me.]
Part 1 of 3
"It's quiet in here."
Elly thought to himself. The bell rang about ten minutes ago and the last locked cubicle in the boy’s bathroom he's in, felt a bit bigger than usual. He stared at the glossy linoleum coated door and walls surrounding him. In this entire school, this is a place where he feels most safe. He felt the cold strip of metal around his wrist that he’s been wearing since forever, closed his eyes to hear his heartbeat slowing down and his breathing going back to normal.
“Deep breaths, Elly. Just breathe and you're going to be just fine.”
That’s how his mama would always tell him when he’s having difficulty in breathing. He covered his face with his hands, sucked in air through his nose and exhaled through his mouth. Good. He tried to breathe again but halfway through, he felt something itchy got stuck in his throat.
"ACHOOO!!!" He was able to close his hands in his mouth tighter in time as he released a loud sneeze which echoed inside the empty bathroom, causing the cubicle walls to vibrate. "It's happening again. I have to call mom."
An eight-year old Lincoln Eddard Danvers hurriedly walked through the empty corridors of South National Elementary School to the nurse's office, one Tuesday afternoon. He saw her drinking tea, sitting behind her desk through the glass window. He knocked twice to get her attention and Nurse Jane gestured him to come in. He entered the nurse's office which a lot of kids doesn't like coming into. But for him, this place is more comfy than the library. It smelled like clean sheets and ethyl alcohol with a hint of something nice and warm coming from her tea.
"Lincoln! What can I help you with, this time?" Nurse Jane smiled at a teary-eyed Elly, his nose looking red and a bit swollen as she laid down her cup of tea.
Elly rolled his eyes at the sound of his name and walked-in. "Durse Jade, I think I deed to call by bob." speaking with a clogged nose. He helped himself up on the examining bed, trying to speak without breathing too much to avoid another sneeze.
"Are you sure it's not the bullies again?" Nurse Jane stood up to take a good look at him. "It's better to tell your mom, you know. I heard she's a cop?" She blinked her little flashlight at him before examining his arms and neck. "How are you feeling?"
"Oh dough, it's dot them. And my mom’s a detective. It's a bit itchy up here, though" he pointed at his neck, still trying to hold his breath. "I think it's the cinnabon. They had cinnabon rolls in the cafeteria," he noticed that red patches have started to appear on his arms.
"Ah, you ate a cinnamon roll? Have you had this allergic reactions before?" the nurse asked, looking at the inside of his mouth.
Elly shook his head. "Dot like this, just the sneezing," he wiped his snotty nose with the back of his hand.
Nurse Jane scrambled through her desk drawer and took something from the bottom. She came back to hand him a box of tissue and a red colored lollipop.
"Suck on this, it'll help you with the itching," and she started dialing on her cell phone. "Why don't you chill here for a bit, while I call your mom and tell your teacher about it? I'll be back in a second, okay?" she said smiling at him.
"Okay."
Nurse Jane left, closing the door behind her and he heard her broke into a run. Elly unwrapped the candy and placed it in his mouth. He looked around the nurse's office and saw the steaming cup of tea. Quietly, he jumped down the bed and walked slowly towards the nurse's desk. The tea had a soothing smell, so warm that he started to feel much better and a bit sleepy. He closed his eyes and everything went dark for a moment. He heard voices but he felt too sleepy to open his eyes so he kept them shut. This place feels really comfy. There was a long soft beep, a faint thud and another blinking sound.
"…subject still insusceptible to high temperatures and unresponsive to physical pain."
The voice sounded so near that Elly tried to open his eyes to see who it is but his vision was blurry. He felt a bit nauseous and he can see bright white and yellow lights when a female voice boomed again behind him.
"…also seemed to be unaffected by the earth's gravity when subject is stable and in a calm state..."
He felt like the whole place was spinning.
"And where do you think you're going? Come back here."
He felt a hand pulled on his feet and heard a loud heart beating fast. He felt something warm touching his back then surrounding his body.
"Shh. Oh, look at you..."
The voice sounded low and cold, but her smell felt warm and comforting. He was looking right at her but he can't seem to figure out what she looked like. She had black hair.
"You have your mother's eyes, Elly."
"Elly! Elly?"
Elly opened his eyes. He found himself holding the nurse’s cup of now cold tea with both hands under his nose and sitting behind her desk. He looked up to see Alex in her boots and leather jacket with a worried look on her face, standing at the door with Nurse Jane by her side.
"Mama!" he exclaimed with a smile and laid the cup down to the table. He ran excitedly to give her a hug.
"Are you okay? Nurse Jane called and I came as soon as I can. How are you feeling?" she knelt down to look at his son’s arms and neck exactly the same way the nurse did.
"Better. She gave me this." he opened his mouth to show her the lollipop.
"Allergy drops." Nurse Jane told Alex.
"Is it good?" Alex asked him while looking closely at his eyes. He looks fine.
"Yah, it tastes like strawberry," Elly replied.
Alex applied some pressure on his cheeks with her finger. "Does this hurt?"
Elly shook his head.
"Listen, sweetie," Alex looked at his son's blue-green eyes. "Why don't you wait for me outside, while I talk to Nurse Jane for like two seconds and we'll run to the doctor, then get some ice cream after, is that okay?"
"Okay."
Alex planted a kiss on his forehead as he walked outside the nurse's office. "Hey, you forgot something," she called out to him.
Elly came back and gave the nurse a hug. "Thank you, Nurse Jane!" he said with a smile and headed out the door again.
"Sweet boy," Nurse Jane closed the door and was surprised to see Detective Danvers suspiciously sniffing on her cup of tea.
"He really is," Alex returned the cup, and looked her in the eyes with a blank look on her face.
"Detective, I'm glad you-...," Nurse Jane felt nervous.
Alex walked slowly towards the nurse. "I know what else is in that cup, Nurse Jane, but I'm not here to judge you, alright?" she said without blinking.
"I'm just trying to do my job, Detective," Nurse Jane politely replied.
"And as long as you're doing it right, we're good. You got that?"
"Yes."
"I just wanna say thank you for the drops and for calling me right away."
"You're always welcome. You should take him home so he could get some rest. I already spoke to his teacher so you don’t have to worry about anything.” Nurse Jane nervously looked out the glass window to where Elly was waiting. “He's such a brave boy."
"Well, he's a Danvers," Alex smiled. "So, we got to go now. Thanks again."
"Sure. Just give me a call by the end of the day on how he would respond to the drops so I could inform his teacher if he won’t be coming in tomorrow." Nurse Jane opened the door for her and waved at Elly. "Bye."
"Bye!" Elly waved back.
Alex nodded at the nurse and headed out the door. "Come on, let's get outta here!" she took her son's hand and started to walk.
"I'm glad you came to pick me up today, Ma. I really feel better now that you're here," Elly was beaming up at his mom, eyes glimmering in admiration of how cool she looked on her outfit.
"Oh, really? I actually thought you’d like it better if your Aunt Kara picks you up."
"Please, don't be jealous."
"What? I am not!"
"Yes, you are!"
"No, I'm not! You wanna race me, huh?"
And while holding hands, they ran towards the exit, the sound of her boot echoing down the empty corridor. They reached the school parking lot and Elly can’t help but let out a short laugh at her mom.
“What?” Alex asked her son.
“You brought your bike to pick me up from school.”
“I was in a hurry, okay? And there’s also bad traffic, so...” they stopped in front of a black Ducati bike and she handed him a small red helmet. “Safety first.”
Elly just shook his head smiling and put the helmet over his head. “Do you have any idea how my friends and classmates would react if they’re seeing this?”
“Uh-huh?” Alex secured the strap of her helmet.
“Elly Danver’s mom picked him up wearing leather jacket and boots on a Ducati to get ice cream after school!” Elly says in another kid’s voice while securing the strap under his chin. “And guess what? She’s also a doctor and director of the D.E.O.!” he whispered.
“Shh! Hey! That’s top secret!” she whispered looking around the empty parking lot.
“I know, I know. But if that doesn’t spell out cool and badass, I don’t know what is.”
Alex tried to hide her smile. “You’re flattering me too much now, kind sir. You want three scoops?”
“Seriously, mom, it is what it is. And please, make that four.”
Alex laughed, shaking her head. “I guess you really are feeling better now. The nurse said that the cinnamon roll you ate got you good. I’ll bring you in to HQ so I can take a better look at you. Do you feel sleepy?”
...to be continued...

Supercorp #17? 💝
Things you said that I wish you hadn’t:
Kara comes to Lena's office balcony just a little before midnight smelling of smoke and gunpowder and clutching a paper bag. She taps on the glass door, holds up the bag, smiles brighter than the sun. Lena doesn't have to remember to hoist a smile onto her own face because Kara has always been able to coax one out of her, even on the worst of days. And this is the worst of days, though Kara doesn't know it yet. Would that she were a little less predictable, a little more difficult to manipulate. Would that she cared a little less for Lena.
Well, what's done is done. Lena crosses to the door to let Kara in, struggling to school her features into something neutral, struggling to control her racing heart.
"Supergirl," Lena says. Her smile broadens of its own accord as Kara flushes. She always flushes when Lena calls her Supergirl these days, flushes and fidgets, the uncertainty between them a wound that has been slow to mend since Kara finally let her secret spill. Still, Lena loves the way her cheeks redden, loves the way strong hands suddenly fumble, feels for a moment a different kind of powerful as Earth's greatest hero flusters under her steady gaze.
"I saw your office light on," Kara says by way of explanation. She offers the bag. "I brought pasta. It has, uhm, there are vegetables in it. For you. Not in mine though. I- Anyway, would you like to have dinner?"
Lena raises an eyebrow. "With you?"
Kara stumbles over her tongue. "Uhm, you don't- That is, if you don't want-"
Lena laughs. "I always want to have dinner with you, Kara. This is very sweet; thank you."
Kara beams. She steals glances at Lena all through setting out the food, always with that soft smile, always with those searching eyes, and Lena wishes for the hundred thousandth time that she could just kiss her. Just... kiss that stupid puppy dog look off of her face, push her up against the wall, and give her something to really get flustered about. Christ. Add that to the list of thoughts that won't keep her heartrate down.
"Voila," Kara says. "One late night dinner for my favorite late night workaholic."
"Not exactly an early night for you either," Lena retorts as she joins Kara on the couch. "National City keeping you busy?"
Kara shrugs. "I was in Metropolis tonight, actually. Just checking in. Clark is on Argo until the twins are born, so."
Lena doesn't think she's ever going to get used to Kara casually mentioning that she was on the other side of the country a minute ago like that's not a big deal. She doesn't think she'll ever get used to Kara talking about Argo, either, about the still-living remnant of the world she left behind. Lena shifts a little in her seat, eyes the edge of the coffee table where the bug is hidden, wonders if Kara has noticed it. Maybe there's another way to end this. Maybe...
"What about you?" Lena says, bringing every inch of her Luthor upbringing to bear as she forces herself to maintain a conversational tone. "Have you ever thought about going home?"
Kara shovels a forkful of lasagna in her mouth and looks away. For a moment Lena thinks she isn't going to answer, and then she says, "Yeah, I've thought about it. I miss Krypton. I miss Argo City, I miss- Mm." She turns back to Lena. "Earth wasn't always an easy place to love."
Come on, Lena urges silently. Say you should go home. Say you're considering it.
"I used to wish I'd never come here. Before Argo, I used to wish I'd died on Krypton." She makes a face. "And then I'd feel guilty about it. What an ungrateful thought, you know? But my people spared me so that I could protect Kal - protect Clark - and I failed before I even got here, and then I was such a burden on the Danvers at first, and I- I shouldn't be unloading on you like this, I'm sorry."
Lena reaches out, catches herself, pulls back. "I asked," she says gently. "It's okay."
Kara's eyes flicker back and forth between Lena's, and then there's that soft flush across her cheeks again and that sunshine-bright smile. "There's a lot to love about Earth," Kara says. She gestures with her fork. "Pasta. Potstickers! Summer storms. The mountains, Rao, Earth has such beautiful mountains. And I love my family. Obviously Alex and Eliza, but James, and Winn, J'onn, even Ms. Grant. The people back in Midvale. I always cared about Earth, I mean how could you not? What a beautiful world. Beautiful people. But for a long time it wasn't enough. I missed Krpyton too much to really love this place the way it deserved."
"Missed? Past tense?" Lena glances at the bug again, but Kara doesn't follow her gaze. She's too busy nibbling on her bottom lip and then she swallows hard looks down at her hands, fiddles with her fork.
"I still miss Krypton, but I- Rao." Kara's hands are trembling, and her voice with them. "But then I met you." She steals a glance up at Lena's face only to look away again, cheeks burning. "And then I got to know you and I- I lost my whole world and then when I found you it felt like I'd found a new one. The day I met you. That was the first time I loved Earth more than I missed Krpyton. I could never go back; this is home now. You're my home now."
Lena's hands are trembling too. She clasps them together and swallows hard, willing the tears down, willing her heart to stop racing, willing the butterflies in her stomach to stop stop stop not now. Not now. This is more than Lena ever dared imagine Kara might say to her, even in her sweetest dreams. This is too much and much too late. This is Lena's heart breaking because it's the wrong time and the wrong place and she wants to warn Kara that Lex can hear every word, that he'll never let her go now that he knows how she feels about Lena, that all Lena desperately needs Kara to say is that she doesn't love her and that she'll go to Argo and never come back please say it, and-
"Lena?" Kara reaches out with gentle fingers and brushes a lone tear from Lena's cheek. "Please say something."
Lena swallows again. "I had no idea I meant so much to you," she says, choking out a laugh.
Anguish flickers across Kara's face. "I'm sorry. I should have- I wish I could have told you sooner."
Lena doesn't look now at the bug through which Lex is listening. She looks only at Kara, at those deep blue eyes, the soft spray of freckles like stars across her cheek, those perfect pink lips parted just so as she studies Lena intently, seeking forgiveness or answers or reciprocation. The kryptonite dagger hidden in Lena’s sleeve feels too heavy and too cold against her skin as she whispers, "I wish you'd never told me at all."

Fuck ton of asks! 3, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 24, 28, 29, 31, 34, 37, 42, 43, 48, 54, 65, 66, 71, 77, 86, 95, 96, 98
This is for the gay-ish asks
3 - what is your favorite part about your body?
My mind. Done.
9 - weird habit?
IIIIIIII can’t think of one right now?
My roommate would probably say leaving the bathroom door open once I’m done in the bathroom.
10 - favorite meme?
YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO ME
Nah, it’s probably “guess I’ll just die”, the one with the dude shrugging, because you can use it everywhere.
12 - ever used a bow and arrow?
Hell yes. It’s exhilirating. Mind you (for those of you who know bows) it’s only like a 12-15 lb. force bow, but it’s GREAT.
15 - do you think musicals are cheesy?
Real talk? I used to before I really got them.
But now I have somebody in my family who wants to do musical theater, so… nah, they’re awesome.
16 - have you ever been a part of a protest or a march?
Yep! Women’s march two years ago at my university.
17 - favorite Cards against Humanity card?
Ah fuck.
“A decent fucking Internet connection” or “A cop that is also a dog.”
24 - what’s something most people love that you hate?
Dresses/skirts is what I’m gonna go with rn. Partially because I wear my pancreas and so I have to have somewhere to put it (*cough* pockets *cough*), but also because I feel exposed in a skirt of either sort.
Although I did love my senior prom dress something fierce.
29 - describe your passion without mentioning it
Words on a page. The smell of ink and old books. Finding *just* the right pen to use on that paper. Not filling half of your notebooks. Finding inspiration in everything and nothing. Stringing together 50,000 words in a month just because you want to, but being unable to fill 2 pages for a class.
31 - give us one thing about you that no one knows
Bah, I’m going to go easy on this one since you all can’t see me.
I have vitiligo! I’m like a really slowly moving, human lava lamp.
34 - what’s a song that always makes you happy when you hear it?
Lots of them.
“Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen. Just… me bouncing around everywhere.
37 - something you fantasize about?
I answered this on another set of asks, but being famous? Like, on the red carpet, hanging out with celebrities famous.
Also getting one-upping people from my past who thought I was weird. Not… the healthiest thing, but we all have our fantasies.
42 - the last time you felt broken?
hmm… working out. I think I have this perception of myself, and when I can’t physically do something it really puts me off. (This was, like, a month ago? I think?)
43 - are you starting to realize anything?
This was something I was going to say for #3 (the body one) - that my body is mine. Like, my mom hates the idea of piercings (beyond the lobe) or tattoos (at all), but I’m getting to the age where I’m on my own and my body is mine.
48 - do you have any kinks?
Yes.
(This is another one that I’ve answered - partially in this case, because I don’t want people looking me up later and find a defined, spelled-out list of my kinks)
54 - is trust a big issue for you?
I think for friends, no, but there’s a certain point that I hit for relationships - well, maybe it’s not only trust but also boredom? And a little bit of fear? I say it’s a trust thing because I worry I don’t want to get into relationships with people. Like I can get to know people all day (in fact, it’s how I prefer things), but the thought of actually consistently dating sort of freaks me out and I just… stop texting people.
65 - favorite term of endearment?
I think I call a lot of people darling in my head. It can be a lot of things - sweet, sophisticated, raunchy, you name it.
66 - who was your celebrity/fictional gay awakening?
MARGAERY. FUCKING. TYRELL.
Her first scene is, like, at the Tournament of the Roses or whatever that is in Highgarden, I think, and she’s like cheering or something, and those gowns… oof.
That makes it sound super objectifying - but honestly, I think the thing I loved most about her was her cunning and her kindness to Sansa and her ability to love no matter what. But she’s suuuuuuper pretty as well.
Game of Thrones was, like, a total bi experience for me - it was her and Jaimie Lannister. *fans self*
71 - who was the first person you came out to?
My mom. It was… not the reaction I hoped for.
77 - is there something that happened in your past that you hate talking about?
Yes. Mostly because I feel like people would think of me differently if they knew.
86 - hairline kisses or neck kisses?
Reactionary answer is neck kisses because yes. (I haven’t been kissed either way but… still.)
95 - do you have a favorite lesbian ship? Is it canon?
Ahhhhhhh fuuuuuuuuck.
I think it’s Lena Luthor x Supergirl/Kara Danvers - SuperCorp, I think? I don’t believe it’s canon and I even think the actress who plays Supergirl was ugly about Kara not being gay, too.
But Katie McGrath is a gift. (And I loved her as Morgana in “Merlin”)
96 - what is the most aggravating thing someone has said to you about your sexuality?
Okay it’s not even the “oh bisexual people are more likely to cheat” or “bisexual people are half gay, half straight”, but it was the fact that I was on Tinder (which I KNOW is a hookup app, don’t even tell me) and had a couple like me that specifically had “looking for a bisexual third” in their profile. It’s like, you don’t know that I’ll like both of you.
98 - what is love to you?
Love is… selfless. And while I don’t mean giving relentlessly, I mean caring about somebody because it’s them and you like who they are. You like the things they like, maybe not on their own, but because it makes them happy.
It’s feeling connected to somebody because you *know* them - how they tick, what they do, etc. I find knowing people comforting, and so to me gift giving is sort of like a test of how well you know them - if they light up when they see what you found for them, it’s like a confirmation of “oh, the way I think of them is right” sort of thing? That makes it sound sort of cold and calculating, I think, but that’s what I’m gonna brain dump now.
thanks @nonesofjune!
