Saeki probably finds you already half asleep in the library, but when he points over to some bean bags and suggests, cheerfully “why don’t you take a break?” you give him the flattest, most unamused look he’s ever seen in his life. At this point you barely have the cognitive functions to respond, but your look clearly says “why would I do something as useless as that” and so he draws up the bean bag by your chair and sits in it, probably reading a book or amusing himself with his phone while you work. He glances up at you frequently to try and decipher when you will finally take a break, and it’s not until a few more hours have passed that you finally put your laptop away and practically melt from your chair onto his lap. 

He accepts you readily and gratefully, using his jacket as a blanket as you curl up against him and watch recorded tennis matches on his phone, and he isn’t surprised when he next looks down to see you fast asleep. He covers your face a little more so passersby won’t see you in such a vulnerable position, but he peppers your face with gentle kisses and stays like that at least until dinner, where he rouses you and all but carries you to a dining hall, your backpack slung over his shoulder. 

Atobe had done everything he could to get to get you to go to sleep for once. There was one morning when he was waking up and you were just going to bed and he swears he almost went feral that day (but he doesn’t go feral because he’s Atobe and he would never do anything so inelegant). You know that he’s not pleased with your all nighters, and he knows that you know that he’s not pleased. But you’re stubborn as a mule and even though he loves you if you don’t get your sleeping schedule back on track he will be forced to do something about it. 

The day where you fall asleep on his lap I think he actually almost cries from relief (he doesn’t end up doing so, unfortunately), and he immediately cancels everything and anything he had planned to let you continue to doze off. You’re so exhausted that you don’t wake up when he covers you with a blanket or when he begins to pat your hair, and for a moment he just watches you and promises himself that he’ll be damned if he wakes you up anytime soon. 

Shiraishi has never felt so panicked as when he went over to your room and saw a stack of empty coffee cups in your trash, or the dark bags under your eyes OR the loopy smile you gave him that basically screamed “I have forgotten what sleep tastes like and I can hear colors”. He really wants you to just get some sleep but you say no you can’t because you’re so close to finishing this paper and then you’ll finally get a chance to sleep for (probably) a week straight. 

It’s only after you finish your paper (which, you tell him, will need heavy editing later), that you finally are able to rest with him. He kisses your hand and lets you lay your head on his leg and almost immediately he sees your eyes closed and you’re out cold. He leans down to kiss your face, and resigns himself to be your pillow, thankful that you’re finally getting some sleep.

On the translation: I’m aiming for a more direct, “Japanese-sounding” translation to share the mood of the content more as it is. This will probably cause some sentences to appear weird in English.

On Fuji’s style of speech: he uses a lot of little additions that soften the tone, and most of them are pretty hard to include in English. In general his style of speech is a balance of casual but polite.

I’m still working on Japanese, so there might be mistakes. Please let me know if you spot any translation errors so I can fix them here!

Currently, both among fans and people involved, Fuji-senshu’s change to offensive tennis has become a topic of discussion. Was there some impetus for this?

An impetus? Well… I exchanged private oaths with a certain person - is all I think I’ll say here. Fufu.

During the camp and on off days, what do you do for a change of pace?

I guess the main one would be taking pictures. Especially on an overseas trip like this, taking a lot of pictures of sights I don’t usually see arouses my creativity.

Since coming to Australia, what kind of pictures have you taken?

When you go a bit outwards, there’s a desert, so I’ve taken a lot of pictures of cacti. But though you may say “cacti” in one word, there are tall ones, types that have a form that is round like a tennis ball, and so on - there are many different kinds. Besides that, I took pictures of koalas. Tanegashima-san recommended a good place to me… I could even hold them in my arms, so I had fun. What I’m thinking I most want to photograph next is the starry sky. Since it’s the Southern hemisphere, the scenery of the night sky totally differs from the sky in Japan. The Southern Cross, or capturing the Milky Way - I’d really like to take such pictures.

Do you show the pictures you take to someone?

I often send them to family and friends. I sent a lot of pictures of the koalas to my brother Yuuta, fufufu. It seems my sister likes cacti of weird shapes.

I think the fans also really want to see Fuji-san’s pictures.

I brought many with me today, so sure. I’d be happy if people would like them.

In Australia When I find the time within the U-17 tournament, I take pictures little by little. Don’t you think this koala looks like Yuuta?

Cacti We often go for walks together. Even if it’s a familiar scenery, it becomes fun when cacti are around. 

Family trip A camera is a magical tool that can cut out a scene that will not happen again. I can’t miss doing that when I’m traveling.

Fashion

Fuji really likes knits! Are you wearing the hat with ears that I gave you? (Kikumaru)

I’m not that interested, but protection against cold is important. It’s good to warm your body properly with a stole. (Ochi)

“I guess I wear a lot of clothes in white or beige. Especially in winter, I choose clothes that don’t clash with the snowy scenery.”

Room

I’m aiming for a room with a Nordic taste Since around autumn, when I’ve had the time I’ve been changing the design little by little. I found an antique lamp, and I think I want to establish unity by using Nordic furniture. Next to my cacti, plants I got from Yukimura and Shiraishi have joined the group.

Jackal: Tears up then and there. Tries his best to hold it in, but with the amount of respect he has for all his team members, and especially Marui, he can’t help but be incredibly touched by their words. He’s so glad, knowing that all of them truly do appreciate his kindness and the work he does.

Kabaji: Completly silent, staring at the team blankly for a few long moments. Until a vivid blush begins to glow on his cheeks. He nods, only following their words with a simple “Usu” before returning to his duties. However, none fail to notice the very rare smile that remains on his face for the rest of the day.

Koishikawa: Genuinely shocked and half expects the whole thing to be a lead up to one big joke. But when it’s not, he’ll be close to tears but make sure none of them notices it. Embarrassingly telling them that it’s no big deal what he does and that they should just get back to work. Secretly though, he’s in the happiest mood for the rest of the week.

Saeki: Might seem a little skeptic at first, turning to the team with his eyebrows raised suspiciously. Once he realises they’re being genuine however, he’s overcome with surprise. Making a comment such as “What’s this? Did Oji put you up to this…” playing it off a little jokingly. But honestly, he’s touched knowing his teammates truly do appreciate him, seeing them in an even more positive light from then on.

Hi! I just found your blog and had lots of fun reading some of your headcanons and imagines. If it's okay, can I ask for headcanons on Tezuka, Atobe, Yukimura, Shiraishi and Saeki kiss their s/o? Do they have a technique to make their knees weak? What sets the difference in the mood to let them now the bed is calling them? (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

Tezuka

His kisses are sparse, but he likes to cup his partner’s face and caress their cheeks. The further into a relationship he is with someone, the bolder he gets; his kisses aren’t rough or dominating, but they’re passionate and full of emotion that he might have a hard time expressing. 

More of a slow, sensual kisser, takes his time because what’s the rush? 

Usually Tezuka knows it’s time to move into the bedroom when he kisses all over their face without much thought. Sometimes he’ll go from kissing their lips to their forehead and that’ll be the end, but sometimes he’ll kiss their lips and then go to their jaw, chin, cheeks and anywhere he can reach. 

Atobe

Absolute savage when it comes to kissing, probably the best one out of the group. 

Something when they kiss he likes to do is tugging on his partner’s hair and holding them really close, he’s an absolutely filthy person in bed (while still somehow managing to retain his pride and dignity). 

He knows it’s time to move to the bedroom when his partner’s knees go weak (it makes it easy to scoop them up and bring them there).

Yukimura

His kisses are also sparse, because he’d rather be touching his s/o with his mouth and doing other things. But he usually says yes whenever his s/o wants a kiss. 

He really likes taking control, which is probably to be expected, but seeing his partner submit to him. 

He and his s/o move to the bedroom when he starts dirty talking. It starts as low murmurs which get louder and bolder and filthier. He’s great at dirty talking, mostly because it’s something his s/o doesn’t expect him to do and because he likes embarrassing his s/o. 

Shiraishi

His kisses start slow and grow more passionate as the minutes pass. Sometimes he starts with gentle kisses on the forehead or cheek before kissing his partner on the lips. 

When he starts to lose himself in his partner’s body that’s when they move to the bedroom, because then Shiraishi is less focused on being the perfect kisser and more into letting himself go. 

He likes it when his partner is on top of him, because holding them is something he enjoys the most. 

Saeki

He’s insistent with his kisses, likes kissing them hard so that either he or his s/o ends up against a wall. He’s actually quite touchy when it comes to kissing; just like Atobe, Saeki has to be touching some part of his s/o. 

It’s time to move to the bedroom when he starts biting his s/o. When any sort of teeth are involved he and his s/o know it’s about to get down and dirty.

He likes to sneak kisses whenever he can, and more often than not the kisses he steals are the kisses that end up leading them into the bedroom.
