Or so he would think, because while Fubuki has a group of people working for her, Saitama does not have such. Ironically, Saitama may be bit of a fool to even come around in interest of having some kind of competition, bit gullible to believe that Fubuki would give him a fair competition that he chose to come and seek out but alas, all the chances he gives her are voided by the contract she tl;dr'ed him into not bothering to read.

Also Saitama:

Does not have underlings, but has allegiances many would die for.

Bit gullible he may be because he wants to believe in the good of people's better nature, but naive or simple-minded? Not really.

If Fubuki isn't intentionally playing fair, neither is Saitama. A very varied group you could even bring into "do you wanna be a millionaire" or anything kind of competition at all.

He's just a bored man seeking intellectual challenges, that's all.

Oh and best part about Saitama group? No morally evil ulterior motives unlike Blizzard group who's innate allegiances can apparently be on shaky grounds. Ironically, Saitama not being so trusting in people ascertains their true character and loyalties far better.

Genos is once again, right on money. Numbers are no replacement for individual prowess and character. At least Fubuki group needs to do a far better job at screening people if they have real enemies like this. Fubuki knows this too. I wonder...if it is the fear of Tsukuyomi group that drives Fubuki up the wall to force recruit Saitama if she must. She must know through her sister right?

Meanwhile, she could legit just have asked and told Saitama. But trusting people with sensitive or even pertinent information doesn't seem like a thing she likes doing and it'll get people into trouble. Loads of more trouble.

Apollo got away with information and is right out there, next to Saitama and Tatsumaki's fight, just biding his time.

Fubuki too, is playing chicken with her emotional blind spots; not trusting even her own group members enough which lead to this. Poeple who are with her, protecting her and working for her. She's responsible for 14-year old Lily too and brought her into this kind of situation...really awful going out there, Fubuki. ONE is not sparing her in this arc, because her moral high grounding has to stop if she's to become a real leader. She has a LOT of explaining to do, for sure.

Funny, if she just asked, Saitama would handle Apollo for her, no biggie. But now Apollo and Tsukuyomi organization have a huge upper hand again.

One thing can be said about Saitama's inner circle however which probably cannot be found from elsewhere: trust and loyalty that comes with it.

If Fubuki trusted her group as much as they trust her, then she would find the loyalty she seeks too and she could have the inner circle in her group actually help her manage her own group better and screen newcomers.

what r ur thots on Fubuki roping Tatsu into doing something with the main gang (Sai, Genos, King, Mumen and maybe Bang & Bomb) to do smth together and her gradually getting closer to them all and finding actual people she can rely on and trust and omg I'm having so many thoughts about this

First off: Y E S!

Second: I misread this at first and thought you were calling me a thot-

But, back to the idea: I love it. Tatsumaki would be so annoyed with it at first, only putting up with it because it her little sister's friends. But slowly she starts becoming friends with them all.

Saitama because his sense of humor (and by that I mean his typically dry humor) is hilarious most of the time and he's just good to talk to, surprisingly. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, and he says it how it is. Blunt, to-the-point, realistic, and shockingly wise sometimes.

Genos because his eccentricity and generally over-the-top behavior is fun to watch + she already had a leveled sense of respect for the borg after the Garou incident. The kid is all over the place in a sense thaf he would do anything if it meant going above and beyond. And while it's also funny to see, it also makes him (for the most part) reliable. His approach to heroing is also nice to see cuz half the people she works with she feels doesn't take any part of their job seriously.

King because he's very "calm" and down to earth, which is exactly the type of person she like the most (not specifically in a romantic sense, but it's also not unlikely). He's chill, sorta of similar to Saitama but with a more... emotional charm? Like, she feels she can look to him for advice (although she [probably] never would), more so than she can with anybody else. And King in general just has this energy around him that keeps her collected. Like an anchor, almost.

Mumen because his enthusiasm and golden heart is honsstly super refreshing (although she'd never admit to that). What with working in the Hero Association, dealing with them along side boring monsters and irritating peers, Mumen finds enjoyment in his job—has a passion for it. And while she thinks his optimism is sometimes detrimental to C-Class, she admires his friendliness and constant desire to help people. God knows how little of that she sees in the hire classes.

And Bang and Bomb because Bang has a sort of parental vibe while Bang is like that amusing uncle who's the annoying older brother of the dad. Their dynamic is annoying, but in that sort of affectionate way. Bang is this old guy always trying to give lessons and be... well, parental. And Bomb is an older guy that just likes to fuck around while still caring for Bomb. Sometimes she feels jealous that she never had that kind of bond with Fubuki, but she's not the kind of person to resent those old guys for it. Instead, she just silently admires it. Some of Bomb's jokes are funny, too.

And honestly? As a collective, it's so goddamn fun hanging around these bunch of weirdos. Every time she sees them it's always something batshit going on, everytime they're around there's entertaining chaos she's grown used to. They rope her into it all the time after the first time Fubuki did it, but at this point she doesn't mind it. And she can see why her little sister loves these idiots.

Just some stuff I noticed, from small to serious.

旦那 (dan'na)

K so I found it funny Black Sperm calls Saitama “dan'na” bc the term can mean different by its context, eg. an honorific for husband, patron, or master, etc. I believe it's translated to English as “Boss” which is most fit but when I first read it I automatically associated it with “master” of the more softer nuances and not the rougher casual “hey boss” sort of vibe, so I was surprised like, huh BS is unusually deferential to Saitama, esp. bc the rest of his speech pattern is fairly casual. But, makes sense bc he's seen enough to know. Also makes sense bc on one hand, rn he has to pretend to be a benign, goofy “monkey” …idk how ppl see a black teletubby n just believe it's monkey but s'ok, story logic… to get by heroes, hence the casual goofy monkey speech, but on the other, he absolutely does not want to cross Saitama, so he chooses to refer to him politely.

master (of a house, shop, etc.)​

husband​: can be used to refer to your own, or smb else's husband (add honorifics). Some other ways of address: 夫 otto, 主人 shujin,

sir; boss; master; governor​: used to address a male patron, customer, or person of high status

patron of a mistress, geisha, bar or nightclub hostess; sugar daddy ​(パトロン)

alms; almsgiver:​ Buddhism, usually written as 檀那 for Buddhist context

As you can see, a non-exhaustive list of what it can mean. With automatic association to house -hold and patronage nuances, my mental image got mildly confused for a moment. Like can you really see an obeisant, nice little BS who humbly serves Saitama with utmost formality??

I feel myself make an uneasy face I cannot quite describe.

Also it was good to see him ask about Manako, but I do want to know if she's alive and safe.

^after the scene when Forte got hit, Fubuki told Saitama to go with her and said:

あなたの住処を破壊した張本人に会わせてあげる

Basically the reason she gave for their excursion was, “I'll let you meet the person responsible for the destruction of your residence.”

Whom I thought was Psykos bc at the moment, we saw parallel scenes of Tsukuyomi guy at her cell and Tatsumaki had not arrived, but Saitama doesn't know Psykos yet, so when Fubuki made her speech, Saitama confused without so much as context to who all the ppl on scene are, then Tatsumaki arrives most destructively, he must have thought it could be absolutely no other than the “chibi” who threw Genos on a wall.

Which is why Saitama went “I see, the one who destroyed my home was…(Tatsumaki) ಠ ◡ ಠ##”

But I had to wonder who did Fubuki really mean to refer to with “the person who destroyed your place”? If Fubuki meant Psykos how would Saitama react?

Fortress Haven or Death Maze?

Well it's good to see Max and Shadow on break, but an emergency call cuts it short, and amidst the commotion, one of them (I assume it's Max) laments the place is so big it's easy to get lost.

What can I say, it's almost like the new HQ, with its concentrated yet puzzled pyramid structure, complete with a moat of self-isolation, remotely omniscient surveillance, a manufactured façade of paradise with luxury security atop seven hells of hidden disasters eager to be released, and so on…almost like it's a direct visual representation of HA's operation hierarchy: centralized system of power and economic monopoly, yet rife with office politics, factions at tension, dysfunctional management, corrupt unstable foundation, and unsavoury secrets to hide.

Cohesively staffed, an impregnable fortress. Yet improperly managed, an exit-less death maze.

And I say it bc the place is not only complicated and spacious but also uniform. Its grand Jenga-Lego stack of cluster structures look so similar, if not literally the same, from every angle, if you rotated it on a turntable, I couldn't tell the sides from each other nor which faced NESW at first.

Of course, part of why they got lost is, it's newly built, heroes just moved to residency, obviously, it's not out of expectation for heroes, or anyone who's never step foot there for the matter, to be unfamiliar with exact floor plan details of such a vast, complex structure, its design sleek at best and dystopian at worst.

But I must wonder, for I feel like it will become a problem later, HQ's isolated vast complexity… If it doesn't fall apart from its core first, what with overpowered resident, destructive visitors, and let's not forget the basement full of a nasty little monstrosity of pets the corrupt executives keep for cash flow they don't use to pay heroes.

Air and Blue Fire: Cyborg Surgery?

キュイーン kyui—n (onomatopoeia): like a whirr sound effect, low sounds of machinery at work, usually small technical ones which contract or spin. For example, camera lens… how ominous, don't you think?

While Forte is eager to get out of bed and make a quick work of the noisy monsters who disturb his already bad day, blow off convenient steam, it looks like Air can't even emote natural, human facial expressions, and it unsettles me so!

If you look long enough it almost looks like he is controlled like a puppet Σ(-᷅_-᷄⁉︎)

As for BlueFire, I can't tell if it's an empty sleeve or a prosthetic arm but hopefully he got an arm with extra spicy flamethrower fingers so he can be extra terribly efficient. He'd probably max his specs to roast evildoers out of spite. I sense one step to Genos. Same age, similar personality.

Look at how they stand. Look at how they walk. Look at their formation. If each of them were as strong as Needle Star got, fought as well as the support team cooperated, if equally valued and given opportunity to contribute their expertise, they truly would be formidable, fearsome foes, and reliable allies Fubuki can trust to hold their own and not constantly worry about. Of course part of the problem is Fubuki's own insecurities but we know she has the potential to be a great leader if she put her focus on the right path and used her power to maximum beneficial strategy

I love characters who are unintentional people magnets. Like they just waltzes through life completely unaware or uninterested in socialising and social norms and next thing you know they’ve become the centre of a giant friend group and gotten themselves a devoted best friend and/or a found family

Bonus if they’re genuinely the nicest person ever and we can totally see why people love them.

Am I the only one who doesn't actually care about Fubuki's group? I get the idea of why they exist, but every time they're around they're just plain useless. More like "Fubuki's simps group".

They haven't really been characterized enough yet to appear more than side flunkies or cannon fodder, but this is (hopefully) the arc to change that. Where Fubuki can prove and assert to her sister that her real friends are useful support to have vs how going it alone is another self-damning path (but it's going to be a tough sell after a spy posed amongst them and deliberately endangered her life.)

Alliances and allegiances

It is ironic in a way that Saitama doesn't consider his own alliances a group, even though he's well on his way building the only S-rank alliance and the most powerful one the OPM world has ever seen, probably even trumping any possible robotics group Metal Knight could have assembled.

Only Saitama would be able to get the allegiance of multiple heroes through different ranks this fast and build rapport with them all.

Certaintly an S-rank group with some other powerful people from other ranks and even outside the Hero association put together and united can do quite amazing things, as we saw on MA-arc. They just needed someone to guide them like Sekingar, so they don't end up doing petty squabbles between each other.

It is kind of funny how Saitama so easily gets all these people to surround him, just by being himself and then just like that, loyal to him because he's genuinely a good guy and a good friend and companion.

Even Genos who might find things to criticize, couldn't say anything about having a group of S-rankers where nobody compensates for their individual weaknesses with pure numbers, rather than complimenting each other's strenghts and covering for weak points and who can also all work together seamlessly with their mindset.

If things ever get sticky for Saitama, he doesn't even know just how affluential he is in terms of interpersonal relationships and he's only spreading out his influence. If other people choose to not play fair against him, he's definitely not on his own anymore even if someone tried to use underhanded tactics like Fubuki to get him to play her tune.

One by one, many of the main cast will belong in Saitama group at the end. And it'll be a big group.

I saw some TWST fics that used pre-exsiting characters to based the MC off of and I wanted to try w/ one of my favourite characters.

Problems would've been solved quicker as well.

At first glance, you don’t seem to be a threat.

To most, you look like a regular, magic-less human on the outside.

Don’t fuck around and overblot unless you have a death wish.

The Overblot crew definitely had one when MC swung their fist at them.

The whole prologue would be shortened.

Fun fact: You accidentally put too much force on the coffin door to get out, thus smashing Grim in the process while he was prying it open :D

Grim, the Ramshackle ghost, and Crowley were the first group to witness your impressive strength.

And by impressive, they mean terrifying.

To Crowley and Grim at least.

The ghost were shocked but very much amused after a couple moments.

God knows how the Ramshackle Dorm was still in one piece after that.

Grim is very happy to have a strong minion to protect him

Especially since you were almost successful to killing him in his ghost form. He’s making sure that Ramshackle gets fixed quicker.

The post-overblot Spelldrive tournament was an absolute nightmare.

Well, at least for everyone but Ace, Deuce, and Grim.

They were GLOATING about how they were in the lead and challenged anyone to try and top them like the smug, over-confident assholes they are.

The only reason why they were in the lead was because of you. Simple as that.

The Savannaclaw gang put up a good fight

All Leona could do at that moment was strategize how not to get his and his teammate’s heads chopped off by the disc you kept throwing at them.

You are quite fond of Ruggie

More specifically: you were fond of Ruggie’s haggling skills.

If were had a choice to trade your god-like strength for his haggling skills and techniques, you wouldn’t hesitate one bit.

And y’know it wouldn’t be Ruggie if he didn’t take advantage of this. He would offer you advice and tell you if theres a huge sale going on at a near-by grocery store if you promise to lend him a hand whenever he needed it.

Kalim also begs Jamil to let him deliver the food to you.

He can’t help it! He really enjoys seeing you happy when you receive something from him and Jamil.

You never complain about.

I mean, if you're being gifted something, why be rude and deny it?

Some students say that you were taking advantage of Kalim because of how easily you accept his gifts without anything in return.

And y'know they could be right

But Kalim doesn't mind.

As long as you're happy, he's happy :)

In Vil’s eyes, you are an enigma. 

It’s like he can’t wrap his pretty little head around on how he feels about you.

On one hand, other than your god-like strength, you’re nothing special. When he first saw you he only disregarded you as another potato that’s not worth his precious time and effort on.

But on the other hand, Vil sees you as a blank slate. Something that ASKING for him to put his smooth and perfectly manicured fingers on. Someone that needs his guidance and skills. 

He doesn’t care if you’re bald or have hair, it doesn’t derail him from the fact that despite you sticking out like a sore-thumb, you’re still so…plain looking.

You probably said some off-hand comment about how ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ to Vil and just walked off.

It might not meant anything to you

But it meant a lot to Vil.

When it came to the overblots and eventually Book 5, he felt as though he was in a spiral of questions that he himself must find the answers for.

And what were the questions that caused Vil’s current state of disarray about? You obviously.

He’s going mad

You had a new nickname for Malleus every time you guys end up running into eachother.

Malleus would always look forward to meeting you solely for the nicknames.

I believe that Saitama genuinely does not care enough to remember other people’s names that much

So that will be a trait for MC in this.

Malleus probably thinks this is a way humans show affection to each other.

In reality, you cannot for the life of you remember that weirdo's name.

It took a while for you to come up with a permanent nickname for him but he doesn't mind

In his eyes, it's your way of showing him how much you wanted to become closer companions.

Jack and Epel are always on your ass about “How to become stronger” and when you actually tell them the routine that you did at the beginning of your journey, they literally fell in disbelief.

They couldn’t believe it.

It was basically a simple workout routine 

Both still believe that you’re hiding the secret of how you got to your level of strength.

Thus, joint workouts became also a thing within the NRC Campus and you are the leader.

Not by choice however.

Jack, Epel, and everyone else involved were really curious as to how you train.

I mean, look at what you can do! And you’re not even a Mage!

The first meeting was terrible due to the fact you almost obliterated the school.

One flick and the gym could’ve been in shambles.

That’s why Jack and Epel made sure to do it somewhere far and secluded.

And even then, you still created a lot of damage with minimal effort.

It’s incredible to those who look up to you.

Throughout the story, you gained some admiration and recognition along the way.

From Heartslaybul to Diasomnia, you unknowingly grab the admiration of those who either want to become stronger or see you as a hero. 

Some might say that they see you as the messiah who was sent to protect the school.

But let’s not go that far.

You wouldn’t notice anyways

SHOW! JAPAN REUNION

Music Core in Saitama serves as a place of reunion between a mentor and his producing pupil.

It is not unusual for mentors to have close relationships with juniors of the same company yet the artists who drew attention for their warm reunion during ongoing performances do not have that preset hierarchy present, being from separate companies without the senior having any hand in the younger's training. On June 30th, SHINee member Taemin was seen watching the music core event from the sidelines despite their own performance having taken place the day prior, and the reason became quite clear once he greeted ATEEZ vocalist Himari with a warm embrace as the group left the stage.

Taemin was the very first artist who took a chance on the young yet talented producer, entrusting her with 'Never Gonna Dance Again : Act 1' which turned out to be his second most popular album to date and leading the two to work together ever since. Interviews with this artistic duo revealed that the senior idol would align album recording dates to fit his junior's schedule as she was apparently the only one who truly understood the vision he had for his discography. It was also said that due to his experience in the industry along with their holding of the maknae position in their respective groups, the young producer grew comfortable enough to seek advice in him, creating a sense of mentorship in between them.
