The lost sister (Part 1/2)

The next day, it was sunny. Applejack stretched and got up from bed to make breakfast. She then called Applebloom when she was done. "Applebloom! Come down for breakfast!" Applejack expected Applebloom, but someone else came instead."Rainbowdash? Wait, where's Applebloom?" Rainbowdash crossed her arms and replied confidently, "Oh, I just took her room, kicked her out, and slept there." "WHAT?! Where the hay is my little sister? Where did she go?" "I'm sure I just told her to go in the everfree forest, but I reckon she didn't even go." Applejack gasped and ran downstairs. "AHH! I have to find her! What If she's hurt or dead or r8ped?!" "Yeah I'm just gonna eat this breakfast." Applejack galloped past the barn, looking everywhere nearby for her sister. "Rainbow, how long has it been since you made her leave?" "I am not telling you, because when you're cool, you don't snitch. Nanana boo boo, I don't snitch and you do!" "SHU... Shut up or I'll tackle you." "Uhuh... Yeah, no one DARES to even TRY to tackle me. WOA-" Applejack pounced on Rainbowdash. Andddd...They started making out. "I didn't know you meant th- this way Apple-ass.." The BSD 5 Opening, Tetsu no Ori, is a love song from Atsushi to Akutagawa

Let's start at the beginning of the song, with the accompanying scenes.

Putting Atsushi and Akutagawa with those specific lyrics was probably not a silly mistake done by complete coincidence. But let's keep going!

These lyrics specifically pertain to Atsushi's feelings after Akutagawa's death. Both "places" in these lyrics refer to the afterlife-- somewhere only seen after death, and somewhere Atsushi doesn't want Akutagawa to go.

"A place you can't go" can also be foreshadowing that Akutagawa doesn't go to the afterlife. He becomes a vampire. On that note, Atsushi believes that Akutagawa can be woken up from his brainwashed state-- and actually begins to succeed in chapter 108. He doesn't believe Akutagawa to be in the afterlife, because he has faith that he's still there.

The anime opening ends with those lyrics, but the full song continues. I'll be talking about some specific parts, which pertain to the topic.

This one is pretty quickly explained, as Akutagawa and Atsushi quite literally symbolize Yin and Yang, even physically. The line about being unable to ignore the "bug in the iron cage" comes up later!

Past tense, expressing the sorrow that came after the heat of battle. "The loss of ecstacy" seems to reference the 2 battles that they won against Fukuchi, as the ecstacy of winning was taken from them.

"That we can only be slaves to something; knowing that you will lose." is referencing these rewritten battles again -- Fukuchi tells them that they won, but he went back in time (chapter 87). In the lyrics, Atsushi recognizes that they are slaves to Fukuchi's sword, that they can't win.

"Knowing that you will lose" might also reference Atsushi's thoughts on Akutagawa's sacrifice. Atsushi knows that the escape route was only for him; that Akutagawa's first and foremost priory was getting Atsushi out alive. Knowing that he couldn't have saved Akutagawa from Fukuchi, because Akutagawa didn't want to be saved. He was going to lose, in every scenario, to keep Atsushi safe.

And finally, this part. "You've already taken flight; you've become a butterfly," again, referencing Akutagawa's death. Funnily enough, I think this also ties into Akutagawa not actually being dead. Butterflies symbolize the soul, death, and rebirth. All of these are relevant to him in vampire form, so equating him to a butterfly isn't too far off. It's also very pretty and sweet.

The line about the iron cage comes up again, this time, Atsushi revealing himself to be the "bug in the iron cage." The entire sequence seems to be about Atsushi's grief, that he can't ignore and is trapped in like a cage.

His desire to be free is also tied to him wishing to be reunited with Akutagawa. "You've already taken flight / If I could fly now, outside the iron cage..." I think it conveys that Atsushi wants to escape this grief, but only if it means reuniting with Akutagawa once more.

Lastly, as my evidence, the song title "Tetsu no Ori" (鉄の檻) literally means "Iron Cage". The song itself is about Atsushi being trapped in his grief, and love, after Akutagawa's death.

I rest my case.

On average, how much time does it take them to film the first half of a season? One/two months more or less?

No, it's a lot more than a couple months...

Normally they start filming in July and they end some time in December and take a small break for the holidays before picking back up some time in January. In the past, it normally takes most (if not all) of the months (July-December) to film the first half of the season.

CORRECTION: It's July-November that they're filming the first half of the season. I'm re-reading this and realized I misspoke. December they get started on the second half

Appledash (Part #1)

"Hey Apple-ass!" Applejack hears in the distance. "Oh, come on babe. I 'ont have an ass THAT big." "OOF!" (RainbowDash crashes) Rainbow follows with, "I have no time to talk baby! I have a REALLLLLLY important flight event. I'm already running late! I cannot miss it!" (More crashing) "Oh well. I'll see ya later, sugercube." Applejack is doing her chores, but she woke up pretty early so she has no rush. After a while, it is now night. She is tired so she goes into the house and attempts to fall asleep. But she is then interrupted by Rainbowdash. "EEK! Guess guess guess what happened Applejack!!" (Rainbowdash stimming) Applejack turned around to see rainbowdash flapping her wings up and down with a huge smile. "W-..Why in the hay are ya screamin' so late at night?!" Rainbowdash lifts up a medal that's hanging from her chest. "I won a race in the event, AND I WON AGAINST THE WONDERBOLTS! Eek! Oh, and- I'm sorry for waking you up- if you were asleep." Rainbowdash kissed Applejack goodnight and walked out. Somehow, she was able to get in when the door was supposedly locked.

Everybody had expected Monarch's defeat to be a moment of triumph. Nobody had expected Gabriel Agreste, unmasked and mind frayed from continual abuse of the miraculous, crying out to all who would listen and making Paris certain of one thing:

His son, Adrien Agreste, is one of his sentimonsters.

And now he's missing.

Nobody can find him— not even the superheroes, and not even his closest friends. But Marinette, Nino, and Alya aren't ones to give up so easily. They'll find him, no matter what it takes.

(But, geez, would it kill Chat Noir to lend a hand?)

So, I wrote this ~70k word fic a long time ago and it's been sitting complete in my docs for a few months. I'm finally going to start posting it, maybe weekly, maybe even more often depending on how I'm feeling.

Basically, it's a self-indulgent culmination of my love for the OT4, Adrien angst, and hurt/comfort.

Valorie Curry deserves so much credit for her accent as Firecracker.

It’s not exactly an authentic southern accent but it is exactly the accent many southern girls (intentionally or not) put on when we’re trying to come across as likable and sweet.

It’s a blend of the southern belle accent and the more common country accent. The former is soft and sticky sweet but can come across as disingenuous and haughty so you temper it with the country accent which comes across as more relatable but can make you sound unintelligent or harsh if it’s too strong. She mixes the two perfectly for Firecracker’s persona.

She really turned it up in the scene where she confesses to having a sexual relationship with an underage boy and the combination of the accent and the words really made her sound like a hypocritical Southern Baptist preacher or televangelist.

I do wish she had dropped the sweet part a little more in private or at least in her confrontations with Annie, maybe even slipping into a rougher sounding country. But even without that it was still nuanced and made sense for her character.

Anyways, southern accents on tv are often done very poorly and I really appreciated the way she portrayed it.
