Akari sees Ingo babysitting the little Sneasels and decides to make Ingo a little #1 Dad mug out of wood as a joke.
In a classic case of miscommunication, Ingo takes this to mean that Akari views him as a father figure now. And, naturally, he decides to take this role Very Seriously. Akari thinks he’s just leaning into the joke for a while but then he just. Never stops.
He outright calls Akari his daughter, all casually while in public, and Akari finally realizes that she accidentally got herself adopted.

Quinlan and Aayla are the original Anakin and Ahsoka. Quinlan being Obi-Wan's age, and Aayla being seven years older than Anakin, Quinlan is only NINE years older than her. Legends Wookieepedia says he took her as his padawan when she was 10, which is patently ridiculous. Even if we age her up to a more new-canon-consistent age, that still gives us 23yo Quinlan and his 14yo padawan. Disaster duo. Terrifying gremlin pair.

In my continuing quest to wring meaning from the filler bits of Bleach anime episode #32, why are there 55 gallon oil drums in Inuzuri?
The obvious explanation is that the Seireitei ships its nuclear forbidden-kidou waste products out there, which also explains why there are so many carts.

Not me standing on my soapbox (again): But like I've said it once and I'll say it again, but Kaz is not the only one with trauma, and as such, should not be the only one expected to work on fixing himself for their relationship. Inej has trauma too. Like if you make Kaz talk about his past trauma, I would just as equally expect Inej to talk things that would effect their relationship. Ignoring Inej's trauma or making her the visible saint in their relationship is actually quite harmful to her narrative.

Oops, I lied about sending all my questions in one, I thought of an actually specific question and not just a super general one five seconds after sending the ask:
Do you have any neurodivergent hcs for Buster and Gob(or other characters if you hc anyone else as neurodivergent)?
This is such a good question!! Okay!! It got long so I'm putting it under the cut, but TLDR: undiagnosed comorbid autistm and ADHD for both of them plus ADHD Tony Wonder :) I forced myself not to get into it with the rest of the Bluths cause this post would be a mile long but i did put cursory thoughts about them in the tags. All of this is spitballing and I'm definitely open to hearing other opinions!
Whatever is going on with Buster’s brain is the same thing that’s going on with my brain, so most likely ADHD and/or autism but DEFINITELY undiagnosed. None of the Bluths have the diagnoses they need and if someone (Tobias) tries to so much as allude to them being neurodivergent in front of George Sr. and/or Lucille it gets shut down immediately.
Anyway Buster reads more autistic than ADHD to me but it could be either or both. He has trouble reading other people’s emotions and regulating his own, he’s “strange” and “childish” in ways that are direct responses to how he was raised but also just read as neurodivergent, he’s got safe foods and takes things literally and has no clue how to read social cues and stims and gestures vaguely at all of him is just so very ND. Also the thing with ADHD-havers being randomly struck with bouts of guilt or self loathing? I think that’s him. ADHD was recently reclassified as an anxiety disorder, too, which we know full well is Buster, and it would not surprise me if his panic and anxiety attacks were brought on by sensory overload and RSD and other ADHD things at least some of the time.
As for GOB, I think he’s got the same deal but he reads more ADHD than autistic. I think they both have both but it presents differently in each of them. I’m fully on board with both magic and bees being special interests for that man, and he also just moves and talks and interacts with people in a very neurodivergent way. The stuttering when he’s overwhelmed is, to me, adjacent to (if not straight up being) him going nonverbal. He definitely has RSD too, look at how devastated he is when anyone rejects him ever. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he was bipolar, getting manic when he’s really into a project and then falling into depression for weeks or months at a time.
And, just as a bonus, I think Tony Wonder has ADHD. He recognizes it in GOB and helps him with learn to function in a healthier happier way and his siblings are so confused cause GOB just magically started getting more normal?? Except it’s not magic (and it’s not an illusion lmao) it’s just coping mechanisms. Tony’s been collecting them from various therapists for like 30 years. He has no clue how anyone in this family thinks they’re neurotypical.

you know my niece was at the house two days ago. im just realizing right now that this might be the first time i mentioned on tumblr im an aunt now. since mainly i post my mundane and momentary thoughts on here, not my significant life updates that i do a lot of reflecting on. sometimes ill make the book im reading sound like a significant life update but alas. yes i have a niece now and she's just over a month old. she was over on sunday along w all my other siblings. it's actually the first time ive gotten to HOLD her bc she was in the nicu for awhile after she was born, and then shortly after she came home everyone in my house took turns catching colds. the niece was over though. yeah.
and my brother (not the one whose baby it is) said "you know her hair almost looks reddish." and it honestly. HONESTLY. it never occurred to me, for as long as ive been aware that i had a niece bakin in the oven (and i found out in like... mid-january that my sister-in-law was pregnant). for the entire year of 2023 i never pictured the possibility that i could have a niece or nephew with red hair. SOUNDS STUPID BECAUSE I HAVE RED HAIR. i know. i have a big irish family but in my generation out of all of my cousins, kaily and i are the only redheads. my brothers dont have red hair, neither do their wives. my parents dont. you know how jkr and other writers like to write a trope of an entire family (of celtic ethnicity) is all redheads? thats actually incredibly uncommon. if anything that's why i like having red hair; it has distinction. that distinction very much still holds within my own family tree.
so i love baby, i love her so much, she's wonderful. she's beautiful. i love her so so much. and i love her beautiful parents too. however, if she does end up having red hair. it's just reddish tinted right now and she doesn't have a lot of hair overall. and you know how babies are, it can change. if this little girl grows up with red hair i'm suing for copyright infringement. im sorry but i did it first so that's not fair.

"it's not my fault you don't like girls!" is such a crazy line for so many reasons.
they filmed versions with mike saying "you don't like girls yet" but didn't use it. hm.
"you don't like girls"? so... mike knows, right? and he backs down because bringing it up (even though technically it's not uncalled for since will was the first to make it personal but anyway) clearly hurt will?
"it's not my fault" so mike recognizes that will is unfairly zeroing in on him? that he's upset with mike specifically being the one to get a girlfriend and abandon him, himself, and their party for her?
"it's not my fault" so it's true that he feels suddenly cornered and attacked here, and that's why he puts his foot in his mouth? that he really wasn't trying to be a jerk like many still think?
the general fact that mike obviously is not the reason will's gay, but also he kind of is very much the reason lmao.
the way that he basically says "listen, i know that you're gay and all, but did you seriously think it was going to be you and me, together, us and only us, sitting in what has always been our safe space doing that which has always brought us joy, forever?" and will responds with a very simple "yes. i did. i really did." that kills and breaks the heart of everyone in a 5k mile radius including them. :(
