As his final public engagement in Singapore, The Prince of Wales visited the Centre for Wildlife Forensics at Lim Chu Kang.

The Centre for Wildlife Forensics is a special laboratory that is linked to the international effort to monitor the DNA of illegal wildlife products as law enforcement teams try to track where the animal parts may have originated.

During his visit, he tried the NanoDrop spectrophotometer, which is used to assess the quality and quantity of extracted DNA at the establishment. He was also shown a mobile app that provides visual identification of shark and ray species via its fins.
