Ok so, you know how in A Miser Brothers Christmas (aka that one unofficial sequel special that aired on ABC Family once and never showed up again) they introduced a bunch of other nature siblings in that one scene?

Well, I thought to myself “hmm what if I “demake” their character designs to make it look like that they were designed by the Rankin/Bass crew.”

So, I did just that!

These were pretty fun to make, so let me introduce them to you all

Starting off with the ones you already know, Mother Nature, Snow Miser, and Heat Miser. 🌿❄️🔥

Then there are The Wind Siblings North Wind, East Wind, South Wind, and West Wind. 🌪️🍂☀️🌸

And then there’s the duo Lighting and Thunder. ⚡️🌧️

This hunky guy named Earthquake. 🌎

And finally there’s The Tide twins aka High Tide and Low Tide. 🌊

I’m pretty pleased with all of them! The irony is that I like these supposed “demake” designs over their looks in AMBC (especially North Wind like, holy shit.)

But yeah, hope y’all like them as much as I do.

Oh, and there’s a reference for all of their minions as well tehe

🌻🌼South Wind aka the summer lady, aka the mistress of the sand and dust, aka the queen of the deserts, aka the world's best dancer, aka the person who made up all those titles for herself...!🌼🌻

Hangs out with West Wind most of the time, thought West is not as social as South.

Snow Miser's emotional support.

Most of the time she's chill, only during celebrations and parties she shows an energetic side of her personality.

Enjoys dancing and singing, mostly something pop or country style.

Doesn't really like doing her job and argues with Heat Miser because of that.

Despite being cocky and prideful, she never looks down at anyone.

Cacti and Sunflowers are her favourite plants.

Sees North Wind as her rival.

Often fights with High Tide for the territory of sandy beaches, because ruling over deserts is not enough for her.

This morning I was walking out of my doctor's office when the words "South wind" entered my head. The words seemed unrelated to my other thoughts. It was a still day, no wind.

I wondered, what does the South wind do?

This afternoon, Alice Walker explained:

"That the South wind shall scorch their bodies and make them wither and shall not be tempered to them. That the North wind shall freeze their blood and numb their muscles and that it shall not be tempered to them. That the West wind shall blow away their life's breath and will not leave their hair grow, and that their fingernails shall fall off and their bones shall crumble. That the East wind shall make their minds grow dark, their sight shall fail and their seed dry up so they shall not multiply."

Australia comes from Auster, Roman god of the south winds. That's something wikipedia told me, at least. Apparently, Auster was Latin for south or something. So when Australia was discovered, they must have remembered that fact and decided to name it for the south winds. Maybe. I'm not confident in this fact, but I found it too interesting not to share.

Nature Family Reunion Headcanons!

Mother Nature likes cooking, but it's still a nightmare to prepare for the Family Reunion. Her children, literal embodiments on different natural phenomena, eat a lot, more than regular living creatures. East Wind and Heat Miser help their Mother with cooking.

Elements rarely see each other during the year. When they meet it's only for work, so that's why Mother Nature each year organizes the Family Reunion. She assures that the Reunions are necessary for yearly reports, but she actually wants her children to spend some time together.

The Nature Family have been having such an important event for years, so of course they got some family traditions. For example, at the end of the Family Reunion Mother Nature takes a photo of herself and her children. She has dozens of photos like that now.

Other family tradition is that elements help their Mother to clean her garden after gathering.

After the dinner Earthquake and The Tides always play soccer. But because Earthquake is so clumsy and The Tides are so hyperactive at least one window ends up broken.

Thunder brings some board games. All family members agree on playing. It often doesn't end well and someone turns over the table from anger.

After the board games Thunder and Heat Miser play cards.

Snow Miser and The Tides like to compete in telling jokes.

There's some more weird contest: the beauty contest where the contestants dress up in anything they find; who is the fastest ice eater contest (Snow Miser always wins); best scary story contest; fastest garden bag jumper contest etc.

North Wind talks about himself non-stop. When he's not talking about himself he discusses people he doesn't like. Nobody listens to him, except East Wind who's afraid to hurt his feelings.

High Tide annoys someone. Usually it's Lightning or Heat Miser. But in both scenarios HT ends up in trouble.

West Wind plants roses while South Wind plants cacti. They always fight for the place for their plants. They do that every Family Reunion, so Mother Nature now has too many roses and cacti in her garden.

Lightning tries to save East Wind from North Wind's nonsense. She asks her sister to help her and Thunder to choose proper shapes for the clouds.

Since the elements are not used to seeing each other they have arguments over minor things. So the Reunion can't be without at least one fight.
