SRL Splatfest Research Team here with new findings! The 11th Splatfest theme will be "What's your go-to greeting? Handshake, fist bump, or hug?" As scientists, we're disappointed that "terse nod" was left out, but we'll observe from 4 PM PT on 11/17 to 4 PM PT on 11/19 anyway.
Harnessing my inner toxic player and saying if Frye doesn’t win this splatfest I’m gonna throw a fit. not because I’m even particularly patriotic about this splatfest it’s just that this is the first time in a while Frye has actually had a decent chance of winning and this poor woman has had to endure over a year without an NA/EU win
The EU players not getting their Deep Cut Banners until after the Splatfest reminds me of when some players couldn't get their sea snails after Gear vs Grub vs Fun
it’s dumb and infuriatingly ironic that the moment they made splatfest regional, frye wins in japan and shiver wins in na/eu. but the regional fest change is probably for the best in the long run even if this is a painful start lmao
so the anniversary splatfest results right (spoilers if you haven't seen the results yet)
at this point i'm so used to shiver winning that i'm not even mad, i'm just confused how she got 55% of the popularity overall
i hear that jp players are big fans of shiver so that could be why, and if so, maybe nintendo should separate results into a regional [like NA (North America), EU (Europe), JP (Japan), etc] category and a worldwide category so that we can see how everyone did while also giving more chances for other teams to win since jp players make up a ton of the player base
it just feels bad when i tried my absolute best for my team, with everyone i know thinking we'll win (on my team or not), but then we get absolutely dunked on by shiver, though this could be team frye copium
edit: though, it's not entirely japan's fault, of course. plenty of people love shiver, and i have seen jp players on other teams, which is partially why i still want to see worldwide leaderboards. plus, it'd be neat to see how our own regions perform in the splatfests in comparison. i just think this addition would limit a lot of the toxicity surrounding splatfests right now, so that more people are happy
It's kinda lame that the JP regional Splatfest gets these very unique ink colors while the EU/NA regional just has basically the same gotdam colors we've BEEN getting.
We're getting this Splatfest literally next week (next Friday for us here, Saturday for EU if I'm not mistaken), which is quite soon after the last one
I imagine they're clearing December not only for the season update/Big Run, but FrostyFest later in the month!
If I had to make a guess, I'd say FrostyFest will take place on December 17th-19th, as the next week would be Christmas Eve/Christmas Day; not sure if they'd hold it directly ON the holiday
So if we do get FrostyFest, we'll get the announcement no later than December 10th-ish?
Again this is just speculation, but that's my guess! We got this announcement November 8th, so December 10th seems to track with Splatfest schedules
