I've been surprisingly good about keeping up with my temperature blanket so far but that probably won't last long 🤣

I decided to do a row of white between each of the months... That might not have been a smart choice considering some of the lighter colours almost look the same when they're next to each other 😅 Oh well, too late now!

A sea-shore cowl for my godsister to use up some of the million chunky blue leftovers I have! I absolutely love how this came out since it was pretty much improvised.

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Chunky - my best guess at the shades is White, Duck Egg, Teal, Empire, and French Navy (they were all scraps without labels!)

Pattern: I used the ‘long wave stitch’ from this video for the main body of the cowl, and the ‘wave border’ from this video for the sea-foam edge!

I started this project in January to get through the enormous stash of Stylecraft Special Chunky I’d managed to accumulate (mainly from me and my dad’s temperature scarves), and to challenge myself to develop my own patterns and charts. They’re now finally done and up to buy on my etsy store!! Purchase them here to support my little craft endeavours!

SHARK BAG!! This pattern was so goofy and fun- another christmas gift for a uni friend! He’d be great to hold a water bottle or something I think :oo

Yarn: Main body is King Cole Ultra Soft Chunky in the shade Navy, leftover from a christmas sweater from last year, strap is Stylecraft Special Chunky in Teal! Not sure about the teeth.

A pattern I’ve had planned for ages, for a wonderful wonderful longtime friend @unattended-fire-in-bagging-area!! Merry Late Christmas!! The colour palette reminds me of the glow in the dark stars I used to stick on my ceiling :,)

Pattern: I used the Star Granny Square by Alyssia Creates, construction was improvised haha

Completely different colour scheme from last year, and a simpler pattern with chunkier yarn because I'm matching with my dad! We've split the balls of yarn in half :D so we'll be able to see how different the temperature is when I'm away at university!

She’s done!!

Nobody guessed the inspiration, I don’t think, but it was Bagpuss!! Old fat furry cat-puss!!

No idea why, since it was made in the 70s, but Bagpuss was EXTREMELY formative for me. I still remember all the songs :,) This sweater turned out so cute and comfy and it makes me so happy to wear it !! I need to make more things for myself, haha, it feels so nice.

Pattern: ‘I’m Obsessed Jumper’ by Brenda Lam (with slipped-stitch stripes and texture (Andalusian stitch) added by me!)
