Hello! Would you be willing to write about someone who finds out that their roommate and childhood best friend is actually some kind of supernatural creature? Preferably m/m but its okay if you’d like to change the genders.
Have a nice day!!!
"You're...uh...wow."
Maybe Holden should be horrified, but all he could really do was stare, dumbly entranced. The staring wasn't that different to normal, if he was going to be really horribly honest with himself.
But Atlas also wasn't normally crouched near stark-bollocks naked in the middle of their dorm room. He didn’t normally have dark, gorgeous wings unfurling from his back. He didn’t normally stare at Holden with eyes that had gone from blue to literally black too. Hungry. Heated.
Holden hastily shut the door behind him before someone else on the floor saw.
"Are you, uh, okay, man?"
His best friend was, very clearly, not okay. His gaze tracked every small movement that Holden made.
"You," Atlas growled through his teeth. "Are not supposed to be here."
"Right. Yeah. Uh. My class was—" Holden lost his trail of thought as he continued to stare. "God,” he said, a little dizzy, “you look incredible."
Five-year old Atlas had been funny and brave. Nineteen-year old Atlas also had the absolute gall to be stunning on top of that. It was, frankly, terrible on a night out. On his own, Holden did okay. When he was standing next to Atlas though, more and more as the years passed by, he may as well have been a potato. He couldn't even hold it against anyone. He did enough trying not to stare himself.
But...he definitely hadn't noticed the wings before. He would have noticed wings, right? Even with that smile and those cheekbones to distract.
He realised, dazedly, that he'd drifted closer. One step, two step, three, until he was standing right over Atlas. Close enough to touch.
"Get out." Atlas sounded strained. "Now." His fingers – his claws – dug into the threadbare carpet.
Holden wanted to run his fingers through Atlas's blond hair. He wanted to kiss his parted lips, the line of his jaw, the beautiful curve of his throat. He wanted to touch every inch of Atlas that he could. He wanted Atlas's hands on him, sure and just as smitten as Holden had been for years, and he'd do anything, offer anything if—
"Holden."
The sharp snap of his name cleared Holden's mind a little. He shook his head and backed up. "Sorry. I—"
What the hell was he doing? Heat rose to his cheeks, mortified.
There were a lot of reactions one could have to seeing their best friend suddenly sprout wings, but Holden was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to just drool over his roommate like some kind of neanderthal. He'd done such a good job of not letting his stupid feelings impact their stupid friendship until stupid now too.
It wasn't like he'd never caught a glimpse of Atlas without his clothes before. It had never made him like – he would never have – but would it be so bad if he just—?
No. Something was definitely wrong.
Holden whirled around, heading back for the door. He'd opened it only a crack when Atlas's hand slammed down on it, shutting it again. The lock clicked as Atlas bracketed him with an arm on either side. They weren’t quite touching, but they were close enough that he could feel the heat of Atlas against his back.
He hadn't even heard Atlas move. His breath hitched.
Atlas groaned. He let his head thunk against the door, above Holden's left shoulder, as he drew in ragged gasps.
Holden heard him swearing and muttering under his breaths. He caught a few words that’s sounded suspiciously like ‘bloody scheming bastard vampires’ and a much more familiar ‘shitshitshit’.
Up close, Atlas’s new cologne was…was it cologne? Holden’s head felt cloudy again. He dug his nails into his palms, desperately shoving down the truly ridiculous urge to turn around and kiss Atlas immediately.
“What the hell is happening?” He squeezed his eyes shut. “You have wings. You have – I feel –”
“You’re supposed to be in class for the next three hours!”
“My class was cancelled,” Holden said. “Some last minute—”
Atlas caught hold of his hips, spinning him as if it was absolutely nothing, pressing him back against the door.
The bit of Holden’s brain that wasn’t too busy with oh, yes please reminded him that Atlas was not that bloody strong. He should not be able to do that. He always skipped the gym when Holden went, despite looking like that.
“What are you?” The obvious question finally penetrated the fog.
Atlas’s attention lingered on his lips, seeming…distracted.
“Incubus,” he murmured. He’d always had a nice voice, but in that moment, that word, it was like caramel. Sweet on Holden’s senses. “God, you’re pretty. Sharing a room was a terrible idea.”
It took a second for the actual response to register, let alone the rest.
Incubus.
“What?” Holden yelped.
It was all some elaborate joke.
(Atlas didn’t do pranks.)
It was impossible.
(Those wings looked very real, no matter how impossible they were.)
How had it taken 14 years for him to notice his best friend was an incubus?
(Did that mean he didn’t really have a crush on his best friend? It was just – what he was?)
Atlas’s fingers grazed just slightly beneath Holden’s jumper, blazing hot against the skin above his hips.
Holden asked no coherent questions whatsoever. He didn’t even manage an incoherent word. Every reasonable thing he should have been considering vanished in a haze.
His best friend was an incubus? Sure! Whatever. Nothing mattered except the fact that there was really far too much distance between them. Atlas’s mouth was right there and – Holden couldn’t have said which of them initiated the kiss, but it was ravenous and he was putty against the door. Head empty. All need and greed and wanting. He finally got to tangle his fingers into Atlas’s always annoyingly perfect hair and –
The lock clicked.
Faster than Holden could fully comprehend, the door was open and Atlas had bodily shoved him into the corridor. He landed sprawling and ungraceful on his butt.
He had a second to peer up, bewildered, at the look of absolute raw desire on Atlas’s face before the door slammed shut. The lock clicked again.
The texts pinged on his phone a moment later.
Don’t come back until I say so.
Will explain later.
Sorry.
Well, crap.
Holden pressed a hand to his mouth, catching his breath and his sanity with Atlas out of view. Then he went to the uni library to research everything he could about incubi.
By the time Atlas texted him that evening, he was ready.

@bylerween2023 DAY 5 & DAY 6: CAME BACK WRONG/SUPERNATURAL CREATURES
this was one of the first things i’d started working on for bylerween and also probably took the longest LMAO but anyways: an iZombie au! based on the comic—not the TV show of the same name, if that wasn’t clear.
the key thing both the show and comic do share though is the idea that: zombie eats brains -> they get memories of the person whose brain they ate
i do wanna do some more stuff in this au/setting at a later date because i have ideas, but throwing this little… introduction to the situation together seemed like a fun thing to do for this event 💜

Well Met By Moonlight Part 12
Long time no see on this one. Sorry about that. I was trying really hard to balance everything out, but it didn't work. Hopefully this makes up for it.
I would absolutely go back and read part 11 considering how long it's been.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11
In this we find out where the blood came from, Billy gets a gift and a shock, and Eddie proves he's smarter than people give him credit for.
****
Robin sprayed Steve down with a hose and washed away all the blood. Then he shifted. Tommy climbed on his back and dug his hands in the thick fur by his ruff.
He let Tommy steer him to where he needed to go, behind them he could sense both Nancy and Hopper in wolf form running on either side. Neither of them carried any scent of blood, so they weren’t one of his pack who had woken up covered.
Now that he was back in wolf form he could smell that the blood on him wasn’t human. Thank god, but it was still a problem because the scent didn’t smell like any animal he’d ever hunted before.
Patrick was literally on the Coven’s doorstep when Steve arrived. He was surrounded by Billy, Heather, Chrissy, and Keith. Patrick was barely breathing and it looked as though he had been mauled by something. Something big.
Bigger than even Steve.
He nudged Tommy for him to get off which the keeper did quickly. Steve shifted back into his human form.
“Why didn’t you heal him?” he snapped at Billy.
Billy laughed. “Because I figured it was a present to me.”
Steve’s head snapped up. “But you weren’t the one attacked, I was.”
Billy stepped over Patrick’s body as if he was trash. He leaned into Steve’s space. “And you’re weak. Everyone knows it. This was the supernatural community coming to me and telling me that it’s time to dispense of the...” he paused for dramatic affect. “Pleasantries.”
Steve growled and snapped in his face, causing everyone present to gasp.
“I dare you to try, Billy,” he snarled. “You won’t do shit. Everyone knows you’re actual coward, hiding behind the veneer of the Dominus rank. I know about your little spy. I even know who it is.”
Billy was forced to take a step back.
“You don’t know shit, Harrington,” he sneered, trying to gain back the footing he had so clearly lost. “But go on then, come get him if you really think you’re strong enough to take me on.”
Steve scoffed and knelt at Patrick’s side. “I don’t have to take him, Hargrove. I can just do this.”
He picked up Patrick’s wrist. “I can save you,” he murmured. “But you have to consent.”
“Saved me,” Patrick rasped. “Can’t save me–”
“I can,” Steve insisted. “Just give the word and I’ll do it.”
Patrick nodded.
Steve looked up at Chrissy and Keith. “You both saw him nod, yes.”
Keith nodded and Chrissy said, “Yes. I attest that he nodded.”
Steve lowered his mouth onto Patrick’s wrist. Billy whirled around to try to stop him but both Heather and Chrissy leaped to grab his arms to hold him back.
Nancy and Hopper looked on in stunned silence as Patrick’s wounds receded. The boy’s body shook and he howled in pain. Then he laid still.
Everyone watched on.
“Now we see if he has the potential.” Steve got to his feet. He was still naked as he turned to face Billy head on.
“Why would you do that?” Billy snarled. “He tried to kill you. Now if he survives he’ll be able to finish the job. God, Harrington I thought you were dumb but this takes whole new levels.”
Steve scoffed and got right into Billy’s face. They were standing toe to toe and even though Billy was taller and broader than Steve when his blue eyes met Steve’s hazel, Billy ducked his head.
“You didn’t listen, as always,” Steve growled. “He said that I had already saved him. Which means the blood I found when I woke up this morning was that of whatever attacked Patrick.”
Just then Wayne and Eddie landed on the ground behind them, fully transformed. Wayne’s wings were grey to Eddie’s midnight black, but the were longer, heavier, darker in a way that had nothing to do with color but from the aura that surrounded the older vampire.
As none of the current coven were over the age of fifty, most of them born vampires and young, Billy had to bow to Wayne’s age and experience. Wayne hissed and Billy stopped struggling against Keith and Chrissy. He went boneless in their arms as he sank to his knees.
“It’s done,” Wayne said solemnly.
Everyone turned to looked at Patrick.
The boy’s breathing had evened out and his wounds were healed. His clothes were still tattered and torn, covered in the patina of his attack. Steve could hear his heart beat and it too had evened out.
“Take him back to the compound,” he said fiercely. Hopper and Tommy helped Patrick to get on the back of Nancy and Tommy climbed on to help keep him from sliding off. Then Nancy was off like a shot, tearing off toward home.
Steve knelt on the ground and sniffed the blood that remained. It had the taint of something feral and dark. Not werewolf. Not vampire. Some other supernatural being.
“Christ!” Wayne hissed. “What the fuck is a cat sìth doing on this side of the Atlantic?”
Billy scoffed. “There’s no such thing. Not ever legend is real otherwise we’d be fending off at least a thousand demons from Japanese folk lore alone.”
Wayne glowered at him. “Be that as it may, boy. The fae are not only real, but deadly as hell. It’s only because the cat sìth wished it so that he lasted as long as he did.”
Steve rubbed his jaw. There was something off. Something that didn’t make sense.
He shook his head. “A cat sìth was involved, no doubt. But I don’t think that’s who attacked Patrick.”
Every head turned to Steve.
“What do you mean, Stevie?” Eddie asked.
“I’m a good fighter,” Steve explained. “But there is no way that I would have been able to fight one off not if Patrick was the target.”
Billy licked his lips. “Because Patrick wasn’t the target.”
Steve nodded. “The cat sìth was on hand to feast on the real target to make sure there was nothing left.”
“So who was the target?” Hopper growled.
“Considering that Patrick was dumped on Billy’s doorstep?” Chrissy said, “It’s a sure bet it was probably him.”
“But why?” Keith asked.
“Holy fucking shit!” Eddie hissed. “I know exactly what the plan was.”
Billy scoffed. “Like a bitten could figure it out before a bred. Go back to your trailer, trash.”
Wayne leveled Billy a glare that Dominus met head on. Neither man flinched first.
“What have you got, Eddie?” Chrissy asked, breaking the tension.
Eddie puffed out his chest and preened a little at the attention. The alpha in Steve woke with a possessive growl that caught in his throat.
“Patrick was poisoned.”
Every head turned to Steve in concern. Well all but Hopper.
“He’ll be fine,” the gruff former alpha informed the crowd. “Part of the perks of being a werewolf. We can’t be poisoned. It doesn’t stick.”
Steve grinned wolfishly at the vampires. Wayne rolled his eyes.
“Wait,” Chrissy said. “If that’s the case, then they were banking on Billy turning Patrick into a vampire, weren’t they?”
Eddie nodded. “They assumed that Billy would want one of Steve’s assailants as a vampire kind. Adding a valuable ally to the Coven.”
Wayne nodded. “That’s a good thought, boy.” He ruffled Eddie’s hair fondly. “But they didn’t account for one thing.”
Billy grinned this time, finally having caught on. “That I wouldn’t allow a bitten in my coven.”
Steve’s eyes went wide. “So what about the cat sìth?”
“That’s where their plan gets ingenius,” Eddie said. “Billy turns Patrick, Billy dies from the poison, the cat sìth eats or at least mangles Billy’s body, and it looks like a turned vampire killed the Dominus, turning the whole coven against Wayne and me.”
Wayne rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “I’m strong and so is Ed, but there is no way that we’d be able to take on an entire coven on our own.”
“Thereby removing the town’s fiercest protector from the board,” Billy finished. “Whoever this person is who’s calling all the shots, I’d like to meet so I can rip off his head.”
Steve winced. “There’s still the problem of what attacked Patrick if it wasn’t the cat sìth.”
Wayne crouched over the spot that the young man had lain and touched the quickly drying blood with all four of his fingers.
He shook his head. “I can’t tell what it was. It’s no beastie I’ve ever run across.”
“Which means that it wasn’t anyone from the community,” Billy said, his relief palpable.
As much as Steve hated to admit it, he agreed with Billy on this one. If Wayne didn’t know the type of supernatural being this was, that meant that it wasn’t someone from Hawkins.
Unfortunately that meant research and Steve wasn’t very good at it. Nancy was, but he wasn’t sure she would tell him what she found, alpha or not.
Eddie seemed to pick up on what he was feeling because Wayne and he shared a glance. Eddie nodded.
“I’ve got you, babe,” he murmured, low in Steve’s ear.
The alpha relaxed.
“As much as I would love to stand around and chat,” Billy said with a sneer. “But the sun is up and I have no intention of frying out here.” He signaled for Chrissy and Keith to follow him and they all went back inside the large manor house that served as the coven headquarters.
That left only Steve and Hopper with Eddie and Wayne.
Steve turned to Hopper. “Get the pack together so I can explain. And you will not speak of what happened here until I arrive. And I forbid Nancy and Tommy from doing the same,” he said slipping into his alpha voice, not trusting Hopper to do as he was told otherwise.
Hopper bristled but shifted back into his wolf form. He took off in a dead heat back toward the Harrington Compound.
Steve sighed. “I don’t know what to do with him now that he’s back. It’s caused such upheaval in the pack that I’m fighting even the ones that backed me in the alpha challenge.”
“It’s certainly not how things are normally done,” Wayne said, nodding. “I will speak with him and see if I can’t get him to be more understanding.”
The alpha nodded. “Thank you.”
Eddie pulled off a backpack that Steve hadn’t noticed in the hubbub of Patrick’s attack and started pulling out large, billowy clothes. He handed the top set to Wayne, who quickly got to work covering every inch of his skin.
As Eddie did the same, he grinned at Steve’s confused expression. “We knew there was a chance that it would be full light by the time we cleared this up and packed accordingly.”
Eddie’s clothes were black to Wayne’s white, but they both included a large brimmed hat, gloves, and bindings to seal their sleeves and pant legs to their limbs.
Steve thought they looked a little ridiculous, but smiled as he waved them off.
He looked up at the manor, once dubbed the Creel House, named after a man who had built it right in vampire territory and paid the ultimate price for his impertinence.
Whatever was brewing in town there was an undercurrent that seemed to stem from the very under belly of the supernatural community and if Steve didn’t figure it out soon, the town was going to rip itself to shreds.
He shifted and ran at full speed back to the compound. He just wasn’t sure if he was running from danger or towards it.
And that frightened him.

I can’t find my original post but I’m once again thinking about:
Human moving to a town full of supernatural creatures and being unnoticed because they happen to blend in really well, and maybe the Human doesn’t really know for sure that no one else is Human until a new Human moves in and the other creatures start gossiping with the first Human like “did you hear a Human moved here for the first time in 200 years? I didn’t know Humans could still find this place” and that first Human is so confused and questioning their own humanity
But now I’m also thinking about the second Human brushing off all the townspeople as just being eccentric until they see the first Human and they’re just like “Idk what that is, but that is not a Human :/“

The Evermore Grimoire: Shapeshifters
Kitsune (狐, キツネ) are foxes that possess supernatural powers that increase as they get older and wiser in Japanese folklore. According to yōkai folklore, all foxes have the ability to shape-shift into human form especially once they reach the age of one hundred. One of the Japanese fox’s most well-known powers is kitsune-bi (狐火) or fox-fire. This is a red flame produced by a kitsune by either breathing or wagging its tail. They can have as many as nine tails and when a kitsune gains its ninth, its fur becomes white or gold. There are thirteen different types of kitsune, each with their own element, including Heaven, Dark, Wind, Spirit, Fire, Earth, River, Ocean, Mountain, Forest, Thunder, Time and Sound.

Short Prompt #113
“What are you doing in my house?” Usually Human would have followed that with a vehement and maybe even physically aggressive, “Get out!” But something about the huddled figure’s wet clothes and large amber eyes stopped them short.
They squinted. “Do I…know you?”
“Sorry,” the figure murmured. “It was raining so hard…and you’re the only one who’s ever invited me in. I didn’t know where else to go.”

The Hunt - 18+
Summary: Running barefoot through the forest was probably a bad idea, but the adrenaline coursing through your body didn’t give you time to regret your choice.

Running barefoot through the forest was probably a bad idea, but the adrenaline coursing through your body didn’t give you time to regret your choice. You had to be fast - no hesitation, no thinking - just moving on pure instinct. You could feel something creeping up the back of your neck, you wanted to look behind you but you couldn’t risk it, couldn’t risk the precious seconds it might cost you. You knew it was only a matter of time until it finds you, you couldn’t keep up this pace for much longer.
You were prey. You were being hunted.
You felt yourself straining for breath, lungs burning and heart pounding in your chest. You had to stop, to catch your breath, but you couldn’t just give up that easily. Thinking on your feet as you ran, you decide to try and climb a tree and hide - you knew it wouldn’t really do much in the long run but you couldn’t keep going, the burning of your legs and chest was becoming too much and you refused to just let it win. You spot a tree with a branch you think you can reach and launch yourself at it, feet dangling as you try to pull yourself up. In the few heartbeats it took you to pull one leg up onto the branch, the beast was on you. It’s clawed hand wrapping around your ankle and pulling you down, making you scream. You land on the ground, the beast dragging you closer to it. You refuse to give up and let your stubbornness and instincts take over, you kick and scratch and do everything in your power to get away from it.
A solid kick to its snarling face makes it loosen the grip it had on you, and you take your chance - you pull and twist, get back on your feet and run. You don’t get far when it slams into you from behind, tackling you to the ground. You’re trapped beneath the beast, with no way to get enough purchase on the ground to fight back. It snarls in your ear, deep and low and dangerous, trying to make you submit to it. You vainly struggle again and this time it has had enough, it wraps its jaws around the back of your neck, sharp teeth pressing into your soft flesh, hard enough to hurt but not enough to break the skin. You fall still, not wanting to have your neck ripped apart accidentally because you were too stubborn to accept you lost. It snarls again as it holds your neck before letting you go and it lifts itself just enough so it can turn you around, laying you on your back.
You take it its appearance as it looms over you, it kind of looked like a large wolf, but real wolves don’t move like this, don’t grow this big - it’s lips were curled up into a snarl, displaying it’s sharp, white teeth. You could see its nose snuffing occasionally, taking in your scent, and its black eyes stared down at you, glinting wickedly. You shift enough to bring your hand up to its face, and huff out a laugh as you gently trace its features with a finger.
“Well, I guess you win” You murmur, deciding on teasing now that you’ve lost the hunt, “You gonna claim your prize?”
Almost immediately it began moving, leaning back slightly to give it enough room to tear your clothes off your body, leaving you bare underneath it. You feel a slight thrill course through you, sure it was the middle of the night and you were deep in the woods, but the idea that someone could walk past and see you pinned down underneath such a large beast - a werewolf - aroused you more than you thought it would.
It snuffed its way down your body, clawed fingers still gripping tightly on your upper arms and keeping you pinned. It begins to lick at your body, its smooth, wet tongue leaving a trail of saliva across your torso. You moan, wanting more, but you were its prize and it was going to take its time enjoying you. Slowly, so slowly, it works its way down further, licking and tasting as it goes - it pulls away for a moment, making you whine and lift your gaze to meet its and as soon as you lock eyes, it begins to devour you. You moan loudly as it licks at you, it’s careful to not let its teeth hurt you, and it doesn’t take long before your whole body is shaking with need.
It eats you with a frenzy, like it can’t get enough of your taste, until you’re almost screaming with pleasure. The intensity builds and a few moments later, you let out a loud moan as you reach your climax, entire body shaking, and it keeps going, keeps licking until it becomes too much and you push at its head. It relents and snuffles its way back up your body, nuzzling at your throat while you catch your breath. Your beast whines, nudging your cheek with its nose, and you huff and press your hand on its cheek, opening your eyes to gaze at it.
“M’kay” You slur, almost feeling drunk, “Want you”
Your words spur it on, reminding it of its own arousal. It lifts you into its arms as it kneels on the ground, holding you against its chest. It snuffs against your neck again, gently nudging you before it lowers you down and you feel its arousal at your core. You dig your nails into the fur on its back and shoulders, whining at it to hurry up, and it does just that - it presses you down and fills you up. It snarls and fucks into you with all its strength, holding you against it and ensuring you have no leverage to move. It fucks you like your its own personal toy, and you suppose, you kind of are.
You moan and whine as you stretch around it, feeling every inch, loving every moment. You could barely catch your breath between each thrust, it’s snarls becoming louder every second, holding on and taking it was all you could do. You could feel yourself getting lost in the pleasure, almost desperate for another climax. You start muttering, c’mon, please, fuck me, c’mon I need you, finish inside me, please please please.
Your words encourage it and it speeds up its thrusts, you hold on for dear life as you moan with each movement. You could feel yourself edging closer and closer, and all it takes to tip you over is your beast latching onto your shoulder, biting down hard enough to draw blood. You scream, the intensity of your second climax white outs your vision, you hear it snarling as it finishes inside you. You feel yourself being gently laid down on the ground, your beast still inside you and holding you as it rests above you.
It lets you rest completely on the ground as it pulls out of you and it quickly moves back in between your legs to clean you. You twitch and moan as it licks at your sensitive flesh and you don’t know if you want it to keep going or to stop, your hand comes to rest on the top of its head, and a few more licks later you whine as you feel another climax building in you. You fingers grip its long, pointed ears and you use that to push and pull where you needed, and you climax for a third time. You come back to your senses as it picks you up, cradling you in its arms against its chest, you feel light and heavy all at once, your limbs shaking like jelly, and your mind blissfully blank.
“Home?” You hum, closing your eyes again.
It rumbles in response to your query, and you let yourself drift off.

Vital question for goths out there...
Somehow even tho I'm goth, I see myself more as a werewolf, is it a personality thing?
Cuz the stereotype is that goths are vampires, but is that really the case?
Also could be related to why I see myself more as a werewolf: I consider myself a deathrocker more than a tradgoth

I already have ideas for the other members of Corroded Coffin Jeff is a born vampire, Brian is siren (the Greek version that is part bird), and Gareth (because I headcanon him Welsh decent) a gwyllgi (creature like the werewolf but transforms into a large black dog).
And I might use more than one of these if they're popular enough.

Specific scenario that only I enjoy:
A world full of humans and supernatural creatures, and they tend to be at odds, and in order to keep peace and make sure the creatures don’t feel comfortable with attacking humans (because humans are usually at a disadvantage with only a tiny select few having magical abilities), there’s a “protector” chosen each time their predecessor dies
And the protector is always the human with the highest magical power who’s been trained how to take their role seriously and essentially uphold order between the creatures and the humans
Unfortunately,,, with choosing people with a ton of power and giving them a highly respected role, you’re gonna get a few (a lot of) creeps in there, so add in depositions and inter-fighting when someone else suddenly gets stronger than the current holder and stuff like that and you’re gonna get the position passed around like a hot potato, so who currently holds the title is something that there’s always a ton of confusion around
Enter the MC who’s even stronger than the very first Protector that was chosen, but is advertising none of this. This is a really stressful job for them. They were just chosen and they’re actually taking it seriously, and it’s distressing for them to uphold “order” when they don’t anything about the creatures’ culture and stuff like that.
So their grand idea is to live with the creatures for a bit, really get to understand them, so they can be a better mediator
And the creatures have no idea that this human is the current holder of a position that is widely hated and feared by the creatures
(Also a part of this is that a lot of the Protectors tend to be creepy “holier-than-thou” attitudes but actually super corrupt a-holes, and this oc is none of that)
