the armorer watched the empire slaughter the original covert on nevarro and absolutely refused to abandon her forge out of respect for the dead. she then had to build an entirely new covert from the fucking dust (and paz vizsla, i guess) which probably took her YEARS to do. not to mention, she has had to relocate her entire. fucking. forge. THREE TIMES in the process. she’s also ruthlessly decked imps and pirates (who were hired by the empire) several times as we’ve seen. yes, she’s strict with din, but who wouldn’t be? she witnessed the entirety of the covert lay down their lives for him and grogu. and even after all was said and done, she welcomed din, grogu, AND bo with open arms once they were reedeemed. i think it would be so incredibly out of character for her to be this scheming mastermind working for the empire. she’s someone who embodies such strong heart and discipline; she’s an amazing representation of their strain of mandalorian culture. tldr: don’t EVERR talk about my WIFE that way.

i love that they keep calling each other "friend". they are friends!!!!! they're the best friend the other has waited their whole life to have. the one who appreciates their little games and is delighted to join in on them, the one they can play dress up with, have inside jokes with, feel safe around, the one who will praise the fish they caught or the new shirt they're wearing. they were both very lonely boys desperate to be seen and valued for who they are who grew into deeply hurt, lonely men and then found each other, in spite of how unlikely it was.

i love that the show isn't saying "they're more than friends." that idea has always sat wrong with me, being friends with someone is a wonderful thing. it means there's someone out there who knows you and cherishes you and is happy to share their life with you.

this isn't an undefined relationship status situation, when they say friend they mean "this is the most important person in the world to me." ed and stede are friends who love each other and who want to kiss and make love and get married but they will never stop being friends!!!! the kind of friendship they have is the thing they've both been been yearning for their whole lives.
