“I told you, I crave something sweet, and we both know you´re a sweet temptation I can´t resist…”

Once again Cora blew my mind with this story, as I am writing this review, I´m recovering my breath, this story was amazing and I dare to say one of the sweetest stories Cora has given us since Twisted Emotions, and what´s even more shocking is that Cora has managed to write such different story yet having such control in the other families we´ve met along her books.

Guilia is the sweetest girl, she´s been raised in the mafia and she knows that her father has to arrange her marriage; but she doesn´t expect to be married to one of the cruelest Underboss of the Famiglia whom recently lost his wife and has two small children. She´s strong but she is barely a woman, she’s just discovering herself and being a mother is not something she´s had the time to think about.

Cassio lost his wife, has two small children to take care of and is Underboss; he needs a mother and a wife, so he can focus on his job. The moment he meets Guilia, he knows that her life was about to change but in mafia, there are duties you must fulfill. But as they start to spend time, he wasn´t expecting Guilia to be such caring wife, he can´t trust her because of his own past but there´s something that Guilia is doing right because he´s starting to live again.

Cora´s writing is always a roller coaster, but this one is very different, kind of a rare gem if you´d like. I´ll probably read this one over and over and never get tired of the emotions these books have provoked on me. Guilia and Cassio are of my favorite couples, I didn´t expect to fall in love with Cassio but the personality he has is nothing I imagined, and the way Guilia takes her role and truly makes everything with love creates such a sweet dynamic between the two of them.
