Skipped ahead a bit and finished tamaonsen's 2023 album 'Labyrinth'. Honestly I'm a fan, but while still being hip-hop it's pretty different in terms of mood/energy and features one member pretty prominently. It's a little more on the like... genre mixing kind of experimental side, especially where Remilia/Flan are concerned but I like things like that. Solid beats all around (wish there was an instrumental album), the original songs were more recognizable to me, less flow-y than Stilling but that's exchanged for higher tempo songs and some energy which I wouldn't call 'hard hitting' (mostly because I'm not sure what that means) but at least made me smile and bounce a bit.

Couldn't find this version of the song anywhere on here, so just had to try and raise awareness of it.

One of my absolute favorites of all time, listen to it almost daily ever since I came across it years ago. The original is good as well, but enjoy the energy of this one so much more; memorized the lyrics almost to the point of being able to sing it from memory.

rolling contact is a great circle. i quite like his uplifting trance stuff, like his touhou meets trance album, but his early non-touhou stuff is great as well.

personally i've been listening to Spicy Shooting Stage by ネムレス lately. it's a cool hyperactive j-core/j-pop fusion album.

i've also been listening to a bit of ユウノウミ, especially their pop/denpa stuff, like 東方人妻ようちえん and 東方ヘクトパスカル. it's all over the place genre-wise, as is most iosys-adjacent stuff.

and finally i gotta mention shibayan records' toho bossa nova 2. man that shit is awesome! definitely check it out if you haven't heard it.

if you're asking about what i've been listening to in general and not just touhou stuff, i'm listening to a ton of denpa. and 2010s pop because i'm a nostalgia junkie.

2016 Tamaonsen album finished.
