First of all, im in like episode 250 and so far he hasnt been shown attracted to any woman at all during the whole show so far, not even when one changed clothes in the same room as him and this is anime so you know there were other characters with bloody noses and shit. He got stuck in a chimney. While his crewmates sail their ship he takes naps. He learned how to cut through metal by fighting a guy who could turn his body into metal blades. That's metal. He refuses to fight this liberal marine officer because she looks like his childhood best friend and its just understandably really awkward for him. He's autistic. He's a he/him bisexual lesbian. He's a gay man. He's ace/aro. He's whatever you want him to be babey!!

He not only has a sword he has *three* swords. He's absolutely gay there's no way to see this man as straight. Also one time he licked his sword for no reason and that was really funny to me so I had to mention it

Look, this man thinks about three things: Swords, His Captain, and Booze. He’s on a quest to be the worlds greatest swordsman. The Live action has a scene where he declares his undying, unwavering loyalty to his captain WHILE reaffirming his promise to be the worlds greatest swordsman. At this point His dream and his Captain are so intertwined it’s crazy. Man is so sword-y he’s got three of them. When one of his swords broke he carried its empty scabbard until he was able to give it a SWORD FUNERAL. He hears a sword is cursed and takes that as a challenge. He will literally tell his swords off for “bad behavior” when they “act up” due to being straight up cursed. He tests one by throwing it in the air and sticking his arm out to see if it is so blood thirsty and ill tempered that it will cut him. Even though he’s literally the first mate if you ask him what his role is he’s going to answer Swordsman.

He's dedicated his life to two things: becoming the greatest swordsman in the world and his captain, Luffy. 

He mastered the three sword style. Its his style. It would've been more swords but he could only fit one sword in each hand and one in his mouth. He wants to be the world's greatest swordsman, a deal he made with his childhood best frenemy (before she died falling down the stairs). He thought he was All That at the start and was almost completely decimated by the actual Worlds Greatest Swordsman. Now, after two years forced training with that guy, he's probably in the top tier no-doubt, and honestly could already be the best but we just don't know for sure yet. Also, did I mention: he's got the whole demon/devil imagery going on at times. And he has absolutely no sense of direction! plus is a total softie when it comes to Chopper and all the children who somehow gravitate towards him. And he loves naps!

One of the guy's main goals in life is to be the best sword fighter and he fights with three swords which I think is telling enough of his skill.

first and foremost, sabina is incredibly intelligent, though it becomes clear very quickly that she's book smart beyond anything else. she also tends to be considerate most of the time, with a strong sense of justice to back her up.

🤍 WHITE HEART — what are three of your oc's neutral/questionable traits?

sabina is a passionate person, and puts her whole heart into anything she cares about. often to the detriment of herself and those around her. the same can be said for her loyalty, which ties her to people and concepts in ways that she refuses to break. she is also reserved, and tries to keep her thoughts and emotions close to her chest even among those she trusts.

💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc's negative traits?

the biggest one if her vengeful streak a mile wide. in line with her loyalty to others, she will defend those she cares about bitterly and with a tendency towards violence. and, where she is not considerate (and even where she is) she tends to be callous and distant. her short-temper makes each of these traits worse, and she has a tendency to lash out at others for the most minor inconveniences.

💘 HEART WITH ARROW — what and/or who do(es) your oc consider the most important to them?

felix is the most important to her. she knows well enough that her answer should be lachlan, or her people, or any number of those who have stuck by her through it all. but she will always put her father first, and his opinion is the one she values the highest.

🧡 ORANGE HEART — does your oc tend to prioritize family or friends?

family. always family. her biggest issue is that she will always prioritize her family over the friends that have chosen to love and trust her. when it comes down to it, she will always leave her friends to chase her family.

💛 YELLOW HEART — how many languages does your oc speak? what language(s) are they learning, if any?

sabina speaks three languages: the common trade tongue, aretian, and little bits and pieces of kalina's mother tongue that does not have a name yet. she's not currently learning any more languages, but she does find linguistics fascinating.

💚 GREEN HEART — does your oc prefer being inside or outside?

this one really depends. if you had asked a young sabina, before everything went to shit, she would have adamantly declared that she prefers being outside where she can be among the plants and all their names that she knows. now, though... she's been chased away from her home, and the nights or weeks in which she's able to take shelter in an abandoned home or someone's barn are some of the best. she's so very tired of the outside. she just wants to go home.

💙 BLUE HEART — does your oc have any cool/special powers and/or abilities? how are they with magic, if it exists in their world?

this is also a tough one! she originally had magic when i first made her, but over time as i've refined my magic system, i really don't think she does. at best, her sword is enchanted and she has learned through the years how to best utilize its enchantment in her own way. otherwise, she's completely and utterly ordinary. she's not a seer, shapechanger, or enchanter herself.

💜 PURPLE HEART — what is your oc's ancestry/genetic background?

because she's from a fantasy world, this is a little harder to define, but she's aretian on cressida's side (mediterranean with heavy greek influences) and something else on kalina's side (russian influence with dips into poland). i still need to finish my damn worldbuilding.

🖤 BLACK HEART — has your oc killed or seriously wounded anyone before? have they broken someone's heart and/or broken someone's trust?

all of the above babey! before the events of the book, she would have never hurt anyone if she could help it. at this point in time, her family murdered and her home occupied by strangers, she is familiar with violence. her first real kill is her brother, nicodemus, in the end. and in chasing after her traitorous brother and abandoning the attack launched to reclaim the capital, she betrayed her closest friends and advisors, and utterly broke lachlan's heart. even felix is betrayed by this, but he is not surprised, and he loves her anyway.

The countless times when Villads would come home smelling of either cigarette smoke or alcohol — or, in the rare case, just the cheap cologne he would wear to work — yet that didn't stop Chrysalus from welcoming him home with open arms. The evenings spent with the older man's head resting in Chrysalus's lap, talking and talking until either one of them fell asleep.

Now, they'd just become a memory to reminisce, on nights where Villads would drink until he was senseless because of his pathetic lack of self control.

But, as he stared down at the bloody corpse of his lover, of his Chrysalus, he couldn't stop himself from shedding a tear. Or two. Or three. Or much more.

It was pathetic, really. Villads always tried to put on a stern persona at work, trying to convince people that the blood he constantly had to scrub off of the floor never bothered him. Most of the time, it worked. Now, there he cried as he scrubbed the same crimson liquid, silent sobs racking his body. If only they'd just had more time, if only Villads had taken the chance to say, with full honesty, eye-to-eye with Chrysalus that he loved him, then—

Villads's eyes shot open. It was just a nightmare. He was okay. Chrysalus was okay. There was no blood he had to clean.

To make sure of this fact, he sat up groggily and desperately searched for any indication that Chrysalus was actually still alive. Fortunately, the slow rise and fall of the man's chest soothed all of Villads's fears. Well, nearly all of them.

He lay back down and embraced his love, the centre of his universe, trying to control the tears that now flowed out of his control from his eyes. He prayed Chrysalus wouldn't wake up to see him like this.

It’s definitely been a day of partaking in my favorite Christmas tradition of the past like, six years.

That being. Getting soft thinking about Saeyoung going from hating Christmas, to slowly coming to love it more every year post canon of his route. Because he has Saeran back,,, and he has his mc,,,

And all three of them are able to reflect on how they’ve grown over the past year and different little victories of recovering from their trauma,,, and instead they can just be silly and cozy and have fun and just… be together.

And just,, picturing Saeyoung beaming and being so giddy bc it makes him happy just to be around them, and makes him feel glad to be alive c’:

And Saeyoung and MC just being sooooo extra. With both Saeran and with each other. Just absolutely smothering each other with love and gifts and all the silly little christmasy traditions they can. In attempt to make up for all those bad years. And working on that whole “healing your inner child” thing. (Spoiler alert: it’s working. Little by little, it’s working.)

And… the whole RFA coming together for at least part of the day every year… Christmas dinners with the RFA… that precious familiar chaos. But it’s always such a delight to be able to reconnect all together again, and catch up on any details in one another’s busy lives that they may not have been able to share in the chat room. And there’s nobody else they’d rather spend their night with,,, because they’re a fAMILY. And they love each other. 😭

Every year, Kait. I get SO WORKED UP ABOUT THIS every single year without fail.

You’d think I’d be over it by now but no, that’s just another year of growth and healing babey!!!!!

No worries, I totally get it. There is something therapeutic about the situation. You know that he has gone through a lot of heartache when it comes to Christmas. It was this holiday when he had to try to make the best of it for his little brother.

I mean, one of the flashbacks that you see during the DLC has to do with his brother talking about how he's this bad kid who doesn't deserve anything. You know Saeyoung never wanted Saeran to think about himself like that. Christmas can be really tough when you grow up like that. When you don't have anything and what you do have isn't what it should be. 

So, when you think about him now, you want him to be able to experience Christmas in a way that isn't horrible. You want him to have everything possible that could make his holiday worth it. You want him to be able to smile when he gets a present or when you make meals together. You want him to build snowmen with Saeran, pour tinsel on the tree, and watch cheesy movies together! You just want Christmas to be good for him. It's going to be. That's the good news. His life is getting better because you're in it and that means the holiday can finally be what it was always meant to be. 

The found family part is what chokes me up the most. I want the RFA to get their Christmas party. I can't say that it's going to be the prettiest thing in the world because they’re a messy group of people. But, it doesn't need to be pretty. It's family. It just needs to be comfortable.

last post was very ctommy focused because im a c!inniter in my heart and it jumps out when im not . in my right mind. but then i felt bad for kinda ignoring ctubbo’s stuff SO CONSIDER THIS THE PRE-FINALE CTUBBO POST !!!!

LORDDDD i think what struck me the most with ctubbo in these past three streams has been. how normal, and so how different from how its been recently, he sounded. quite a bit is due to cctubbo having a cold and so his voice being different, sure, but beyond that he was just. acting frighteningly normal. not even putting up that blank, logical, clinical front he used to when in a traumatic situation like this. not sobbing or screaming, not cold and analytical, just. frighteningly normal and i think that was even scarier. like it particularly struck me when tommy was exposing his plans of self sacrifice and while his voice shook and he full on cried at some points and he sounded erratic and haunted, ctubbo sounded… like very underwhelmingly upset, like if tommy announced he had to cancel a trip he wanted to go on or something. like he was upset but not. heart wrenchingly so. and that in my opinion made the whole thing so much scarier because ctubbo is clearly under so many layers of denial, only repeating ‘but i dont want that!’ and ‘there has to be an alternate solution’ in a relatively upset tone. but then those layers of denial start to crack & crack and when they’re on the bench it sounds like it’s actually just hit him and he keeps repeating how pretty the sunset is and pointedly ignoring how likely it is he’ll be friendless, husbandless and familyless apart from his son by tomorrow night. and at that point when he’s talking about the sunset his voice sounds Actually. real. (again, could just be cctubbos cold but like ignore that)

also the NUKEEE PLOOOOT DIDNT GET DROPPED BABEY so happy about this. and we saw SNOWCHESTER

and the way he didnt. mention cranboos name Once. fucking Once. not when they were talking about those that died.  not when they were talking about people who could possibly be revived. i dont know if thats still the weird ccbeeduo radio-silence thing but im choosing to also ignore that for the sake of pretending its ctubbo still under heaps and heaps of denial and repression of grief he won’t even speak his husband’s name. better option than hypothetical minecraft youtuber drama tbh

maybe a small thing but. he kept pointing out the bees :)

long post where i talk about Halloween Horror Nights, rant about Howl-O-Scream, and then also say some good things too lol

safe to say that HHN setting their swamp zombies themed scarezone in Louisiana might be an attempt to disassociate the concept from Vodou? I'm unsure if that's disappointing (a well-created swamp zombie theme set in, oh idk, south florida, based on vodou, would've been interesting IF pulled off correctly?) or if I'm grateful that FL HHN AND both Howl-O-Scream's seem to be managing to pull of their events without any misused Voodoo motifs this year?? all three of them?? oh I'm so proud

2021/2022 HoS Tampa had a Louisiana Voodoo scare zone that was weird. Inaccurate. Very uncomfortable. The whole thing was themed around Voodoo dolls— which aren't even used in Louisiana Voodoo. (And aren't prominent in Haitian Vodou, either.) And some time before that they had a "Voodoo Queen" event icon— which I guess is sort of more accurate than having white people in Spirit Halloween Dr. Facilier costumes walk around (Seriously, the scare zone was bad)— and her house (which ran for like a decade straight, actually) was at least sort-of grounded in Voodoo, it at least referenced the folklore of zombies, but again, featured fucking Voodoo dolls!

And Howl-o-Scream Orlando has been no better, using the same "Witchcraft Bayou" scarezone ALL 3 YEARS SO FAR, with fucking Voodoo dolls as the imagery, and AGAIN the knockoff Dr. Facilier costumes 😭 This year they don't have it listed on the site, though, thank god.

My thing is that, I am BY NO MEANS an expert on Voodoo or Vodou, I just wish that the cultures weren't so heavily demonized by using them exclusively for horror, and misrepresenting them, at that. [Especially here, where people do practice vodou/voodoo, it seems very insensitive] AND NO MORE VOODOO DOLLS! So yeah, I'm so grateful that after a whole fucking decade, that Howl-O-Scream (and hopefully HHN) may actually be letting go of the distasteful Voodoo motif

And of course to end on a lighter note, I'm happy to point out that Tampa is doing a SKUNK APE themed scarezone!!! That's Florida culture right there babey!!! I'm dead set on going to Orlando's HoS this year, which makes me sort of sad to miss skunk ape :[

Orlando also has teased a beach-themed scare zone that hasn't been announced yet, called "Paradise Palms", which I'm so morbidly excited for. The teaser photo is a counter bell, so maybe it's gonna be resort themed, and GOD that's fun!! I'm guessing it's gonna be paired with the unannounced "Water's Edge Wellness Center" haunted house? Which is ALSO something I'm dying to hear about tbh. Orlando has had such interesting themes, and yet they've been pulling them off so well that I've been tripping over myself to go every year lol. They've also yet to announce a scare zone called "Cannibal Harbor" which is also gonna be exciting, I'm sure.

So yeah, mixed feelings galore. Somebody should tell me if there's a word to describe the downright Orientalist view of Voodoo that most people have thanks to it being misrepresented in horror. (Actually, maybe it's JUST Orientalism? note to self, research that more later when my tummy don't hurt)

I am the weed that grew among the wheat.

Starving men have made a meal of dandelion and sorrel, lupins and clover fix nitrogen in your bleached and barren soil.

Wheat won’t break the concrete into dirt, my darling,  in the places where our cities turn to wastes. Don’t waste me -

Girl-Dad! Steve Harrington Part 2

YOU GUYS :') If you don't follow me and didn't see my other post I want to thank everyone who interacted with part one of this!!! Special shoutout to those of you who reblogged, you have my heart <3. The previous part of this literally got more than double the notes of any other post I've ever made in LESS than one day!

IDK how many parts this will have, I'm just going where the wind takes me lol.

Part One

~As soon as you're recovered from giving birth (both mentally and physically) you get pregnant again... We're talking Irish twins babey.

~Steve is so excited and you always hear him on the baby monitor and from the other room talking to Rose about her new sibling

~He'll be doing tummy-time with her and just babble on and on about you and how she's going to be a big sister soon

~This time around Steve has "no preference," although from the way he's not buying many new things you can kind of tell he's hoping to use all of Rose's hand-me-downs for the next baby

"Pink could be both genders, y/n" "I know, Stevie, it's just a little suspicious, don't you think?"

~You don't do a gender reveal this time around. It's your second baby and it feels weird to force everyone into doing the whole nine yards less than a year after the last time.

~Instead you and Steve go to the bakery in downtown Hawkins and give them the sealed envelope the doctor wrote the gender in and ask if they'll bake a reveal cake just for the two (three if you count Rose, but she's not quite eating cake yet)

~A few days later the three of you eat dinner, Rose happily babbling away, and bring out the little white cake for dessert

~Steve slides his chair over to your side of the table and you hold the knife together as you cut out a little slice of the pink sponge.

~Immediately Steve whoops and grabs Rose from her spot kissing her forehead and telling her she's going to have a baby sister before turning to you and pressing a kiss onto the top of your head

~If Steve's "Man Friends" weren't grumbling to him before, they sure are now.

~Some of his relatives will call to congratulate you after sending out your pregnancy announcement and when you pass the phone over to Steve and leave while they finish talking he always comes to find you and Rose with a sour look on his face that only softens when he has you both in his arms

~One night when you're laying in bed he finally tells you that they keep telling him his "swimmers" must not be very strong, that he needs to have a boy to carry on the Harrington name, that he's going to be in hot water being outnumbered by all the estrogen in the house

~The second one is the thing that bothers him the most...

"Maybe I don't want to carry on the Harrington name... I'm fine if our branch ends with me"

~You kiss him and tell him that the only people who have any say over how your family runs are you and him and you fall asleep tangled together

~This time around Steve refuses to leave you alone anywhere NEAR your due date.

~You wake up one morning to gentle contractions and don't tell him so he doesn't sweep you to the hospital hours too early only to get sent back home.

~(You do call Dustin, your driver now since Robin moved Chicago, and let him know to be on deck)

~Steve is eying you suspiciously all day, it's Sunday, cleaning day, and what better way to distract yourself than making sure the house will be clean when you bring the new baby home.

~When you keep excusing yourself every so often to have a contraction in the other room Steve finally figures it out and sounds the alarm

~Dustin drives Will, El, and Joyce to your house to watch after Rose, and Max and Lucas are set to relieve them from babysitting duty depending on how long you're gone

~Steve is beside himself with Dustin driving. He insists that you make a mad dash to the hospital but you tell Dustin that he can take his time and that the baby isn't coming out anytime soon.

"Shithead, she needs to get to the hospital NOW!"

"Given that y/n is the one actively giving birth right now, I think I'm going to listen to her and not you, Steve"

~This baby does NOT want to come out.

~It's a rough labour, you spend most of the time either breaking Steve's hand or cursing him, vowing that you'll never let him touch you again

"I hope you're happy with two, Harrington. You'll be lucky if I even let you in the same room as me again"

"I won't even look at you, baby, I swear"

~There's lots of shouting from you, and even more apologies from Steve

"You can do it y/n. You're so strong and beautifu-"

"Really, Steve? I'm really beautiful right now? Fuck off!"

"You've given me two daughters, you're a wonderful wife and moth-"

"Not now, Steven"

"Sorry, baby"

~ At the end of it all, you and Steve get to welcome your youngest into the world: Victoria Alice Harrington
