WIP Wednesday Game 8/9/23 (Closed) | New Kings AU
So Wymack hangs up with Abby and makes his way back to her house. Pulling up and parking next to Abby's car. Abby is waiting for him by the door with two warm cups of tea in her hands.
"They went right to sleep." Abby answers a question that Wymack hadn't even gotten around to asking.
He accepts the tea. Finds himself settling there on Abby's porch as the two of them talk. Plans for getting Andrew off of the drugs. Plans for how they'll enroll Neil in the local high school. Plans on Kevin's physical therapy. Plans on Wymack getting up and getting bacon and eggs from the grocery store. Plans on-
It's late and their tea cups are empty.
"Let's go to bed David." Abby says rising up and offering her hand.
He takes it and heads inside with her. She holds his hand and knows him well enough to stop right outside of the guest room. He opens the door and looks inside to find two tufts of hair sticking out from under thick comforter. Andrew's arm is the only body part fully out from under the blanket holding Neil close. He can see the slow rise and fall of the blanket.
Wymack shuts the door as quietly as he opened it.

Keep an eye? 🌊🌊
Maybe something soft of Whalemack and Andrew ? or whalemack and Neil 🥺🥺
Hi Odd 🥰 of COURSE, I don’t have anything specific for the boys in this scene but also just Whalemack being his usual dadmack is something I hold near and dear to my heart. JellyNeil and Whalemack tho! I might eventually be back with another ask for that hehe

Andrew’s look turned incredulous.
“Are you sure you’re not seeing things, old man?”
“Oh, I saw something,” Wymack said. “It let me come right up to it. A little cut up and nervous, but it wasn’t scared at least. I don’t think it can talk. When you take off today, do me a favor and keep an eye out for it.”
Andrew made a small noise of mock disappointment. “I know you like to use me as your errand boy, but I regret to inform you I’m not as good of a sniffer shark.”
“If the thing’s bleeding, then you’d better find it before some other shark.”
Andrew rolled his eyes. He’d go look, of course.
Wymack spoke both their thoughts. “You know how rare they are. I want to figure out where it came from. How many folk do you think can say they’ve talked with a jellyfish?”
“None,” said Andrew. “Jellyfish can’t actually talk.”
