nancy, investigative journalist trying to find the string that will expose a major CEO’s money laundering scheme on her fifth coffee and eating two day old chinese takeout on the couch, and eddie, her craigslist roommate, sitting on the other end, eating gummy chinese takeout and puzzling over a mystery of his own (whether the guy two apartments down is flirting with him or just friendly, and if eddie personally would be okay with getting with a married man even though he’s 90% sure his wife is crushing on nancy hard)

cause all, all this dirt it's been dug before and all, all you're doing is tracking it across my floor (and let, let my dogs lie)
Another Cowboy Moodboard for a member of the Easy Ranch, James "Moe" Alley.
...let's just say he's tired of all the bullshit, and would rather be a cowboy. And really, who can blame him?

ur so right about the dark puckered hole bit tho. it was fucking hilarious. My sex-repulsed asexuality was temporarily overriden by how fucking funny that shit was
So glad you agree with me!! Honestly I was surprised by the sheer number of people who seemed to hate it but maybe I'm just desensitised to the psychic damage you get from reading badly written smut
Looking forward to the next chapter lmao

I can't believe I'm seriously considering making an art archive website.
Ok maybe I can because my problem solving brain is itching to do it (but where is the time and what about all those design decisions) and make it neat and "done properly" ish but -
But as for why I want to do it? Thank you Tumblr. And a little on cohost (although not surprised). And even though pillowfort is more transparent about their status and they seem to be doing ok for the next half year or so, I still want a more permanent option.
(Unless github and google drive and my computer all explode at the same time. Then we have much bigger issues.)
I've never coded a website but I'm excited to try it and play around with some automation and stuff. I'm excited and nervous. (We'll see where this goes in time.)
It's funny. I had been debating making a post to talk about times when to find fanart from Japanese artists (and maybe non-Japanese artists as well), each artist had their own site. There were search engines to find sites based on their content (and webrings?) and stuff. What I thought was neat was artists would indicate ratings (like gen vs shipping, etc..) which is something I've really missed. Either grouping each fandom's art that way or having little icons for each art piece (ex circle = general, triangle = subtle shipping hints, etc).
But anyways. Guess I might be adding making a website to the neverending Projects List!

The interesting thing about superpowered evil sides as a trope is that while it might generally be bad for the character, for the audience it’s an amazing source of both character drama and badassery. So it’s in the interesting position of being something the characters are going to spend as much of the story as possible avoiding using, while the audience is just sitting there waiting for the evil power-up to come out to play and then cheering when the character lights themself on fire and starts raining electric death or whatever on whoever drove them to that point

i took a 737-800 during the holidays and its the first flight ive been on since following u. it was a completely differrent experience. i was like imagining the engines thundrring during takeoff being like a roar. and the plane ruffling its spoilers and flaps (control surfaces test) before galloping down the runway to takeoff. photo from 40,000ft (its soaring like. a seagull now o.k.?)

Sometimes work is a fast hour you lose yourself in as you fix up the excel sheet sent to you by your boss with the info of the people your mentoring, and you end up fixing it up and organizing it because it’s so ugly looking with so much info and many pieces just unneeded.

I wonder how much Aabria might be trying to poke Imogen along towards clarity about her feelings for Laudna. Not saying that she's trying to metagame, or even influence Imogen's decision one way or another, but maybe just help her come to some kind of decision by talking about Deanna's relationship with Chetney in broad terms and letting that percolate in Imogen's brain.
Because here she is, forcibly separated from Laudna for the second time, and now she's sharing that experience with someone who had something special, twice, and lost it both times. You can't help but notice the parallels, and that could either be Aabria doing it with the specific goal of holding a mirror up to Imogen and giving her a nudge, or just a consequence of understanding narrative flow and nurturing the progression of the story because 'yarr, there be potentially interesting plot'. She's a talented DM and can easily shape the riverbank of the story to get the water flowing where she wants it to go.
So I guess my question is this: is it 'I know if I poke the story in this direction it will go this specific way'? or is it 'I know if I poke the story in this direction it will definitely do something interesting'? Did the parallels occur organically and are now specifically being accentuated, or is that just how it's working out because they're all just that damn good at telling a story?
