In my mind they’re back together with a happy ending. He knows that the break up has given you both time to think about what you want and how to make it work this time.

When you saw that his desire for you was as strong as ever when you met again, it reassured you. I don’t see Tim as a seducer or an ambiguous man with another woman, he's very respectful of the person he is in a relationship with. And you know you have to work on your jealousy (it’s not that easy, I know 💀) and he will help you.

He's not an aggressive, possessive man. He's pretty self confident, and he trusts your relationship. He's really mature about it. You love to feel him close when you go out to restaurants or movies, and he loves to put an arm around your shoulders when you walk. He doesn’t do it in a possessive way, he just loves it, and he knows you do too. I don't see other men trying to test him.

Tim is a mix of ice and fire. When you go to the movies, he watches your cute dress and feels your body against his, and he just can't wait to feel you around him. He takes your hand and leads you to the bathroom just before the movie and fucks you there, your back against the wall, your fingers lost in his curls. His nose is buried in your neck and he thrusts in fast and hard. He just loves to hear you trying to hide your moans.

And a few minutes later, while you watch the trailers, you look at each other, smile and laugh.

I'm scrolling through some ambient noises to help me write, and it got me thinking. Y'know those white noise machines people use for sleeping?

Do you think there's a very specific brand marketed at Gothamites?

Like everyone else has rainy nights on the beach, whale song, the crackle of the campfire, and everyone's all-time favorite "rickety fan about to oscillate off your shitty ikea desk at four in the morning."

And then there's "The Sounds of Gotham," a nighttime ambiance made up of heavy thunderstorms interspaced with the wail of police sirens and the occasional smattering of gunfire.

If you upgrade to premium, you can get the added sound effect of "small vigilante child dropping onto your apartment roof followed by the heavy pitter-patter of their combat boots as they dropkick a criminal off the fire escape."

Hallway light turns on.

I squint my eyes in the dark. "What's going on babe?"

I see her silhouette in the doorway of the guest bedroom "I don't want to be alone tonight." She says

"Aw c'mere." I open the covers and make some space on the guest bedroom couch. She turns off the hallway light. My flame lighter shines her way to the couch. I hold open the covers as she lays next to me. As I'm wrapping my arms around her and covering her with the quilt I say "I didn't want to sleep alone either. When do you think they will be ok with us sleeping in the same bed?"

"They are over-protective." she says

"So they should be." I assure her.

"Yeah but they..." she refrains "nevermind"

I tell her "Let's get some rest and we can worry about it tomorrow."

"It's just that I hate this couch. I always hated sleeping on this couch growing up because I would always toss in my sleep and end up rolling off onto the floor in the dark. Sometimes multiple times a night to the point I just slept on the floor. It would give me nightmares." She tells me.

"I'm here now baby. I won't let you fall. Besides it's probably best I remain in the guest bedroom for tonight. You're in my arms now. If I let you fall I will sleep on the floor next to you..."

She says "You can't be here by morning. What would they think if they saw you and I together?"

"They're going to have to get used to it." I tell her. But I explain "Now is not the time. Rest your mind and I will see you again when you wake up.

Wake Up.

WAKE UP!"

She jolts awake. Her alarm going off. She realizes I'm gone and she is on the floor...
