I only used three pieces of CC which are also included in the file (the Corner Shower by DasMatze a smaller cabinet (Maxis match) by omegastarr82 and a modified UL window made by me (turned the 1x1 window into a 2x1 one)) Claire by awesims on the marked lot in the last picture^^ Of course, you can also delete the basement and turn the 2nd bedroom into a child’s room or something^^ I put it in St. Therefore, it features 2 br, 2 ba, a basement with two workrooms, a garden and a garage. My sister asked me to build a house for her again :D It’s meant for two siblings (boy and girl) who just moved out.

Windenburg Beach House - final version

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share the finalized version of the Windenburg Beach House, my first publicly available build shared here on Tumblr. Thank you all so much for the positive messages about this build so far, I really appreciate it and they have motivated me to keep building. There's so much more exciting things to come! This home has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The primary suite is on the main floor while a children's room and guest room is in the basement. The lot is also complete with a pool and laundry room. This home is suited for a single sim or small family who values seclusion. For design, I was inspired by Scandinavian architecture, Brutalism, and the work of Axel Vervoordt.

Bebe Bungalow - 1br, 1ba ✨

Hello, hello! I'm late as heck but here's my most recent build!

I made this house for my beach bebe girl boss sim, so it's as aesthetically pleasing as possible.

It's a lot of peach, pink and white the most aesthetically pleasing colors in my opinion.

It's mostly base game, just a lot of store content and a few pieces of CC.

This Here Package contains: 1 House for the bossiest of bebes.

It also comes as a package file, just put it in the library folder then you're good to go!

CHAMPIGNAC CC and STUFF PART 1

Before the upload of Champignac, let's talk about the CC used in the World ...

Let's face it, there is a little bit more CC used in Champignac than in our other Sims 3 Worlds, because we really wanted to create a French ambiance for a French flavored world :)

Don't worry : except 2 or 3 things, we still use the same creators stuff aka mainly ATS ( Around the Sims 3 ) and Cyclone Sue ( from TSR ) for the build part. And of course, our own stuff which is not huge :D like our Rabbit Holes you may find here on Tumblr ...

Before any further, the fantastic towers you need to get in order to fully enjoy Champignac come from MTS ( Mod the Sims ) and have been converted from The Sims Medieval by Votenga ( MEDIEVAL TOWERS & BUILDINGS ) you may find there :)

CuriousB was the username I made up on the spur of the moment when I first joined GoS, all those millennia ago (there’s a story behind the name, but I’ll leave that for another day), and it became my go-to Sims-related username. Under construction

I haven’t done much actual playing lately, as I’ve been on a bit of a building spree instead! (And experiencing my share of pink soup, for some reason.)

Firstly, Merybury has some new luxury waterside residences, just next door to Lydia and Henry’s beach house - so they’ll no longer enjoy their uninterrupted views of Lake Merymere (or the seclusion of their hot tub). These were very much inspired by @vimpse​ (here).

Hello after a longtime coming I finally completed my save file for Hylewood. i'd say its been almost 2years on and off and I hope you enjoy it : ]

Things to know about the world

7 households (14 sims) + 9 npc's i placed for work (23 sims total)

3 empty residential lots & 1 house that has no sim so move in or bulldoze

the sims come with skills and a job so yay

has all your basic rabbitholes + gypsy wagon

it has a consignment shop , festival ground , campground , park , garden area, somewhat of a beach , bar , gym/cafe

lots i didn't make : Planet wobbit by NapoleonFrost ,Joes corner by Everlasting garden and a house by pixelbots

the library is connected to the bookstore/spa so you will have to actually go to the lot to see it.

forgot to mention this world is probably good for at least a generation or two

when it comes to ep i used everything the original world uses however at the end of me checking everything i realized the npc house i added into the future bunk beds so if you dont have it its fine. other than that i used every expansion pack ...exclude itf lol

there was cc used i put it in the downloads folder theres a unmerged version and a merged just incase you have something i used and dont wanna mess up the game .

also i HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NRAAS REGISTER/OVERWATCH

Grandrapits

Hello everyone,

This is the last of my build a hood master posts. The city that started it all: Grandrapits! 

You’ve seen me share these lots one by one for the past 2 years and I finally decided on the district names so I can share the map with you! I built this neighbourhood to play with the sims I created. I guess it’s also called build a hood challenge, or something similar. I’m not up to the lingo but I wasn’t really building or playing it as a challenge. This all started when I found myself bored with the premade hoods and when I found the pooklet method of creating new sims. 

Anyway, enough history lesson. I’m sharing this hood and the district names with where every lot is placed in case if you also want to create your own hoods but don’t want to create buildings for them. I used the similarly named, because I’m so creative with naming, Grandrapits map from Modthesims made by Suhina-Lempi. 

More info is under the cut!

Here are the names of the districts. Each district has a distinct architectural style. New Beginnings and Downtown uses the “industrial loft turned residential space”, Silverpine is “suburbia with somewhat modern houses” and New Haven is going to be ”tropical”. 

I, of course, have plans for more lots. I’m only on second generation so there are no distinctly rich households yet. I’m planning on creating rich household district in Goldenhills, beach tropical ones in Butterfly Cove and small, cheap apartments in Downtown. (I’m also thinking of making a one big apartment lot with apartments for 3 people each -like starting the founders with roommates- and 4 or 5 apartments in total for a mega starter apartment on that empty square in New Beginnings but we’ll see.)

New Beginnings is where my sims have started their journey, all of the founders have now moved to Silverpine and the first kids are almost off to university. Which made me get side tracked and start building a university hood for them called Evergreen Institute of Technology. Some of you may have come across its master post. At the time I’m typing this post my game is giving me a lot of grief like missing nightlife clothes and random crashing which kind of made me lose my enthusiasm for building more. I had to completely reinstall the game and decided to rebuild my downloads folder which is taking a lot of time. But I digress, let’s take a closer look at the lots and districts:

The DLC Legacy Challenge

CreatiI wanted to share a legacy challenge that I came up with to change up my own gameplay and explore more content in TS4. Each generation focuses on one DLC. It does not follow the traditional/original legacy rules as I haven’t assigned any points or anything like that. It also isn’t a super elaborated challenge. The player can choose themself what kind of story they want to tell with each generation.

Disclaimer: I do not own Vampires, Realm of Magic, or Star Wars GP packs nor any of the new kits, so any gameplay included in those DLC is obviously not included in the challenge. All other packs are included in the order in which they came out (last generation = Snowy Escape, 14 generations total). If you don’t have all the DLC, you can simply skip a generation. You may share this challenge, but please link to my tumblr.

Rules: Each generation must produce an heir, but there are no rules as to who can be an heir, that’s up to the player. Adoptions are allowed too. You may only proceed with the next generation (= move them out) when the next heir has a) reached the Young Adult life stage, and b) the previous heir has fulfilled all their objectives. You may, however, start working on the succeeding heir’s aspiration etc. while they still live with the previous generation. The objectives do not need to be completed in the order they appear here. If an heir has fulfilled an aspiration, a new one may be chosen. Each new heir starts out with starter funds (§20,000) on a new lot in the world assigned to that generation. You may play in a Tiny Home and use those perks if you own that pack. If you want, you can limit each generation’s CAS and B/B to their respective pack. However, you can always include other gameplay aspects from other packs too. Spares and spouses’ traits and aspirations may be chosen freely. One objective for each generation is to get married. You may opt to neglect that objective and choose to play with other types of families as well. Just make sure to have a subsequent heir for the following generation. The legacy is intended for a normal life span, but you may change to longer/individual. I just wouldn’t recommend short life span :D You may use CC and mods to enhance gameplay as long as it doesn’t give you an advantage with any of the objectives (no cheats allowed!). 

Disclaimer: Parenthood GP has not been assigned for a specific generations as I feel those gameplay features will be used anyway in raising generations.

PROJECT  NOUMEA , 480

Hi again!

First of all, sorry for the delay. It was intended to upload this last weekend, but I had to attend some personal stuff.

So... anyway, here I present you: Project Noumea, 480. This is my first Sulani's house available for download, so, hope you like it. This is intended to be a house for a family of 3 (parents and teenager). The master bedroom has a deco PC with a Photoshop display (because mom likes to draw all the great views she has from the house) and also the chair used isn't designed for a desk. So, if you want a 2nd functional PC, you can change the deco PC and replace the chair. Last but not least, the teenager's bedroom has it's own private access from the exterior, for those "sneaky nights" at the beach.

All the exteriors were done to look like the "Stavanger House", a Norwegian project. The interiors tho, are completely different. Here's the original project:

Gardening in Blue -- Tiny home build SIm 4 

20x30 lot  1 bedroom 1 bath  84,939 Simoleons 

Lots of Mods and I have all Packs

Base Game, Get together, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Island Living, Spa Day, Dining out, Vampires, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, Fitness, Luxury, Perfect Patio, Backyard, Romantic Garden, and Cool Kitchen. 

I used bits and pieces of everything. Binge watching speed builds over the last few days I decided to play around with a tiny build in Willow Creek. I wanted to create a really nice outdoor kind of living with the hot tub and bee boxes. Lots of gardening stuff, and the flower arranging table. Entertaining on one side of the house with stairs to the roof for a rooftoSims p cookout or a lounge in the sun. On the other side of the house take advantage of the yoga mat and the soft sounds of bubbling water in the fountain to work on your wellness skills. 

Lot has been play-tested and aside from some odd clipping through a divider, and a few slightly weird interactions with the dining table in the house, it all works pretty well. Sims will ignore the walls and the couch if sent to bed. but they can reach both sides of the double bed so two sims can live here.

Introduction to TS4 modding!

Hi friends!

About two years ago, I uploaded an introduction post to CC and mods! This is my edited version, as of 2/27/2019. Feel free to leave any comments/constructive criticism! And if you have any questions, let me know and i’d be happy to answer them for you!

Sims 4 mods can be a bit confusing and I don’t blame you. For years, I didn’t even bother looking at mods because it seemed so complex and over my head.

Let me first start off by telling you, mods are nothing to be afraid of. I am going to give you everything you need to know to mod your game. Everything- from CAS Hair to adding traits to your game!

What is Custom Content?

Also known as “CC”

Custom Content is items that are added to your game. This does not edit the game files in any way. For example: Shoes, Computers, Hairs, Beds, Etc. Things you can use in either CAS or Build mode.

CC is created by meshing, which can be done in Blender, MilkShape, and other 3D rendering programs. This will be relevant later.

CAS- Create A Sim

Build Mode- The mode you’re in when editing/creating a building on a lot.

Custom content can be downloaded from many many sites. But my favorite ones to download from (That are trustworthy) would be

The Sims Resource and Tumblr

Please be aware, Downloading CC Files isn’t always safe. CC Files can break your game but luckily, it can always be fixed.

Tip: Do not turn on automatic updates for TS4. Whenever TS4 has an update, REMOVE YOUR MODS. That can also break your game.

There are two different types of CC Files. Packages and Zip Files.

Packages is usually just one cc file. and Zip Files tie all packages together.

For example, Let’s say your downloading an outfit. (Top, Bottom, and Shoes). Package files can only hold up to one item. So-

Package File= Top            

Package File= Bottoms        

Package File= Shoes

Zip File= 3 Package Files.

These Zip Files need to be extracted.

Extract- pulling the files out of a folder that is zipped.

Or- you can unzip the file, which then allow any external programs to access that folder.

So when placing CC Files into your Mods folder (User/Documents/ElectronicArts/The Sims 4/Mods) You do NOT place zip files in your Mods folder.

When you extract zip files, it extracts them into folders. This can be extremely helpful if you prefer your mods folder to be organized. You can directly put folders into your mods folder, and TS4 will still read & recognize them.

Zip files can be extracted in 2 ways.

For PC:

1. You can manually extract by double-clicking the zip file, which will then open the zip, allowing you to copy and paste your cc files in your Mods folder.

2. You can download WinRar which is a program that easily extracts your files to a specific destination.

For Mac:

1. Double-click the zip and it will automatically extract into a separate folder for you!

2. Download an extracting program, Like WinRar, or one from the App Store to extract your zips.

Script Mods.

Script mods are different from CC files. Script mods edit your game files and add on to the base game.

This is where ‘How CC is made’ becomes relevant. Script mods are not 3D rendered. Scripts directly change how the game functions with hand-written code.

Script mods can be extremely dangerous. CC does not edit your game files, it’s basically just an add-on.

Script mods are installed just like Zip Files. Do NOT extract them from the zip file. You simply place the entire zip file in your mods folder.

The reason for this is that script mods are coded using Python. It’s a coding language that can be read by the game files. Every file in the zip of the script mod is needed to be able to work properly in your game!

For example, if you removed a folder from your TS4 file location, it wouldn’t work properly. And same goes for Script mods.

Next!

How Do I Install Mods to my Game?      

It’s really easy! Let me show you-

First, start TS4 and wait for it to load up to the main menu. At the top right of your screen, you should find a tab with different buttons on it. There is a button with three vertical dots. 

Pushing this should open up your Settings.

On the left, click the tab “other”

You will see that there are boxes that haven’t been ticked.

There are two options, Enable Custom content and mods, and there is Script mods allowed.

Tick both and ensure that they’re on. And DO NOT forget to press apply changes.

The picture above shows all the files located in your Documents folder. This is where you’ll find your Electronic Arts folder. With your TS4 game files located inside it.

This is what you get when you go into your game files. Your game really needs these! Without them, there would be no game. So make sure not to fiddle with any other folders.

This TS4 folder has cache files, screenshots, music, and all your log files! (and a lot more but i’d rather not torture you!)

This TS4 folder also has your Mods folder located inside. (It generates it automatically! So if you ever accidentally delete, Don’t worry! You’ll get a new one!)

The file pathway is (User/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods) If that’s easier for you to remember. All you have to do is Copy your downloaded CC files (They’re in your downloads folder) and drag them into Mods folder.

This is totally optional but to make it easier for me to move all my downloads into my mods folder, I pinned the mods folder to the left column, Quick access. (This doesn’t move the file pathway, it just pins it there so you dont have to go looking for it everytime you go CC shopping)

Tray Files

These are fun.. (Not really)

Tray files are REALLY WEIRD. They aren’t custom content files at all. They’re actually files that add full body sims and lots into your Sims Library. (You find both the sims and lots in game.)

Tray files, Like Script mods, Come in a Zip File. But these files DO NOT belong in your Mods folder. They won’t show up in your game because it has no way to.

Extract the files, and drag them into your Tray folder that is inside your TS4 folder, along with the rest of the game files.

If you look closely, You can see your Tray folder and your Mods folder. So they are both located in your Sims 4 game files but there is a HUGE difference between Mods, and Tray files.

Kinda maybe. :) I think it’s the wood paneling that’s throwing me, even though I used wood-color paneling in another one, and that one still “feels” beachy to me. :/ I dunno,  maybe if I’d used white paneling instead...but I’ve got another lot half-built that (I think!) is going to do green-and-white, so... I did try to do some water-themed stuff, like the ibis painting, so there’s that. :)

All of my flagged posts were un-flagged without my intervention, so I suspect things might be changing on tumblr's end?

I’ve got my fingers crossed that their bot is being adjusted. I remember when the whole “Safe Mode” thing launched a year or so ago, when they blocked just under-18s from seeing “adult” stuff, it gave a lot of false positives at first but then that went away. I have a feeling that they just sort of amped-up that same bot to be far more sensitive to certain things in pictures and text, especially looking for “underage” things, since this whole thing was sparked by Apple spanking Tumblr for having child porn on it. I’m guessing that’s why innocent pics of pixel babies/toddlers/children seemed especially prone to being flagged. 

So, it was a little overzealous at first and returned a ton of false positives. Now....I think it’s either that the bot has been “educated” by showing it its multitude of mistakes OR they simply went back to the “milder” one they’ve been using for most of the past year. Either way, I’m hopeful the false positives will stop because dealing with having to “appeal” a ton of false positives all the time is the thing that would drive me away, personally, since “no adult content” doesn’t affect what I do here.

Thank you! I have some lots up for download, though not any of the recent ones. The ones I have up are here. Most of them are empty inside, though, to reduce CC and to make it easier for me to get them packaged up. There has been a request for the yellow-and-green beach lot to be uploaded, so I’ll get to that one eventually but otherwise, if you like a particular one, feel free to request a download. I generally only offer lots by request, since packaging them up is a pain because I don’t generally build cc-free.

It’s a neighborhood I’d like to live in, too. :) And thank you. :) I’m having fun with the lots, using color combinations that I normally wouldn’t touch and all that.

Yeah, I put pool squares on every lot. Evict all tenants from apt buildings, change the zoning, build pool squares.

Yeah, pretty much everything I build goes into the Lot Catalog (Which is HUGE!) because I tend to re-use lots if I need one and don’t feel like building anything. Of course, some of them are older, from before I used a water mod, so no pool squares. Then I sometimes have to do a little (or a lot) of fiddling around to find a place to put one, usually hidden under landscaping...which I have to move in order to place the pool square, of course.

Thanks! And basically, the foundation thing is this: The “standard” foundation that’s in the game is 4 clicks high. (Meaning, that if you were to use a terrain tool to raise each corner of a square of terrain on a lot by four mouse clicks, that square of terrain would then be as tall as a block of standard foundation.) I wanted taller than that, simply because I wanted to use those spiky lavender plants in front, and they were covering up block half of the porch fence. Which is sometimes fine, but it was bugging me with this house. I wanted the foundation to be as tall as the spiky plants, so that they didn’t cover up the porch fence. So, instead of using regular foundation, I built the “foundation” with walls instead, using the constrainfloorelevation cheat to shorten that wall to 6 clicks high rather than the usual wall height, which is 16 clicks. This would’ve been (relatively) simple...except that I wanted an attached garage, too. Which caused some problems, namely not being able to place floor tiles in part of the house. But I got it sorted...eventually. *laugh* I had to start over like six times. *laugh*

It wouldn't be . And I totally get that . I don't pose my sims or do any of that stuff. I just write a story that comes to my head and use my sims as a basic picture . ����‍♀️ I call it game play writing ��

Yeah, mostly what I do with gameplay pics is just documentation, just describing what happened in the game as I play it, with no idea what’s going to happen as I go along because I just...play. I don’t have any sort of predetermined “story” that I feel I have to follow. Sometimes I’ll make up some dialog for a Tumblr post if, for instance, speech bubbles trigger something funny in my brain, but that’s not something that I would ever want to keep up long-term. To me, that becomes more like work than playing a game, even more so than just taking pictures for documenting purposes. Which also feels like work sometimes. That’s why I have several neighborhoods that I deliberately don’t document anywhere, for various reasons. Because sometimes I just wanna play, without having to take pictures and stuff.

Anyway, maybe with the queer hood I’ll do a little more with the “storytelling” thing. Maybe those Sims will have some interesting stories to tell, since they won’t just be characters randomly created by my game, like 99.9% of my other Sims. *laugh*
