Rather than using it as my 5 favourites (I feel like they're more series' that I write rather than individual fics [Sapsorrow, pollen, dreaming of you, dance series]), I thought I'd use this as a little reflection on my love for lesser-written characters. All of these are sfw, and they have been a joy to write.

This was a self-indulgent little fic spawned from my absolute love for the skeleton. I put a lot of love in here, and I would love more of an opportunity to create for him.

Bound to the enemy: Helmeppo x reader

I got a request to write an enemies to lovers one shot for the sword-fighting marine. I loved how it turned out. I didn't know how it was going to turn out when I wrote it, and it played out like a movie. High stakes, peril and dread, kisses, just fun.

The Break is never easy: Bogard x reader

This was a request I fullfilled for a beautiful mutual ( @i-am-vita ) who loves this marine with her whole heart. He is a suave, noir gentleman who ensures Garp gets his job done. I listened to 'the break is never easy' on loop, cried through a few sections, and created this.

I am Australian. This was a love-letter to my country and my culture. I wanted to see what it would look like to place Corazon and Law in our au, and the Gold Coast seemed like a nice fit. I love that little part of our country: so warm and welcoming. Bloody bin chickens ruin it, though. Hook-beaked imbeciles.

Hey Doc: Kid-Pirate Platonic Series

This was me being silly. I wanted to make a doctor for this crew, and making a gender neutral one felt fitting. Can be read as amab, afab, or however you identify - so long as you identify as a badass, absolutely done doctor who loves their crew. I love this series. Got heavy there for a minute, but we're getting back in the rhythm of things. I use this as a silly writing exercise between other heavy fics.

Reverse unpopular opinion: the last videogame you played?

I was going to give one answer, which was about Sky: Children of the Light, which is on Switch, which i honestly felt my opinion on would be pretty universally agreeing with other people that it was good

However, I realized I wasn't counting the last GAME - not just console- I played, which was a mobile game. Which actually i think IS a fun reverse unpopular opinion because I think very few people count mobile games as Real Games

Anyways the last mobile game I played is called CocoPPaPlay and it's this little dress up gacha game that is purely dress up, very little else. I'd compare it to something like Gaia Online where the primary function is to accrue cute outfits for your avatar

What i like about it is the art! The illustrations are genuinely extremely cute and appealing, with very lovely outfit design and beautiful use of color. This isn't surprising for a dress up game I guess- the entire point is to be pleasing to look at and pretty- but let me just share some of the lovely "fashion show" pages i have seen (these are user created by mixing in game outfits, accessories, poses, frames and settings):

It's very cute! The interface is big and bubbly so I like pushing buttons and seeing what different things are, I like seeing different outfits and putting together little looks!

So, there's is a funny story: my muse, my inspiration, I called it Ermenegalda, mainly because Longobards names are really funny to me and because this sort of personalizations helps me during the writing process (it's more convenient to curse at the personification of my inspiration than at myself lmao)

As for characters that inspire me: in hetalia is definetely Italia Veneziano, I'm a moth to a flame with him, i like his character and they way he interacts with others. As for other fandom my muses include Terra from Final Fantasy VI and Kuja from Final Fantasy IX. Naruto used to be a muse of mine but i don't write about it anymore.

Hello, I hope you're having a good day. I know you don't create much content for Beauty and the Beast anymore, but I wanted your opinion on something. I was thinking about a small AU where the staff are secretly supernatural/mystical beings.

magical beings i think the staff might secretly be:

lumiere is definitely a dragon you're right. this or mothman

cogsworth i could see being a tree-being like an ent or a dryad, but it's funnier to imagine him as a werewolf because it would play into every neurosis he has (and lumiere would find it hot)

plumette obvs beautiful fairy creature, too good for this world too pure etc. etc.

mrs. potts also a fairy but not the fun little children's book fluttery moth type ones, she's one of the Deep Fae from Yorkshire who will fuck you up (accepting tea from her is a devil's bargain)

i started watching ted lasso and the brainrot is soooo sosososos bad and the lack of trent tk content (and ted lasso content in general) is criminal so do you (pretty please) have any hcs about mr trent crimm the independent?

I have a confession to make... I didn't really give a shit about trent crimm the independent until like a few weeks ago. But then a combination of his thing with colin and the celebration after the game in the last episode where he is so obviously unmasking around ted for the first time that I was like oh shit ok this character is now allowed to take up space in my brain.

So without further ado:

This man. I don't know how tall he actually is. But conceptually, in my head, he is an absolute beanpole

Obviously autistic (last ep made me go back and reevaluate every single trent scene in the show for clues) and when he's jumping around with ted and beard and freaking out about 'the Lasso way!!' it literally would be less obvious if he had a physical mask to take off lol

All that said, he has a strange relationship with touch

Most places, he's really sensitive to light touches, especially the back of his neck and his knees

Will go boneless and collapse if someone (ted) tickles under his arms

Beard thinks that's hilarious. Roy rolls his eyes but would rather trent be the victim that roy himself lol so he doesn't protest

Is a dad, and so he does have a bit of a ler side

He's terrifying like Beard in that he's a silent observer, and so he knows everyone's bad spots before he even tickles them

I think that he would hesitate to tickle the team because he is so conscious that his presence in the locker room is a privilege he doesn't want to abuse

When he does get comfortable enough to do so, it's mostly sneak attacks and acting innocent after a quick flurry of pokes

Colin is the exception in that he will absolutely wreck him with the slightest provocation

I wish you would write a fic where Bruno tries to explain the concept of the Ninja Turtles to his nieces and nephews after seeing a vision of them

“Turtles are kinda slow, I think.” Antonio points to the picture book he has opened on his lap and Mirabel dutifully leans closer with a ‘Hmm’ rumbling from the back of her throat to signal her interest. “I wish I could ask them myself, but we don’t have turtles in the Encanto. But this book says they are really slow.”

Mirabel is about to ask something when Bruno interrupts. “Except when they are ninjas.”

Antonio and Mirabel exchange a short glance before looking at Bruno. The man is too busy trying to teach Gabriela a new trick to notice them staring at him.  The rat is especially stubborn today. 

“Uh. Ninjas? Like in Luisa’s adventure books?” Mirabel wonders out loud. “But Tio. How could turtles be old Japanese warriors?”

Bruno finally gives up on trying to make the rat jump through a tiny hoop and lifts his head. His face is blank for a long time. The kids know that look by now and wait patiently. It’s the look their tio gets when he’s said something out loud that was not meant for other ears and now he has to backtrack to figure out what he has said that made those around him look at him as if he is crazy. The Madrigals try to not give him that feeling as much as they can, but sometimes there are things coming out of Bruno’s mouth that just make it a little difficult to not be completely baffled. 

Finally the older man shakes his head and laughs a little. He waves his hand as if to shoo the question away. “Ah. Forget it. That was a weird vision about the future.”

“There are Ninja Turtles in the future?” Antonio exclaims with stars in his eyes and clambers up and over so he can hang off of Bruno’s arm. “Really?”

Bruno winces. “Nah, not really. Sorry Tonito, it was just a TV-show. Or was it a movie?”

Mirabel snickers. “A TV-Show about turtles that are ninjas? Sorry, but that sounds kinda ridiculous. Somehow I don’t think that was-” she stops and coughs into her hand. “will be a very successful show.”

“Oh, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be very successful. A huge franchise!” Mirabel tilts her head at the unfamiliar word and Bruno turns back towards Antonio who is still climbing all over his uncle as if he is his own personal jungle gym. “You see, it’s about four brothers. They used to be normal turtles, but then they got mutated-”

“Mutated?”

“Uhm, they got changed. By an outside force.”

“Like with our gifts!”

Bruno snaps his fingers. “Yes, exactly. They got a gift. They grew bigger and stronger and faster and their father trained them to be warriors. Ninjas. They have enemies and allies and lots of adventures. They live underground, but they go up at night to fight evil and eat pizza.”

Antonio is hooked.

“Wooooooooow! Is their papa also a turtle?”

“Their father is actually a rat who also got mutated.”

Mirabel can’t hold it anymore. She bursts out laughing and falls backwards into the grass, holding her aching stomach. “A rat! No wonder you like them!” 

“Who says I like them?” Bruno shoots back, but then leans closer to his littlest sobrino and whispers. “I love them! Sadly the rats don’t like the little carapaces I made for them. But if I had some turtles, I would totally do a play about them.”

Antonio vows to find his uncle some turtles one day, even if he has to leave the Encanto for that.

He wants more stories about these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But let me give some fun facts about some of them!

Toucans are relatives of the woodpecker family!

Pigeons and doves are, while adorable, not very smart. Their nests hardly qualify for nests. You can check out the subreddit r/mourningderps for lots of "how are you still a thriving species" posts!

Mourning doves make a sound when they fly away. You might think it's them vocalizing but its actually a sound produced by their wing beats called wing whistles! Here is a video I found if you want to hear it.

If you play Animal Crossing you might have noticed Brewster ask if you'd like pigeon milk with your coffee. It's a real thing! Pigeons and doves and some other birds produce it in their crop to feed to their chicks. I guess Brewster is adopting you XD.

My favorite owl is the Barred Owl. Their calls are super cool, it sounds like "Who cooks? Who cooks for you?!" Their latin name is Strix varia. I think I heard one outside my window one night! They are closely related to the Spotted Owl, which is endangered and lives out in the Western US in old growth forests.

Also, birds are colorful because the males are trying to attract mates. That's why it's usually only the males who have such bright colors. During non breeding seasons they often lose their colorful feathers. Red Wing Black Birds (one of my favs because I love their throaty calls) only show off their red wing bands during breeding season and cover them up the rest of the year.

Oh also, Bald Eagles! They start out not bald! They are juveniles for quite a few years, you might confuse them for golden eagles because they are all brown. As they age they gain the white tail and head feathers. So only the sexually mature adults are bald :)

Also Bald Eagles and other birds of prey will do dramatic mating displays where they lock talons and plummet towards the earth. Trust falls I guess XD

Ok um last one. Blue jays are actually members of the corvid family! Meaning they are related to crows and ravens and very smart :)

Top 5 weeknight dinners

here you go nosy people here's what i'm like in real life!! ;)

5. Mushroom pasta--I'm vegetarian, I don't have time, this one is self-explanatory

4. Mushroom and kale pizza--slap some toppings on a flatbread and boom

3. Minestrone--Just take any canned or frozen vegetable, dump it in a pot with some whole-grain pasta and tomato puree, and voila, you have a soup! (Do you notice a theme of italian food being easy for me to make)

2. Mini vegetarian sausage rolls! This one is a game changer--wrap vegetarian meatballs in canned crescent roll dough, bake for like 10 minutes. Very cheap, very easy, very tasty

Anything someone else has cooked for me! I love cooking but my job is very taxing so the less executive functioning on a workday the better
