Three things to note about Cater Diamond!

To be honest I wanted to write three things I love about Cater, but I couldn’t come up with them. Which is the first for me. I think the only other character I struggled with like this was for Malleus. So instead of three things I love, here are three things to note. After writing all this I've grown to like Cater a bit more, so maybe you'll like more after reading this too.

Trends with Cater

Cater is the only character who seems to follow trends to the bone in Twisted Wonderland. I have to applaud him for this, following trends and keeping up with them is hard work. However, it does speak volumes about Cater as a character too. It shows that he doesn’t have a concrete style of his own. He truly is a hollow out card and I love that about Cater.

I love this because it’s very true to many people who are still learning about themself. Or you could also take it as a way to show how many are insecure about not being liked. Both are true to Cater, so for this I have to stand and clap for how he’s written.

Memories

The collection of photos Cater takes are part memories and part viral post, but I have a feeling it’s a bit more. It’s overly obvious Cater is uncomfortable with getting too close to others, he most often prefers the opposite. However, every so often he’ll ask to take a photo with you, as seen in his many voice lines. In those moments he doesn’t mention it for being a magicam post, but rather just for a photo memory. That small detail is quite nice of him. Or maybe it’s just me misinterpreting him.

Beware of that friendly smile!

He’s one of most friendly characters in the whole cast, canon wise. Everyone, aside from Idia has little to no trouble talking to him. This, I’m sure, is due to Cater being bold and feeling no boundaries among others. Despite that, every friendly joke comes with a half-hearted truth. We see this when he engages in conversation with Malleus, calling him scary, enigmatic and hard to read. While he means it all in lighthearted banter, it rubs Malleus the wrong way. Causing Malleus to hold a grudge against Cater for it.

This wasn’t the only time Cater tried to hide behind this friendly smile of his either. In the beanfest event he purposely pushed Deuce into getting the supplies box, fully aware of the opposing team ahead. Later, he was able to use this as a chance to get the supplies as the opposing team was gone. A rather mischievous fellow.

Three things you see and hope it sets you free.

I see the glaring white light, emiting from the bulb in the ceiling. It's too bright to look at for more than a moment, and so instead my eyes find you sitting beside me, you are unaware of my high anxiety. Next I see the bottle placed in between us, it is filled with tap water and at last I start to think, that i might not sink.

So I breath a little deeply, counting up to four not five, and after a few minutes it feels like I'll survive.

I was today years old when I discovered that Ken Lowery and Gavin Guidry had done a 16-page Star Wars: Rogue One fan comic. It features Jyn Erso doing what Jyn does best — screwing up the plans of the Empire while saving orphans. It’s well done with some really great full page images that showcase Guidry’s ability to draw action shots:

And best of all, it’s free to download. Lowery has several other comics up on his Bannerless Games site that you can purchase, in addition to several games and design tools.

Eliana Machado got a full ride to Britechester, but had to play on the soccer team, which she found super boring. By her senior year, she was a starter, but she'd rather play basketball any day of the week.

She and her sister don't have the sunniest relationship. Most of the time they get along okay, but they don't have much in common, and Iara can be unnecessarily mean sometimes. I think she's jealous of Eliana, but I might be biased.

Although she's maxed her cooking and gourmet cooking skills--and just earned a distinguished degree in culinary arts--she wants to explore Selvadorada and learn more about her roots.
