"Parade" and "Higher", composed by Victor Le Masne, performed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra
This is for those going through Olympic withdrawal. French composer Victor Le Masne was tasked with composing music for both the Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies this year as the Paris 2024's musical director. The Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra was also used to play the original music composed for the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
Here are two pieces you may have heard most over the last two weeks – and will continue to hear during the upcoming Paralympics. The first, "Parade", played over the medal ceremonies across the Olympics. The second piece here, "Higher" (here is a shorter "club mix" that was played at venues across the Games), was played during the extended journey of a masked rider galloping across the Seine on a metallic horse during the Opening Ceremony.
Le Masne wanted to build a musical bridge between contemporary and older pop/electronica/disco (the rhythmic complexities found in the final minutes of this piece) and classical music (the acoustic elements) across his soundtrack to the Olympics and Paralympics.

I know they are naturally disproportionate because the games are hosted there this year, but I really like how much France is supporting their para-athletes. Whenever a French athlete is there there's a real wave of support - tons of cheering and dozens of flags being waved.
Really nice to see the stadiums, in general, full and with a lot of support. I forgot the athlete, but there was a quick interview with them and she said how before the stadiums were pretty much empty as only coaches, friends, and family attended the paralympics.

Paris Paralympics: India hit 20-medal milestone, surpass Tokyo tally
India surpassed its Tokyo 2020 tally to hit the 20-medal mark for the first time ever in the history of the Paralympic Games and the count is expected increase on Wednesday with the country’s para-athletes continuing their hunt for medals.
After Deepthi Jeevanji pocketed bronze in women’s 400m T20 race on her Paralympics debut in the evening. India added four more medals to its tally in Para-Athletics late on Tuesday night, with two double-podium finishes swelling its tally past it’s Tokyo haul of 19 medals.
