gender envy but in a sense that i feel like wearing makeup like this and rocking it is a (cis) male privilege??? like of course men wearing makeup face all kinds of prejudice but what i mean is that this makeup gets to be quite simple AND messy. messy is part of the charm. i just feel like that's less acceptable when you're a woman. like god i just want to wear makeup like this, messy and weird and simple but i'm not confident enough. because as a woman makeup is more expected of you, so by default it has to be better, and look better.
