Fiber arts tumblr is the only place I can say "I'm not selling this for any less than $200" where people are more likely to go "oh. yeah 😔" than just straight up balk at the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on a tiny 5 inch plushie (that has 4 different colors) (handmade without a pattern and nothing else like it on the market) (atypical design) (took at least 6 hours)

Hello, I disappeared cos I decided to obsessively learn Blender and buy a resin 3D printer so I could make better, easier busts.
So here’s John, I’ll be painting him this week 💃

The Pale Elf
3D print sculpted by Bulkamancer, printed in Siraya Tech grey UV Resin on my Elegoo Mars 2, and hand-painted by me! I cannot be more pleased with how he turned out 🥰
Detailed shots under the cut
Had to share all these gorgeous details, like the TEXTURES on this models are just gorgeous! All that filigree and bead detailing is raised which made painting it much easier, but still very tedious (so worth the results though). This was my first time painting a face bigger than tabletop mini scale, and boy was I intimidated. Had some friends point me to ball-jointed doll makers and learned about detailing faces with chalk pastels, so I used pastels to give his cheeks some colour, blush the tips of his ears, and make the shadows under his eyes. I could go back and add more colour/texture to his hair but I think its best if I leave it, lest I play with it too much and end up ruining things. I have to keep reminding myself that just cause I can see things in macro lens photos, doesn't mean I'm actually able to go correct those things 😅
Regardless, I'm so so happy with how he turned out, and its crazy that I can look at this and go "me!!! I PAINTED THAT!! ME!!!", and now I have a stunning model of everyones favourite lil rat bastard (affectionate) vampire mans💕

Welcome to the Monkey-face Grecko!
The little guy that @rabdoidal made during a crafternoon from an accidently included sheet in the giraffe stag beetle model kit I brought along
He can also been seen terrorising a tram which terrorised us with making it (that tram is 1/3 of the instructions for the entire book nook and yes it may kill me)

The floofy lil scrunkly. The deadly forest floofster. The teensy cute lil dangerous armed guard.
hello there. i made another Worship fanart model. wahoooo!
The Akka (once again, from the upcoming game Worship, developped by Chasing Rats Games) are a tribe of various wolf-like beasts sporting exposed skulls on which they paint symbols depending on their profession, with different types of horns and antlers growing from them. These furry creatures obey no god and no rulers, having been abducted and massacred en-masse by those who follow both. Only strength and wisdom lead them, with powerful warriors and old shamans earning the most respect among the Akka.
Also, they very floofy. Very important detail.
Links to the awesome CRG people's Worship stuff: Steam Page, Kickstarter, Discord, Fandom Wiki (tho we are planning to relocate the wiki over to wiki.gg, so that link might be useless in a few months!)

im very torn on ai art because on one hand. one can create some fucking mad creature concepts, surreal art and horror pieces unlike anything ive ever seen before, because ais are so good at compositing images without context and that increases that feeling of uncanny valley greatly. but then theres also plenty of people who use ai art for something that basically amounts to art theft with extra steps. like some ‘prompt: dress. digital art. massive breasts. elsa frozen. disney colors. big boobs. (artist 1), (artist 2), popular on art station’ type shit and you end up with the most generic looking perfectly conventionally attractive people/most basic fantasy concept art youve ever seen
