What is this..?

He was just supposed to look in your wallet for your dorm keys and he's seeing this..?

His face is beet red to the point that it's almost matching his face

It's a picture of him, secretly taken as he works in his desk

"What a surprise." He mumbled to himself as he picked your open wallet up that he saw just laying around the floor in his kitchen.

He put it in front of him with a grin to look at it better

It was a picture of him, also secretly taken, cooking in the same kitchen with flour in his cheeks

CATER DIAMOND

He dramatically gasped

You left for bathroom and you told Cater that the movie tickets is in your wallet and he should get them out

And now he's squealing aloud as he look at his picture in one of your wallet pockets

It's a picture of him he took in your phone

If he got a chance he'll definetly get a red marker and write "My boyfriend" I circle it and put an arrow to his face

He almost dropped your wallet to the ground as soon as he saw your and his selfie printed and in your wallet

You have your hand around his shoulder and smiling so brightly in the camera

He low key felt that he needed to do the same

So the next day he had your sleeping face inside his wallet too

RIDDLE ROSEHEART is a strict ruler, a top student, a perfectionist—any other adjective to describe him that wasn't romantic. Even after the overblot incident, it was difficult to imagine anyone liking him with the traits he carried around the campus; it was even more difficult to imagine him, THE riddle roseheart, liking someone else. Especially if that someone is you—an infamous first-year rule-breaker who hangs out with deuce, ace, and grim—and what's even better, they aren't capable of casting a single spell. A bizarre pair was commented on by most of the students and a few of the teachers and staff. A top student, like riddle, who is almost perfect in every aspect of his life, with someone like you who could care less about upholding simple rules and regulations.

No one believed when deuce, ace and grim said, "riddle and prefect are dating!" and "our teapot tyrant is dating our prefect!! can you believe it!?" Yet when heartslabyul students started seeing their dorm leader and you together more often, the dots were starting to connect, and soon enough, almost everyone knew you two were dating. The teasing went up rapidly (by a certain person in octavinelle, who's also 188cm eel), especially towards riddle, not that it offended him, but it would leave him with a tomato face frequently during the day.

Dating riddle was not a journey you would have thought you would ever experience. It was cute the way he would get shy around showing affection towards you in public—the slight brush of his hand hitting yours, the tints of pink on his cheeks, the (not so) sneaky glances he gives to you when he thinks you're not looking. The obvious blush you see when you catch him staring at you red-handed. Everyone can tell you two will have heart eyes whenever the other is near. You can hear the coo's and ew's from your fellow peers, yet you pay no attention to them as riddle takes all your attention for himself. Whether he's aware of that or not, you don't complain; you could never complain when it came to him.

Yet, of course, all relationships have their fights and disagreements. Most of them would be about you, your rule-breaking habits, and how you don't care enough about your studies. How you don't seem to care that you would fail your classes if your current grades keep up like this. It's at these times that you can clearly feel his disappointment in you. It's these times where you can't help but feel like he can do so much better than you, wondering why he even settled for you in the first place. It's these times where you can see riddle trying to change and not let his old habits slip in again. He's trying, and you can see that all his hardest efforts are never unnoticed by you.

As sweet as the relationship you two shared was, somehow its flavor turned slightly bitter. It was starting to get draining, draining, and draining. Each day, a riddle will ask you to do something or wear something for him, and you do it in a heartbeat! The way he started to slowly change your schedule to match his, the way he started to limit your free time with friends and activities. Spending less time inside your own dorm and more in riddle's bedroom. Gradually, you seem to know more about parts of a book than you do outdoors. It didn't bother you to sacrifice these little things for riddle. Doing little things and doing favors for him was never a bother to you—never at all—until it started getting way, way too much for you.

Here you are again, sitting in his bedroom. If you weren't returning to your dorm, you most likely would've forgotten what it looked like. The history book in front of you started to feel like hands dragging your head to its incredibly long text full of everything that you weren't going to try and digest. You want to throw away the book and do something without sitting your ass on the floor for more than 8 hours. You stand up, telling riddle you're leaving. Replying defensively, he tried to stop you, but, of course, being the natural rule-breaker you are, you resisted him. You aren't sure how exactly it happened, but what was supposed to be a little act of rebellion against his strict behavior turned into a full-blown argument. There were tears. You couldn't take this any longer than you had; you were at your breaking point, and you think now is a good time to fucking leave.

Stomping angrily towards the door, not even bothering to grab and bring your books with you, turning the knob to open the door to leave, or attempting to turn the knob, turns out it's locked. You scoff at his effort to keep you within his room before you could try and unlock the door and actually be able to turn the knob—you feel a pair of arms locking themselves around your stomach.

"Please, don't leave me," he says in a whisper, yet with the quiet atmosphere, you can hear what he says perfectly. Pleading, he's pleading... That's.. unusual. It's not like him to be pleading, yet knowing his home life, you should've known. Behind all that strict and commanding demeanor was a traumatized child wanting to play and have fun like other kids. He sounded so lost and so alone; he was trembling behind your back. His tears tainted the back of your shirt, and he tightened his grip around your stomach like a child not wanting their parents to leave for work. You are mad; you are so mad at him, acting like he was the one suffering in this relationship, yet something in you can't be mad at him.

In your head, your rational side advises you to leave. Leave him weeping at the entrance of his bedroom door as he watches you walk away from this exhausting relationship, away from this draining push and pull, and away from him and his emotional baggage. You want to leave; you need to leave. The door is right there in front of you, waiting for it to be opened, waiting for you to leave. Taking several glances at the door knob and your hand, you let your hand lose grip of the handle. You lost all the energy to try and leave, and frankly, giving up seemed like a good option for you. You could just sit back and let riddle take the lead. riddle wouldn't have to be alone during his toughest times because you would be there for him.

"Thank you.. thank you for not leaving... I can't live without you. I would lose it!"

[a/n; woah first yandere riddle work in this blog (as of now since i have another yandere riddle work that i have saved in my drafts) and i must say a very interesting character to write as a yandere, also another one i'm not quite familiar in yandere terms. also i was a little addicted to grinding on honkai star rail for my bronya built i've almost completed so this may have took a little while aha.. (though it's nothing new in this blog LMAOO) but thank you anon for requesting riddle with dialogue #39! terribly sorry for not doing azul i really only had motivation to finish riddle's part so for the sake of my sanity i just didn't write for azul, perhaps next time i will loll. In which Human-Grim has to take care of our NRC-Boys-As-Animals, and has a time of it. This was a lot of fun to do, a lot of the characters already had animal motifs, others where very hard to come up with an animal equivalent. Still not particularly happy with some of my choices, but c’est la vie. Also been a hot minute since I've spent this long on a drawing. ➮ RIDDLE ROSEHEART would be a little intimidating by you. Especially if your taller and you loom over him. It's kind of like with the Malleus case except you don't have magic and you aren't one of the 5 most powerful sorcerer. He doesn't believe you're a bad person, it's more of your aura that makes you hard to approach you. But he thinks your a decent person.

➮ I think he'd have a hard time communicating with you. Cause of your mask and voice it's feels a little un-human, you know? So your interactions with him would be little to none, or at least he wants it to be. If you guys bump into each other often then there might be a chance for you to have a longer conversation with him and maybe change his mind about your mask and voice and unintentionally get him to develop a crush on you? Who knows...

➮ I feel like the only way for him to slightly or potentially get him to develop a crush on you is you making the first move, because he's most likely too scared to do it himself. I think he'd be a little confused on why you feel that way, but he gets like the gist of it. He'll try to be more understanding about how you feel about yourself and hopefully get you to feel more confident about yourself and maybe stop wearing your mask?

➮ While he is a little stiff, he's trying he's best to help you feel better about yourself. If you show him your face, he'll be a little surprised about seeing your face for the first time and flattered that you trust him enough to show your face. He isn't the best at comforting but he tries he's best. With him trying to recovering from he's own trauma and you trying to gain confidence it's just a bundle of hurt and comfort from the both of you, and honestly he wouldn't have it any other way.

➮ FLOYD LEECH probably takes an interest on you first time he meets you due to your mask and voice and how you refuse to take it off. He'll probably bother you about it everyday and always tries to find you so that he can play with you and you guys sort of bond over that. He doesn't really get why you wear a mask and always tries to steal it from you. Despite others thinking how creepy your mask is, he actually finds it cute for some reason. With him being a moody person, switching from good to bad you decide to let him do his thing to avoid being squeezed to death by him.

➮ Somehow, in someway you and Floyd become friends in a way. You're not really sure what to consider Floyd as but he seems to consider you a friend. He sort of just drags you around whenever he pleases and you just go along with it because why not. Thankfully Floyd doesn't steal your mask as often now but he still seems to bother you about it. Other than giving you a sea themed nickname, Floyd tends to do things that will make others question if you guys really are just friends. You deny them thinking it's just Floyd being affectionate, right...?

➮ Honestly not much change from his behavior if he had a crush on you other than being more affectionate towards you. Whenever he's bored he'll go on an adventure on finding you because he wants to play with his shrimpy~ While he does like playing with you, if you don't want to currently he'll just stay by your side while you do your stuff. He still bothers you about your mask but not to the point he annoys you. It's basically just your usual Floyd wanting to play with you.

➮ If you ever tell Floyd about why you wear a mask after so long of bothering you. He'll go oddly silent through your whole talk about it. He's doesn't really relate to you so he doesn't really have much to say but after you're done he puts his hand on your head, patting it in the process. After that he just proceeds to give you a big o'l squeezed or I guess a hug, if you want to consider it a hug. So now if anyone were to comment on your mask you'll find Floyd glaring at them behind you. So now you just have a tall eel bodyguard following you around and it doesn't look like he'll leave you alone anytime soon.

➮ IDIA SHROUD legit thought you were a serial killer and were out to murder him for a second. Especially when you stare at him for long periods of time, he thought he was gonna die from so much anxiety. Taking note on how he mostly hides in his room all day and barely goes out instead just using a iPad, he probably heard you from ortho and tried to talk to you because of how much he's brother talk about you but saw this creepy masked person (which was you) and got scared. Probably won't leave his room for another 11 months after that encounter. Hopefully you didn't notice him staring at you...

➮ He probably told Ortho about how he saw this person with a creepy and mask that also has a creepy voice to go with it and ortho gets a little confused and tries to search on who's he talking about and just shows him a picture of you and goes yes that's the one and ortho tells him, this is the person he wants him to meet and he just there stunned. Idia is having a internal crisis about how he's younger ortho has potentially befriended a serial killer and is stressing so much about it. Idia's hair is turning pink with how much he's stressing over you....

➮ With Idia being scared go out of his room and also scared to meet you again it's honestly up to Ortho to get him to meet his new friend other than his brother. Even in iPad, Idia is too scared to meet you again after the first encounter (though you guys just stared at each other and didn't talk but it counts) he probably only went to make his brother, ortho happy. It takes a lot like A LOT for him to have a full-on conversation with how he thinks your a serial killer and how your gonna murder him and stuff, but he gradually warms up to you.

➮ I think Idia can relate to being more confident with wearing a mask cause he uses an iPad around the school to avoid going out of his room and avoid socialization. I can see you guys talking about it with each other and how you guys both understand each other about socialization and being unable to talk to unfamiliar people. Over time Idia starts to understand why you wear the mask but is still concern on your choice of design of the mask but tries to be supportive about it. He thinks you're not as bad as he thought you were.
