sorry to be the one to tell y’all but im like 92% sure that Legend is at least like a little bit fugly. just a bit

and even if he isn’t, Legend would still have a very odd relationship with physical beauty. Yuga was freakishly obsessed with it and often decried Link for being ugly, calling him “another worm,” a “filthy [fool],” “a sad, drab painting,” and an “inferior form.” now ofc this could be interpreted as Lorule having opposite beauty standards as Hyrule, but i doubt that considering how much Yuga praised Princess Zelda. and also, if you believe that Tri-Force Heroes is canon to LU, they also insulted the hell out of him there.

so. yeah sorry y’all but Legend’s probably got a fucked up relationship with his looks. and he also might be a little ugly by Lorulean/Hytopian beauty standards

obviously i’m not stating this as fact, headcanon what you want. just pointing out an interesting thing from the games

It’s wrong, and it’s unprofessional, and he just needs to sleep to get his head back in the game because tomorrow needs to go perfectly and he is absolutely not allowed to think about his race engineer bedding him here in Florida of all places. Florida! Charles collapses onto the too-cushy couch in his room and leans back against the cushions with a groan. Half the time he’s been out on the paddock they’ve got set up inside the stadium, he’s too hot to think straight, let alone plan on meeting Pierre anywhere to do anything.

He'd seen Pierre earlier, actually: the team had given out a bunch of baseball-style shirts for the first American race of the season, including the team of engineers on both sides of the garage, which meant of course they’d be wearing them walking around today. Pierre had seen him walking towards the edge of the motorhomes and waved, wearing that clever shark-like smile he’s always got on when he’s teasing Charles during their briefings. As he’d lifted his arm, though, that loose shirt had shifted on his torso, revealing just how many buttons his engineer was leaving unbuttoned. The light caught on the chain hanging around his neck. Charles, helpless, had waved back in a trance.

BBU Community Days: Day 2

So one aspect about the BBU I've thought about a bit but would love some other opinions on is second languages. Specifically for pets.

So like, would they be conditioned into forgetting they can speak it, somehow? Certainly reading/writing it I imagine working the same way conditioning does to stop them reading/writing their first language, but what about speaking? What if, as in my OC Lea's case, the handlers don't know they speak another language? Do they forget they can, but are still able to? Alternatively, do they forget the language entirely, or do they know they can speak it? Or do WRU (or other companies) use those pets, train pets that offer translation services?

I think they'd want to replace people sign languages with a simpler sign language designed for pets, as well as definitely keeping lip-reading to make things easier, but for other languages... how would it work? I mean, I can't imagine a lot of owners liking their pet speaking a language they can't, right? What if their pet insults them *gasp*? Can't have the... uh... good name of WRU being damaged, now, can we?

So, yeah. Second languages! Languages in general! How would they work for pets?
